Guest Reviews
- James (9/5): -
- Russell (8/5): - Very nice view of the beach and they have a very nice pool
- MyRoadLessTraveled (10/5): Quality I've Come to Expect - It is a pleasure to be able to count on hospitality in this era of impersonal service. The staff at the Reges made us feel as if they really wanted us to be there. The smiling housekeeping staff made sure the room was clean. The maintenance staff greated us with a friendly hello. The cafe staff served us like friends. And the front desk staff made sure we had everything we needed. We loved the refreshing pool and hottub (still open in Sept.), the local restaurants (Carini's and the Crest Tavern). We were so happy that we decided to add a day to our trip. Joanne (?) helped us do that and went the extra mile to ensure we did not have to move out of our room and helped us stay within our limited budget.
My only complaints were minor ones related to the fact that I love to watch and hear the ocean. The bright balcony lights cannot be turned off at night and there is music piped into the pool area during the day. There is, however, a window of time at dawn when natural conditions prevailed, which was perfect for me.
This is the quiet end of Wildwood Crest, but the boardwalk is just a short bikeride away.
- Joseph (8/5): - Decent stay building is showing its age but staff was friendly.
- KENNETH (10/5): -
- Guest (10/5): What a wonderful vacation spot! - Comfortable room. Friendly staff. Ocean front and the beach.
- kathy (8/5): - The Reges Hotel in Wildwood Crest was a very nice family oriented hotel. The hotel was clean and convenient it could use a little updating but overall our family had a great stay.
- Jonathan (8/5): -
- Emerle (10/5): - Quiet on the beach location. Nice pool and seating areas. The property was well taken care of. Complimentary coffee would have been terrific in the morning.
- Liz Preziosi (8/5): -
- gdr02 (10/5): Great vacation. - Another family vacation.Great time.Love the Reges.Personnel at the desk, pool and doing rooms very attentive and personable.Maintenance came as soon as an issue came up.Great pool with alot of chairs.Rooms are a good size.We have four rooms that converge on one for supper and we love it and fit them all.Just a great family place with the joyous sounds of summer.Vacation isn't long enough and already booked for next year!!!
- cynthiarV5817TY (6/5): Typical Jersey Shore Hotel - This is you typical Jersey Shore hotel
It is older and needs to have some of their profit reinvested. The rooms a typical hotel room set up, the beds werecomfortable.
We noticed that the floor was damp, we thought it was maybe from our cooler, it was not! We reported this to the cleaning staff and was advised that it is typical, the A/C vent in the wall has condensation and was dripping down the wall! It was also dripping from the light in the bathroom.
The balcony with the ocean view was perfect. It is a short walk to a very wide beautiful beach. There is a nice size pool. The staff was very friendly.
- Tiffany (10/5): - Great clean rooms , pool was incredible plus a hot tub for the adults. Staff were nice and easy check in . The best place to stay in wildwood .
- Mobile27718310020 (10/5): Enjoyable Vacation! - We recently stayed at the Reges Oceanfront Resort for over the July 4th holiday. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The accommodations were clean and we enjoyed our stay. Short walk to the beach. Great Ocean view! Reges cafe and take out window were close by and provided good food.
- Mary (8/5): - Pool is heated
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- KCMurdah2 (10/5): Reges Hotel Resort - Very nice resort. Family oriented and staff is friendly. Right on the beach with a restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Very clean, bathrooms are a little small but view of ocean and beach are excellent. I would recommend the Reyes Hotel Resort.
- JOHN (10/5): - A bit dated, but excellent facilities. Very nice staff.
- DANIEL (8/5): - Pool , ocean view rooms
- Erin R. (8/5): - Friendly staff and clean rooms
- Anonymous (5/5): Our stay was probably a 5 out of 10, the terrible breakest the restaurant was the worst part - The staff was friendly, ocean view from balcony was good ,very relaxing. Brought back memories The breakfast served was a horrible mess. The frozen sausages were burnt the omelet was a soggy mess , my eggs tasted terrible and not fresh, coffee was like water, worst food ever, actually felt ill afterwards, sent everything back except the toast! Cost me and my wife $42 for breakfast! Do not go to the restaurant at the Reges. My wife and I used to come here 20 + years go with the kids the place needs to be updated a bit ,was disappointed . This kind of messed up our stay but we were thankful just to be together for a few nights.
- Ruthanne (1/5): If you are looking for a resort atmosphere this is NOT a good choice - Absolutely nothing is to like this is in no way a resort it is a hotel at best a place to sleep only and way over priced Outside walk to room jacuzzi was 1 room at a time for 20 min no restaurant cafe closes at 2pm staff not accommodating no help with luggage very uncomfortable atmosphere
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- Hil (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! The pullout sofa was entirely uncomfortable.
- GFrank333 (10/5): A Gem in Wildwood Crest NJ - We have stayed at the Reges multiple times and it never disappoints. The most recent trip was early in the season, so the hotel and Wildwood generally were less crowded than mid-Summer. We have also gone busier times, and it is still a wonderful location. As always, the staff are excellent, rooms are very clean, the property is immaculate, and the pool was warm (the weather was a little chilly). The resort has a cafe that serves breakfast and lunch...very convenient if you don't want to walk or drive for food.
- Laura (8/5): Very good -
- Theresa (10/5): - From the minute we got to the Reges, the staff was welcoming and friendly. Pool was heated and huge. Elevators were quick, rolling racks were plenty and readily available for transporting luggage from car to room. Dining on premises was convenient. Breakfast was great! Handicap accessible. Definitely would stay there again!
- Kayla (6/5): - This property is severely outdated and overpriced for that reason. There are other hotels in the area that are in the same price range that are not in this condition. Its clean, but its stuck in time for sure.
The internet doesn't work nearly at all and the maintenance guy said that we were right by the router. The other maintenance guy was smoking cigarettes frequently right by the front door and it was so gross to walk into.
Most of the ladies up front were nice but there was one really grumpy one who was going on about how her boss left her alone and didnt let her eat her lunch and so on.
I expected a lot more from this place for the price tag for sure.
I will say, it was nice to be steps to the beach! But this is also the case for MANY hotels within steps of this one.
- Tammy (10/5): Will be there again! - The location was excellent along with the service. Very friendly and make you feel welcomed. None
- Nirmal (9/5): Superb - Location is very good. you feel like you have a private beach. I liked everything they had to offer. it would have been bettet if they had offered a buffet breakfast
- Eileen (9/5): Superb - View. Staff very helpful Unable to adjust temperature n the room.
It was very cold.
- Christina (10/5): Lovely Weekend Trip - The room was wonderful, clean and spacious! There were plenty of hangers and cabinet space for clothes too. The mini fridge was bigger than expected as well. The staff were super sweet and helpful. The views were gorgeous! The beach was right next to the hotel. It was like a five minute walk straight to the water, and 1 minute to get to the beach itself. The pool and the jaccuzzi was really nice too. I loved the stay, and would definitely come back and stay even longer.
- Janis (8/5): Very good - Bathrooms need updating
- Joseph (8/5): - Was very close to the beach. Room was clean, however did not look anything like the pictures online. Someone was smoking on the balcony and you could smell it.
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeanette (10/5): - Awesome old school Wildwood Crest hotel. Beach front, great pool.
- Raghothama (10/5): Excellent location, kind staff - Enjoyed both sunset and sunrise
- Debra (10/5): - The Regis is in my Top 5 Places to Stay in WW Crest!
- Bush (10/5): Exceptional - Their cafe had good food, and the servers were friendly. We had a great view from our balcony, but sometimes, we wished we could block the sun while on the balcony. Nothing.
- Beth (9/5): I enjoyed being at this hotel and would recommend it to others - I loved the pool, walk to the beach and location Nothing
- Barbara (8/5): It was good. But difficult for us because of our ages 78 and 80. Luggage carts were hard to handle80 - Breakfast was good. Service was poor. It was hard for my husband in a wheelchair to manage the 1inch step into the room.
- Kirlin (10/5): Exceptional -
- spencer (10/5): - Oceanfront and a nice part of the beach.
- Stephanie (10/5): They were very accommodating. I decided to stay longer and they switched rooms for me and I really enjoyed my stay - The front desk let me check in late as I was coming from work The elevators were always busy but besides that it was fine we took the stairs
- Fitim (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! The breakfast cafeteria.
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janis (9/5): The view, pool and access to the beach makes Reges a winner. We will definitely be back. - It was nice to have a cafe on the property. I had a bagel but my daughter had a full breakfast and was happy with the food. We were pleased with everything. The room was basic but served its purpose.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Overall a very nice stay, hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel is very slightly outdated in terms of furnishings (for example the oven in our room and shower).
- Mohamed (10/5): Simply the best in the crest! - We have been staying at the reges on and off for the past 25 years, lots of great memories with our children. We love everything about this place.
- Wendy (8/5): Very good -
- Meet (8/5): - Clean hotel room with beautiful beach. The coffee in provided the room is not good.
- Jennifer (10/5): Incredibly Relaxing - Everything was great! Every room faces the ocean and has a private balcony. We were able to sleep with the sliding door open every night. The beds were very comfy and they were not stingy with pillows. The whole area is very calm and relaxing. A private beach area with volleyball. We got a lot of use out of the hot tub and pool. We enjoyed some ping-pong in the game room that's by the pool! On top of that room is a place to grill or just hang out. There's also a restaurant on the first floor. Open for breakfast and lunch. We ate there our first morning. It was really good! I think they also had something on the roof. Maybe lounge chairs? We didn't get a chance to check it out. They have a very detailed information sheet on the back of the room door. Unfortunately, I didn't take notice until our last day. We kept finding neat little things around the property. Overall a super nice hotel! Was so bummed to leave. That will be my go-to place to stay when I visit Wildwood again! The only thing that was a tiny bit frustrating was the TV wasn't a smart one. You need either a HDMI to phone cord or a USB to phone cord. They did have a Blu-ray player. You can get movies at the front desk. We didn't realize that until the last day because we kept overlooking that info sheet on the back of our room door. Lol! Definitely not a big deal. Just mentioning it so other people choosing to stay there will know to bring one of those cords.
- F5349ATjohnb (10/5): Good value!!! Clean and friendly - We stay at the Regis in May and October. Are stay is always pleasant. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. We stayed on the 4th, 6th and 8th floors and get a classic efficiency. The pool is heated in Oct 80 deg. And the hot tub is clean. Restaurant has good food. A good value and check out the specials.
- Suttmann (10/5): Needed to have a relaxing time off. This place provides exactly what you need - Location and view of ocean
- Francesco (10/5): Had a great time - Ocean weather
- gdr02 (10/5): Awesome time. - We came back to the Reges after 35 yrs in Cape May.This is where we started on the Jersey Shore. What an awesome experience. Our grandsons said it was better then our previous 15 yrs in Cape May.The rooms were great. The staff was awesome whether front desk or maintenance or maid service.. It was an awesome experience.Rooms great.Pool clean ,Grills experience.Good restaurant for breakfast and lunch.Pool open till 9 which was awesome. What a wonderful time.Rebooked for next year.
- Eileen (10/5): - The staff was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool and beach access were convenient especially with little kids.
- rickcorri (10/5): Nice place! Quiet peaceful stay! - We arrived to easy parking and easy check in. Our room was clean and quiet. Great ocean views! We walked right out to the beach no problem. We enjoyed breakfast downstairs in the morning and it was reasonably priced and delicious. My only advice is bring your snacks and soda or drinks. We had to walk to the hotel next door to get soda from a vending machine. Our hotels was empty. Otherwise perfect stay!
- Tammy (8/5): A girls weekend made perfect by the perfect hotel! - The location of the property is amazing with a great view of the ocean! We stayed in the standard efficiency and it was plenty of room and the full size fridge was very nice to have!
- Ashley (9/5): Superb - Not very walkable to restaurants, but overall we loved how quiet Wildwood Crest is compared to North Wildwood. Being right on the beach was excellent! Pool area was great with plenty of chairs, super clean pool, beautiful potted plants surrounding it. The rooms were somewhat dated, but exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely consider coming back here in the future. The staff was also great!
- Mary (8/5): - Was great spot l,great location, but the carpet smelled bad, so bad we had to buy a bottle of febreeze ourselves.
- Luis (10/5): Great -
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Getaway817719 (8/5): Weekend Getaway - The hotel is very nice. The pool is warm. The jacuzzi is very nice. The breakfast staff at the restaurant were great. The afternoon staff so/so. The only complaint I would have is that the bathroom is extremely small. Very outdated. The toilet paper roll is right on your lap.
- glentabor (10/5): Another great time at REGES OCEANFRONT - Wonderful hotel with experienced, friendly staff and cleaning people. Right on the ocean(albeit it's about 300 yards away as are all hotels in Wildwood Crest). Heated pool and nice jacuzzi, friendly restaurant staff too! Great breakfast each morning. Plenty of parking. Near tons of restaurants, try the Two Mile Crab house! Lobster House in Cape May was great also! Rooms are clean and large, kinda like a suite. Been here many times over the years and would enjoy coming back anytime!
- donna459 (10/5): The Perfect Shore Spot In Wildwood Crest - The Reges Resort is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy summer fun. These all beachfront family friendly updated rooms are large and airy. The pool is clean and warm. The rooms are spotless and the staff makes you feel at home. I highly recommend it!
- lorellah2021 (10/5): Reunion - Absolutely gorgeous place. Clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Will be there next year with the family for our reunion. Thanks for the use of the entire rec room and both refrigerator. The grills definitely came in handy for our salmon dinner
- 566janela (2/5): Don’t be fooled! It’s a dump! - My family came to this resort with super high hopes! After reading the Reviews the photos and speaking with the desk about the hotel we were sure it was going to be great! We booked an ocean front king suit. Sounds pretty good right!! Well it was soooo tiny with barely any room to move around.. The tub had this giant stain in the middle. Everything just seemed so dated and dirty!!!! How on earth is this place still open for business with all the FALSE advertisement!?!?!!! The photos make this hotel look modern but it is just a step up from a dump. We paid top dollar and what could have been a great experience turned into a nightmare. We couldn’t wait to get the hell out of there!
- Michael (10/5): - Wonderful facility. Love the room setup.
- drbaker1994 (10/5): Wonderful hotel, kind people - My husband and I chose the Reges to spend our 27th wedding anniversary. We took advantage of the harvest weekend package and couldn't be happier. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Our suite had everything you need. The package included diner for 2 and we chose Carinis as our restaurant and were very pleased with our delicious meal. Breakfast each day was delicious and so nice to not have to leave the hotel. On our second day there our car broke down and we were without a car. They allowed us to add an additional day to our stay even though the day we would check out was the last day of the season. They were also very compassionate to our stressful situation. Look forward to going back and staying at the Reges and to see more than the mile area around the hotel.
- Daniel (10/5): - Beautiful and quiet location. The property is very well maintained with excellent staff.
- AUnhappy (4/5): Small room - Granted we booked it late but the room that we got was unbelievably small. Family of 4 with teen kids should never be offered that room or explained better during booking that there is limited room (ex . No room to even put away my suitcase!) After questioning at the front desk their simple answer was “oh you got the regular motel room” really ?? Forgot to mention this while I was booking it and calling it a RESORT??! Please be careful and ask details they won’t tell you . Very overpriced not worth it I’m sorry . Resort next door much better and same price with a lot of room and kitchen . Also, needed update for sure - carpets should be out , not practical ( dirty) . Sorry just speaking a truth . However pool is really nice .
- JaniceP352 (6/5): Disappointed - I've stayed here four times and was always pleased. This year, not so much. In the past we had updated rooms.
The carpeting is nasty, thank goodness I had slippers. The room has a musty odor. Bedding is above average. Bathrooms are very tight. The 6th floor needs improvement. Considering we stay here for the view, pool and convenience to the beach I still would recommend it. The staff is very friendly.
I did not complain since all the rooms on our floor have the same carpeting and the resort was full
- rubyblue704 (8/5): Relaxing vacation - The Reges Resort is a great place for a relaxing trip. My family and I had a package deal which included breakfast every morning, 1 dinner from a choice of restaurants, a dolphin or whale watching excursion and a round of mini golf. The price was very reasonable. My DD loved the breakfast omelette choice each day. My DH & DD would go to the cafe and get takeout breakfast to eat in the room, while I set the table. The only problem was the inconsistency in the potatoes and the toast. Some days they were cooked perfectly, but others were not well done or overlooked. Otherwise the meals were very good. The hotel and pool area were kept very clean. Each day we placed our towels and trash outside the door with a list of what needed to be replaced and the clean items were placed in a bag just inside the room. The pool was a little cold, but it was early in the season. Most days it was fairly empty and quiet. On our last day it was much more crowded and noisy. We chose to do the dolphin watch trip and loved it. There were so many dolphins to see. We didn't use the mini golf passes because we went last year and we got so many bug bites from the swarms of bugs, we didn't want to do it again. Overall, we had a great time.
- tinamS8668II (2/5): Weird Smell in rooms and Car Dent BEWARE - We stayed at the Reges resort Father's Day weekend for 2 nights. This will be the 1st time here and our last unfortunately. My daughters feet were so dirty from the carpet. My husbands pillow case had black stains, bed and pillows so uncomfortable that even my kids complained. Our toilet just keep on running and kept me up the whole night. Our hair dryer was broken and the room had musky smell. We stayed on the 1st floor and it felt like you were in a basement. Our 2nd day there our car side door got dented int he parking lot. There spots are so tight together it is crazy they are allowed to even have that. Rooms are so dated.
- Kathyd62219 (10/5): Father's day weekend - Stayed at the Reges for Father's Day weekend. The hotel offered a family special that included breakfast each morning at their cafe a hot dog lunch on Saturday afternoon and a discount on dinner at selected restaurants. We were not disappointed. The ladies at check in were very nice. our room was huge with an ocean view and was spotless. This was our second time here but the first time taking advantage of the package deal. Breakfast at the Reges cafe was hot and delicious and plentiful. We choose to go to the Crab House for dinner and received $20 off each adult meal and $10 off our son's. My husband was thrilled with his weekend and we will be looking forward to next year. Won't be the last time we stay here. I highly recommend for families looking for a pleasant safe and clean place to stay in Wildwood Crest.
- 463teenad (10/5): Nice weekend stay. - The rooms at the Reges are a nice size and clean it is a three star hotel and as such I give it five stars. It was an ocean front suite with beautiful views at a decent price. The only minor negative is the room was very spacious but the bathroom was very small. I would 100% stay here again and recomend it to others. Tip: If you can't get reservations online call the hotel directly.
- Taken4ever (10/5): Can’t wait to go back - The place was very clean. Right on the beach. The pool is heated. There was always somebody walking around making sure the pool area is always clean. I have nothing but good things to say. The price for May are very reasonable
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Me and my family had a wonderful time, I would definitely go back again.
- carmy2010 (10/5): Outstanding Hotel - Every one there will help you with anything you need help with from your tv not working very good to the best deal for your stay. Their restaurant has very good food. You can not go wrong this was our first time and will be our go to place from now
- DANIELA (6/5): - First time here, the location is great!! Customer service not so friendly, although rooms could use am update they were clean and comfortable. I would not eat at the hotel restaurant all the food tates the same (no taste).
- Sheri (10/5): - It is a great location. Every room has beach front views. Its beautiful here. The weather was perfect for the first week of October.
- Niusha (4/5): - Dirty sheets. Smelly and dated room. Very small and old bathroom.
- Amanda (10/5): - Nice hotel, a little dated. Everyone was very friendly. Great location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location, so-so room. - The location is outstanding. The front desk staff is good.
Rooms are dated. Beds old with lumpy pillows. Couch not comfy to sit on.
But all that is doable when you can sit on the balcony and watch the waves. The pool area is great. Large pool that is clean.
- Robert (8/5): - I liked the way you can zone off rooms to keep some areas nice and cold and also keep noise out of the bedroom. This is particularly helpful with small children. I liked the proximity from the ocean. Very short walk!!! Pool could have been a little deeper.
- Gregg (8/5): - Oceanfront view was awesome. Pool area with hot tub and grills was very good set up and modern. Pool was closed while we were there but you could use the lounges and they did serve breakfast there as well. Older building but well maintained and very practical. Comfortable bed and kitchenette was nice to have.
- Marie (10/5): - Enjoyed my stay the staff was nice and it was clean
- Verified traveler (8/5): ocean view - Great view. Comfortable room.
- Mauritania (10/5): Family 👪 - Perfecto para estar en familia ❤
- Nancy (10/5): - Beautiful spacious room. Very clean and easy check in
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Haven’t stayed here in about ten years. Was very happy. Rooms have been upgraded, beds are comfortable, all rooms are oceanfront. Front desk staff was very nice. Lobby area very nicely kept up. Elevators come quickly.
- Nj (10/5): - Friendly, helpful staff. Nice pool and hot tub. Great views. We were there off season so it wasn't crowded. Having great weather helped.
- Ann (10/5): - We loved having a view of the ocean from our room! We also enjoyed swimming both in the pool and the ocean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was clean and friendly and the pool was open till 9 pm also it was heated. I didnt like that all the guest that book direct with the hotel recieved free breakfeast each morning and dinner vouchers. We missed out on them because we booked though travelocity. We know better for next time.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Did not care for the mattresses they were very uncomfortable
- Verified traveler (4/5): - So the place itself is nice, but these things will
make me not return:
1. Check in was overly protective of the hotel and onerous. To worried about parking more than one vehicle. Had to have EVERYONE sign for keys. Very rigid.
2. Keys didn’t work properly.
3. NO FREE COFFEE and the coffee at the adjoining restaurant (not apparently affiliated with the hotel) was $2.50 a cup and no free refills!
4. The lobby locks and closes at 9 pm.
5. Wouldn’t allow a late checkout on a SUNDAY.
It appears that this place is a place for yearly vacationers who like to get up early and put towels on their spots with a view of the beach (but never sit there) but not real friendly. We’ve stayed all over. At some of the best and some of the most homey. Some basic customer comes first training is warranted.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything excellent except the breakfast @ the hotel It was bad even the coffee the people In kitchen I don’t think they know what they doing
- STEPHANIE (10/5): - What a treasure of a place! My husband, 7-year old son fell in love with this hotel and cannot wait to return for a longer stay. The staff were extremely professional and friendly, the facility was immaculate, the beach was beautiful, and the pool-side diner made the best breakfast we had had in quite a while!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A little bit older hotel and rooms but very nice staff and gorgeous views! Beach is just outside and they have a great pool for kids. Laundry room is tiny but handy.
