• Benjamin (7/5): Nice place but a decent walk to any of the breaks. This camp seems to cater primarily to beginners. - Breakfast juice. Same breakfast everyday. Coffee not available early in the am. Guide also does not leave surf camp before 9am so we were burned on winds one day. Giancarlo should advise guests that there is a charge for every trip with guide as I thought it was included.

• Luis (10/5): Amazing place to stay, just in front of the beach. - Both Giancarlo and Francisca were very kind and helpful, I really enjoyed staying at Waves Surf Camp. It's also great as I was able to talk to other travelers and the place is really close to Punta Hermosa's beaches. I'd say I didn't stay long enough to dislike something, so for me everything was good.

The surf classes were great, and Giancarlo even took pictures and videos of us that we could watch back. The room was nice and clean and the food that Francisca made was amazing. Definitely recommend this place to people who want to do a lot of surfing!

• Gianfranco (9/5): Good location - There were a lot of beaches in walking distance (señoritas, caballeros, playa norte) and you can try different waves in them + the baby waves by playa negra/blanca, and decent waves by la isla to get you back in the grove of things. There's also a fair bit of beachfront restaurants by el Malecon and cafes/other eateries in calle islas ballestas. There is a refund balance still pending with them. Just a bit over a buck but still there.

• Niels (9/5): Super aangenaam! - Hele fijne relaxte plek om vanuit hier lekker te gaan surfen. Jean Carlos regelde alles heel fijn voor zijn gasten, zodat het voor iedereen heel aangenaam was en je zelf nergens over hoefde na te denken. Ook bracht hij me nog op de dag van vertrek met al mn spullen naar het busstation, zeer attent!
• GUILHERME (8/5): Boa. Ficaria em outro lugar na próxima. - Boa localização, quarto excelente. Há vista para o mar, porém não dá pra ver o surf. É perto da maioria dos restaurantes. O café é pão, ovo e suco. Se quiser algo mais, tem que comprar. Há pouco suporte para os hóspedes. Achamos que o camp fosse oferecer algum guia local para nos levar para o surf, já que estávamos sem carro. Acabou que o dono de outro surf camp que conhecemos na água que prestou o serviço.

• T (9/5): Comfortable, clean, convenient place to stay in a fun little surf town - Good breakfast, great location. You can see and hear the ocean from the 3rd floor deck. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. The place is kept very clean. Really great to meet some of the other guests in the common areas. Host is knowledgeable and friendly and helpful.
• Alrizonio (10/5): Amazing room - There's only a room that I took. Very confortable bed, tv with netflix and private bathroom with warm shower. Completely in silence and darkness at night. So near from beach. I loved it. I knocked my head at the front door.. Kkkkk

Breakfast was a treat to start the day, with lovely coffee, juice, eggs! Access to the beach is very close, and I could see some of the ocean from my window/balcony. If you need anything, it seems the owner is more than happy to help you with it!

• Sam (7/5): Good - Location was good. The lady housekeeper who cooks breakfast for you and does the cleaning was super friendly as was the surf guide dude. Good times The little dude that owns the place was un friendly and makes you feel unwelcome . He let me use his bike though that was cool. Bad vibes from him but otherwise nice comfortable place. There was a few others staying there that actually left early because of his attitude. Everything else was gravy

We joined the surfing lessons in the morning and another surf session in the afternoon - organised this when we arrived, very easy and accommodating. Giancarlo also gave us a lift to Lima when we left. Certainly recommend!

• Or (8/5): Very good - Nice location, nice room, the tv with Netflix and Amazon prime was great Nothing much, all was pretty good One thing is that I took a surfing lesson and after 5 minutes in the water I almost drawn so I got out of the water and then then asked me to pay full price for the lesson, after some talks they told me to pay just for the equipment and shuttle

• Vinicus (10/5): Exceptional - I really loved my time in Punta Hermosa, the camp made me feel at home, everyone was so nice and welcoming, i made alot of friends and Giancarlo was so nice taking us to the beaches and showing us arround. Especial props up for Franzisca that was a great cook and a great friends! Giancarlo, Renato and his family made me feel right at home!!

• Roberta (1/5): Talking of our experience, local people felt ashamed telling us that we had met a "gringo" - Breakfast very basic, with poor quality products....The lady working there was instead very friendly and patient. It was not possible to use cabinets and/or drawers due to the excessive humidity which prevented even breathing. Having asked the owner to call us a taxi from the airport, he himself carried out the transport service by charging us 60 US dollars for each trip (from the airport to his place and then back to the airport) ....... we later learned that this sum is precisely double that of a normal taxi service and three times the cost of the uber service !!!!!
