• Maria (6/5): - There was nothing wrong with the accommodations, it was clean and oceanfront. The pictures of the beachfront have not been updated to depict the real oceanfront. There is no beachfront, no way to access it from the property. Large sandbags are in place. DO NOT book a first floor, because the only thing you’ll see is the sandbags as a view.

• LORI (8/5): Beware of the job you signed on for - First, the view: Extraordinary! Hearing waves a big plus! Second, the beach: useless! Sandbags prevented enjoyment for any but the young and fit. Third,the service: NON EXISTENT! Surprises to learn that WE were the housekeeping staff required to remove and transport all linens and trash to 2 different locations down 4 flights without so much as a bag for laundry by 10 am check out time. At this price point: unacceptable!

• Verified traveler (6/5): It was ok - Didn’t realize our room was going to be on the 4th level (so many stairs). They should have had a questionnaire form about ability to climb that amount of stairs. It was so far out from the main attractions. Definitely a more relaxation spot!

• Coleen (10/5): - Outstanding ocean front hotel! However, there is virtually no beach area even at low tide. Sand bags make it very difficult getting to the beach.
• MARIVEL (6/5): - I recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in the poolside doubles. The location is perfect it truly can’t get any better. You walk right onto the beach, which was beautiful. Our room was clean and spacious enough for two adults and one child. Our beds were made every day, and the cleaning staff ladies were super sweet and helpful. That said, there are several things that could be improved, and they’re deal-breakers for me, probably why I will not stay here again. The coffee machine was terrible, and the coffee itself was awful. The water from the sink and shower had a sewage smell, so we had to buy gallon water to brush our teeth. The toilet handle was broken; after flushing, you had to manually lift the handle back up, or the water wont flow back down. Lastly, the pillows were so thin and uncomfortable that it was hard to get a good night’s rest. Overall, the room was okay but could be much better especially for the high price!

• Kathryn (6/5): - We were in 312. Condo was spacious for my family of 4. The kids loved the bunk beds. All of the beds were comfortable. The decks were nice with chairs. Back deck had a great view of the ocean. Unfortunately, the tide was high the entire time so there wasn’t a beach. There was a smell to the condo, we purchased a candle to help. The bathroom could use some TLC. Would be nice if there were essentials such as Salt, Pepper, coffee, etc. The pool & hot tub were nice & maintained.
• Marcelle (6/5): - The property is good, very close to the beach. The beach is really nice and quiet. We enjoyed convenience of the outdoor shower. What was very disappointing was the beds. Extremely uncomfortable, even my two kids could not sleep well. I hear they are renovating rooms, so maybe ours is still in the list. We drove a long trip and really wanted to sleep.

Room service on 2 mornings, at 8:30 and 9 respectively, knocked and attempted entry without a chance to respond..which wasn't ideal. Also, we received a notice at 9:30 that "planned" bug extermination property wide would be occurring that day. If it was planned l, why wouldnt we have had a chance to prepare. This creates anxiety for many travelers. Having a compromised immune system, I am not supposed to be around these types of chemicals. Do I get the need for extermination? Yes. Just an observation and opportunity to maybe plan better.

Our only complaint was the bed could have used a better mattress. The check in process was super easy and they texted me that our room was ready at noon with a door code and never even had to go to the front desk.

The room was large and had space but could use a table and chairs of some kind. It only had a lounge chair which served as a luggage rack honestly. We liked it overall.

• Tiffany (10/5): - My New Favorite beach vacation spot! Pros: Beautiful sunrise view. Shells galore! Went in mid May and very few people around. Super easy to check in and out via text messages. Safety with passcode for door and FREE laundry!!! Friendly staff with almost immediate responses to questions via text or call. Outdoor hose for washing feet and chairs. Very clean, dishes and dishwasher available in unit. Plenty of room inside and outside for sitting and enjoying the atmosphere. Lots of beaches to choose from with easy access. Lots of places to eat within 10 minutes and loads of shops within 30-60 minutes. Cons: main bed not really comfy to my taste but my Kiddo loved her Murphy bed. Sheets were a bit rough for me and I ended up buying my own blanket. Perfect souvenir and made a big difference. I recommend bug spray . I got chewed up by something when I was waiting in the laundry room. However I also had the door open so I might have just let in a nasty mosquito.
• Beverly (4/5): - Our TV did not work. We had to go three flights of stairs to go get batteries for the remote. You should have maintenance to fix things like this. Never got it fixed so we moved rooms when we did we checked under the beds to make sure we did not leave anything and it was dirty underwear. We get to the next room and there’s dirty socks. I’ve never been to a beach where we had to fight sandbags. I guess this place is meant for younger people. 70 years old and have to carry your luggage upstairs is too much. I guess I didn’t check into it enough. We were just meeting friends there. We will never be back sorry

• Tammie (10/5): - Other than a slightly leaky toilet, it was great! Property even has Adirondack chairs at each unit. Which was awesome to watch the sunrise/sunset. And the beach was right behind our unit. I will definitely revisit this location again.
• Matthew (8/5): - The place has a great view but that's because it is almost a part of the ocean. I do not think the property will be there much longer before nature reclaims it. The beach is gone. There are giant sandbags in covering the beach in a last ditch effort to save the property. I was there less than 2 years ago and the beach was much wider with soft sand. Now you have to do gymnastics to get over the sandbags and to the beach. And the beach is mostly hard, broken shells. The houses near by are almost gone as well.
• Laurie (4/5): - Floor in kitchen was raised by 1/4” with a sharp surround. It was a major tripping hazard and my adult son sliced his toe open within an hour of arriving. Beach is eroding and the entire beachfront of the property is covered/blocked with sandbags. Strange layout with outside door opening directly into bedroom. BTW - cannot see the lighthouse.

• Jeffrey (6/5): - The location is right on the Hatteras beach with waves breaking almost under your deck. But the room, while in good repair and nicely clean was very small and Spartan. We expected housekeeping on Saturday and that didn't happen. The room amenities were the bare minimum. We liked the online reservation and checkin, but having to remember a 6 digit key code to get it the room proved inconvenient. On the plus side, the response to online messages was virtually instant. So a mixed bag. At the price, especially off season, more was expected.

• Nicolas (8/5): Great place with an awesome view - The place is awesome. Beautifull, clean and calm beach without cars. The service is fantastic. Rooms are clean and confortable. The bed was way too soft for us. Room and cleaned every mornings very early and because the hotel is made of wood, this is very noisy. Lots of restaurant options around but not in the hotel itself.

There is great shopping close by, and the residents are warm and inviting. Would definitely stay here again.

• Susann (8/5): - Nice room, clean pool, clean hot tub, lots of lounge chairs around the pool. A highlight is that the property is very close to the ocean and we could see the ocean from just outside our door. We were able to walk to the water in a couple of minutes to dip our feet in. What we didn't like was that we were on the 5th floor and the place did not have an elevator. It was hard lugging baggage up and down the outside staircases. We helped others who were struggling to do so. While not having an elevator may be typical of many older hotels in the area, we recommend mentioning this in the hotel's description.

The room smelled nice, the area was clean, the AC was amazing, and fresh towels were delivered every other day (if not daily)! The beach is also extremely accessible, breath taking, and clean. The hotel kindly provided convenient beach showers to wash yourself and beach things. Definitely recommend!!!!

• George (10/5): Great time - Great experience, very clean, easy sign in and out.
• Robin (8/5): - Reservation and check in process was very good. On site service was very helpful. Biggest negative is there are no elevators. A third floor room is a real struggle for a couple in their 70’s. Thanks to a neighboring guest, we managed. TV offers no major network programming in its hundreds of options.
• CARRIE (10/5): - Location is excellent with a great view of Cape Hatteras lighthouse, however, this area lacks in dining options, so it is VERY beneficial to take advantage of rooms/condos with kitchens. The rooms are clean with lovely beach decor, however, the king size beds are not the most comfortable (bc my bed at home is ridiculously comfortable, so I'm spoiled) and the rooms could really use a small table and 2 chairs for eating or card/game playing. There are no elevators at this accommodation so plan accordingly if you need an accessible room (there are no ground floor rooms, this is very well stated in all correspondence and in many places when booking . The pool and hot tub are clean and well maintained. There were no ice bucket liners in any of our rooms and some toiletry amenities were missing in a couple of our rooms. We also, never physically met with or saw an office person, but we didn't seek then our either. They use a coded door system instead of keys and they email/text the door codes ahead of your stay. For in season stays I felt the price was decent. Overall, it's a cozy little place to stay and a good value. Being oceanfront was a huge bonus!
• Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay! - Right on the beach. Cleaning staff was amazing at removing sand from floor after coming back from the beach. Didn’t even have to go to the office to check in…instead got a room key-in code by text before arrival. Communicated with office by text messages afterward, and they were always very friendly. Would definitely come back!
