- David (9/5): Pretty nice hotel, but not a great location and a bit inattentive staff - Beautiful building, clean rooms, laundry service, airport transportation When we arrived at 3am, driver let us in, but we were dying of thirst and could not find any water. I eventually found the kitchen and helped myself to some water. We were the only guests there in the 5 days, and we didn't see any staff until we tried to leave but found the gate locked. I called the number and it turns out a staff member was there in the room by reception, and he gave us a gate key. Breakfast is included, but it was just sitting in the dining room for who knows how long, and we were never offered anything freshly cooked like eggs. The maid was nice but for some reason liked to move around our stuff, mixing it all up for no reason. We needed daily fresh towels due to 100% humidity, but they were not replaced daily with the cleaning.

- Mia (10/5): Highly recommend! - The couple who runs this hotel is very lovely and did everything to make my stay comfortable. The room was very large, had a nice view, was very pretty and clean. The property is very quiet and there is nice space outside to enjoy the garden. The breakfast was varied and very good. The owner drove me to the airport at 4 am for my early morning flight. I would definitely stay here again. There are many stairs to get up to the property, so it could be difficult if you have any mobility issues.

The staff were fantastic (Joaquin was an excellent host). The breakfasts were delicious. While situated a little outside the city center, it’s more calm for that. Plus the teleférico station is super close by and gets you into the city easily. An excellent start to our stay in La Paz! Nothing.

- Grace (9/5): Superb - The staff are very friendly, the breakfast and coffee are really good too. We liked that the property was quite secluded with a little garden and terrace. The room was extremely clean, bright and nicely decorated. Large clean bathroom. Quiet staff and guests. The area of the property entrance may be a little dodgy in the dark. We were charged 110bs for a small bag of laundry which is extremely overpriced for La Paz, we think it shouldn’t have been more than 40bs. We had to wait quite a while to check out as there was nobody in at the hotel who could help.
- Ignacio (10/5): A quiet oasis in La Paz! - I am a Reflexologist and I was looking for a quiet place in La Paz to relax , this small hotel was really comfortable and quiet. The rooms are clean and spacious and the view of the hills from my room was good! The staff was amazingly super helpful! Plenty of rooms for a large family gathering! Breakfast was good! Juaquin, Alicia and Oscar went out of their way to make us feel right at home! I will return with my grand children on my next trip to La Paz and I'm sure they will be as pleased as I was during my stay! There are some steps that you have to walk up to get to the hotel, not to bad for the location, the beautiful garden that awaits you when you get to the property makes you forget the short walk up and overall quietness makes it worth it!

- Irina (9/5): Almost like an oasis in the desert (only small suggestions for improvement) - The Qhini hotel was exceptional, the owners are really wonderful. We booked a room very spontaneously because we got food poisoning and needed a place to rest until we feel better. Because of this we could not enjoy the beautiful outdoors of the hotel, but we would have loved to do so. We were offered lots of tea and even vegan breakfast after we asked for it. Additionally, they have super cute pets :) The family room was advertised as having a nice view of the city and garden, but the view was actually not that good, mainly just of other houses. Also, I would have liked better communication regarding the cost of additional services. When we checked in, we were offered to cook a vegan meal. When we asked later about it, we were told that unfortunately the chef was not available right now, but we could send him a message. The chef said he would not be around to cook anything, but offered to bring a vegan burger from a restaurant he had tried a few days ago. We gladly accepted, because we really didn't want to go out because we didn't feel very well. We expected it to be an alternative to the home-cooked dinner we had actually asked for, which the hotel offers at a fixed price. In the end, we had to pay for the burgers, of course, but additionally also for the "delivery service", even quite a lot, which was not communicated and which we definitely did not expect. Originally we were going to eat at the hotel, and it wasn't our fault that the chef wasn't available. When we checked out, even when I include the cost of the delivery service, I felt and still feel that the amount we paid was a bit high. The owner went over all the billing items with me, but only verbally and way too quickly and we did not get a copy of the bill. I didn't want to get upset about any BOBs at the time, but maybe it's just better to hand out invoices to improve transparency.

- Chloe (10/5): Home from home - The family who run this hotel are all very kind and helpful. They picked me up from the airport during the early hours, making my first introduction to Boliva such a warm and welcoming experience! The hotel is as lovely as pictured, the room is immaculate and has a heater, and the bed is super comfortable. The breakfast is delicious with coffee, tea, coca leaves if needed, fruit, bread, eggs, fresh juice, yoghurt etc. A lovely stay for my first visit to South America! The hotel is a little bit out of the action but taxis are cheap and it is right by the teleferico so not too much of an issue.

Our family of 6 ( 4 teens) had the best hotel in la paz , i do believe. I do hope that they have many , many more years of success. little tidbits: The property is a beautifully restored and maintained. Amazing views of the city and close to the teleforica ( 300 steps). A little white cat prowls around and that loves to visit in the rooms =) the kids loved it. My fear is that the next time we travel to La Paz, is that will not be able to find rooms at Qhini Hotel.

A hot water shower with a very large room and comfortable bed was a big plus. The hotel was as beautiful as it was spotless. It was also out of the city center and quite! Close enough to walk to restaurants and a very safe neighborhood. They also provide transportation to and from the airport for about $20

- Leigh (10/5): - We had such a nice stay at this hotel. The hotel arranged pick-up for us late at night when we arrived to La Paz by bus. They helped us with transportation during our stay as well as the hotel is in the south and a bit far from the center. I like that the hotel was in the south as the elevation was not as high as other parts of La Paz. The room was nice, clean, warm, and comfortable. It had enough space for two twin beds and for 2 people to move around. The shower was wonderful! Lots of water pressure and very warm water. The family that runs the hotel was SO NICE. They helped us get around, figure out places to visit. They recommended some FANTASTIC restaurants (Gustu and Ali Pacha), as well as some coffee shops to check out in the center. We felt welcome and comfortable. I hope I get to go back to La Paz so I can stay here again.

- Martha (10/5): STAY HERE!! - This place is the best! It's a hidden gem. If you go to La Paz, STAY HERE. This is a family-run place, and they will treat you like you are part of their family. Oscar, Alicia, and their children run a top-notch establishment. Anything you need, they will help out with. They were willing to give us rides all over the city, even though there are plenty of places within walking distance near the hotel. Fun fact: Qhini is a type of potato that grows in Bolivia. That's where the name comes from. I miss everything about this place. The food in La Paz is incredible. You can ask Oscar and Alicia for recommendations, or go to places that are already rated. Really, you can't go wrong. I think I've been slightly depressed since coming back. What a great trip--and marvelous hotel!!

I've been to thousands of hotels in my life while traveling, but this hotel is amazing should be a 5-star hotel for sure. The price you pay no comparison to what it's worth it. - Brian (10/5): Excellent family-run boutique hotel near transit - What a nice place - the family who runs this boutique hotel is caring and attentive, making sure that anything you need while you're in the city is taken care of. The hotel is quite comfortable with stylish rooms, well made beds, and decent showers. Note that the hotel is very close to the public transit (teleferico) lines, but that it's quite a climb up stairs from the hotel to the teleferico. It's super convenient to be so close, but be aware at this altitude the climb can go slowly!

It is a family run business who are catering to your every need. The rooms a ver comfortable with new amenities and comfy bed amd great water pressure. They have beautiful terraces with seating and amazing views of La Paz. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a fair priced and quiet hotel not far from downtown this is a perfect choice.
