• Lindsay (4/5): Ugh! Never again. - Albert Hall (Where I was going) was ten minute walk away. Towels and bedding were clean. It had a fridge. Communication was very good with the host. Answered his phone or text immediately. Entrance was unclean. Sink in bathroom did not drain away. Tap was wonky. Room gave the appearance of being unclean with dirty curtains and walls. Didn’t dare have a shower. But what do you want for that price. Would no way stay for 2 nights and would never go again!

A technician was sent out but only confirmed that the router could be restarted to get internet back for 10 mins but he left before seeing the WiFi drop again. It could have been an issue with the provider or cabinet in the street, but either way we had no reliable internet all weekend, which makes planning your stay very difficult. The oven doesn't work and even if it did, there are no baking trays The cutlery was dirty when we arrived There is only 1 bowl, 1 spoon and 1 cup in a flat that sleeps 6 1 blunt knife, no chopping board, no frying pan There is an awful smell in the bathroom. Having a shower stops the smell for a while but it comes back within a day The bathroom tap is loose, the bathroom extractor fan doesn't work and the shower doors leave a gap so water sprays all over the bathroom floor outside the shower The upstairs bed was not comfortable The TV is mounted to the wall too high One of the plug outlets in the bedroom with a door doesn't work The upstairs neighbour would pace around their flat from 9pm to 3am every night

• Caterina (9/5): Oltre le mie aspettative - Mi è piaciuto il fatto che la stanza sia davvero in un posto magnifico! Si raggiunge tutto subito, e le fermate sono vicinissime. La stanza ha superato le mie aspettative, perché avevo letto recensioni davvero pessime. La stanza è grande, ci sono molte comodità (c'è un phon, un ventilatore piccolo e persino uno scaldino a ventola) e, soprattutto, per il prezzo e posizione in uno dei quartieri più lussuosi di Londra, non pretendevo altro. Le tende potrebbero essere aggiustate o cambiate. I muri potrebbero essere tinteggiati, e i mestoli potrebbero essere cambiati.
• Florence (6/5): - L'emplacement et les lits confortables rien à dire à ce sujet. Pas d'ustensiles pour nettoyer l'appartement. Lors de notre arrivée le chauffage était à fond... Trop chaud, puis dès le soir de notre arrivée le chauffage était non fonctionnel et cela tout le reste de notre séjour. En ce qui concerne les ustensiles de cuisine il n'y a pas une poêle et impossible de faire fonctionner le four car pas d'électricité au niveau du four ou four dysfonctionnel.... Et la salle de bain la douche dangereuse car il faut monter 2 marches, le sol est carrelé et pas de sortie de douche en tissus pour éviter de glisser. Heureusement que l'appartement était bien placé....

• Jana (3/5): SMRAD - Velmi dobrá poloha, blízko centra, hned kouske je větší obchod s potravinami, restaurace a hospůdky všude okolo, MHD take poblíž, poloha ubytování je opravdu super. Apartmán je prostorný a musím říct, že bylo čistě povlečeno, k dispozici byly i ručníky. Milým překvapením byla internetová televize. Dokonce jsme zaznamenali i nové závěsy a výmalbu na stěnách oproti fotkám, které jsme viděli v předchozích recenzích. V koupelně byl naprosto nechutný nevyvětratelný smrad. Záchod byl čistý, to ano, ale ten sprchový kout - katastrofa. Špína a asi i plíseň, raději jsem to zblízka nezkoumala. Aspoň tekla teplá voda. Ale v koupelně jsme se rozhodně nikdo nechtěl zdržovat déle, než bylo nutné. Všechny ostatní nedokonalosti jsme byli ochotni přehlídnout vzhledem k ceně ubytování a jeho poloze.
• Mikal (5/5): - Die Lage des Appartements neben der Royal Albert Hall und dem Hyde Park ist unschlagbar und auch Nachts ist es relativ ruhig. Für das Preis-Leistubhsverhältnis gilt das selbe. Wir konnten unkompliziert später einchecken, als die angebenen Zeiten und die Kommunikation mit der Unterkunft war sehr einfach über Booking möglich Man merkt leider dass das Appartement seine besten Tage schon hinter sich hat. Die Küchenuntensilien machten keinen sehr sauberen Eindruck und man durfte auch nirgendwo anders genauer hingucken. Die Dusche insbesondere war überhaupt nicht einladent.

Coffee and tea provided but no mugs or spoons. Noisy gas boiler all night. Loose tap handle. Badly maintained over all,cracked flooring,architrave with massive cracks and holes in. No temperature control apart from opening the windows.

Nos dieron un depto que a los 5 minutos nos cambiaron por uno mas chico, mas feo y mas incomodo. El primero tenia mesa, cocina, y mas comodidad. Tuvimos problemas con el agua caliente. Las almohadas medio pelo. Hacia mucho frio en la habitacion incluso con dos estufas prendidas y ventanas cerradas. El inodoro no es apto para un adulto, no entran las piernas. Poco recomendable.

• Michael (1/5): A DISGRACEFUL DOG HOLE. - The location is brilliant for restaurants, bars, cafés, supermarkets, the tube and the Royal Parks. The apartment was filthy. Hasn't been cleaned properly in years. No kitchen utensils to call, one teaspoon, filthy cupboards and two plates, though I would never have used them. The bathroom is in a sorry state and I dread to think what is growing in the shower door runner. The communal landing and hallway are just as bad, the stains on the disgusting carpet look like a murder was committed there. No, I would not house my worst enemy's dog in this place. I'm expecting my money back. In my 56 years on this Earth, THIS is the worst place I have had the misfortune of staying.

The place was filthy with marks all over the walls - what could have been bogies,blood or food,the place was very dusty mouldy chewing gum stuck to skirting board,mould in shower & tiles in shower were very dirty in places,had to sit sideways on the toilet as no room even for short legs when sitting properly! Gas boiler in living/sleeping area & no sign of a carbon monoxide monitor which I believe to be illegal,no latches or locks on windows.

• Laurence (5/5): L’appartement mérite d’être rénové - Il faisait très froid dans l’appartement Il n’y avait pas de prise pour changer les téléphones Et il y avait très peu de vaisselle même pas un mug pour boire un thé Ils nous a pas prévenu qu’il n’y avait pas de transport le 25 décembre et nous avons payé la nuit du 2 4 décembre alors que nous avons été obligé d’aller à l’aéroport la veille Donc nous avons payé 3 nuits au lieu de 2 nuits cela fait trop cher pour la prestation

También podrían mejorar el contacto para tener las llaves. Nada mas reservar se comunicaron muy rápido con nosotros pero una vez allí no contestaban ni cogían las llamadas. Finalmente fue fácil obtenerlas a la hora que habiamos previsto.

• Chattrin (2/5): This is the worst accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. - The location is convenient, just a 5–10 minute walk from the train station. It’s also close to Hyde Park, so I can go jogging there every day The room was very dirty, with dust everywhere as if it hadn’t been vacuumed at all. The heater didn’t work. It was terrible staying in London in November without proper heating. I stayed for 5 nights and reported it to the staff. They texted me telling me to use an electric heater, but there wasn’t one in the room. I had to sleep through the cold on the first night. The next day, I complained to Booking.com, and only then did they bring me a small electric heater. But it was far too small and didn’t warm the room properly. Absolutely awful. During all 5 nights, there was no cleaning service and they didn’t even take out the trash. This is the worst accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. If you don’t want a terrible experience, do not stay here. Booking.com should remove this property from the platform because the quality is extremely poor, dirty, and nothing like the photos shown
• Hattie (1/5): Nope. Dont do it. - Its in a good location. That is quite litterally all that is good about this place. We were asked for our arrival time, which we provided, only to turn upto the appartment to be told we had to collect they keys ourselves from the hotel a 10 minute walk away. This meant we would've been late going to other plans around the city. After much discussion, the owner begrudgingly brought the keys to us. However we were still late for our activities and had to miss out on a reservation as it took a further 15 minutes for him to turn up, and then a further 10 to check us in. No apology was given. The place was disgustingly dirty. The walls were covered in marks and debris, the towels had hair on them, the skirting boards were caked in dust. The "kitchen" had a kettle - no mugs - and no sink to either fill it or wash up in. The curtains had stains and were also covered in dirt. The main door to the apartment had a 1/2 inch gap all the way around making it in no way fireproof, or blocking any sound from either side of the door, the second door in the room which lead to another apartment was also not fireproof and left little privacy from other guests. The tv also did not work. Just to top it off.

• Roberto (1/5): Please don´t make the mistake of booking this dump - Location This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed. For 5 nights we had no Wi-Fi, no hot water, a wardrobe with one hanger, exposed electrical cables in the lounge, broken lamps, holes under the sink, and a kettle full of charred residue. Attempts to contact the owner by phone, text, email, and Booking.com were completely ignored, and when I went in person to speak to management, no one was available. The property is unsafe, poorly maintained, and the management is utterly unprofessional. I hope this place is shut down immediately — nobody should have to endure this.

Despite the below criticisms, it was really cheap and did the job for a place to sleep for a night but far from The Ritz! Apartment really small and not much like ones shown in advance. Could do with a full overall, floors and decor a bit tired. Lots of random, unide tifiable stains on walls and curtains. No cups available. Entrance lobby and stairs to entrance could do with a good clean, covered in dirt and random stains.

• Leilani (4/5): Overall not impressed. Wouldn’t stay again. Do better - The location was the only good part. Very dirty, the photos didn’t do it justice! Very tiny with dust everywhere. We didn’t use the kitchen and definitely wouldn’t want to. The hall way up to the apartment was HORRIBLE! So smelly! They knew what time we were arriving and still replied telling us to wait.

The price was good, but I can see why they are not charging more. Only had an email address to contact, so it would have been useful to have a text number for running late or getting there early. The place needs to be cleaned. The hallway is disgustingly dirty, and it doesn't set a good tone when you first enter. The room also needs work. A paint job is needed, and the windows and curtains are dirty. Needs more cutlery and crockery. There was some tea bags, but no cups or mugs to drink tea from. The bed was okay to sleep on and the shower was fine. Very small and nowhere to hang anything. With a little effort, it could be much nicer.

And a cupboard with a kettle on it. There were no cups so could not even make a drink. Just very disappointed would not stop there again. I would not class it as an apartment it was more a bedsit. Glad I was only there for 1 night.

La suciedad que había en el portal y hall de entrada y en todo el apartamento. El polvo no era de un día. No se podía respirar de la cantidad de polvo que pululaba por el ambiente. Tuvimos que comprar productos y utensilios de limpieza para poder utilizar el baño. Una verguenza. Solicitamos reembolso parcial de la estancia. Además, nos invitaron a irnos una hora antes de lo estipulado.

• Chantel (1/5): DISGUSTING & FOUL — DO NOT STAY HERE !!! - Nothing. This place is filthy! This property was absolutely disgusting! Mould in the shower, snot and what looks like shit and spit smeared on every single wall. Linen was covered in dust and hair/fur. We literally left the accommodation and found somewhere else to stay!

Was old and tired with fittings and decor needing replacement or upgrade. Especially the kitchen cupboards and bathroom fittings. It also needs a good deep clean. The kitchen did not have sufficient crockery, cutlery or cooking pans.
• Kev (1/5): Don't do it - Soon as we walked in we could see dirty disgusting walls. The bed was made with 2 thin pillows and 1 towel. We found another pillow in a cupboard that was badly stained and a large rip in it We looked at the bathroom and seen mold in corners and a filthy stained toilet. When we looked closer at the bed we realised the mattress was stained with maybe blood or something else. The apartment was a good 10 minute walk from main hotel and when we rang up to complain and ask for a room in main hotel we was told we would have to pay £20 extra. Apartment was cheap but I do expect it to be clean at the very least.

We booked another hotel. The apartment wasn’t clean. They were meant to meet us at the property to drop the keys off and never did so we had to walk al the way to the hotel to collect. They never answered the phone. They gave us 1 towel that was stained and ripped. The kitchen was filthy. The bed had stains all over it and hadn’t been cleaned. Broken mattress. Super noisy apartment. Mould in the bathroom.

• Paula (1/5): Save money, energy and time and don’t reserve this place - It was from far the worst place I have reserved. It wasn’t what I saw on the pictures. It, wasn’t a studio! We got a completely different place, not even with a table and chairs! It was dirty, smelly, sticky, the floor was damaged, the curtains were really dirty, the shower has mold, the bin was broken, but from far the worst was that we were behind a restaurant, so it was a factory or kitchen working on the other side of the back door of our room. They were making noise with the machines and we couldn’t sleep during the whole night. We got all the smells of their cooking. Even if towels were included, they was only one per person and the size was small. We didn’t get a mat or an extra towel for the exit of the shower. I didn’t like the room. It wasn’t a studio. It was so dirty: the walls were with stains marks and dirtiness, curtains full of marks and rest of human fluids, we found even blood on the wall of the toilet, broken stuff around, mold and marks of limestone on the shower and toilet. The floor was uneven and broke. The entrance of the building was on the same conditions. They do check in between 14:30 and 17:30, and the check out is at 10:00 that is not convenient at all. I honestly don't recommend this place to anyone. The studio S, on the first level is the worst we could have booked.

• Domas (2/5): Do not recommend. - Location. I had a terrible experience with this apartment in London. When I arrived (during the day), there was no one to let me in. The host did not answer calls or messages. I had to search for random cafés just to find Wi-Fi and try to reach him online. Eventually, I found an old message on Booking where the host mentioned that if I arrived late at night, the key would be left at a nearby hotel – 15 minutes' walk away. I had clearly informed the host of my arrival time both when booking and again the day before. Despite that, I was forced to walk to the hotel. The hotel told me they had nothing to do with the apartment – it's a completely separate business – but thankfully, they helped me get in touch with the host. The host then said he would send a “manager” to let me in. That person arrived and, when I asked what his role was, he said he’s actually the cleaner and maintenance guy. So much for being a manager. Once inside, the problems continued. The Wi-Fi didn’t work – only an extender in the room, but no actual router. The cleaner had to go back to the hotel to get a key to another apartment next door where the router was, which wasted another hour. The apartment itself was very disappointing: Dirty walls Small, poorly maintained room Windows facing directly into garbage bins Unclean overall It was 35°C outside, and dealing with all this made the stay even worse. The only positive was the location – it was relatively convenient. But everything else was a mess. I do not recommend staying here.

• Sunny (2/5): Not somewhere I’d recommend to anyone - The location was ok. Having a private bathroom was better than sharing It was dirty, unkept and the bathroom shower had mould in it as well as loads of hard water stains on the tapware. The walls had hand prints and finger marks everywhere. The dust and dirt grin build up was terrible. The pictures show only basic outlines and it’s not easy to find on the map as it’s around the corner of an alley. If you’re wanting cheap and just a place to put your head for an emergency one night stay, and willing to tolerate the filth then this could be an option for you. Definitely won’t recommend or stay there again
• Alyne (1/5): Instant regret - The location is very good, close to museums such as the Natural History Museum, the V&A and Kensington Palace. It starts off wrong: the phone number and address listed on Booking are not correct. When I tried to send a message to the owner of the accommodation (because he was no longer answering me via the Booking chat), nothing happened. On the day of check-in, a completely different number contacted me. The address of the place is also wrong, it's not in the street indicated, but in an alley that you have to find... Upon entering the accommodation, I was confronted with scenes from a horror movie, an extremely dirty place. Dirty walls, dirty equipment, dirty curtains, a filthy bathroom, windows that had never been cleaned before, a dirty fridge (remains of food). At that moment, I felt desperate and totally regretted having booked that place. But it only gets worse... there's no air conditioning, so DON'T EVEN THINK about booking this accommodation in the summer, it's unbearably hot. Opening the window helps, but it doesn't solve your problem because the street is very busy with a LOT of noise, including in the morning from the business below, a veterinary center.... The building must have extremely thin walls, because we could hear the noise of all the other people in it, people coming in and out, going up the stairs, talking in the very early hours of the morning... It was impossible to sit upright on the toilet, the bathroom was so small that you had to stand sideways. As icing on the cake, the shower didn't work, only the little hose... you couldn't even have a decent shower. In short, it was TERRIBLE! No matter how cheap it is, it's not worth it. The place is clearly not clean, the pillows were disgusting to touch, we had to buy our own pillowcases to even be able to sleep on them.

The location was good. -need a net curtain on all windows -broken shelf in fridge -bathroom needs a bathmat at as slippery thus dangerous -kitchen needs milk sachets for making tea or coffee. Can get from wholesaler eg Booker -a small table to put things on would be good. Can be placed in passage behind bathroom door

• Shaipa (2/5): Not great. - Location Property was very dirty. Spots all over the walls, curtains.When we arrived we noticed hairs and some spots of red marks on the sheet and had one good pillow and another was almost just a pillow case. Won’t lie, there was a spare on the cabinet which was ribbed. When we called them about the room hygiene issues and pillows, they changed the sheet but didn’t give us any pillows. Very poor standard.
• samantha (3/5): Only stay if you have to money wise - A good location to get where we wanted. The bed linen was clean. It was dirty with lots of staining on furniture, walls and floors. One chair was broken but left out as if it was fine and the bathroom felt dirty. We never used the kitchen as again it was dirty. The key to the actual apartment barely worked and took 2 of us at least 5 mins a time to get back in.

• TANIGUCHI (7/5): - I stayed here for one night by myself as part of a short trip to meet friends and see a ballet performance. The location was good – close to some restaurants and about a 7-minute walk from the station. The road from the station to the hotel is straight and easy to follow. The room was quite narrow but reasonably clean. Some marks on the wall, but I didn’t mind. The sheets and towels were clean, which is what matters most to me. The room had a toilet, shower, hairdryer, small refrigerator, clothes hook, toaster, and microwave. It was enough for a short stay. If you look closely, you might notice a few spots that aren’t spotless, but nothing that bothered me. The shower was clean, and the bed was comfortable. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, it’s more than enough – and very affordable, so I think it’s fair for the price. One thing I was disappointed with was the check-in process. Although I had informed the staff of my arrival time in advance, no one was there when I arrived. I had to call and wait in front of the door for about 20 minutes. It made me feel quite anxious, especially as I was alone. Eventually, the staff did arrive, but I think this is something that could be improved in the future.
