Guest Reviews
- Lydia (9/5): A comfortable stay in a very pretty location. Cozy and comfortable . Ideal for families or close friends if both cottage - Beautiful area surrounded by vineyards
Easy access to freeway and points of interest
Loved the backyard for my dog although we were fortunate that the cottage house was not reserved as the backyard is shared.
Room was comfortable and appointed. The shared backyard
Needs to be cleaned under furniture
It was difficult to find how to pay extra for my dog as Booking.com doesn’t list a place to add a dog
- Angela (10/5): It was perfect for what I needed - It was beautiful the landscaping the studio room perfect for my time away I have no complaints
- david (10/5): -
- Darmina (10/5): What a relaxing weekend. Was a little sad to leave. - Loved the location. It was so comfy and quiet. Area by sink could've been more well lit but just nitpicking at this point.
- Phillip (10/5): Truly enjoyed our stay. - The location is perfect. Short drive to the Main Street, the area is quiet. N/A
- Leila (10/5): Relaxing with sister & friend! - Calm, nice grounds, close to facilities, full kitchen, bedding and towels were nice. Traffic noise and getting in and out of property. The shower was hard to get into. It’s a whirlpool tub that you have to get your legs up and over to get into the shower/tub.
- Glenna (8/5): For the most part, we enjoyed our stay at The Cottages. It was convenient for our purposes. - Bed was comfortable., BUT too high for us old people!
Near both Hwy 99 and state 12.
Nice sized room.
Very clean.
Lighting around bed was good. Not enough light in the bathroom.
No light at the gate. Very difficult to find the entrance at night.
When entering Studio V from around the back, the seccurity light didn't go on until the end of the wall.
Couldn't figure out how to use the television. Instructions would have been helpful
Coffee make worked one day and not the next.
- Roberta (10/5): - We were in the Studio V.
It was a wonderful experience. Everything we needed!!!
- DANA (10/5): - A comfortable stay.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melissa (10/5): Perfect for a couple- charming and cute - The cottage is perfect for two people. My husband and I enjoyed are stay. Very private and perfect for a quick get away to attend a wedding. The back yard was well kept and we saw rabbits and birds in the morning. Very charming. One tip for the ladies, the bathroom area is not lit very well. Not the greatest to get ready and apply make up. However, there is a cute desk in front of a window with a lamp that was perfect lighting to apply make up. Aside from that it was simple and charming. We will definitely be back if we come back to town again.
- Jasmin (7/5): Good - Cozy cottage which had everything we needed. Was not satisfied with the cleanliness this time. There were several spiderwebs which weren't cleaned off. The sink could be cleaner, too. I know that the location is a bit remote, but I still wish we didn't have to remove several earwigs and spiders everyday. Also again... Woken up by a leaf blower or lawn mower in the morning of our last day. I want to sleep in before staying up for over 24 hours on an intercontinental flight!
- Phillip (10/5): - Enjoy our stay at the cottage. The unit was clean & had everything needed. I really recommend this facility!
- Eric (9/5): Nice Retreat with Spacious Grounds. - We booked the Studio V unit. We visited the area to see family but wanted a place of our own to retire. It met those expectations. I loved the front and back yard. They have a fire pit which was great and the yard reminded me much of the house I grew up in and the yards we had there. Lighting in bathroom was dim but that's the case of most places that are rentals even with hotels. I bring my own lighted mirror so all good.
- Phillip (10/5): Exceptional - The overall experience. N/A
- Boddy (9/5): Superb - Cozy accommodations for a girl's trip. Well stocked full kitchen and large duning table, charcoal BBQ and comfy living room furniture. Beautiful front yard with porch swing and chairs. Spa bathtub for showering was precarious to get in and out of.
- Kinsch (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and quiet, plenty of space and parking
- Pamela (4/5): Disappointing. - Location was ok. Lighting very dim in bathroom. There’s not really a true kitchenette; you have to wash any dishes in the bath sink. No cooktop available. Wood floors are dirty; bottoms of feet dirty after walking in the cottage. Bed very high; hard to get in to; has to buy a step stool ( I am only 5’ tall).lighting outside is minimal and often does not work. Patio furniture is tattered and dirty. TV not easy to use. Only one occasional chair to sit in; very tiny table with tiny chairs not comfortable. Shower doors are dirty. Freezer in the tiny refrigerator was frozen over; could not use. Minimal unit at best.
- Andrew (4/5): Too many issues to ignore. The owner must be aware of these and needs to act. Wanted to like. - Good: Freeway close. Nice setting that must have been spectacular before freeway was built so close. Excellent bed. Plenty of towels and linens. Very clean. Not so good: simply too many things that need attention -
Listing photos: of the 12 preview photos showing a nice large room with fireplace and seating areas our Studio V was only a single room. The last 4 photos only show this space. Rather misleading.
Bathroom: Much too dark. Sink faucet sprays everywhere. Shower head gross. Shower drain recessed and easy to trip on. Difficult to control water flow without getting scalded. Dead brown spider in "sealed" drinking cup wrapper.
Room: A/C unit noisy and inefficient and very 1970's cheap hotel style. Overhead fan nice but remote control battery dead so either on or off. Couldn't control speed nor turn off light.
Outside: Of the three motion detectors the back one along the path did not work. Using the flashlight on our phone we saw a web and a large black widow spider suspended close to the ground; we were lucky to avoid it every time that we passed.
First night: Thumping music until midnight from guest room next door.
Freeway: noisy at all hours.
- Kaye (10/5): - This property was perfect for my husband and me. It was private, quiet, & a close drive to my husbands class reunion. It was easy to reach the owner. The property is surrounded by grape vineyards. We were in studio 5. There is a homey, spacious & enclosed backyard. I will return.
- Jasmin (8/5): Cozy cottage - Comfortable and cozy room. Lighting on the bathroom could be improved because the mirror does not provide enough light. Lawn mowing should be planned later in the day so that guests can sleep in.
- Frederick (5/5): We would not return, or recommend to anyone. - There was very little we liked about this house, or the location. The house is in a very undesirable location adjacent to a busy highway. There is no outside area to sit and relax. There are chairs on the front porch, where you really would not want to sit, as you hear highway noise and see cars going by. The furnishings in the house are very dated. It’s very clean, but the furniture looks like it came out of the. 50s. The yard around the house is all dirt. There is no lawn, and no greenery. The only positive is that the master bath has been redone, and it is spacious, with ample counter space.
- Carlos (8/5): - Very roomy, clean, quiet and cozy. If it wasn’t for the squeaky door hinges and faucet missing an aerator I would have given a Five Star Rating. However I’d definitely go back but next time I’ll bring some baby back ribs so I can use the Bbq and enjoy the beautiful patio.
- Freda (10/5): - This studio is behind a garage to a larger house so it's private and quiet. We really enjoyed the patio, having our breakfast outside. This was our second time using the studio and will use it again.
- Michelle (9/5): We felt very relaxed. - The only thing was the noise from the freeway.
- shayna (10/5): Family stay - This was a great property! Close to a lot of wineries and easy access to the freeway.
- Kirk (10/5): We will definitely return! - Beautiful private large garden setting. Huge backyard with a secure fence for keeping our small dog confined. Beautiful lawn and patio with pergola. The cleanliness of the studio. Secluded but close to Hwy 99. Very minimal hwy. noise. The bed, although very comfortable, was very high to get in & out of. Lighting in the vanity area was minimal. Shower had low water pressure, perhaps a new shower head would fix that. These were very minor issues to us.
- Judy (10/5): - Beautiful ground
- Deborah (9/5): Girls weeken - So quiet and beautiful The freeway noise
- Michael (8/5): - Nice little room behind the house. The yard was nice. It would have been nicer if the the pateo furniture had been cleaned off so that we could have sat out there. My wife would have liked a little more light in the bath sink area.
- Lesley (8/5): Absolutely Charming - Lovely comfortable beautiful setting
Felt very much like home. Hated to leave but time was up.. Owner was polite and attentive It was a true pleasure to stay Could connect to wi fi for work. Hi security needed and key code did not work.
- Amanda (9/5): Superb -
- Cathy (10/5): Second time here. Host is friendly and helpful. No doubt we’ll use again. - Secure, comfortable and dog friendly. Two bathrooms would be nice, but this one has double sinks and is a good size.
- Sabrina (8/5): Wine dog stop over - Hotels didn't send us access info but called owner and got it. We arrived at night when it was dark so were unsure if we were at the right home. Overall a great and reasonably priced room with great access to wineries and easy drive to downtown Lodi. Bed was comfortable and backyard was great and secure for our two small pups. We would stay again.
- Robinson (8/5): Very nice place - Very well decorated, enough yard for the dog. Walls are not insulated so very cold inside, fake fireplace did help though.
- Philip (7/5): Good -
- Cathy (10/5): Excellent accommodations for our stay. Already booked our next stay. - Secluded location. Had everything we needed. Host was very helpful and easy to contact. House was very comfortable.
- Pam (10/5): - This was the second visit to COA. The room was great.
- Figueroa (10/5): Exceptional - Cute and cozy cottage! Loved that I could bring my dog and she loved the cottage and back yard as well.
- Becky (8/5): quiet yet close access to freeway - Overall this is a great place. only issues were no hot water in any of the sinks. Just the bath/shower. ?? could be cleaned a bit better. dusty with cobwebs but none of the furniture was dusty.. just lighting and drapes
- Jennifer (10/5): - Had a great stay at this charming little cottage. Perfect for 1 person or a couple. Located right outside of town. Feels like your in the country surrounded by grape vineyards, yet just a few minutes away from restaurants, shopping etc.
- Gary (9/5): Excellent accommodations. Fantastic amenities. Nice for a weekend getaway. - Wonderful property. The studio cottage was impeccably clean and comfortable. It was better than staying in a regular hotel. We will definitely come back. N/A
- Joseph (10/5): Overall it was a great stay and I will definitely book again the next time I travel this area. - It was nice and secluded, private, and the amenities were beyond amazing. It would be nice to have blinds or curtains on the frosted windows in the main room and bathroom. Even though no one was there and the windows were frosted, it did feel awkward knowing anyone renting the other area could see all movement and shapes in my room and especially bathroom at night. Also the interior door knob has some reddish staining that had me a little uneasy the first night. Mainly because the area was so secluded, the windows I mentioned, and the fact that I was there all alone and had not had a single interaction with anyone the entire time I was there. I chalk that up to too many movies...
- Diane (9/5): Gary was wonderful to deal with… he made our stay there very easy and comfortable. We would love to stay there again whe - It’s an older property, but very quaint. We loved it. Everything was very comfortable and clean and we love being able to sit outside. The bathtub was a bit difficult for me to get in and out of. There was not a separate shower. It’s very deep and I have some small disabilities.
- Richard (10/5): A step back in time. I will rent the whole property next time! - loved it all, will book again! TV hard to operate.
- Cathy (10/5): - Beautiful location with quiet backyard - the arbor with a tree canopy was shady and there were so many birds. Studio was well appointed - no stove or toaster, but small fridge and microwave. Recommend and would stay again.
- Robin (6/5): You call this a cottage? - Calling this place a cottage is generous. It is more like an out-building with no charm. It is nothing like the photo. The floor was so dirty our feet left black footprints in the shower. The comforter on the bed had a huge rip. While it was comfortable enough, it was nothing special.
- Armando (10/5): - Great place to stay! Comfortable and quiet! Will use it again in the future.
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susanne (6/5): Easy freeway access. - This would be great for a family with all its country charm. Friday evening~ the gal who guided me to the house was very kind. Moisture issue, mold smell. The sheets on the bed are microfiber polyester and very hot to sleep. Freeway noise is loud. It was a challenge to find at night with gps.
- Pamela (8/5): - Liked: House was great, home was welcoming, nice beds, good living room to hang out in and large table to eat at or play games. Close to down town and Costco, other business. Large front yard, gate for security if you are willing to get in and out to close each time and it was raining.
Disliked: Tub/Shower was very hard to get in and out of, even though they put in handicap rail, I had to crawl out of tub/shower.
Noisy: Property is located right next to Hwy 99 and very noisy, had to wear ear plug to get to sleep, front bedroom. Back bedrooms said they did not hear the road traffic. Sitting in living room you heard lots of road traffic, but located right next to very busy highway.
- Janice (10/5): Exceptional - Loved this beautifully renovated and furnished craftsman cottage. Very comfortable and cozy! Well-supplied with plush towels and loads of pillows. Nice yards that would be even nicer if we weren’t in drought conditions. Came here for the Christmas holiday and it exceeded all expectations! Nothing
- James (8/5): - A great place for a scenic, peaceful, quiet stay! A little more outside lighting and for me, I hope the weather will be warmer.
- Cheyenne (10/5): Perfect stay - Excellent stay. We were in town for a wedding and this place was perfect.
- Doris (10/5): Very enjoyable stay! - The grounds were beautiful. It was secluded.
Very spacious and clean. Comfortable beds. Location - freeway noise and no grocery stores nearby.
Difficulty opening doors due to high carpet.
- Donna (10/5): Definitely will return! - N/a A proper shower curtain, it was cotton without a liner, was wet our entire stay.
- pam (8/5): - The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. It was initially, difficult to find, but after speaking with the owner, i located it.
- Emily (10/5): we are from Lodi, we moved to Reno a year ago. we are coming back to Lodi as my daughter is having my first grandchild. - The space both in and out was perfect for our stay. maybe a heads up about finding the location . I’m kinda a clean freak. I think a stick vacuum would be nice.
- Grecia (10/5): best time with friends - Super convenient location and gorgeous area n/a
- Nikki wells (10/5): - It is a beautiful quiet peaceful place. Just what I needed. My only complaint, is that there should be a curtain on the window by the porch of the next unit. Very clean. I would have liked a sign on the gate. A little difficult to find.
- Rosemary (10/5): Nice and quiet even though right off the freeway, so homey, clean, had coffee for us, we felt very safe - Very private, very clean, had everything we needed only 1 bathroom
maybe turn the smallest of bedrooms into 1/2 bath
- Robert (8/5): - The only thing needed to make this place totally awesome is a little more water pressure in the shower, still useable.
- Raymond P (10/5): Little place in the country ❤️ - If you like a quiet place to stay this is your place, very relaxing getaway from the city, very homey and clean. Close to wine tasting and grape vineyards.
