Guest Reviews
- alice (8/5): - We attended a music festival at Belleayre Mtn.
- marsha (10/5): - Hitorical, straightforward, part of REAL community, NOT A STERILE HOTEL, personable while professional. It has old fashioned boarding house charm.
Highly recommend, unless you are seeking the Hilton.
- Mohamed (8/5): - Great host, large and cozy rooms.
- Gregory (10/5): - I like the place very neat and clean need some more good restaurants
- richard (10/5): - Good stay close to Belleayre. Cynthia was cool, room was nice and big for the fam.
- Michele (10/5): - The Wheelhouse is a regular stay for us when we visit Bellayre to ski. Cinthia and Rob are great hosts, and our stays have always been pleasant. The inn is an older house that’s been converted, so don’t expect modern fixtures and amenities. But it’s always clean and tidy and cozy, perfect for a low key stay near the hill.
- Anne (10/5): - It's very much how it's described. Cinthia got here just after i arrived and took payment. She had left the key and a little note out for me with instructor. She's very welcoming and gives you your space. Perfect little place to stay.
- adam (10/5): - Great location, easy to find. Warm and inviting
- Tara (10/5): - The pictures don't do this place justice. It was so cozy, welcoming, and convenient. I definitely plan to stay here again!
- Helen Anne (10/5): - As described. Staff was very flexible.
- Michele (10/5): - We really enjoyed our brief stay at Cinthia’s inn. It’s a nice and convenient place for a ski weekend at Belleayre, and Cinthia was a wonderful and responsive host.
- Suzanne (2/5): - Musty smelling, spider webs above dresser. uncomfortable bed with dirty blanket. Should have slept in car would have been more comfortable
- Malabika (8/5): - Great location & very convenient to get to after an outing (hiking in the area). Room furnishings simple - maybe slightly dated. Clean. Safe. Would definitely stay here again.
- Shannon (4/5): - This property was pretty run down. I guess the price is reflective of this some but I wasn't expecting it to be in the condition it was. The immediate area is also run down. I would not stay again
- Dennis (10/5): - Great place
Very nice owners
Very pleasant
Check in was perfect
Room was clean
Fresh towels
Lots of hot water
We will return
- Michael (10/5): - The location is perfect for someone skiing at Bellearye. It’s was a nice place to stay. Several restaurants within walking distance. I’d stay there again.
- Karen (10/5): Clean & economical place to stay in the Catskills - Clean and economical place to stay in the Catskills. Perfect place to crash after our hike up Panther Mountain. There was no TV in the room, but that was perfectly fine with us. There's also a bar at the inn next door which was convenient for grabbing a few beers.
- Michael (10/5): Fall in the Catskills - The room wasn't fancy, but cozy and comfortable. The owner is a very nice young lady who makes you feel right at home. Located in a great little Catskills village. The restaurant next door is fabulous and there is live music a few doors down on weekends.
- Jaret (8/5): - Not your typical hotel.
More like an old house.
Wasn’t what I expected, but no complaints. Old house , old decor. But. Clean and comfy.
There’s a couple places to eat in walking distance. Good experience
- Jason (10/5): - Very nice place. Nothing fancy, as we expected. Clean, quiet. Cute little town.
- Rafael (10/5): - Very nice place! Clean, quiet, peaceful, good location. I would definitely stay again.
- Norman (10/5): - Treated like a friend at check in. Very helpful at helping to park my motorcycle in safe place. Kindly reviewed dining options and explained the house and amenities.
- Marc (2/5): - very run down and cobbled together
- Timothy (10/5): reliable and economical hotel! - Great value for money, conveniently located near summer camp drop off in the area. Check-in was easy, room was big enough for two kids (each in their own bed) and two adults. Everything we needed was provided. Will return next time we head up to the Catskills for summer camp drop off.
- Olga (10/5): - Great stay!
- Eric (4/5): - The rooms were clean, but old. The beds were very uncomfortable
- COLE (10/5): - Loved the large sized rooms and convenient location. Staff was very accommodating
- Luke (10/5): - Very nice room owner was amazing and very nice/helpful. Beds were firm and apartment was very clean. Would recommend
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Convenient to mountains. Great for an overnight!
- Laura (8/5): - Very well kept little motel in the heart of the Catskills. Nothing fancy, no amenities like refrigerator or microwave or TV. Not a place I would stay for a weekend getaway but this property was perfect for a one night stay. I’m planning on returning during the winter to complete my winter Catskill peaks. This motel is located minute from them and the ski resort. Also Woodstock is about 15 minutes. The women who checked me in was extremely pleasant. I’ll be back.
- Lauren (8/5): A quiet little spot - We found the Wheelhouse to be perfect for our needs. We were visiting the area to take part in the Cats Tail Trail Marathon and needed a cozy, quiet, little spot close to the race site. Cinithia is a lovely hostess, and the Stanleys are interest in the comfort of their guests. The Inn was clean and warm, older in condition, but no complaints here.
- Brian (10/5): - This was a unique property very close to the mountain for skiing, and other restaurants. Our room was spacious with three beds (queen and two twins) with a couch as well. Perfect for my family of four.
- Erika (10/5): - Stayed at the inn for one night. Located in a small town, quiet road, quiet inn. The room was actually 2 rooms, a bit old fashioned, but clean, spacious and plenty of hot water in the shower. The lady checking us in was very friendly. We would definitely stay there again.
- Dennis (10/5): Good stay - No frills experience. Has wi-fi but no tv. Perfect for our 2 night stay. No complaints.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Wheelhouse Inn is a lovely, quiet, quirky property with a small number of comfortable rooms located on Pine Hill's main street. It's adjacent to the Pine Hill Arms and its restaurant, and just down the block from at least two other restaurants. Belleayre - both the beach and the ski mountain - are right around the corner, as well as the world-class Peekamoose Restaurant. Phoenicia and all its attractions are a 10 minute drive away. Cinthia is an excellent and attentive host. The Inn is a work-in-progress, but my room and bed were very comfortable, and I would definitely stay there again.
- Michael (10/5): Home away from home… - This was a great place to start a long road trip as it was much like a home away from home. I forgot a bunch of my shirts behind hanging in the closet, and the innkeeper was kind enough to ship them on home for me. That kind of service you don’t find everywhere. I enjoyed my brief stay at the Wheelhouse Inn.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Tot ally impossoble to find.....driving northwest from Woodstock, there were no signs and no motel that we could find......drove past Pine Hill but still nothing, turned around and went home.......
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The rooms are old and a bit outdated but perfectly clean and comfortable. I would stay here again. Staff was very nice and available.
- Brian (6/5): - It really feels like the owners are putting the absolute minimum into this place. They say they're 'updating slowly' but the h apparently had the property for four years
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It's pretty basic -- a bed and a bathroom -- and the decor is stuck in the early '70s to be generous. But it's very clean and comfortable, and the town is ultra-quiet, even with a nice indoor/outdoor bar next store. One night, we sat with a bottle of wine in the Adirondack chairs on the porch and played Old Crow Medicine Show's version of "Wagon Wheel" for the passers-by, who must have thought we were locals. And by the end of our stay, we thought so too.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Our host, Cynthia, was upbeat and provided a locked room to store our bikes. The bathroom has a jacuzzi, a nice feature. However, the bathroom was lacking in paper goods.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Owners very pleasant and added extra touches. Room itself was old but clean.
- Miroslava (8/5): - We really enjoyed this stay. This is not a typical hotel, there is no TV ( which we realized the day we were leaving ...) and there are maybe like 9 rooms. Family owned, old house with comfortable beds, massage bath. Next door there is an awesome restaurant with tap Pilsner Urquell, which I have never seen in US, so that was incredible surprise.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Slept well. Quiet - I'm not sure there were any other guests the night I was there. Tiny room, tinier shower.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and
convenient
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is the cutest inn, it’s kn a very pretty area in the mountains with fun things to do all around! The beds we so comfortable and the sheets were so soft. The nice lady that checked, I think she is the owner, was so kind and an amazing host. The rooms were clean and very cute. Thank fully there was also an ac in our room so it was a wonderful switch from the hot humid air outside. This is a perfect spot to stay if you’re looking for something low key with character in the mountains!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Place was cozy and reasonably priced.
- Linda (10/5): Quaint, cozy inn - Spent 1 night here before a ski race at Belleayre Mt. Room was warm and cozy and quaint. The street is great with a few historic inns and pubs. Close to the ski area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This BnB (Bed and Beverages) was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Will recommend to friends.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Ciinthia was very nice and greeted us upon arrival. Rooms were not fancy, but clean. Great location. Short walk to two bar/restaurants, and 6 minutes to Belleayre Mountain.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very good for skiing at Belleayre Mt. No frills, affordable.
- joseph (10/5): Clean - Clean place
