Guest Reviews
- Tamara (5/5): Passable - Great location We thought we were getting a view. No view. Tiny pool. Super tight parking, hard to get in and out.
- Marques (9/5): Superb - Quiet and conveniently located. Felt like I was the only person staying here
- Grace (10/5): Quiet, clean and great location stay - Great location, close enough/walking distance to the Malecon, romantic zone and all the busy parts but still so quiet at night and noise wasn’t an issue. Front desk staff were so helpful and friendly, and the pool was also amazing. It gets midday- afternoon sun and was clean and basically private as no one else used it during our stay The only downside was a power outage for 2 hours when we first arrived but that wasn’t the properties fault! There was a thunderstorm and it came back on eventually so no complaints
- Chandayut (9/5): Nice little hotel for passing through - Private parking. The hotel is a few blocks from the malecon. The bed was really comfortable. Very nice staff. They don't have a coffee maker in room.
- Jacqueline (5/5): I would consider staying again when I had time to address the water issue. - Beautiful secure very nice place Shower temperature. I booked this room while on a cruise so we had somewhere to shower after a beach day before dinner, at my favorite restaurant 1 block away. Could not adjust the temp n the shower. Started out so cold that I was just going to try and tough it out. Then it got hot like too hot to rinse my hair it would have burned me. Tried rinsing with a bottle of water but that was all I had so I went to dinner with shampoo in my hair.
- Alanna (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (8/5): Very good - Clean, good location and comfortable. Room is bigger than expected. Reception staff, the lady was really nice but the man wasnt as friendly as her.
But overall very happy with the place.
- Gilles (10/5): Exceptional - First thing was the delightful and kind lady at the desk Marta...i asked if they could put a small fridge in my room and a short time later it was done. I liked the quietness of my room and everything was what I was hoping for. I will definitely be coming back next year! It would have nice if I could have left my small piece of luggage at the front desk for an hour or so without having to be charged $500 pesos...so I took my luggage with me when I checked out!
- Kamuda (9/5): Superb -
- Lorna (7/5): For the 2 nights we were there, it was OK - Great location, very roomy, comfortable bed, nice bathrooms The kitchen was very poorly equipped. It is advertised as a full kitchen, but there was very little that could actually be used to prepare a meal.
- Joseph (9/5): Great location, nice spacious clean rooms - Great location, nice spacious clean rooms No refrigrator in the room which is inconvenient. There is only hot water for tea available in the mornings.
- gordon (8/5): - Thought they had a juccizzi oh well the pool was a nice temperture
- Ashley (6/5): - The property is very basic but clean and the staff were lovely. Not great sound proofing so noisy. If you are a lighter sleeper, this wouldn't be for you. The value for price didn't feel aligned.
- Blanca (9/5): Superb -
- Colette (4/5): Try to find something better if you can. - The location in Centro, about three short blocks up from the malecón. Easy to walk everywhere.
The common spaces: the nice little lobby, the nice small pool area off the lobby, and the rooftop deck with a great view of the water. A nice place to bring some takeout and watch the sunset. I wanted this to be better because I booked this hotel at the last minute and I’m grateful that I was able to find it at the peak of high season with only two weeks notice. I had been in CDMX for six weeks and decided to stop in PV for a few days by the ocean before returning to the cold hard winter at home. But I have to be honest. I would never stay here again even if was the only place left available.
First of all, the wi-fi is TERRIBLE. There’s no excuse for this in 2025. This is a fixable problem and surely they are aware of it. Second, the walls between rooms are paper thin. The person in the room next to me had their TV on 24/7 and it was like it was on in my room, all the American game shows, crime dramas, and worst of all the two hour Trump speech. It was after I had returned for the evening and I had no escape. After that I just started wearing earplugs in my room for the rest of my stay. The final nail in the coffin was the crappy melting, slimy, gummy little bar of soap I had to wash my hands and shower with. Truly gross. One day I came back to the hotel and went in to use the washroom off the lobby, and discovered there was a bottle of liquid hand soap in there, so I took it up to my room. Well guess what? The next day when the maid came in to clean, she actually took it away! I mean, come on.
So maybe if you don’t plan to spend any time AT ALL in your room, and you bring your own soap with you, you might be glad to find this place at the last minute. But for me, I’ll give myself more lead time to find something better if I come back to PV.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Agathe (7/5): Good - The hotel is very well located and the facilities are nice i.e nice rooftop and pool.
The room was very spacious.
Nice balcony Personal was not very friendly.
Internet is working very poorly in the room.
- Starla (10/5): Exceptional - Smaller hotel which we loved. Very clean and modern. Staff was very helpful and location was perfect in Centro. Also very quiet. Beds very comfortable. The wifi was terrible except for at pool. Pool wasn’t heated. Wish they offered complimentary water jugs on each floor to refill water bottles as they do at other hotels. Also complimentary coffee in the am(not instant) would be nice.
- Wendy (8/5): We stayed 2 weeks and would stay there again - Location and cleanliness The kitchen wasn’t very well stocked
And one air conditioner wasn’t working properly
- Alejandro (8/5): Good location, noisy, angry staff. - I liked the location from the hotel. I did not like the attitude from the man who is at the front desk. He looked tired or angry at times. It is not a good attitude from the front desk staff. I totally dislike him. The price is expensive for the uncomfortable beds, quite hard to sleep. There was a lot of noise at nights, you are not able to sleep properly. If you requiere something is not possible because the front desk is gone at 11 pm. Not to mention the woman at the same place had a really nice and friendly attitude, totally different from the man called israel. Cold water is not an option when you want to wash your hands. It doesn’t flow well.
- Melissa (6/5): Pleasant - The hotel had a beautiful modern feel The beds could be softer and there was a lot of noise both from the street and from the hallway
- Chris (9/5): Enjoyed the stay - There was no breakfast available Cheaper
- Dariia (5/5): Good value for the price, but some renovation is required - The personnel is really pleasant and welcoming, also it’s close to the Malecon The place requires renovation, especially bathroom. Also noise isolation is not great, we would hear our neighbours listening to music and sometimes even talking, as well as some karaoke happening nearby.
- Juliane (9/5): Highly recommend! - Very clean and secure hotel with helpful and professional staff. Comfortable bed, and perfect for our needs.
- Nicole (6/5): Pleasant - Nice clean room. Great view from rooftop patio. Great tacos around the corner at Alex birria. Little store beside it to buy bananas etc. Close to malecon (two to three blocks up from senor frogs restaurant). Around the corner from pipis restaurant. We found it quite noisy at night...Street traffic and barking dogs.
- Kathy (10/5): - Amazing staff! Always look forward to going back.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Todd (7/5): Good basic lodging - Good location.
Great hot water
Comfortable bed Very basic, no refrigerator, no cups.
- Jose (8/5): Very good -
- Grace (6/5): - Pros: The location was very good, we were in the middle of downtown PVR, close and walkable to many restaurants, markets, clubs and bars, etc. The pool was nice and enjoyable. View was nice too. Also the lady at the front desk in the mornings was very kind and helpful.
Cons: wifi was very poor and spotty, the shower water pressure was very weak. The man working the desk in the evenings was cold and rude (did not respond to greetings and was the least friendly person we met in our whole trip) but still asked for tip. The bathrooms did not get cleaned during the stay and towels only get changed once every three days.
Minor inconveniences: thin blankets, limited outlets, no kettle in room.
- Huei Hsien Phyllis (6/5): - Convenient location. Pleasant staff but limited knowledge to help with tourist needs. Facilities in need of better maintenance and immediate repair. Noisy location due to poor sound proofing
- Norma (8/5): Comfortable room, nice view, quiet - Room was spacious. Bathroom updated Room was sparse - no closet to hang clothes, no hooks at the sink to hang a toiletry bag or towel.
- Catherine (8/5): Overall it was a great experience - Beautiful and great location No in room amenities and cable tv didn’t work
- Michele (10/5): A wonderful place to stay that came through on short notice - Clean and great location. Staff was wonderfully helpful
- Melissa (10/5): Super enjoyable experience for our one-night stay. Comfortable beds, again, really friendly and attentive staff, and gre - Clean, super friendly and helpful staff, and spacious for my group! Great amenities, and a great location to walk around and explore. We liked the property!
- nevin (6/5): - We stayed in a twin room. For the price and location, it was good. A short walk to the Malecón and easy to get to.
There’s a few indoor parking spots available. We didn’t use.
Staff at the front desk were very nice
The rooms itself were basic and had the necessities. The beds were in the softer side. Expect some road noise at night and also from the bar nearby.
Overall happy with the stay. If you’re looking for a basic and affordable accommodation that’s convenient, I’d recommend this.
- Dimitri (7/5): Good -
- Vadym (7/5): The hotel is great for a short stay. - The location is great. The staff (especially the woman sitting at the reception (sorry, I don't know your name) was always helpful and tried to solve all the problems. There was no wardrobe in the room. The water pressure in the shower was simply terrible.
- Leah (8/5): Elegant boutique hotel close to Malecon - One of the cleanest hotels I've ever seen. This is an elegant, modern boutique hotel. Tasteful decor in lobby, hallways, room. Great pool (the smaller part is not a hot tub, fyi, but slightly warmer than main pool). Pool area was so pleasant to lounge in. Fast elevator. Spacious, comfortable rooms. AC worked well. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Fantastic location, close to the Malecon and countless restaurants. Nice balcony to take in the views. We would definitely return. For the price, we would've appreciated some kind of fridge in the room and better coffee. There exists a station with instant coffee and hardened sugar on the second floor. So many cafes in the area, not a big deal. Beds/pillows firm. Distinct yet tolerable odour of sewage gas emitting from the shower drain. Small complaints within a pleasant overall experience (◍•ᴗ•◍)
- Rachel (9/5): Great location, friendly staff - If you're interested in staying near the Malecon, this is a great spot. Just 3 blocks to the strip. I loved walking along the ocean every day and would eat dinner in the Zona Romantica and then stroll back to my room in the warm evening. The room is simple but comfortable, the staff friendly and the location great. I would have LOVED a refrigerator in my room to keep some cool drinks but there is a corner store just next do the hotel so it's easy to pick up a cold drink there.
- Maya (6/5): It’s good for the price but I bet I could find better… - The area is close to everything, walkable and cute. There’s a market right next-door. The water in the shower was hot. The beds were comfortable. The pillows were really nice. The balcony is super cute and the view was great. Marta was super sweet and helpful. Super convenient to stores like Woolworths and OXXO, close to the boardwalk walking distance to the romantic zone. Cute restaurants everywhere great tacos around the corner. The price and the view were great!! The first day there we had an issue with the toilet, the night attendant Israel wasn’t the most accommodating and I understand there’s a language barrier so I’m sure some of that was our problem and fault. Also, the advertisement says heated pool…It is not . It is cold and when I asked him about this, he was kind of rude. There’s no phone in the room and no fridge in the room. The walls are paper thin we could hear our neighbors talking all night. We had another issue with the toilet and it took the maintenance guy two hours to fix it and he only came because we were leaving the hotel and would not leave our key which makes no sense because it was like 6 o’clock and at 11 the gate close. Aside from the night attendant being rude most of the issues were fixable immediately however, the walls being super thin made sleeping kind of hard.
- Luis (9/5): Superb -
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heather (8/5): Very good - Location close to the center. Walkable. Good sized room. Overpriced.
- Olalde (7/5): Good enough to rest and to go out and explore the town. - The location is great. Close to the Malecon. The ac unit is old and didn’t really work properly.
- Tatiana (10/5): Definitely would stay here again! - We were in the center of Malecon which made it perfect
- Jose (9/5): Superb -
- Allan (10/5): - Very nice property. Super clean bathroom. Bed soft, clean. Parking is limited to a few spots though. Safe.
- Juan (7/5): Good - Good location, 4-5 blocks from malecon. Some floor tiles were loose.
- Julian (6/5): Pleasant - Location and parking The AC unit kept dripping condensation and staff pretended like it never happened before.
- Nancy (9/5): Superb -
- Gonzalez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jazmin (9/5): Our stay was very comfortable. - Location . N/A
- Vicente (6/5): - I thought the property was average at best but they did have excellent customer service - they were very friendly to my family. The facilities were average and the rooms were average at best. We were only at the hotel for a couple of hours and decided to leave for another hotel that had availability closer to the beach / malecon. The hotel didn’t meet the needs of my family but may fit the needs if yours. Either way, not a terrible experience but wouldn’t stay there in the future with a larger family like mine.
- Divya (9/5): Superb -
- Sergio (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was professional, polite, and courteous. The hotel was extra clean. The pool is perfect. We stayed in room 13. At night, there was a persistent humming sound that was not loud but was just annoying. Perhaps the sound originates from the next-door AC system and vice-versa.
- Heather (9/5): Superb - I liked the location of the hotel. The place was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was construction going on but that is not the hotels fault.
- Kamaria (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay here, the room was clean and comfortable. There is plenty of space for two people. The hotel is very close to Malecón boardwalk and lots of restaurants in Zona Romántica. Walking distance to the beach and staff was very friendly. This is a “no frills” hotel so just expect the basics, but it’s a great value and very safe.
- Enriquez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (9/5): Simple, clean, newish, no frills, good value, helpful staff - Clean, good location, nice pool , balcony Could’ve had real coffee instead of instant.
But not a big deal.
- Christina (7/5): Good - The noise was a factor when the neighbor had their TV on. I could hear every single word. It's not a quiet hotel internally. staff, cleanliness and location was great
- Marilyn (9/5): Would stay again!! - The location was perfect for getting to all the fun areas on foot- the Malecon, Zona romantica, good restaurants OFF the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful when we asked for extra towels and such. Pool area quiet and unpopulated. The ONLY thing our room needed was a mini-fridge so we could store leftovers and cold drinks.
- Paola (10/5): Exceptional -
- Korey (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (5/5): The good and the bad - It looked nice . Attractive furnishings in the reception area. Great patio—could see the ocean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Good selection of tv channels. Clean. They need to put a drain pipe vent. The shower drain smelled awful like sewage most of the time as they need to put a vent in. We covered the drain with towels and a garbage can to try and keep the smell away. It was really bad. Also could use some real coffee rather than instant. Would be even better to put coffee pots in the rooms. Need more lighting in the rooms and more electrical outlets.
- Lark (4/5): - The lighting was garish. No lamps for mood lighting. No outlets next to the bed to charge phones. Loud and echoing. Toilet needed fixing. Bathroom door didn’t latch. No privacy barriers between balconies. They offered coffee in the hallway in the morning, but it was instant, without cream or even artificial creamer.
- Kyler (8/5): Good location and staff, below average wifi. - Good location in Centro, walkable to bars and restaurants and the beach. Cute pool. Helpful staff and felt safe with security. Room was clean and had good AC. The wifi is the rooms is not great. If you’re working remotely at all and need to take a video call you have to go down to the lobby.
- Strom (10/5): We will be back. Awesome staff! - Safe, beautiful, clean, location is central! Nothing.. but maybe a warmer hot tub temp.
- Robert (9/5): Superb - Some street noise and loud karaoke but didn't last long
- Jane (9/5): Great location. Clean, safe hotel with great staff. - The location was great. Very walkable. Very clean room and friendly, helpful staff. Not all rooms had a mini-fridge and the Internet could be slow.
- José (10/5): I will come back again - The workers are so friendly and very attentive to our needs. I got a special request for valentines, and they make it happen (free of charge) N/A
- Cliff (8/5): Very good -
- Eric (2/5): Very poor - Very very loud ....like sleeping right on the sidewalk ,......the bed felt like the sidewalk
- Kathleen (10/5): - The staff at the property were amazing! I asked for a mini-fridge and had it delivered to my room within minutes. The front desk staff are super friendly and the room cleaning crew will actually remember you from previous stays. Will absolutely go back!
- Joli (6/5): Not returning here. - Size of the room. Tv and internet. Melacon is 3 blocks from the hotel. Satisfied with the cleaning. The street side rooms very noisy but we were able to change to the poolside room. The walls are thin? You could hear the neighbors are talking. Bathroom is dark, the price is not matching what you get.
- Liliane (8/5): - Very calm at night. Close to the beach and good restaurants. Nice breeze. No need for air conditioning. The suite is large and very nice with a balcony, two complete bathrooms but the hide a bed is not confortable at all. The floors should be cleaned on a more regular basis.
- Anjana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harold (8/5): I had a very good stay at the facility. - Convinent location.
Clean facility.
Friendly staff. Poor lighting in the room and bathroom.
No telephone in the room.
- Cora (10/5): - Our stay at Blaze was perfection! Our suite was large, well appointed, and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was convenient and well enjoyed by our kids, albeit a bit cold - we didn’t mind. Just a couple of blocks from the malecon and perfectly situated for a relaxing holiday. I have no doubt we will be back! Thanks Blaze hotel and staff for a wonderful week!
- Xiaoxin (9/5): Superb -
- Ursula (8/5): Very good -
- Ana (10/5): Great place to stay at affordable price - Clean, good size and friendly staff. Right at the center of Valllarta You can hear the cars of the main avenue but for us it was not a problem as we can sleep without any issues.
- Waqas (7/5): Basic stay in PV - The location was excellent, big rooms with comfy beds. The staff is nice too for the most part and would help you out if you have any questions. There is a lot of noise from other guests and the street. I was so tired every afternoon and tried to take a nap but it was impossible with so much noise. They need to upgrade their windows to give more quiet experience to the guests. The swimming pool is basically useless in winters months, although it’s warm in PV but the swimming pool water is too cold and there’s a lot of shade in that area so can’t really enjoy. Lastly, there’s no facilities in the hotel, I really wish there was a kettle in the room, some snack vending machine and some other facilities. It’s a very basic room in case that’s all you need.
- Sara (8/5): Very good - Location is amazing and hotel is on side streets so it stays very quiet at night while being within walking distance of everything . Very friendly staff Not a lot of character in the design of the space but it checks all the boxes with safety, comfort and location
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Jessi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Love2travel4th (8/5): Great location - Beds, balconey overlooks downtown, and ours also overlooked the sea. roof top patio, pool area. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful for getting extra pillows and also glasses to make a cocktail. decor is plain, have a large purified water bottle on the main floor for everyone to use instead of the small bottles to save plastic well.
- Joanne (7/5): A small boutique hotel close to malecon, not close to good swimming areas or zona romantica. Friendly staff, but not ab - Very nice lobby, pool area. It was too noisy. I asked to change to a quieter/inside room and was not offered a room until I posted question on booking site. They moved me immediately, but the room was not as nice and did not have a safe. I had told them I was not as comfortable as I hoped and was considering checking out early. I asked if I could have a partial refund if I checked out early. I was told that was not possible. I’ve never had a problem with that from other hotels. I decided to eat the last two nights because I found a better all inclusive deal on booking.
- Guadalupe (9/5): Superb -
- Dave (9/5): Superb -
- Meimei (8/5): Very good -
- Zeinab (9/5): Great and comfortable stay - Very comfortable stay for us.
The room was clean. AC was working great. The bed was very comfortable.
The location is very good, walking distance to everything.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
One of the few hotel in downtown with a parking which was great.
We had a fridge in the room. Some stuff mentioned in the listing wasn’t there. No Safe in the room, or hairdryer. I didn’t really mind.
Some noise at night. There was a dog in the building that was barking at night. Also I could hear water dripping somewhere in the wall. Nothing big but the sound was annoying at night.
- Danna (10/5): Exceptional - Location it’s not too far from the malecón. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Danna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (4/5): The staff were very friendly .The rooms are needing closets to hang stuff up. - The location is close to the beach.
The pool is nice. The room had no closets .
There was no where to hang clothes or towels .
Not enough plug ‘ins for phones iPads laptop.
The a/c didn’t keep the room cold enough.
Needs a ceiling fan to push the air around more.
- Matthew (4/5): Disappointing -
- Lisa (7/5): Dependable hotel near the Malecon. - Very dependable. Comfortable, safe, clean, AC and wifi both worked well. Would stay again. Booked very last minute due to airbnb mishap, staff at hotel were very helpful. Quiet on a Saturday night despite being a couple blocks from the Maleco however, we were out and didn't return to the hotel until about 3am
- Maria (7/5): Good -
- Ernesto (10/5): Exceptional - Location is great Area is perfect.
