- adella (10/5): - We went there with no plans because it was forecasted to rain a lot. But it didn’t rain that much and the staffs there helped us arranged our itinerary. They suggested us where to go, helped us booked tickets and transport. There was also free transport to/from Yangshuo city center. Overalls all the staffs were friendly, so helpful and able to speak English very well. If you download Wechat, they will help you even before your stay. The room we booked was the largest and it was very spacious for 4 adults and 2 kids. The room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was included in our stay and we had a choice of Guilin noodles soup or western breakfast. There was also vegetarian options. They were delicious and cooked them fresh for you! We had a wonderful time staying here!

- Pam (10/5): - This hotel is out of town and is very quiet. You can walk or ride a bike and a quiet road running by the hotel. The facilities are spacious, clean, and well-kept up. A shuttle is provided to get into town at any time. The hotel staff is friendly and very helpful. They booked tickets to the Impressions show and provided a ride to and from the event. I had a massage in my hotel room which the staff booked for me. And, the food! So good! It’s unusual because it isn’t Chinese food. We love Chinese food, but this restaurant has outstanding selections from all over the world. It was a nice change during our stay in China—pizza, chicken cordon bleu, a baguette sandwich, and even a hamburger and French fries. Try the fruit smoothies, too. Out of this world! You won’t be disappointed with your stay here.

- Cameron (10/5): One of the best... - This hotel is one of the best ones I have ever had the pleasure to stay at. I stayed for 6 nights and wanted to stay longer. The facilities are excellent. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are amazing. Such great value for luxury. The free shuttle is a bonus. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I would definitely stay here again.

- Anita (10/5): Best hotel to stay in Yangshuo - 1. Beautiful (tranquil scenery) stay at Bamboo Leaf hotel which is just a short walk /free shuttle from the noisy busy tourist resort downtown. 2. English speaking reception staff are very helpful with tourist advice and transport questions 3. Comfortable beds and great rain shower option 4. Wow- finally a China hotel which washes laundry for ¥20/kg (rather than ¥20 per item) 5. Great included breakfast and coffee

- Luke (8/5): Couple travelling china - Good stay but very busy, not enough chairs or loungers around the pool for guests. Also adveritsed jacuzzi hot tub pool was drained with a hole in it. The room and staff were amazing though and a fantastix peaceful location, gentle stroll into the town.
- Amanda (10/5): Great relaxing hotel - I was quite pleased to have found this hotel to stay for my trip to Guangxi after the LiJiang river cruise. I stayed for 3 days in June 2021 and would highly recommend this to others. The hotel is very foreigner-friendly and both the location and restaurant were great. As for the location - it's a bit removed from the downtown and I say that in a good way. You feel like you are literally right in the mountains which is more peaceful than staying downtown. That being said, it's still only a 20 minute walk to downtown. The service was great; the staff called me the day before my check-in and sent me the location on WeChat which was very helpful. The staff is friendly and very helpful if you need help arranging anything. The restaurant on the 6th floor was great; food was fantastic, service excellent; they were very accommodating. To the point where after seeing me not eat the toast with my breakfast for 2 days, on the 3rd they offered me more vegetables or eggs in-lieu of toast. I speak a decent amount of Chinese but their English was better than my Chinese. Note - I usually try to eat local food but after a year and a half here in China I was very happy to eat some high-quality Western style meals. I really enjoyed my time here and highly recommend to everyone and especially foreigners.

Free shuttle to downtown area very convenient, but walking also a good option (15mins via riverside walkway).Breakfast was great. Will stay again.

I reserved the corner suite and took full advantage of the bathtub. The 6th floor is the restaurant and management was so kind to give me a birthday cheesecake. Delicious breakfast, big salads and juicy burgers! It is one of the best cheesecakes I’ve tried in China. The pool and billiards table are on the 2nd floor. And front desk was able to book my private transfer vehicle from the hotel to Guilin Airport cheaper than Didi. Take full advantage of their shuttle service into the city center. Nice and quiet, great place to unwind while only being 5 minute drive from the center. 100% stay there again!

I stayed in one of the corner rooms and everything exceeded my expectations. Fine bedding and towels, an amazing bath tube (which proved very useful after a day of hiking), the rainfall shower very warm strong. Everything felt newly built and with very good taste. To wrap up the staff was always trying to make sure I had everything I needed, from bottles of water to flexible transfer times to hired tours. I absolutely recommend this property.

Driver was helpful and nice .We also enjoyed the seasonal passion fruit provided at the front desk. Had Scooters rental for RMB80. Was fun to ride the scooter. Nice clean room and huge bathroom. We enjoyed our stay and recommend to those who want a relaxing vacation should stay at this hotel. It was a good memory for our 30th anniversary..
- Trevor (10/5): A different sort of hotel - stay there. - Staff are magnificent, nothing was too much trouble and they were very helpful arranging our river cruise, raft trip, paramotor flight and the Yungsahou evening show. Shuttle service into town also good and really enjoyed the food. Very quiet location away from the hectic and busy town but also only a few minutes drive to the action.Like it a lot, somewhere a bit different from other mainstream hotels. Swimming pool a welcome bonus. One thing to note - there were no wardrobes in the two rooms we booked. Not a problem for us and there are some hooks provided. Such a great place that this was absolutely no big deal. Will be back next year, love it.

- Noel (10/5): Loved this hotel - The room was very clean and very beautiful. We had a short time to spend in Yangshuo, but with the help of the front desk we were able to do all the activities we wanted to do. The front desk people spoke English and provided free shuttle to the town and activities that we booked through them at no extra charge. Their breakfast was excellent. The location is not the in the middle of town, but on a hill which made it possible to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Yangshuo, and the quietness of the village. When you arrive to Yangshuo, give them a call and they will come to pick you up.

As we are active walkers and the walk is along the river, we enjoyed the walks. There are free shuttles provided by the hotel. Really recommend to hire the mountain bikes that the hotel provides which are in a good state and drive around the recommended area. Love the fact that they have an environment friendly focus. Would go back to this hotel.

- Tom (10/5): fantastic hotel with wonderful staff - We had a fantastic stay at the Bamboo Leaf in August when the town of Yangshuo was incredibly busy, and it was the perfect home from home to come back to and relax after a tiring day of fighting through the crowds. The hotel is just outside the main town, which is the ideal location really - the town is far too loud at night so you definitely don't want to stay there! The food at the hotel is great, the pool is amazing and most importantly the staff are incredibly friendly and will do anything to help you. We felt so lucky to have found this place and hope we can come back some time!

The hotel has a pool table and the swimming pool was just what we needed to cool off. The hotel provides bikes and scooters for hire. We took a scooter for the day - lots of fun. Breakfast was good, other meals okay. There is a shuttle bus to town, although we walked the beautiful path along the river.

We loved eating on the balcony. Our only sadness was that the hot tub was not working...haha. We could have used that after a day of hiking. I hope I am fortunate enough to return some day.
- Rob (10/5): Comfy New Hotel in Yangshuo - We were very impressed with the room in this newer (one year old] hotel close to (but not in) Yangshuo. High quality linens, thick and fluffy towels, modern finishes, big fancy bathroom, nice pool. A short walk (20 minutes?) to downtown, or a regular shuttle if you prefer. Good quality mountain bikes for rent (50 rmb/day). The weather was wet for a couple of the days we were there, and unfortunately the mosquitos love this, so be prepared (not just at this hotel, but everywhere in Guilin / Yangshuo.
- RBG (10/5): - Wonderful small hotel in quiet countryside with smiling, helpful staff. The rooms are luxurious and carefully designed, with spare, tasteful furnishings and excellent bath and AC. Food great, Chinese and Western, 10+ minutes walk into Yangshuo, staff will drive to and from airport and anywhere else. A special place, and a real find!
- Nina (8/5): Great place in Yangshuo - Comfortable room with 2 queen sized beds was great for my family (2 adults and 1 child) we stayed 5 nights. It is a 20 minute walk down into the town along the river which we enjoyed. It is in a quiet location with a lovely view. We hired good quality mountain bikes from the hotel and my son enjoyed swimming in the pool (although it was unheated so a bit chilly for me!) The only negative is that the bathroom smelt of mold which is surprising for a new hotel. Regardless of this I think it is one of the better places to stay in Yangshuo

- SARA (10/5): Awesome staff and beautiful hotel! - Our stay at this hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved that they had a free shuttle service to the city. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the city center which is great because it's peaceful outside. Feya at the reception area went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. She was ready to assist us with any questions or with any help we needed. Ten stars to her!! We had dinner once and breakfast twice; it was decent and some of the food in the menu was catered to westerners. The hotel was very clean and eco friendly. We could hear some pigs outside at night, but once we closed the balcony door it was fine. If I were to visit Yangshuo again I would definitely come to Bamboo Leaf again; I highly recommend it!! You won't be disappointed =D

- S & A (10/5): Serenity Serenity Serenity - We stayed two nights in this "home based" hotel. It is away from the city, but if you fancy a leisure stroll, hotel is about 45 minute walk to West Street. Note: hotel does provide free shuttle to West Street. As it is in the suburbs, nature is the primary ingredient surrounding our dwelling. You wake up to fresh air and green mountains. Nevertheless, there are incidents that are beyond the control of the hotel. Owing to the fact that it is in the suburbs, it is also surrounded by local farmer dwellings. In our second day, there was a funeral ritual in one of the local dwellings and it is their custom to "celebrate" the longevity of the deceased. As such, there is constant burning of fire crackers, singing and drum beatings - throughout the whole day and night. Regarding hotel staff, they are very friendly, pleasing to serve and speaks pretty good English. But do not expect the same formalities as in other "professional" hotels. Example: no uniforms and they talked among themselves in a louder than normal tone. Other than that, you will enjoy your stay as long as you like nature and prices, whether is meals , massage, mini bar or hotel, they are reasonable.

It's located just close enough to walk or take their free shuttle service. The staff was so incredibly helpful and friendly. It's a definitely a gem! Make sure to venture out of the downtown area and see the surrounding sites. The landscape is truly special and breathtaking.
- Tif (10/5): Best place in China - Yangshuo wins China and The Bamboo Leaf wins Yangshuo. The hotel is exceptionally beautiful and comfortable. The location is perfect, in the quiet countryside with mountain views, only a 5 minute bike ride or a quick shuttle ride away from town -- the shuttle which they provide free of charge. The Bamboo Leaf has thought of every convenience and are super accommodating for English speakers. There are English-language movies on their television. You can rent bikes from the hotel for cheaper than you can get them in town. The food in the restaurant is yummy and affordable. The staff are extremely kind and helpful.

- C (10/5): Great stay for family - We stayed at the Bamboo Leaf for 3 nights with our 3 children (ages 4, 5, & 9) over the winter holiday. The adjoining room with bunk was perfect for the 3 kids. The restaurant was comfortable and the kids found plenty to eat. The rooms were clean and well-appointed. Would happily recommend to others visiting the area.
- don (10/5): - This brand new hotel is appointed with beautiful fixtures and quality products. It offers all the comfort you could hope for. Location is excellent a 5min bike ride from town it’s quiet yet so close to the action. The staff are friendly and will help organise any tours you want. If you get the Li River cruise into Yangshuo then just walk to the right when you get off the boat (the opposite way to everyone else) follow the path and you will be at the hotel in 5-7 mins. It’s that easy.

Hotel staff is efficient and English is widely spoken. Really enjoyed the breakfast offerings especially the freshly squeezed juices which is included with your meal. Hotel is nicely decorated with a bamboo theme throughout the facility. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Yangshuo.

The bathroom was likely the nicest I've seen in any hotel. The food was good in the cafe, although breakfast was not included with the room. I highly recommend this gem.
