Guest Reviews
- JillC (8/5): - The grounds were absolutely stunning at the hotel! The rooms were very large with all the amenities you could need. We did have a couple of issues with bugs indoors but I’m sure that goes along with the thatched roof. The restaurant had an amazing variety of good food on the buffet. The thing that takes this place to the top is their service and the wonderful people they employ. We arrived at around 11:00 pm after a grueling drive. I’m sure everyone was tired and wanting to call it a night. You would never know it though! They got us supper and never rushed us at all. Can’t say enough about the staff!
- Dr E C (10/5): Our favourite place in Uganda... - We loved this hotel, the cottages are large and many are on stilts with spectacular views over the national park and Savannah. We spent out first afternoon here after a long drive sitting on our balcony watching elephants through binoculars! Amazing! The food is a buffet, but is delicious, we are vegan and they catered very well for us. The staff were also great, more genuine than other places we stayed, chatty, bubbly and would do anything for you. Location to the park is great, probably about a 30 min drive to the HQ where you buy your tickets.
Overall, our favourite place during our self drive tour of Uganda, we wish we have stayed here longer
- PK (8/5): roomy cottages overlooking the Rift Valley - Lovely staff, beautiful rooms.very good food, prepared individually by kitchen. They deserve much wider publicity. Clean, well appointed. One glitsch was having no electricity to heat the water the night we checked in, but that was rectified the next morning.
You can't beat the view and location, though once we left the main road, the travel was very difficult, huge potholes, no markings on the drive. You cannot drive in or out at night, as it is not lit.
- Christopher (4/5): - The lodge itself was lovely - really great location, lovely rooms & site. But the food was really poor. Given we paid US$180 per night, we were quite disappointed to get cold toast, cold pancakes and nescafe for breakfast. We had similar problems with dinner. They either need to drop prices or improve food and service.
- Just Me (10/5): Serenity in a Picturesque Setting - I travel often in the US, Europe, and Africa, and I was in awe of the beauty of the Parkview Safari Lodge. The setting is spectacular. The staff is responsive. The meals with friends were delicious. I appreciate the comfortable bed after many hours of touring and boating in Queen Elizabeth National Park. (The Kazing Channel boating trip is a must!)
I (and members of our group) thought of this as a once in a lifetime trip. Now, with the help of Parkview, we are planning to return in 6 months. Thank you, Parkview!
