- REBEKAH (10/5): It was a much needed break for me and hubby and we enjoyed our stay - We stay here often for staycations and love it!
- Geoff (7/5): - The thermostat was set at 70 but the room wasn’t very cool at bedtime. We turned it down to 68 and couldn’t tell a difference. Also, the front desk didn’t ask or explain how to leave the parking garage prior to our departure. Didn’t realize our room key was needed.

- Christine (10/5): - Parking was not easy. Lots of people parking that were not staying at the hotel. No easy access into the hotel from the parking garage. Needs more amenities and dining options for the price of the room!
- Monica (10/5): - Great vibe, family friendly and night life
- Carol (8/5): - I like the location. You can walk out the hotel door to shopping and dining. Great restaurant selection depending on your price preference. Sometimes the hotel gets a little too busy on Saturday’s with special events but otherwise a great stay

They even surprised us with a bottle of champagne and a sweet handwritten congratulations note such a thoughtful touch that truly made our night extra special.

- L1034ADjackb (10/5): Best hotel I ever stayed at - The lobby smells good
I want to live there
Even 11 floors
But it doesn’t let my dog in
Shampoo is good
Best hotel I ever stayed
- T35OPkaip (10/5): Excellent service - We ate breakfast at OMA and it was the best ever. Rosalinda that works in the kitchen has the best customer service she went over and above to ensure her guests enjoyed their food and if they needed anything she went and make accommodations to keep a smile on everyone in the family's face. She was so helpful! She cut some fresh fruit and made my daughter so happy. It is the small things that kept us at this hotel an additional night. We will be back.
- Javier (10/5): - The staff were great. Pool was amazing
- Sergio (10/5): - Awesome experience. Great service by staff, beautiful property.
- Frank (10/5): - Wonderful hotel we loved it!

- Walter (8/5): - Nice hotel and will stay here again when next am in town.
- Marcus (6/5): - Awesome
- AmbassadorDee (10/5): Staycation - Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel
From the moment I stepped out of my car and handed over my keys to valet, I knew I was in for a wonderful experience at the Renaissance Dallas Plano legacy west hotel. The hotel itself is spectacular and welcome I received from the staff set the tone for my stay.
Checking in was a breeze, although they didn’t have an upgrade available, I was offered a lovely room on a high floor, which was much appreciated. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcomed and valued as a titanium member.
I enjoyed a great drink at the bar before heading out on the shuttle to curry pizza. That was an additional treat not having to drive within 5 miles radius.
A special thanks to Tony for crafting an exceptional drink that enhanced my evening. While there was a minor issue with one staff member, I believe it’s important not to let that overshadow the overall positive experience I had. I highly recommend this hotel and anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I will definitely be returning in the future.
- Edwin (8/5): - Love it
- James (10/5): Wonderful hotel - Great place to stay. Love it!
- Q7890XKcharlesf (2/5): Disappointed - Valet inefficient- check in odd. Not enough staff and staff very inexperienced and not trained well
Lobby bar was nice looking - but couldn’t get service, so had to go across the street. Wanted to eat and drink at Whiskey moon.
Hotel lobby not presented well. Unattractive breakfast buffet on display at 430 pm.
Room had no amenities. ( lotion etc)
Paid 295 for a pool cabana and staff was unaware. Staff didn’t offer service in cabana until they gave last call.
I would recommend never paying for a cabana. Really bad value and underwhelming experience.
Again - pool staff not sharp - not trained well.
Good security at hotel though. Felt safe with all of the security staff walking around - but why?
Thought we were going to an upscale hotel but definitely not
Hotel operator was very nice and helpful
- QueenDess (10/5): Good service - Venus Carbin is so precious & sweet. Every time I come she has the brightest smile & ready to assist any given moment. This location is always recommended. Especially because of her I will be back. This is my personal go to staycation. Please check this place out, you won’t be disappointed .
- Jennifer (8/5): Fantastic hotel in every way except the bed. - My husband and I enjoyed a night away for a delayed Valentines celebration. The staff was very warm and welcoming. Our room was ready early which was very nice. The room was nicely appointed with a very clean bathroom. The location was great, close to all of the restaurants and shops. The only reason for leaving a 4 star is for the uncomfortable bed. It was just too firm to be comfortable. I realize it's a hotel and not my home, but I expect a better mattress at such a luxury hotel. I have experienced more comfortable mattresses at lower priced hotels. And while I love all of the extra thoughtful touches of a better hotel, I also love a good night's sleep.
- Dustin (10/5): Perfect staycation - Always great! Comfortable & clean with the perfect location!
- caseytH3283DV (2/5): Unfortunately a 1 star review for customer service. - VALET damaged my car and will not take responsibility nor will the hotel. Took 20 days for them to give the final verdict. Absolutely unbelievable and I chose this hotel to stay as my staycation.
Things happen often and we understand this fact as part of life, but you’d think the principle is if a business damages your property and you paid for a service that they would make it right.
This is all in all poor customer service. The hotel itself is nice but what’s nice if extremely terrible customer service when something goes side way?
- Doug (10/5): - Perfect spot
- Sina (2/5): - I have been waiting for 40 minutes to get my car. I paid for valet service to get faster and convince, not for 40 minutes on slow day. I was wondering how you forgot to bring my car to the door? This is not fair to pay for the service but not getting it.
- MAYA (8/5): - The room itself was good, but the cleanliness was a little questionable because the robe in the closet lookes someone has used it and did not get washed.
- Verified traveler (2/5): LOUD Nightclub next door - don't plan on sleeping. - I visit this property a couple times a month and this will be my last stay. The Night Club next door in Legacy Shopping Center has ruined this property. It is SO LOUD until 3AM. The music is SO LOUD it can be heard over the TV & a sound machine.
- Stephanie (10/5): - Room was very comfortable, check in and check out was convenient, and customer service was excellent. Oma offered a nice buffet for breakfast. Inviting and relaxing atmosphere.
- Juan (10/5): - Awesomeness
- michael (10/5): - Great location and staff. Room was extremely nice and clean. Lobby was fun and food at the lobby bar was better than expected.
- Amir (8/5): Very good -
- Rickey (10/5): - Amazing place! We will definitely return!
- GAIL (10/5): - I had a great day
- Nadine (10/5): - Gorgeous hotel, very conveniently located
- TravelingT2008 (2/5): Don’t stay here if you want to sleep! - Don’t stay here if you want to sleep. I booked this on a Friday night as we are passing through on a road trip. After a long day of driving I got in about 8 PM with my two small children. It is currently 1 AM and have been trying to sleep for hours but the base from a nearby club is booming in our room. I called down at 10:30 PM to see how long it would go on but the person I talked to, didn’t seem to know. I can’t be the first person to ever complained about this. Sadly, they didn’t offer to move us to a different room but maybe all of them are loud. I have a full day of driving tomorrow and at this rate it will be on less than 5 hours of sleep.
- Jaay (10/5): Exceptional -
- doug (6/5): - Walls seemed very thin. You could hear everything from room next door.
Had to call front desk with noise complaint at midnight.
They did respond rapidly and noise stopped.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Your staff earning in the am are not pleasant or professional.
- Kim (10/5): - Staff was great! Restaurant and banquet food was amazing! Highly recommend!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great little getaway experience - One of our favorite hotels. Clean, stylish and lots to do.
- Terry (10/5): - My stay with my "Honey Bun" was memorable and very relaxing. The hotel was a beautiful place to retreat and get back to what's important which was time with each other.
Overall you better get you one of these...."What's that you ask❓A reservation at this breathtaking space with a sunset 🌆 view.🤗
Be Encouraged ✝️🕊️
- Katherine (10/5): - Great stay at Renaissance! Very clean and comfortable room. Great area close to many high end shops. Pool and hot tub were a huge plus too.
- Vicki (10/5): - Clean and comfortable
- 3000calories (8/5): Would stay again if it cost a little less - This hotel worked well for us. I got a good night sleep and the bed was comfortable. The view was also good as was the AC, the water temp, the water pressure and the cleanliness. I had no problem catching the elevators. The premium lounge is nice and relatively empty if uninspired. WiFi is good. Able to walk out and into Legacy area for dinner, car not needed
Things they can work on:
- Value for money: this doesn’t feel like a $400 night hotel
- sliding door for the bathroom means privacy is not guaranteed
- lobby area with bar has some football games on but can’t pull in out of area games
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I woke up to very loud music at 2 am- 5 so very poor nights sleep ugh
- Junko (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deauna (8/5): - The hotel was a great pick! Enjoyed our trip to Texas! But the last day at breakfast the server totally ignored me and my husband, never acknowledged us. Other then that great experience.
- Robert (10/5): - Great location
- Laura (10/5): - Great
- Carol (10/5): Never disappoints! - Always a favorite of ours! Clean, friendly staff and convenient to shopping and restaurants
- Kevin (10/5): - Always a great stay at this hotel. We stay here every year for the big OU/TX weekend and love coming back.
- lucas (2/5): - Customer Service at the Hotel sucks from the manager to some of the from line staff. I drove from Houston to Dallas to attend an event. The room was not ready at check in I waited over an hour to check in only to be offered a step down room at the only choice. I explained I was from out of town and was late for my event. The response was it was that or nothing. The next day I asked for breakfast the lady at the front desk was so rude.
Customer Service at this hotel is so poor and it starts from the manager.
- tiffanyh396 (2/5): No sleep before 2am because of club music rattling my room - No sleep before 2am because the club next door is so loud. It’s absolutely ridiculous- music was so loud it rattled my windows and I could feel the bass when I laid in bed!
Plus the room design is flawed -
The closet is two stacked rods that are too close together so your hand ups bunch up at the bottom.
There is zero storage place for your items in the bathroom and very little counter space. I had to keep most of my stuff on the dresser in the room because it wouldn’t fit.
- Courtney (8/5): - Room was not quiet until outside shopping traffic died down. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Nice amenities and area. Very nice staff.
- Bart (10/5): - Great place. Highly recommend!
- Helen (2/5): - I have stayed at this property before and always had a good experience in the past. This time they put me in room 1506. There is all kinds of work being done on that floor. No one should have been put on the floor. The whole floor was covered in Home Depot brown paper, walls and floor.
Dust was everywhere. I even took videos. There was knocking across the hall late night and it appears it was the staff elevators.
Terrible room and poor experience.
- Tasha (10/5): - Great access to shopping and dining, room
Service, breakfast was nice, beautiful lobby, bar and drinks were great. Chef was serving midday desserts in lobby.
- Richard (10/5): - I wish they had a comfortable chair to sit and relax in.. The modern designs may be neat looking but worthless to sit in..
- Verified traveler (6/5): Stay was ok. - Booked this room for my bday for me and my husband. Booked a corner room so we would have a soaking tub. Did not have that. The air was not working and it got really hot. We were super disappointed with the price we paid for this to happen.
- Bre (10/5): - We love this place! So beautiful and great for a quick weekend vacay!
- Bryon (10/5): - The hotel is immaculate and upscale at an affordable price. The rooms are nice and the beds/pillows are comfortable.
- Travis (10/5): - Good
- Erika (10/5): - Great hotel, exceptional customer service!
- Dustin (4/5): Not so great stay - Wifi didn't work in the room, We were suppose to have a microwave in the room when we got there but ended up having to run one down. The thermostat kept readjusting to 78 degrees. Had to deal with all of this with a baby as well.
- ERIKA G (10/5): Muy bonito y bien ubicado - Muy bien ubicado en una zona linda, donde puedes ir de compras y comer rico, el gym muy completo y cómodo, la alberca muy padre.
- Tuan (9/5): Overall, the location, room, and swimming pool was nice! Very clean and friendly staff. - The room, bed & the outdoor pool was great! Bed very comfortable The property was excellent
- Donna (10/5): Legacy West Renaissance, Plano - Great hotel. Beautiful. Great location. Perfect stay.❤️
- Whitney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Courtney (10/5): - Great property close to everything. Clean and friendly staff
- HockeyGuy52 (4/5): WARNING! READ ME! - This hotel is located in the upscale area of Plano, TX, known as Legacy West. The location is very convenient as it is close to wonderful restaurants and shops. The hotel is very modern and clean, hosting convention-goers as well as tourists. Probably not the best choice for young children, as I feel they would get bored. We had the brunch buffet at Oma's ($40!) and the food was fabulous. The hotel staff was very friendly- some of the best I have encountered. But now you will understand why we will never stay here again. . .
Our room was on the 10th floor (out of 15 floors), and faced north. Across the street is a restaurant & lounge called KAI — Legacy West (pan Asian cuisine). On a Thursday night (!) starting at 10:00 pm, we experienced some of the loudest techno-rock music I have ever heard coming from a restaurant. By 11:30 pm, my wife and I were just trying to get some sleep after our 4 hour drive to Plano and before all of our planned activities scheduled for the following morning. Despite both of us wearing ear plugs and piling pillows on our heads, we could hear and FEEL the drums and bass all the way up on the 10th floor of the Renaissance hotel. At one point, I considered sleeping on the bathroom floor as it would have at least provided some protection with a door. The loud music continued until 2:00 am, after which we eventually got a couple of hours of sleep.
We reported this issue to the front desk the next morning and were able to change our reservation to a south-facing room on the 15th floor (top floor). We were told that a lot of guests have complained about this noise issue. The next 3 nights were fine. The hotel staff told us that the noise from Kai is a known issue and that the (Plano) police had been called numerous times. We were advised to call the police ourselves "next time" or to ask for front desk assistance. I have notified the Marriott Bonvoy corporate customer service team but have not received a phone call from anyone despite multiple requests. Apparently nobody cares. . .
Personally, I usually don't mind music coming from outside venues. But the experience at the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel was absurdly over-the-top just wrong. If you decide to stay at this hotel, I strongly recommend booking a King bed room on the south side; all Queen bed rooms face north towards Kai. There is nothing the local hotel staff can do to resolve this conflict as previous negotiations have failed, as per the hotel staff.
This hotel is in a good location and has lots to offer business men and women, professionals, couples, and so on. Just be careful about your room selection. You might also want to review the KAI — Legacy West website, as they list their events. Anything displayed as occurring from 10:00 pm - 2:00 a.m. is going to be a nightmare for you if you are staying on the north side of the Renaissance. For me and my wife (who lived in Plano for 6 years), we are just going to stay at another fabulous area hotel the next time we visit. And we won't be going to Kai, either. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
- David (10/5): - good
- Terrence (10/5): The staff answered all of my questions. The location, shopping and dining experience is to die for. - The breakfast was pretty good a the hotel location and a perfect! The only thing that I didn’t like is that I haven’t moved to Plano as of yet. In 6 months I’ll be on my way!!!
- Fernando (10/5): Exceptional -
- Swafford (1/5): Bad -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Positive and peaceful - Always great staying at the Renaissance! Everyone in staff/valet is absolutely on their A game. We love the Mark the manager at front desk. Positive and peaceful. Thank you
