• K Spencer Inskeep (10/5): Excellent stay - Riad Hugo is a quaint gem in Marrakech. Our room was large, as pictured and the bed comfortable. The AC and WiFi were great. The location in the kasbah is outside the fray of the Medina with its own markets, restaurants and souk but also accessible to the main medina. There was some street noise from people & scooters in the lane but thats part of being in a city. I slept easily with good earplugs. The real gem of Riad Hugo is the manager, Tariq, who is friendly and personable and will make your stay a delight. He even makes his own jam served at breakfast. 10 stars for Tariq! Thank you for a lovely stay. I’ll be back!

Los desayunos geniales y la cena muy rica. Pero lo mejor Tarik, super amable, se esforzaba en hablar español y además siempre con una sonrisa, nos ayudo mucho en todo. Hay algo de ruido durante el dia por las obras que hay en la medina, pero se duerme bien.

Die Lage war eigentlich gut, leider die Straße vor dem haus etwas laut, dies kann jedoch auch nur temporär sein, da Jugendliche vor dem Fenster spielten. Innerhalb der Unterkunft war alles ehr gut.

Tariq was very welcoming and went out of his way to help us make the most of our stay. Breakfasts were good and we enjoyed relaxing on the terrace. Overall, it was an excellent experience. Although it’s in a quiet area away from a main road, there’s quite a lot of street noise in the evening (shouting and mopeds). Wouldn’t matter for people who go out at night, but I was with a child whom I wanted to get to sleep. The plunge pool is very pretty but it’s also tiny and freezing! Works for a very quick refreshing dip.

The riad is beautiful, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable, making it a truly relaxing place to stay. We felt welcomed and at ease throughout our entire visit. Tariq, who manages the Riad, deserves special mention. He is incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. He took the time to explain everything to us and was always available, genuinely caring and ready to help with any request or question. His hospitality made a real difference in our stay. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, fresh, and well prepared, a great way to start the day. Overall, this riad exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, comfortable, and memorable experience. The only reason I didn’t give a perfect 10 is that there was no water on the first night we arrived, possibly due to the late hour. Aside from this small issue, everything else was excellent and our stay was truly wonderful.

It has become one of our favourite accommodations worldwide. The location is perfect, and the riad is incredibly beautiful and very peaceful, despite being just a 5-minute walk from the lively souks. The decoration is stunning, the breakfast delicious, and Tariq is an incredible host — kind, attentive and always ready to help. The women who take care of the cleaning are also very kind and welcoming. I travelled with my 13-year-old daughter, and we both felt truly at home. 10 out of 10 is simply not enough. Thank you, Tariq, for your great help and patience. 🙏✨ We loved everything!

Pomohl s orientací ve městě, kdy jsme dostali mapu, kde vše pěkně zakreslil. Naprosto perfektní úplně vše. Snídani jsme měli v horní části Riádu, kde byla i terasa. Nedá se nic vytknout.

Tariq a été un majordome extraordinaire qui nous a organisés et permis de nous déplacer sans aucun stress. Le Riad est magnifique, on y est reçus comme des princesses. Tout est possible au Riad Hugo grâce au dévouement et à l’investissement de Tariq, qui a vraiment rendu ce voyage plus qu’extraordinaire. On a encore du mal à redescendre de notre petit nuage ! Tariq est l’homme de la situation, il se dévoue corps et âme pour nous faire plaisir. La cuisine est succulente,! Tariq c’est vraiment une de nos plus belles rencontres. Tariq was a fabulous host and helped us make dinner reservations and gave us tips for navigating around the city. The location was excellent - walkable, but in a quiet spot. The bed was a little hard for my liking, but that is purely preference.

• Aurélia (10/5): Très joli Riad dans la Médina - Très bon séjour au riad Hugo. Le riad est propre, très beau et confortable. On s'y sent très bien accueilli grâce à Jaouad dès notre arrivée et jusqu'à la fin du séjour. Nous avons pu profiter d'un très bon dîner et de très bons petits déjeuners variés. Terasse rooftop très agréable pour manger ! Nous recommandons ce riad, idéal pour parcourir Marrakech!

Camera accogliente e bel bagno con vasca/doccia incorniciata da un'alcova Colazione buonissima sulla terrazza che è un bellissimo luogo per il relax. Impagabile il supporto di Tariq sia per i trasferimenti da e verso l'aeroporto (e relativo accompagnamento verso il riad) che per i consigli (sempre puntuali) su cosa visitare e dove mangiare. Nulla

La situation geographique du Riad est parfaite, et quartier calme. Tres belle terrasse, salon- Les chambres sont commodes, assez spacieuses et propres. Je recommande et y retournerais sans doute Rien de notre sejour ne nous déplut. Si je devais mettre un bemole ce serait sur le faite que nous n avons pas accés libre au entrée et sortie, du faite de ne pas avoir les clefs de la porte principale-

Tariq a été tout du long du séjour un hôte parfait, attentionné et attentif à chaque détail. Les petits déjeuners sont très bons, nous avons pris un repas du soir délicieux sur place. Toujours de très bon conseil, c'est un très bon point de chute pour commencer à découvrir le Maroc. Le bassin est petit mais agréable après de longues journées de marche. • Stuart (10/5): - Lovely Riad in a quiet location but within easy walking distance of main tourist sites. Tariq is a great host, who gave us a warm welcome explaining how to navigate the streets of the old city. He provided lots of advice and helped make life easy for us organising transfers. Breakfast on the roof terrace was really good and it was a great place to relax at the end of the day. Our room was very nice with a firm but comfortable bed and an excellent ensuite bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend Riad Hugo.k

• Michele (9/5): Un soggiorno indimenticabile grazie all'ospitalità di Tariq! - Ho trascorso una decina di giorni a Marrakech ospite di Tariq al Riad Hugo, e devo dire che è stata un'esperienza incredibile. Fin dal primo momento, Tariq si è dimostrato estremamente accogliente e disponibile, facendomi sentire come a casa. La sua gentilezza e la sua attenzione ai dettagli hanno reso il mio soggiorno ancora più speciale. Il Riad è una vera oasi di pace nel cuore della medina, con stanze eleganti e ben curate. Ogni mattina, la colazione servita sulla terrazza è stata un vero piacere, e la posizione è perfetta per esplorare Marrakech. Tariq è stato anche di grande aiuto nel consigliare i migliori luoghi da visitare e organizzare trasferimenti e attività. La sua disponibilità e il suo impegno per far sì che ogni ospite si senta a proprio agio sono davvero unici. Consiglio vivamente il Riad Hugo a chiunque voglia vivere un'esperienza autentica e confortevole a Marrakech. Grazie ancora, Tariq, per aver reso il mio soggiorno così speciale! Nulla

• Luis E. (9/5): Para repetir, muy agradable alojamiento - Un Riad cómodo, muy limpio y bien atendido. Excelente desayuno en la terraza. Gracias a Tarik por su cordial atención y muy útiles recomendaciones. Si volvemos a Marrakech con seguridad nos alojaremos nuevamente en Riad Hugo. En el baño de nuestra habitación solo hay ducha de mano y no tiene soporte en la pared por lo que hay que sostenerla constantemente lo que es incómodo. Igualmente funcionó bien.

• Elena (10/5): Best Place in marrakech. - Soggiorno fantastico. Struttura fuori dal caos centrale ma comodissima a piedi al centro. Perfetta anche per chi deve fare escursioni: ti vengono a prendere ad un punto d'incontro molto vicino. Jodel e Tariq sono stati eccezionali: se non riuscivamo a fare colazione si offrivano di prepararla al sacco o di farci un thè alla menta al rientro. La piscina è piccola ma perfetta per rinfrescarsi dal caldo di agosto. In bagno c'era persino la piastra. La terrazza ha una vista magnifica sui tetti della città. La gentilezza dei gestori è magnifica. Pulito e super raccomandato.

Un bijou! - Nous avons adoré la Riad et le fait qu'il n'y ait que quatre chambres, permettant une certaine intimité et offrant tous les services nécessaires incluant une super piscine. La Riad est magnifiquement décorée et offre des produits de qualité pour les savons, shampooings et huiles d'ambiance qui sentaient tellement bon que nous nous en avons acheté pour la maison. Les hôtes étaient très sympathiques et accueillants. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux et pris sur la terrasse un endroit magnifique où se reposer. De plus la Riad se trouve dans la Kasbah et non directement au centre de la médina et des souks, permettant ainsi un plus grand calme. Finalement, la chambre était d'une bonne dimension et le lit, très confortable, avec l'air climatisé absolument nécessaire à 49 degrés Celsius! Merci à toute la famille pour un excellent accueil! • Constança (9/5): Superb - The staff was amazing and very accommodating. The riad is beautiful and central. The beds we're very comfortable and the breakfast was always fresh. The photos suggested the pool had some space to lounge, but it doesn't. It still is a beautiful pool, but there's no space to lay down or sunbathe near it (there are beds in the terrace, 2 floors above the pool floor)

• Daniela (10/5): Highly recommended authentic Riad stay! - We had an amazing stay at Riad Hugo. It is conveniently located in a quieter part of the Medina, which is welcome after a day in the hustle and bustle of the narrow streets and souks. The immediate area also feels very safe, you're in walking distance of many of the main attractions and also close taxi drop off/pick up. The Riad itself is beautiful inside. It is small and homely, and the rooms are comfortable. We enjoyed spending time on the roof terrace, eating the delicious and fresh Moroccan breakfast while taking the morning sun. Tariq is a genuine and lovely guy, and an excellent host - he's always there if you have questions or need help/tips, and we really enjoyed chatting to him. Highly recommended! D&N
• Carol (10/5): Beautiful riad, exceptional host! - From the moment we booked, Tariq couldn’t have been more helpful, sorting transfers from and to the airport and giving us all the information and advice we needed. It was our 3rd trip to Morocco and Riad Hugo was a fantastic home during our stay in Marrakech, near El Badi pallace and 10 mins walk away from the main really busy part of the medina, which made it blissfully quiet. The house is beautifully furnished and has all the elegant character of an old riad, with a lovely roof terrace for relaxing, and a small plunge pool which we didn’t need but in the summer heat would be great. We spent a lot of time chatting about pretty much everything with Tariq, who is an exceptional host, a gentleman, as the driver said. We’d definitely be very happy to stay with him again. There was nothing to dislike at all.
• Harshith (9/5): Superb - Staff is very welcoming and helped me with the best day plans and helped us when asked. There was some street fight on the first night which I could see from rooms window but this is very rare as far I have in marrakesh. Room had some small cockroaches on the floor.
• Emma (10/5): Perfect place in the heart of the city - A perfect little palace. Tareq had been communicating with us on WhatsApp to arrange trips but was away so Joaud looked after us. He was amazing and such a nice man - greeted us with mint tea and snacks and helped us navigate the medina. Good to have a sense of adventure to stay in medina although area seemed safe and I slept well in very comfy bed. Also loved the tiled bath. Simple but delicious and fresh Moroccan breakast on the terrace. Just 15 min walk from the big square with lively entertainment. Beautiful place.
