What a fun weekend!

I think the breakfast buffet was a little lacking in variety but what was present was good. For example, there were creamy grits on the buffet our first morning, but they were not hot so thank goodness for the microwave Now, the fresh baked muffins and that sweet potato casserole would draw me back every year.

- Nicole (7/5): - The location was amazing. I liked the quaintness of the place with the Victorian style furniture and the history of the place. It was cool to wander through the rooms and look at the gift shop items. I enjoyed being able to take a cup of coffee around the outside and look at the view. I didn't interact a lot with the staff but they were nice. The facility was definitely more run down then I had anticipated which was disappointing. There was a hair clump in the closet of our rooms and other places where things were not well cleaned and maintained.

- allacademiesball (10/5): We love Echo Mountain Inn - We love Echo Mountain Inn! This was our second time staying at the Inn at Christmas time. The Inn is beautifully decorated and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Great location which offers beautiful views of the mountains, especially at sunrise. Echo Mountain Inn is very peaceful and is a perfect get away spot if you’re wanting to enjoy nature and downtown Hendersonville.
- edjaneg2015 (10/5): Beautiful historic inn and property - If you like historic properties, you will love Echo Mountain Inn. We were fortunate to spend a long weekend in mid-December and the innkeepers went all out decorating with multiple Christmas trees, wreaths, garland, Christmas villages, lights, etc. to make it cozy and festive. The mountain views are gorgeous. Breakfast was wonderful each day. Hendersonville is only a couple miles away with lots of great choices for dinner and fun places to shop. There are several easy hikes nearby if you want to get out in the fresh air but don’t want a super challenging hike. One unique feature that we haven’t experienced at other places we’ve stayed is all the different common rooms and smaller spaces located throughout the inn to sit and read or gather with friends. There are plenty of board games, puzzles and other activities available if that's your thing. The innkeepers are a gem and their staff is helpful and friendly. We will stay here again.

We spilled coffee all over our breakfast because the table was like 4 inches off balance. The heat wouldn't turn off in our room. The AC wouldn't turn on. We had the staff make a fire for us. However, it wouldn't vent. So, our room was absolutely filled with smoke all night. We had to sleep with the door to the outside open. I had a migraine all the next day. Not a good anniversary trip. The place could be very nice, if someone just came in and repaired everything. The vintage look is one thing. Old and dilapidated is another.

I stayed in Room 403 and the bed was the most comfortable I have slept on in a long time. The Echo has a library area and I took advantage of that with a couple hours of reading. Coffee and Hot Tea whenever I desired it. All in all, a great place.

Close to Dupont State Park, Ceasar 's Head State Park,, Chimney Rock, and of course the town of Hendersonville. There were a lot of people there for a wedding, we met a few of the people. They all made our stay more enjoyable. Nothing we didn't like !

Staff was friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. Really enjoyed all the helpful literature in the room. Not anything I really didn't like but several things that could help make the Inn fulfill the price point expectations... maybe some folding luggage holders, an easy way to get some ice for travel mugs.. other than asking the kitchen staff in the morning, shower grab bars, simple instruction on what size setting on kcup fit the nice cups... real cream in a serving container at breakfast... postcards and / or stickers of the inn... I even suggested selling the wooded room key holders as gifts....
- gshiple (10/5): Best hotel in Hendersonville - Our room was great but there was construction work going on outside and we wanted to rest after a long hike, so we asked the ladies at the front desk if we could move to a different room away from the noise. They not only accommodated our request without a fuss, but they put us in what might be their nicest room with the best views of the mountains (the Royal Room if I recall correctly, with beautiful views from the top of Laurel mountain a short drive from town)! And the room was located upstairs as far from the construction noise as you could get (didnt hear a sound all day or night). The best part: no extra charge for the big upgrade! Lastly, as many other reviews mentioned, the included buffet breakfast was very good. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Hendersonville!
- keris345 (10/5): Wonderful family reunion at Echo Mountain Inn! - I worked with the inn to plan a family reunion. We had over 30 family members come from all over the US, each staying 3-5 nights. We have held this reunion every 4-5 years (for 50 years) at locations all over the country, but family members raved about Echo Mountain Inn. The rooms are lovely! My room was in the main inn, which has very pretty and comfortable rooms. We especially enjoyed being able to gather in the sunroom, dining room, etc. It worked great for our group. The breakfasts were an added bonus - and nice to have something with cooked food and not just a Continental breakfast. Every staff member we dealt with (front desk, kitchen, coordinating reunion) were helpful, kind and welcoming.

The service stood out most of all. It is clear this is family owned and lovingly run. Every employee/owner made us feel very welcome and almost like family. The breakfast was AMAZING and even kept us at the Inn longer in the mornings than we normally would stay just so we didn't miss it! Rooms were clean and well maintained. We absolutely will stay here again- absolutely fantastic place.

You have your choice of plush, higher end rooms or modest, more affordable rooms so all can enjoy the same ameneties that this beautiful, family-owned/operated facility offers. Staff allowed family to join us for an eve celebration in the dining room (brought our own dinners) and also allowed us to relax in the common areas after checkout while awaiting our transportation. If you are looking for a well-kept place to stay that offers fantastic friendly service, a beautiful view of the North Carolina mountains, excellent accomidations and offers a relaxing, homey environment look no futher. The rooms are super-clean, well-appointed and comfortable. Hot breakfast is included each day. Coffee and tea are available throughout the day...for those of you who desire the bourgeois coffee they even have a "coffee bar" but you do pay for it.

My room however smelled soooo bad like the strongest cabbage odor I had ever experienced. The windows were sealed shut and the AC didn’t help at all. I had to leave as soon as I woke up at 6 am. The smell was so stuffy it was claustrophobic. I don’t know if it was because my room was above the kitchen but, while I’m usually easy to please and will ignore minor inconveniences, this was Next Level strong odor. Very uncomfortable. The bed was pretty comfy though.

You won’t find another like it as it’s got lots of stories with it. Fantastic hosts were very accommodating and helpful. They gave me insightful recommendations for restaurants in the area and were overall friendly and welcoming. Love the coffee and had some great Americanos, too! I plan to come again hopefully next time with the entire family!!
