- JAMES (10/5): - Large room ,Clean, comfortable room and bed, quiet, excellent stay for budget. Travel.
- T (8/5): - Everything is good
- Ian Ernest (10/5): - Great hotel and staff. The lady in the restaurant is really nice. As is the food.
- Robert (10/5): - i love staying in this part of chiang mai! i got a three bed room for $9. best hotel price i’ve paid for in thailand. can’t beat the price
- Erin (6/5): - Amazing spot for dining options, convenient for shops or if you had to rent a bike etc. Walkable to famous temples etc, but famous attractions are a drive away (which is cheap on Bolt etc). Overall, great experience for what you’re paying (you can’t really complain)!. Also a lovely coffee shop/restaurant which is really affordable downstairs/next to the hotel, which was run by a lovely lady. Thank you x
- Jayananth (8/5): - Good for everyone
- Alexa (8/5): - It's clean and in a great location. The only downside is that the front desk staff is not always available during the hours that they state they are (e.g. I arrived at 6:30AM and needed my room key, their front desk states they open at 7:00AM but they didn't arrive until 7:40AM; I also noticed others trying to check-in around 8PM during my stay were also waiting quite a while and had asked for my help).
- Peter (10/5): - Excellent place in old city. Great location. It was very clean and quiet.
- Peter (10/5): - Great!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It’s ok for the price. Similar to a motel room, towels stained like old, room clean overall not detailed. Shampoo and water left in the room everyday. Reception not so helpful.
- Peter (10/5): - Great place.
- Carter (10/5): - Nice quiet hotel a short way down a quiet street. Good restaurant on site and walking distance from a large number of nice eateries. Within the walled and moated area of the old city and walking distance from numerous temples and sites
- Michael D (10/5): - I almost feel like I live here
On this 2 month travel I’ve stayed here a bunch of nights.
Simple clean accommodations in the heart of the old city

Very basic rooms
Very reasonable rates and location is excellent.

Walking distance to all the places you wxnt to visit.
Lots of food - coffee- just down the street.
Quiet
Near to Sompet Market
Try Grazie Restaurant for the best Thai food - cheap.
Small Restaurant IN the hotel also has great food
- Maria (10/5): - Super clean, nice staff and well located
- Michael D (10/5): A bargain jewel for travelers - It’s a basic travelers hotel.
Nothing fancy
But very clean. Quiet, safe
Staff is great
Small full menu restaurant onsite.
My go to place in Old City Chiang Mai
- Chin Hin (10/5): - Easy going staffs and very nice restaurant owner next to the lobby. Must try their Thai foods!
- HeeDong (8/5): - Great to stay
- Felipe (8/5): - all things considered its good
- Victor (10/5): - Staff is great
- SHANE (8/5): - basic but comfortable room with both fan and air con. bottles of water and toiletries provided every day. located just off main road in old town of chang mai.
- Christie (10/5): - Perfect central place to stay. Big room!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was overall good but I wish they were more specific about the onsite parking. They practically don’t have room for parking except for a little spot on the sidewalk in front of the hotel. If there had been another car besides the big bike that was there, we would’ve had no parking. Grant it, it is in a good spot. Not bad if you’re in a hurry to find somewhere to stop for the night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - C est excellent et le service est très bon le personnel est accueillant et les préposés à l entretien super gentil
- Tony (8/5): - Early check-in was appreciated. Small, clean near many resturants and market
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Northland House has a great location in Old Town. Lots of very good cafes and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The restaurant on the ground floor is super good. Excellent food at reasonable price. The hostess is very kind with good service.
- Daniel (8/5): Great Location - I found this hotels location to be excellent for local eats Andy closeness to public transportation. It was by far the best location I have stayed at in Chiang Mai for the price. The restaurant that was attached to the hotel had great food as well, however we only ate there a couple times as we wanted to experience other restaurants near by.
- Richard (4/5): Don’t be fooled by a pretty face. - Lobby is only thing nice about this place. Wifi is useless
- Richard (4/5): Pretty lobby with subpar rooms. - Careful, the lobby makes it look like you will be staying in an updated boutique hotel. It is not in very good shape beyond the lobby however. Wifi was absolutely useless. Not sure why the attached restaurant has gotten so much good reviews. It is not very appealing compared to others in the area.
- Diane (10/5): Excellent Hotel - Great budget hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good location about 10-15 minutes drive from bus and train stations and walking distance to the night markets. The Thai lady at the restaurant next door was super friendly and nice. She gave generous portions of food with complimentary fruits at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend this hotel.
- Valerie (8/5): - I stayed for two nights, staff were helpful and easy to deal with. The hotel was clean with spacious rooms including a fridge. In a great position.
- Casey (6/5): Decent at best - uncomfortable beds, decent location, doesn’t look much like the photos.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - There were small bugs everywhere.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Pro:
1. quite a number of massage places nearby
2.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfect place when you're on a stopover. Make sure to ask for the correct WiFi password at the reception though.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We stayed there for 4 days, the staff was friendly and the room was always clean, they have fan and air condition which was really good. At the restaurant next to the hotel, the cute Thai lady was very friendly and lovely personality, we went there for breakfast every day she gave us lot of food, we didn’t need to eat lunch which saved money also! This place is highly recommended, especially restauran’s Thai lady!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The superior room is definitely not worth the extra money. Very basic hotel, the only thing that made it worth the amount we paid was that the bed was so comfortable compared to all the other places we have stayed in. The room and bathroom were clean, the room had AC and a fan, and we felt our stuff was pretty safe being locked in the room. No laundry on site but there is a self laundry place within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay here but felt we paid more then we should have for what we got.
- Man Ngai (8/5): Good budget hotel - Budget hotel with basic facilities but good services and location.
- myoungsoo (8/5): Near Sompet market - Very often has poor Wi-Fi connection
- Geoffrey (8/5): Very good for the price. - Hotel staff very good, clean room, and always clean. Locality good, tho 20 min walk to night market, had nightmare with wi fi, they changed password one day, then upstairs, can’t connect, 3 days was like this, perfect in lobby. Really need to sort this properly. Bed hard, pillows even harder, very sore neck in mornings, but if you like it firm then fine.
- David (8/5): Comfort and convenience - Room was nice. Restaurant did a great breakfast.
Just inside the old city walls very near Wat Lamchang and Wat Cheng Mun.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Bargain - If you are looking a for a basic and cheap option in the Old City, look no further. Spacious room with great hot water and AC. Service is helpful when approached. Laundry wash service just across from hotel. Walking distance to all main points of interest in city. Great restaurants and bars all around. Wi-Fi is not the best, but works with patience. Restaurant downstairs is good and cheap with an exceptional host.
- Katrin (10/5): Very good value - Very good value in an excellent location. The hotel has recently been renovated . We would stay there again.
- Tara (10/5): - The facility suited our needs with a nice room, restaurant, and location.
