• John (8/5): Stayed here many times, it’s like home from home. - Friendly and helpful doorman. Good location. Takes ages to check in, even though booked and paid for in advance.
• MARIELA (1/5): Horrible - El hotel apestaba , todo estaba viejo con tela araña y mucha humedad y moho. No me quedé los 3 días solo una noche por emergencia porque llegué y no tenía donde dormir y andaba con mi familia y niñas pequeñas. Al siguiente día d inmediato me fui a hospedar a otro hotel que estuviera limpio . Este estaba muy sucio y apestaba. La limpieza , y hacer mantenimientos en el hotel, todas sus paredes estaban cayendo la pintura y la tina llena de moho la cortina todo olía horrible .

• J (3/5): Feedback Regarding Disappointing Hotel Experience - *Subject: Feedback Regarding Disappointing Hotel Experience* Dear Nran Grand Hotel I would like to share my feedback regarding my recent stay at the hotel, which unfortunately did not meet my expectations based on the advertisements shown on your website and third-party platforms. Firstly, the room was considerably smaller than portrayed, and the bathroom was even more cramped. The air conditioning unit was not functioning properly and failed to cool the room effectively. The breakfast provided was extremely limited in both quality and quantity, falling well short of the standards expected. Additionally, the hotel is more than a kilometer from the nearest metro station, contrary to the impression given online. The gym facilities were below standard, with outdated equipment, and located on a floor where the elevator was either unavailable or not operational. The swimming pool also did not match its online representation—it appeared far less appealing in person than in the promotional images. Lastly, the service terms were stricter than expected, and not clearly communicated prior to booking. • Vivek (8/5): Very good - Ok, stayed a few nights, lovely location in a quiet neighbourhood about 15 minutes from all the bars on a taxi bike. Food was excellent and cheap in the hotel , but loads of street food places within a few minutes and a good American Diner (visited once) which was good. Staff super friendly. Pool was empty most of the day which was surprising, lovely rooftop views. Hotel is being revamped , a grand lady of a hotel, but needs modernisation. Great great value for money.

• remusx2025 (2/5): Dissapointing - This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The bathroom was full of ants, making it feel dirty and disgusting. To make things even worse, the ceiling in the bathroom was leaking, and dirty water dripped onto my head while I was taking a shower absolutely unacceptable, It was clear that the hotel lacked proper maintenance and hygiene standards. On top of all that, the staff was incredibly slow and unresponsive. Every request took forever, and they didn’t seem to care about guests at all. I would never stay here again, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place at all costs!

• jasminerV5964NJ (4/5): Not great at all - This hotel was not worth the money, if you are a tourist looking to do the tourist attractions it is not a good location at least a 40-1 hour minute journey to anything, the pool was shut the whole time we were there and was very dirty, under our bed was disgusting with used cigarettes left on the floor of our hotel room, the lobby was filled with random boxes and the streets around the hotel were dirty and disgusting, the local food was terrible and limited to choices for anything for breakfast and lunch, we had to travel 2 hours plus per day to get anywhere good, would not recommend to first time comers to Bangkok to this hotel, also the air con in the rooms where terrible , our decryption of the room was good view balcony, the balcony was the size of a box and the view was a parking lot. If you were staying for one night it would be ok, but would recommend to book somewhere else because we paid mainly for use of the pool and we couldn’t even use it.

Swimming pool open but unsure about water cleanliness. Connecting doors between rooms!! Thin and no soundproofing. A late night noise disaster 😪

• George (5/5): Don't expect too much, passable. - We stayed 2 nights. This hotel was cheap, at around £25 a night for a superior double room.. I wouldn't pay anymore than that. The superior double room had a large bed. The staff were very helpful, especially the man who takes your bags to your room, he was very happy and helpful. And showed us the rooms before we stayed. The room had a very large 48inch smart TV, which worked with the WiFi. The hotel seems uptogether on the outside, but inside it is old and tired. It hasn't been renovated for over 40 years, and it needs a good clean. The room was spacious but was dirty. There were stains on the towels and sheets, dead bugs in the bathroom, flaking paint, and hairs on the tiled floors. AirCon grill was filthy. It seems every floor of the hotel is different, some more uptogether than others. The hallways of the hotel need decorating. The rooftop pool is OK and is situated on the 7th floor. The hallway you walk down to reach the pool looks kind of spooky, dark with brown peeling wallpaper and stained carpets. There are only a few sun loungers out at the pool. The pool was full of leaves and feathers and needed a bit of a clean. The hotel isn't situated very close to much, and a taxi ride or tram ride is necessary if you want to venture out anywhere worth seeing. Overall 5/10 the Niran Grand was almost certainly grand... maybe 50 years ago! Needs a good clean!

Free breakfast - although severely limited and empty prior to 10am The hotel was overbooked when we arrived so the hotel put us in a room of lesser value than we paid for for 1 night. We then had the hassle of moving our things to our actual room the next day after checkout which was a hassle and offered no compensation. The pool / rooftop bar is closed for renovations. The facilities - sauna etc were at extra cost. The receptionists spoke very little english.

Also staff in restaurant (evening and breakfast) was very friendly. Thanks them so much to avoid that stay was ending in a desaster. The rooms and the hotel are very old and look not nice anymore. Very dark athmosphere in the entrance and the restaurant. This hotel need a complete makeover. In the night a lot of noise from other guests. Not very high standard guests. Neighbour was loud discussiing price and payment for his hired ladyboy. At 3 am in the morning.

• Chane (5/5): VERY DISAPPOINTED - The bed was very comfortable. In the room we booked the bathroom would stream water from the ceiling whenever the guests above showered. The manager asked it we'd like to move to a different room. We obviously said yes. When we got to the second room, we noticed a lot of mold. The bathroom ceiling was completely molded. The aircon vent was moldy. Mold in the grout around the sink. The walls were dirty and had smudges all over. Cobwebs dangling from the walls. The pictures on the booking are not current, not what it looks like anymore.

• Olivia (6/5): Pleasant stay, Location is quite a distance away. - Room was big enough for two people. Amenities such as soaps and shampoos provided. Hotel staff are very accommodating and baggage can be left if there is a late flight. Location is very far from the city centre - Location to the city centre is quite a distance especially in the mornings if any excursions are booked you will miss them if you don't leave with enough time. There is also a strange smell in the hotel downstairs but isn't too bad when you go upstairs. No hairdryer in the room. Baggage is left within the main reception area of the hotel and not locked away so anyone can have access to it.

• amritar624 (2/5): Do not book here. It's depressing - The Pictures posted does not match the hotel at all. Very deceiving, I booked for 7 nights. The older woman at the front desk was very very rude. I went to my room and it was gross, the hotel looks like something from a horror movie and it smelled really bad. I sat on the couch for 20 minutes being grossed out to touch anything. I booked another hotel and called a taxi. So offcourse they didn't refund me anything. And will still have to room available for the 7 nights and charge someone else for the same. It was absolutely disgusting. Thankfully the new hotel I booked made up for it because it is absolutely perfect.

There was a stench from the air conditioning every now and then. The hotel needs a general renovation. I cancelled my stay at this hotel after 2 nights, I was promised a refund for another two nights which I had already paid for, to this day I have no money. I was just cheated brazenly by the gentleman at reception. This is the worst hotel I have ever been to.

Our toilet was malfunctioning and flushing was difficult because you had to always lift the top compartment of the toilet. Another thing that upset me was that one of the staff members at the reception was pretty rude when I told her that we lost our key. I can understand that this is also not very pleasant for them but she discussed like 30 min. with me with something I could not change at the moment. I paid a deposit 500 Baht for the key and for me that would have done the deal but not for this lady.
• kayleighj731 (6/5): Would NOT stay here again! - Would not stay here again!! Pool is horrific, it was literally green and not able to see the bottom. There was hardly any loungers/beds around it. The lobby area was basically full of storage (TVs, boxes ect). WiFi was terrible as well. The balcony is not actually a balcony it’s the size of a toilet with air con units taking up most of the space. Terrible location (we couldn’t find a place to go for breakfast within a 15 min walk, so had to go to 7-Eleven).
