• Zaina (9/5): Perfect last minute surprise in every way. - Everything, such a beautiful apartment in the heart of Florence, close to everything and also just 5 min walk from the train station which is a plus but at the same time its in a nice neighborhood with excellent facilities under it. Pierpaolo is a wonderful host, you can tell his hospitality background from the way he welcomed me, was very attentive to details, the place is spotless and excellent in every way. Not to mention ALEXA! she created an ambiance with music :) I have been visiting Florence for the past decade and trying different accommodations, this is one of my absolute favorites. I would definitely come back. Nothing!

Pierpaolo is een hele fijne host, heel servicegericht. Vanaf de korte intro over de start tot het moment van vertrek. Voegt echt waarde toe aan het appartement. Als ik echt íets moet zeggen: persoonlijk houd ik er meer van als je dekbedovertrek over het dekbed hebt. Het gebruik van twee losse lakens is minder prettig. Maar dat is zoeken naar een verbeterpunt.

Pierpaolo is a real gentleman who can't do enough to help. He genuinely wants you to have a fantastic time and we absolutely did. We will definitely be back. There is nothing not to like.

Además su dueño, Pierpaolo, es muy amable y atento para que la estancia sea agradable. Es complicado el acceso al departamento ya que son dos pisos por escaleras.
• Fotis (10/5): Ideal stay, excellent price-quality balance - Spacious, well equipped, really close to the train station of Santa Maria Novella. The host has thought about everything. The bed is extremely comfortable and the bed sheets and pillows are of high quality. It was ideal-people with mobility issues though should note that there is no elevator.

• Paul (9/5): Great for a few days in Florence, well equipped, good location and excellent host. - The large apartment is great for a couple. The facilities are excellent and the host Pierpaolo was very good speaking in English and only too willing to help us. He communicates well via Whatsapp and very helpful if required. The apartment has a large bedroom and wardrobe, a large sitting, dining and kitchen area and a large shower in the bathroom. The location is excellent, 10 minute walk to Santa Maria Novella train station and 10 minutes to Ponte Vecchio etc. Also next to a bar or two, a supermarket, bakery and restaurants. Nothing negative about the whole experience in the aprtment.

• Rachel (10/5): Modern, comfortable apartment in perfect location. - We had a wonderful 3 night stay in Pierpaolo's apartment. Fantastic location within a 5 minute walk of the main train station made getting there on foot with heavy bags very easy. Pierpaolo was waiting for us outside and spent time recommending what to visit along with places to eat. We had an excellent meal out so thank you. The apartment itself is modern, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed. Large comfortable bed and good shower made for a restful break. Fantastic bakery downstairs for breakfast and a supermarket next door too. Pierpaolo went over and above to make us feel welcome and checked in during our stay. He was super quick to help when there was a tiny issue with the electricity. All in all it was perfect. Nothing..everything was great.

• Yuri (10/5): Perfect place, host and location - Host, Pierpaolo was tracking my arrival and was precisely on time to greet us at the door. He gave us a tour of the apartment, pulled out city map and gave us amazing pointers on eateries and locations off the beaten track. Place itself is bigger than it looks from the photos, sizeable living room, large bedroom, very spacious glass shower ;) Separate AC for bedroom was appreciated. We should have stayed longer. Place is perfect.

Right next door to a small bar, excellent bakery and supermarket. Owner Pierpaolo was friendly and went out of his way to ensure our stay was memorable. Met us on arrival and departure and helped with our bags up and down the narrow staircase, suggested restaurants and explained what the must sees were for our stay. He even helped us secure a booking for L'accademia and for a good restaurant for Florentine steak. He was only a whatsapp message away and he always responded promptly. Very modern, well furnished and well maintained flat in a very central location, above an excelllent bakery and cafe. Walking distance to all the main historic sites in Florence, a huge panoply of independent and designer branded shops and the truly amazing food market. Also a short walk to the railway station, so easy to get to and from on arrival and departure and on a daily basis. We very much appreciated the host greeting us on arrival and departure, helping us upstairs with the case, taking the time to point out the main sites, and messaging us to check all was ok. Nothing
• Jeff (10/5): Phenomenal, romantic holiday apartment getaway in florence - Pierpaolo personally came to greet us and introduce the apartment and area - one of the warmest welcome I’ve ever had at a stay! The bathroom was also incredibly modern, and the location fantastic. You name it- laundromat, supermarket, bakery, all within a 30 second walking distance! I was also shocked at how amazingly spacious and modern the entire apartment was. The Bose speakers were a really nice touch in particular. And Pierpaolo’s attentive, proactive checking in each day really made us feel at home and taken care of It was a little bit loud outside our bedroom window in the streets in the morning. However, it was because of a lot of honking that not even the great soundproof windows Pierpaolo installed could keep out. Just the sounds of Florence, I suppose! I think you would get that no matter where you stayed honestly I was a little worried that the kitchen faucet might have fallen off (it was attached by some kind of clay instead of fused on?) I’m sure pierpaolo will have someone look at it though; there were lots of electricians coming to work on it after our stay. I really appreciated the upkeep and cleaning!

The location was very central and we could walk everywhere very easily. It was also next door to a great bakery and a decent supermarket! And finally… our host, Pierpaolo was warm, friendly and extremely helpful from beginning to end. Honestly, only the climb up the stairs to get in!!

The apartment was perfectly located and in walking distance to everything. The accommodations were excellent and comfortable, with wonderful bathroom and kitchen, as well as a living room and dining area, and a lovely bedroom with ample closet and drawer space. The very best thing about our stay was our host, Pierpaolo. When we first arrived he met us at the apartment to show us everything so we could make great use of the apartments many features. Then he sat down with us to talk about Florence and places to go, restaurants and more. Pierpaolo made great notes on a map that he gave to us and we used and referred to that throughout our stay. Having Pierpaolo as our host made our stay very enjoyable. Florence was our favorite place during our trip to Italy, and staying at Dependance Machiavelli had a large part in that. None

It is modern and beautifully furnished and makes great use of space. Pierpaolo is an attentive and gracious host and we felt very welcome. The 4-5 flights of steep stairs were challenging with our luggage but Pierpaolo’s assistance made it easy and was very much appreciated.
• Travel2005 (10/5): Definitely 10/10 - Pierpaolo is an AMAZING host who offered as much help as he could, and checked us out regularly to ensure everything was good. The apartment itself was very nice, around 5 min walk from the main train station and 10-15 min walk to major attractions. The apartment setup was practical and generally well equipped. It's located on a quiet street and the neighborhood feels safe. Be mindful if you have large luggage that the apartment is located on the 2nd floor of the building and only accessible by stairs.. Nothing! Would love to stay for another night but got booked out. 🙂

We loved the coffee machine, light airy bedroom with comfortable bed, block out curtains and plenty of storage. Modern spacious bathroom with separate toilet/shower room so we could use the vanity while someone in the shower. It has an iron and board. For relaxation it had a smart tv so we could log in to streaming services and a Bluetooth speaker to listen to music. The location was perfect, a short flat walk to station and attractions, above an amazing bakery and safe. Lastly the host Pierpaolo gave the personal treatment, taking time to show us the apartment and recommendations. Would 💯stay here again. Absolutely nothing missing

From the moment we arrived, we felt well taken care of. The host showed great consideration, even in the really hot weather. The location was perfect, close to tourist attractions, with plenty of markets and restaurants nearby. We enjoyed morning jogs by the riverside, to the Vecchio Bridge, and up to Michelangelo Hill. Pierpaolo is an excellent host who welcomed us the first day we arrived and gave us many tips including sights to see and recommendations for local restaurants. The kitchen of the apartment is very well equipped, there is a supermarket and a beautiful bakery next door. We also loved the modern bathroom and the ambiance of the bedroom overlooking the street. Every morning we had our morning coffee at the cafe across the road and had a chat with the friendly owners. Pierpaolo, the apartment, bakery, the cafe and the location of the apartment made our stay perfect and memorable. Thanks Pierpaolo for looking after us. There's a fantastic bakery and a market underneath the house, making it convenient for cooking and dining. The train station is also within walking distance, allowing easy access to various places. We stayed at the apartment for 4 nights. He communicated with us entirely the whole time and was happy to arrange tours and give suggestions for local restaurants . We were able to get keys a little earlier than expected and we left our luggage at the apartment before he met us on the first day . The apartment had everything we needed , and plenty of towels supplied. If I had a question he responded immediately and nothing was an issue. There was a wonderful bakery next door and 2 cafes and a supermarket within 20 metres. But close to station so we didn't have to wheel our luggage so far. It was in a nice area of Florence. Happy to say nothing .

The host was fantastic - he had a knowledge of Florence. He spent time explaining the top sites to visit including the not so tourist sites. made great suggestions for a restaurant and the best gelato. He made our Florence experience the best. Having yo leave 😁
• Tan (10/5): Excellent choice if you are looking for an apartment. - Interior design is modern and nice. Amenities like shower cap, shampoo and shower gel are provided, towels are clean. Host is wonderful, he took time to explain the area and gave recommendations. Good location as a base to get around Florence. There's no elevator so you will have to your carry luggage up the stairs, but most apartment in Florence are like this anyway.

Pierpaolo the host is such a lovely guy and spent so much of his time explaining the workings of all the amenities within the apartment , even booking museums and restaurants for us. Unbelievable host!! He was in touch every day during our 4 day stay. Fantastic spot and service. Treat yourself to a wonderful stay in Florence .110 % recommended. Absolutely nothing!!

Exceptional host and service. - Excellent location- less than 10 minutes walk from train station & around 15 minutes walk to Uffizi, supermarket and bakery on the same street too. Laundry shop around the corner. Flat is on 2nd floor in a characterful building. Pierpaolo kindly helped us with our bags up the stairs. Flat is very well equipped with high quality fixtures and fittings, very clean and spacious. Decor is extremely stylish and modern. Kitchen has utensils/ pots and pans so we could cook some meals. Communication from host Pierpaolo is excellent, messaging us during our stay to make sure we were okay and that our stay was comfortable. Hard to fault the level of attention to detail and service provided. Nothing
• Bruce (10/5): My daughter and I had an excellent stay-great location, wonderful host, extremely clean, comfortable - No breakfast provided but excellent options just outside front door. Really good bakery. And a complimentary bottle of prosecco was much appreciated! A bit of noise from shops opening in the early morning but not a big issue.

Fantastic bakery 4 steps from the front door! Convenient store is 7 steps from the front door. Train station is less than 10 min walk for us.. Apartment is exactly what you see in the photos! Cleaned to a high standard. You will not be disappointed if you book to stay here. The bed is one of the most comfortable beds I had ever slept on. Nothing

• Isaac (10/5): The most perfect Florence experience - Dependance Machiavelli is more than just an accommodation, it is a true experience in Florence. Pierpaolo is an incredible person, super attentive, helpful. He made recommendations for wonderful restaurants and tours. He texted us daily to make sure everything was running smoothly. The apartment is beautiful, everything is new and super neat. The building's location is perfect. Close to great restaurants, tourist attractions and upscale areas of the city. I can't wait to go back. Would recommend to all friends and family.
