Nadine (10/5): Notre Coup de Coeur du Voyage ! - Tout !!!! Le lodge juste devant la piscine, c'était extraordinaire. La chambre est vraiment grande. Le coin cuisine et salon (petit divan et hamac) Endroit vraiment paisible et ressourçant. Pour le premier matin, l'hôte nous laisse du jus, du pain et de la confiture. On a beaucoup apprécié cette petite attention. On y est resté 3 jours et on aurait bien voulu y rester toute la semaine tellement on s'y sentait bien. :) Le chemin pour se garer aurait besoin de quelques réparations. Il faut rouler doucement pour ne pas abîmer sa voiture. Chemin en pente et étroit. 2 voitures ne passent pas. Alors, j'ai été bien heureuse de ne rencontrer personne, sinon l'un des deux doit reculer et ce n'est pas évident. Il n'y a pas beaucoup de restaurants à proximité. Le mieux est d'aller au marché acheter de quoi pour cuisiner sur place.

Myriam (8/5): Ecrin de verdure très calme et paisible - Cet écrin de verdure très calme et paisible (sauf quand il y a du monde dans la piscine :-), permet de bien déconnecter et changer d'air. J'ai séjourné dans le studio 2, bien aménagé et très fonctionnel, un système de poulie très original (pour lever les volets de la chambre) complète une jolie déco. Le nécessaire pour le premier petit-dèj était fourni, et le personnel fut très aimable. Par ailleurs, la cuisine est très bien équipée. Un petit détail, trois fois rien: il manquait le balai serpière qui allait avec le seau, ou une serpière à l'entrée pour s'essuyer les pieds lorsque l'on vient mouillé de la piscine.

Thomas (10/5): Mal was anderes! - Übernachten im Baumhaus in solch einer Umgebung war ein tolles Erlebnis! Wir wurden nett empfangen und haben viel gestaunt. Man sollte aber keine Abneigung gegenüber Eidechsen und Vögeln haben die irgendwie immer mit dabei sind (jedoch nicht im Schlafraum!) Wir fanden es toll. Das Haus, aber auch die ganze Anlage sind sehr schön gestaltet und gearbeitet. Die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten wie Brot, Butter, Kaffee und Marmelade am Tag der Anreise gefallen. Auch die "Bar" am Pool ist super für ein Getränk (vertrauensvolle Selbstbedienung). Die Geräuschkulisse ist enorm. Das ist normal und nicht als Kritik zu verstehen --> Ohrenstöpsel sind wirklich zu empfehlen :) Außerdem kann es kühl werden --> Pulli nicht vergessen.

Maria (8/5): - Die Lodge war wunderschön und gemütlich. Der Empfang sehr herzlich. Beim Frühstück haben uns die Vögel am Tisch Gesellschaft geleistet. Der Ort Saint Claude an sich ist nicht wirklich sehenswert, die Lage der Lodge weiter oben aber hervorragend für alle Aktivitäten.

Le gîte était propre et confortable et c’était un vrai plaisir de vivre au cœbur de cette belle végétation luxuriante égayée par le chant des colibris. Nous avons aussi apprécié la proximité de la belle plage de Grande Anse. Ce gîte est vraiment à découvrir.

Studios located by the pool,near the honesty bar and coffee on tap. What’s not to love x The access road was difficult to negotiate with broken roadway.

olivia buono (10/5): séjour merveilleux dans un lodge au milieu d'une nature luxuriante. - "Les bananes vertes" est un lieu merveilleux pour les amateurs de nature. Situé au pied de la soufrière, nous n'avons pas souffert de la chaleur. Le concept du lodge est très agréable, on vit dehors et dedans la fois. Il est construit de facon très astucieuse, rendant le logement simple, confortable et très original à la fois. La literie etait très bonne. Nos avons apprécié la piscine et le bar mis à disposition. Nos hotes ont été charmants et très arrangeants (nous avons laissé nos bagages + produits frais quelques jours chez eux le temps d'aller aux Saintes). Nous reviendrons, c'est certain, le lieu est vraiment exceptionnel! rien, c'est un sans faute

Marloes (10/5): - Een prachtige omgeving en mooie tuin waar de huisjes echt een eigen plekje bieden. Fijn met een keuken, eethoek, zithoek en hangmat buiten op de veranda. Eten moet goed opgeborgen worden ivm dieren die er zijn doordat het aan de rand van de jungle ligt. De bedden zijn minder comfortabel.

We had fresh bread and jam, juice and coffee in the kitchen for our breakfast the next morning. A welcome drink in the bar on our arrival. The property had parking and a lovely swimming pool. Laure (10/5): Restful place after hikes in the Soufrière mountains - Well located eco-friendly lodges and studios, perfect location for hike in the Soufrière area. Studios are well equipped to cook and temperature was perfect to sleep without air conditioning. A bar is open several days a week and offers nice appetiser/ dinner plates with local rhum. We were welcomed by one of the owners who provided good advice for hike. The couple running the bar was charming which is definitely a plus. You have to know that there is no restaurant in Saint Claude but a small supermarket with everything you need to cook in your nature kitchen. Nothing we were sad having to leave the place

Gerhard (10/5): Very enjoyable stay - Very enjoyable stay This is the perfect place for a few quiet and relaxing days at the base of the volcano. The lodges are in a beautiful landscaped garden setting. We had lodge #4 which has a private hot tub. The temperatures up the mountain at this time of the year cool down in the evening, perfect for enjoying a glass of champagne or wine in the hot tub!!! There is also a very nice pool on the property. It’s only a 10 minute drive (on a very narrow and winding road) to the trailhead if you want to hike the volcano. The hike is only 7 miles roundtrip, but very tough. Please don’t go on this hike wearing flip flops (as I saw one guy). Everybody is very nice and we really enjoyed our stay! Everything was as we hoped it would be. We have nothing to complain about!

Nalini (10/5): Exceptional - lovely location in the midst of some beautiful gardens and with lots of trees around. Had a small pool which was lovely in the evening after we had a long hot walk. very relaxing place. Plenty of interesting night sounds to listen to. it was a little difficult to manage the food as we had to remember to lock all the food away to stop the raccoons from getting it. Having said that, it was a trade off as the raccoons did add some excitement to dinner time!

Maaike (10/5): Beautiful place to stay and enjoy the area around Saint-Claude - The house was beautiful, we loved hanging out in the open balcony/kitchen area with hammock and day-bed. It's an excellent base to stay a couple of days as it is 10 minutes drive from several attractions: hike up la soufriere, les bains jaunes, hike to the waterfalls, bassin bleu, fort-delgres in Basse-terre etc. The kitchen was well-equipped so we loved cooking ourselves or having take-out in the evening.
