- Evan (8/5): - I stayed here for the weekend (~3 days). After a fairly rough check-in, I walked into the room to find it had not been cleaned after the last occupant had left. I communicated with the staff, but the process was clunky and irritating. After figuring out that every message I sent had to have a corresponding e-mail response, I was finally able to convey the problem. The result? I was moved across the street for the night, and the room was cleaned the next day. The room was okay. The air conditioner / heater was noisy, but that is all I have to say that was really bad about it. No, my main gripe is the awkwardness of the check-in process and messaging the concierge-service/front-desk. Everything else was more or less fine.

- James (8/5): - This place is an older motel that has been redone on the inside. From the pictures on Expedia, I expected it would be a small, newer cabin-type room (also given that it's connected to an RV park). But once we got inside, it was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. It's right on highway 160, which can be loud. But with the room ventilation fan provided the white noise we needed to keep road noise out. There is no front desk, just direct access to the room. For the price, I think it's a good value and I would stay there again.
- Dan (6/5): industrial strength deodorizer - reasonable price, would rate higher but housekeeping used way too much industrial strength deodorizer. Had to open door and run heater for a couple of hours to be able to stand the overpowering smell.
- Brook (2/5): - Door code was incorrect, tried calling every number with no luck but thankfully got a text back with a different code to try. Random dogs will greet you from the cabins. Place is rough but doable. They need a new handy man, workmanship was poor.
- Tilly (6/5): - Older motel and least expensive in the area. The a/c needs attention as the panel was falling off and it was noisy. No bedside table on both sides, so had to use a chair.

- Rhonda (8/5): - Rainbow Lodge is a great and convenient location for day-trips / back-country touring in Southfork area. Rooms are large, nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. The only reason I rated this Lodge as a 4 is because the rooms have no A/C....owner says it is because it is not needed.....temps dip to mid 50's overnight. The problem is the rooms heat up during the day and it was difficult to rest in a warm room while waiting for the cool down to occur. The windows had no screens, so I was not comfortable leaving windows open to assist with cool-down. The owner was very nice to provide a fan for us....which helped tremendously.
- Christopher (8/5): It works - Clean overall. Small bath towels from Pakistan are not my favorite. As I've said before the air con vents need cleaned. The air con seems to have gotten louder. Overall a good place to stay for the price.

Bed was comfortable, and enormous if you like that. It seemed large even for a king. Maybe it was because of that little tent the night before!

- misty (8/5): Good on a budget - Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfy. The room did get a little warm as I couldn't seem to locate an A/C. Check in was easy. The town does not have many food options.
- Greg (6/5): - There are no staff at this location but self check in wasn’t a problem. The rooms smelled like stale cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. I reserved for a family of 5 and there weren’t enough bath towels. Would I stay here again - no.

- Jeremy (6/5): Good for Hunters and Fishermen - Perfect place for hunters or fishermen as there is plenty of room for muddy boots. Unfortunately, for those of us who would like to hing up clothes, there were no hangers. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was reasonably clean and that was all that mattered for an overnight stop. We would not stay again.

Nobody answered the numbers given, mailbox full, didnt answer text, was stuck at the hotel for hours trying to get ahold of someone before giving up.

- Elizabeth (2/5): - We were very pleased with the amazing air conditioning. Well, it was easy to check in online and the code worked on the door the number lock to retrieve the keys did not work. Felt the need to put a chair in front of the door not being able to get the physical keys out of the box. The room itself was okay the bed is overly soft with no support. There were suspicious looking stains on the walls especially in the bathroom. After arriving took a shower and the bathroom ceiling vent was two inches from the ceiling dangling. Shower heads are outdated and due to the hard water buildup, quite uncomfortable with the stream. Sum of the wall paneling is coming apart from the wall and there were some spider webs. Did not assume much of it until three am after tossing and turning from the too soft bed, when Charlotte came for a visit. After some flailing and and eight legged dash across the bed our foe perished. Although there are likely hundreds of spider eggs left behind. This place was also advertised as having a hot tub, which was present, however, has turned into a smoke shack for some of the more permanent residents of the site. The hot tub was empty and the panels were off the sides. Not a recommended place to stay for any price.

- Christopher (6/5): - We have always stayed in rooms 103 and 104 that have air conditioning. CONS; I missed that 107 has no air con, which would be fine if the front window opened to create air flow between the two bedrooms. The back bedroom has a ok size window, but it didn't cool the front bedroom even though we used our fan. The bathroom has no hooks for bath towels and there is nowhere to hang clothes. Technically this room sleeps 6 with 3 double beds, but there is not really enough room for luggage etc. PROS: The property is always clean and we like the little freezer. Check-in is easy.

- Tanya (10/5): Our favorite place to stay in South Fork. - This is our favorite place to stay when in town. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfy - and you can’t beat the price! The automated check-in feature is convenient as well.
- Randy (10/5): - This is a simple hotel that charges a low, low price. The room isn’t fancy but it was perfect for my one-night stay on a road trip. The online booking and check-in system worked perfectly. But here’s the best part. I texted the owner today I was having car trouble. Asked if he could recommend a good garage. The next thing I know their maintenance guy was at my door to see if he could help the car. I needed a full garage and this guy steered me away from a place with a bad reputation and sent me to someone who treated me well. This was above and beyond and really made me feel great about my hotel choice.

- Danette (2/5): - The property was filthy when we checked in. The heater did not work, one of the chairs was broken, you could not use the microwave and any other appliances at the same time. Two burners on the range would not light. The cabinet door was broken. The sink in the bathroom was more for children it was so low. The first bedroom stunk really bad! The refrigerator handle was broken. The bathtub drain barely worked. There was no staff on site, you had to go through the internet. It was an all around terrible experience!!
- Patt (8/5): Great Value for a Weary Traveller - The lodge is great and a real value. I was SO-oooo tired that I had to pull over for sleep. Was glad I did - it was quiet, clean and convenient. Would stay there again. It is dog friendly and feels totally safe. It is not fancy - so, if you're the kind of person who needs ultra-modern and turn-down service, this is not the place for you.

Bed was very comfortable and hangers delivered promptly (though I’m not sure why there weren’t any in the room initially?) While the property is dog, friendly, people should have a little more respect on picking up their dogs excrements from the front lawn area!

- arturo (6/5): Dirty Sheets and bad customer service - The check in process was difficult, waited around 30 minutes in the cold to get to our room. Once Inside my family wanted to rest but we couldnt because we found hairs on one of the beds. I then requested additional sheets to replace the dirty ones but they were still dirty. I requested the sheets again and the manager screamed at me through the phone, eventually after arguing I exchanged the sheets for a new pair eventhough they were still dirty. Despite being a pet friendly hotel, this doesnt mean I should expect the sheets to have hairs on them upon arrival!!!!

- Christopher (8/5): Works for us. - Rainbow is always clean. Though the rooms are recently updated, the bathroom door is falling off it's reused hinges. The air conditioner/heating unit needs cleaned and the vents need to be replaced. They need a better process, (maybe oxy) to wash the towels. All towels except one hand towel had stains. When we left here was no one available to tell about the broken bathroom door or stained towels

- Travis (4/5): Old and Dated and Rundown - There aren’t a lot of choices in South Fork, CO, but this rundown old motel has seen better days. We never saw an employee. We arrived after their limited office hours (we were there before 5) and never saw anyone when we checked out the next morning. Although everything was very dated, it was reasonably clean and comfortable. Our bedroom had vinyl horizontal blinds (which were broken) and there is no air conditioning. So we had the window open all night and were woken up by the bright sun in our eyes just after dawn.

- Jonathan (4/5): Thumbs down - I had low expectations, and was merely looking for a ‘crash-pad’, but when I observed plant life growing through the shower walls and a bathroom door coming off its hinges, I knew Hotels.com needed to know what type of motel this is and consider removing it from its options. I would like a full refund.
- Kelly (6/5): - Did not get one of the cabins with the beds that I was expecting from our reservation. Not sure why not. This was a bit small for our group. Called and asked about kitchen utensils so was surprised to find only 2 bowls, 3 plates, no spoons and 3 cups after I was told it was fully stocked. Stove/oven needed to be lit but no sparker, lighter or matches were provided. Cleanliness wasn't an issue but many items were "fixed" or improved by someone who didn't know what they were doing and didn't work well.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Rainbow Lodge - The feel of being a family operated establishment was nice. The front desk staff was very kind and had a good sense of humor. The room, unfortunately, did as well. There were vines growing in the corner of the shower/tub combo. The not to be stained towels came pre-stained in some cases. The TV stand has dried and sticky sugar spilled on it. The bed was comfortable if you like a super soft mattress.
