Guest Reviews
- morgan (6/5): - Room was basic and furniture was dated, but it was comfortable enough for the night. Had a great view.
Dinner at the restaurant was pretty good but it closed at eight.
Breakfast was some cereal packets already in the room, with a bottle of juice in the fridge. Looked on the map like you would have to drive a bit into town to get breakfast.
Laundry room had no lights and only one washer and dryer. It did not look like the dryer worked, and staff didn’t seem to know anything about it.
- Hendrik (8/5): - Brand new bathroom excellent.
- Anne (10/5): - So quiet and peaceful, waking to dawn across the water, and clouds of birds doing aerial ballet.
The room was neat, clean, simple and uncluttered but with everything necessary. Very restorative.
- Ken (8/5): - Clean room near to a small fishing port. Wonderful seafood options in the area. Short drive to attractions
- Gay (8/5): - Lovely views from room. Staff helpful. Parking could be an issue as more rooms than parking outside of rooms. As other parking area below rooms is quite steep to walk up and no steps only sealed walkway, people with mobility issues are challenged. Continental breakfast included for 2 but cutlery provided for 1. Hotel closed in am when we found this.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Clean comfortable room and close to seahorse and platypus house to visit which were excellent
- David (10/5): - Nice location and close to what we wanted to see.
- Helen (10/5): - Friendly and welcoming staff, walking distance to hotel
- David (10/5): - Hand rail from motel car park to rooms is needed for safety, thank you , it was a lovely stay and breakfast in the room was a great and welcome gesture , 😊
- Vicki (8/5): - Great location in a beautiful town.
- Denis (8/5): Beauty Point - All conditions good.

Bed uncomfortable.
Breakfast was bread and packet of cereal.
The lounge was disgusting, vinyl and peeling.
On the up side great view and pub menu was good.

- Kathy (10/5): - Very basic, and clean. Car park sloping with limited turning capacity. Great food and friendly staff at the hotel. Placed in a convenient spot for my trip, close to places of interest, short drive to food store and bottle shop on the door step. Beauty Point has a lot to offer.
- John (10/5): - Great place to stay would stay again
- Jacqui (10/5): - Pleasant courteous staff, clean room with a nice breakfast
- Maria (4/5): - very basic and charged for food like a wounded bull, since there is not much else around to eat
- M7823MIannl (2/5): Travellers nightmare - Be warned to do not stay at this location. The hotels website does not indicate the state of the room.
I wouldn't let my cat sit on such an atrocitie of a lounge.
It is such a pity as the restaurant itself has a great view.
The room was so bad we didn't stay and chose to drive to Launceston.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Service out weighs the average room. - I can't lie, the room is very average, however, the staff made up for the shortfall. I have been told that the rooms are getting a makeover during the slow season, and i honestly hope this is true because i would love to return one day.
- Peter (10/5): - Good views. Pleasant friendly atmosphere.
- Patrick (10/5): - Great view, great facilities, clean, quiet, very good WIFi easy parking
- Stephen (8/5): - A power point on each side of beds would be ideal.

- Sharon (10/5): - Lovely
- Kim (8/5): - Spacious room, renovated bathroom, lovely water views. Clean linen, room standard good but not as clean as would expect. Staff friendly and accommodating. Good meals in attached hotel.
- Adel (8/5): - Beautiful view..needed a dish cloth in room..windows were abit noisy i..otherwise very nice
- Astrid (8/5): - The Continental breakfast was only cereals, Juice, Milk, coffee. No Toast or Muffins, no yogurt, no fruits
- Grant (10/5): - Breakfast was included which was nice, unfortunately tthere was no milk provided which the staff were apologetic about and milk was supplied but in the morning i found there were also no cereal bowls. Minor details though and I would stay there again. 👍
- Lorraine (6/5): - Staff were kind and helpful
Meals excellent and dining room view looked out over the river.
The rooms were clean but tired
Bathroom was updated
Grounds and garden need to be cleaned up around rooms.
Overall enjoyed stay
- Linet (10/5): Great views and clean accommodation - Really peaceful and comfortable one night stay after a very tasty meal at the bistro. Hosts were really friendly and provided us with a welcome drink and bread (including gluten free) and juice to add to the breakfast box in the room.
Thought initially that road noise would be an issue due to a car racing up and down the road around 9pm but we both managed to sleep for 10 hours solid (catch-up from previous night with early morning flight)!
Bathroom seemed to have been recently refitted and shower was great.
Would stay again if in the area
- Eric (8/5): - Great room , plenty of space . Nice view of the water , the bed was amazing. Self contained with tea and coffee, food for breakfast . Recommend if you're up that way
- M (8/5): - An older style hotel motel. Clean and comfortable enough for a night or two. Meals at the hotel were good too.
- Bryce (8/5): - Room was a little musty at first. A bigger tv maybe other wise great
- Jo (8/5): - Beautiful view from the room overlooking the river. Room was clean, new bathroom, breakfast provided in the room for your convenience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overnight stay in Beauty point - My room had beautiful view of the Beauty point Marina outside the window. The room is comfortable and had 2 bedrooms, with tea/coffee available and bread slices in the fridge with milk for breakfast. Julie was very helpful with checking in and provided info for what to do around the area.
- sandra (8/5): - Lovely view
- Chris (6/5): Nice new bathroom. - New bathroom was nice. The views were great.

- Sarah (10/5): - Very comfortable, clean and spacious. Lovely view onto the harbour, beautiful galahs outside our window in the mornings. Excellent food and friendly staff.
- Ken (10/5): - Having stayed before we were more than happy to stay again knowing the property to be comfortable to stay in. With continental breakfast, tea and coffee, milk, juices and condiments supplied made for an enjoyable stay. The facilities were tidy and adequate for our needs and we were pleasantly suprised to see upgrades done to the rooms since our last stay. The adjoining Hotels dinning restaurant and bar facilities provided complimentary drinks with a good and affordable menu with friendly staff making for a pleasant evenings dinning. We will be returning customers to Beauty Point Waterfront Hotel whenever visiting the area.
Ken and Diane
- Lesley (10/5): - Everyone was friendly and helpful
- Jude (10/5): - The hotel room was nice with good views overlooking the river. Well stocked for continental breakfast. Guests coming in late or leaving early can be a bit disturbing. Extra bedsheet will be a good idea as Duvet was quite warm for the current weather.
- Andrew (10/5): - Beauty Point Waterfront Hotel was a relaxing and enjoyable overnight stay. Although the building was a bit older, the room was updated, very clean and well equipped, and the staff were great. The rooms are separated from the main part of the hotel by a car park, so they were quiet but close by for meals or drinks. The included breakfast was basic (toast, cereal and juice) but very welcome. The view over the Tamar river was great, especially the sunrise over the water. We really enjoyed our stay!
- brendan patrick (8/5): - We really enjoyed our stay and it was ok for us but this is a good value budget option with an interesting river view. Ideal for a night or two.
- Dennis (10/5): - Clean room friendly staff great meal
- Collette (10/5): - Friendly staff. Older style accommodation. Good lication for attractions in the area
- Marie (6/5): - Warmly welcomed. Unfortunately the rooms are in need of an upgrade, but location served it's purpose.
- Leonie (10/5): - All was excellent.Comfortable bed .Quite.Will be back!
- Eris (10/5): - Breakfast provided
- Ken (10/5): - Having stayed there previously we were happy to stay again. Clean, comfortable and affordable with continental breakfast and free drink on arrival a bonus. Very happy to use again when needed.
- Dale (10/5): - Amazing views across the Tamar River, great food, great service.
- John (4/5): - What's good
Helpful staff. Easy access. Good view. Good restaurant and food run by the hotel.
What's poor.
No shampoo/bodywash/conditioner dispensers in the shower. No heaters in the room. The plastic chairs were flimsy and not safe to sit on.
- Ron (10/5): - Great staff
- ROBYN (10/5): - The water view from the room and the restrauant is wonderful during the day and at night.
- Katie (10/5): - Just had an overnight stay here after a late flight in. Reception staff organised a late check in and our room key was ready when we arrived late at night.
Room was basic but clean and comfortable. Very nice location right on the water
- Vikki (8/5): - A good room with a lovely view but no microwave and restaurant wasn’t open so had to have a late lunch in local cafe
- Tim (8/5): - Great position for our needs.
- Elyssa (4/5): - The furniture was in disrepair, the shower had cracks, a missing handle and was leaking.
Unfortunately due to dietaries the inclusive breakfast was not an option for me.
However, the staff were friendly and the team left a lovely note in the room. - it just didn’t match my expectations from the photos and reviews
- Gail (4/5): - Old and tired motel. Very basic.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well appointed.
Bread, juice, condiments, tea and coffee, milk, bread spreads and cereals were supplied and generously so.
- Troy (10/5): - Great views of the Tamar River
- Michele (10/5): - Love the friendly staff. The views are amazing. Room was clean and comfortable.
- Louise (8/5): - Beautiful view from room. Room clean and comfortable. Drove past initially as it does look like accommodation from the road. Worth the stay, food was great also
- Jacki (8/5): - The evening meal was very good
- Karen (8/5): - A good spot for exploring the Tamar region. Room was comfortable and staff nice. We appreciated the hearty portions and quick service at the bistro, also the vegan options (standard pub food). It was a bit noisy until the pub etc closed but that is understandable.
- Joan (10/5): Beauty Point stay - Friendly and helpful staff. Great views from the room. Excellent value for a budget room. Close to Seahorse and Platypus worlds. A walk to Great food.
- David (10/5): - All good
- Julie (6/5): - Situated in a lovely spot
- Sue (10/5): - This was a nice unit with a wonderful view. We enjoyed dining at the restaurant.
- Dorothy (8/5): - It was a comfortable bed friendly staff old rooms in much need of an upgrade
- Mark (4/5): Drab and smelly - We had reasonable expectations despite the moderate price going by many quite positive reviews. When we arrived we saw the what looked to be abandoned motel on the road behind the hotel. There was a long closed drive-in bottle shop in front, large weeds growing in the edge of the empty car park. We went down to the hotel below and confirmed that this indeed was what we booked. Our room opened in a dark and gloomy passageway with no outside lights working. There was a sort of garden area full of weeds apart from several large man ferns. On entering our room we were met with an awful stale smell probably from the carpet that needed at least a steam clean. The room had been cleaned reasonably well but everything was in need of refurbishment. There was wifi but we couldn't find the password anywhere. The bathroom was ok but very old. The worst part was suffering the awfully smell in the room, even with a window left open. A very disappointing stay on our Tassie holidays. We did eat in the hotel as we arrived about 6.40 and probably our only option. To be fair the meals were fine, typical pub fare.
- Ida (10/5): - Water pressure was great and plenty of hot water.
Bed comfortable. Breakfast was simple, cereal, toast, apple juice, tea or coffee and plenty of milk. There was 4 packets of twin biscuit to go with coffee or tea when we arrived.
Location suited the occasion we attended.
- Paul (8/5): - Good place to stay, with nice views. Bar and dining on site. Meal was good, staff helpful. Close to Platypus and Seahorse World, but great attractions. Bed comfortable and bathroom good spec.
- Barry (8/5): - the staff were good were able to cater for my diabetic diet.
- Norm (8/5): - Bloody hilly & stairs from motel to hotel - a little bit untidy with small deposits of rubbish here and there - unhinged door in room - friendly obliging staff - good size room and bathroom - we enjoyed the stay & meal in hotel - thank you
- Sandra (8/5): - Quite nice room, lovely view
- Vanessa (10/5): - A great place to stay with nice views and good restaurant!
