Guest Reviews
- Lachinkhanim (10/5): The staff members were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay till the end -
- Eli (10/5): - Tesis mükemmeldi her bir şeyi Her şeyi beğendim
- Kutluay (10/5): - Saubere und große Zimmer, top Lage, toller Pool mit einem traumhaften Blick
- Ian (9/5): Lovely Aged Hotel, Great pool and staff - Breakfast was a buffet and the fresh fruit was delicious, there was also an option for omelettes which were super tasty, the 25 Mtr pool was fanstatic, the pool wasnt busy and was perfect for a early morning lengths swim. then breakfast.
Food was lovely as were the drinks at the bar, i recommend the lemonade which was a delight.
The staff for the room service were attentive and excellent as were the staff at the bar. the balcony door wouldnt slide easily which was never really resolved, the Hotel has an age patina which added to the charm.
- David (9/5): -
- James (6/5): Clean, friendly and reasonably priced. We would go there again. - Friendly staff. Nice pool with a lovely view towards Kalamar Bay and the sea. There are always with free beds around the pool regardless of the time of day. Service is charming and always with a smile but it is VERY slow. We ordered lunch on our first day and despite the fact that there were literally only six of seven people in the pool/restaurant area, our food took just under an hour to arrive.
Similarly the next day, we ordered two coffees by the pool, and despite it being very quiet in the restaurant/pool area, they took just under half an hour to arrive.
- Louise (7/5): Gorgeous view average hotel - The view from balcony was beautiful. Rooms spacious.
Facilities good Dead cockroach in toilet
Bins had not been emptied from previous holiday makers and was over flowing.
Balcony and floor inside was sticky. Electric was turning on n off
- Ayten (8/5): Godt sted - Famile venligt hotel med en stor pool. Og en fantastisk udsigt. Meget søde og hjælpesom personale. Kan stærkt anbefale. En en famile som os med to børn på 9 og 10 år.
- Arthur (10/5): Excellent hotel, great value for money, will return!! - Comfy bedroom + a HUGE bed!!
Well located - super close to Kalmari beach club & a 20 min walk from the town centre.
The staff were WORLD CLASS - super friendly & attentive.
Serve up a solid lunch, big pool, and lots of nice areas to chill.
Would 10/10 recommend. Breakfast could have been nicer / have more options!
- Michele (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Brilliant - Lovely views of the sea. Great pool and beds. Staff were amazing Everything was great
- Brian (10/5): - Spacious hotel with plenty of room to spread out unlike some hotels which pack people in dining rooms etc.
Brian Garner.
- Rakhee (10/5): - Very nice clean room. Lovely balcony with sea view. Staff very friendly and helpful.
- David (6/5): Pleasant return to the Happy, but not as friendly as it was the last time, we will not be returning - Pool, room view Fridge front light on all the time, no wine list,
- Andrew (3/5): Poor - It was peaceful That there was no prosecco they had run out we was told sorry end of season so won’t be restocking the same with the ice cream breakfast was basic
- Ekaterina (3/5): Poor - I don't recommend this hotel
Rooms are noisy and old, food is not tasty and bad location for walking
- Shirley (10/5): Another fabulous hotel at the Happy Hotel; we’ll be back. - We have stayed at this hotel many times and, although it may not be the most elegant of buildings, the wonderful staff, fabulous pool and views more than compensate. Nothing.
- Bronwyn (6/5): Pleasant - Good location with a great view out to sea, a few grocery stores nearby and an easy 25 minute stroll to the harbour. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the meal we had the first night of our arrival was really good. There seemed to be enough pool loungers for everyone, however not sure if it would be the same when it's peak season. It gets quite windy by the pool which meant the umbrellas usually had to come down so you'd have to move and hope you get lucky to find a lounge in the shade if needed. They do have a sister hotel with a beach club which is free to use if you're staying at Happy Hotel and that was great. I'm not sure if there's a free shuttle in peak periods, however we just got a taxi which was about 5 mins/£5 The rooms are quite dated
- Y7257ENlauraj (8/5): Happy Kalkan Stay - Hotel has a lovely setting, amazing views and the pool area really nice and quiet. Perfect for people who want a quiet break. Our room was huge but very dated, disappointed to only have a blanket on the bed and no sheets, blanket was dry and scratchy but the shower is very good.
We had the breakfast one day of our weeks stay, nothing wrong with the breakfast, just found the vibe a bit quiet and strange, like we were intruding into someone's home to have breakfast. We preferred to eat in the local restaurants so spent a lot of time walking (up and down hills) luckily we love to walk but if you're not very fit, you will spend a lot of money on taxi's. All in all, we loved our Kalkan holiday, not sure would stay here again, simply because it was too quiet for us, but if you like sleepy hotels, this is perfect for you.
- 212margieg (10/5): A little hidden gem! - What a fabulous hotel and holiday. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Showers warm and good. Only niggle was the firm beds! Staff and service were friendly and excellent. Wifi fantastic, especially for working. Views were breathtaking. Pool wonderful. Air conditioning welcome. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Hotel add ones were fairly priced. Best feature is the manager Gurol! What a star. Helped and went out of his way for everything. To get anywhere, you will need a taxi, however reasonable priced. Free access to Likya Gardens beach club (sister hotel) on the sea was amazing for swimming and snorkelling. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Mark and Margie
- workaholicWales (8/5): HAPPY HOTEL IS A LOVELY HOTEL WITH AN EXCELLENT POOL & EXCEPTIONAL STAFF - We have just returned from a week's stay at the Happy Hotel. The staff are lovely and really helpful, in particular Guol the Manger was extremely helpful, giving excellent advice regarding tours, beach clubs etc ., and ordering taxis. Hasan the bar manager was exceptional. There pool area is excellent with comfortable sun loungers and towels provided. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable with air conditioning in both the lounge and bedroom plus a lovely balcony with spectacular views. Many guests return tho this hotel over many years. Although a good 20 minute walk from the main old town we found taxis easy to book and not expensive 170 tlr. We did not find this a problem as there were excellent restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The hotel may be seen by some as needing updating but we found it charming and the cleanliness and exceptional staff made our holiday so enjoyable.
- andybN3249RU (8/5): Happy kalkan - The hotel is located about 20 minutes walk from Kalkan, which is ok.Few nice places to eat and drink near hotel.
The rooms are lovely.
Food is good.
The drink is expensive, there's a notification saying you can't bring your own in the hotel as theirs is reasonable price, untrue.i found the manager very stand offish, had his own favourite guests.
The pool is brilliant and the staff are lovely and hard working and very helpful.
Turkey is now a expensive destination, Portugal was far cheaper in June.
All in all I would go back .
Weather obviously lovely.
- Pavel (1/5): Bad - View from the balcony Recently stayed at Happy Hotel Kalkan with my family of four, and it was an absolute nightmare. The room we were given was nothing like the photos advertised online. The furniture was old, worn out, and in terrible condition. Door handles were falling off.
The air conditioner was malfunctioning and couldn't maintain a comfortable temperature, leaving us sweating during the night. To make matters worse, the room was completely devoid of any essential amenities. For a family of four, there were only two glasses provided—no plates, utensils, or any kitchenware whatsoever.
Laundry services were outrageously expensive. Additionally, all prices were listed in pounds ,and the hotel refused to accept any other currencies
Overall, Happy Hotel Kalkan failed to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality. The poor maintenance, lack of essential amenities, exorbitant prices, and unprofessional service made our stay extremely unpleasant. I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere. Do not waste your money or time on this disappointing establishment.
- Alisa (6/5): Pleasant - The pool area and view is exceptional and the sun beds are super comfy. It is a short walk to a few restaurants, away from the main town and approx. a 30min walk to the centre. Taxi is 170TL each way. The breakfast was poor. The room was spacious but not cleaned daily
- Alexey (6/5): Pleasant - Location (close to one of the best beach clubs)
Sea view
Restaurant for dinner
Personal in the restaurant is very friendly and polite
Big rooms Quite old hotel
Very bad cleaning ( nobody even touched the floor, from the first day till the last one the same dirty and hair on the floor, the only made the bed)
Very poor breakfast ( no any porridge, no pancakes, crepes, no any bakery, biscuits, only bread! Only! And always the same. There wasn’t any changing in food during two weeks. Fruits only melon and watermelon. )
In pool you can find mountains of chlorine
There are two three hotels nearby with wonderful new rooms, view, breakfast and 30% less price than here ( price is really high for such rooms and breakfast)
- Rachel (10/5): Relaxing .excellent facilities and wonderful staff . - The fantastic pool!! No matter how many people were in there was always room to swim . 25 metres .always spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. Delicious breakfast buffet . Staff were always really attentive and discreet. Loved it all!
- Vicky (7/5): Had a fantastic week and would love to go back but due to the cost of food and drink to eat out as no self catering I do - The pool and pool area was perfect 👍🏾!
The hotel food was excellent 👌🏽 Food and drink was expensive.
Would be nice to have the option to do some self catering to make it more affordable.
- Bekir Melih (8/5): - An excellent location with a good view. Very quiet and peacefull. Good breakfast with a lot of variety. Hotel crew friendly and prepared to help.
Check-in through the reception was very poor. No info provided and you have to find out yourself or ask everytime. We stayed for 5 days and ask for cleaning the third day. Cleaners said they can't mob the floor. They only change the bed sheets, towels and get rid of the garbage.
- Chao (10/5): Exceptional - Good bay view and a big nice swimming pool. The restaurant locates by the pool, also with both mountain view and bay view. The food is perfect and alcohol available. The room is bigger than average with a big balcony. The air conditioner will stop working frequently. The staff cannot fix this problem. I guess the problem is caused by its temperature sensor.
- Peta (8/5): Very good - The views, the pool and the friendly staff were amazing. The bed was very uncomfortable.
- Pelin (6/5): - Personel ilgili değil, odadaki eşyalar eski o da pek küçüktü, yemek sipariş veriyorsun 1 saatte geliyor. Şef kesinlikle yemek yapmayı bilmiyor..
- Nick (8/5): Very good -
- Dan (7/5): Good - The views of Kalamar Bay were stunning.
Buffet breakfast / cocktails / dinner.
Complementary access to Likya Beach Club (five minutes in a taxi).
The pool / pool area.
Waiters were friendly
Bed was comfy.
Pool table and table tennis.
Had a safe. The room was outdated. The shower didn't drain well (also took a long time to get warm), the door to the balcony was difficult to open (my partner couldn't open it) and there was a sign warning against bringing in food from outside the hotel otherwise you'd be charged for it.
- Liam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neil (8/5): Turkey Trip - The hotel was very good, excellent staff and attentiveness to your requirements. Good setting for the hotel, quiet but not too far from shops, restaurants and cafes. Beach very close and relaxing. Excellent room, and fittings, with comfy large double bed. I little expensive in the hotel for drinks
- Chloe (10/5): Super friendly staff even at 2am when I arrived late they ordered me - The staff and pool were perfect Nothing was bad
- Kieran (10/5): Fantastic hotel and the friendliest staff you could hope for. -
- JL2561 (10/5): Great hotel with amazing views and friendly staff. - Great hotel for a solo traveller. Staff were so friendly, helpful and willing to just chat. The hotel was traditional but certainly not shabby. My room was fine with good AC, a mini bar which is like a beer fridge which lights up at night so cover with a towel if it bothers you and a safe- all free. Housekeeping was very good every day and although I never understand the crochet top sheet thing there were light duvets with covers in the wardrobe which I used. Breakfast was apparently usually buffet but because it was quiet was brought to your table which I prefer. I don't like to move on holiday if I can help it. A good Turkish breakfast and you can ask for omelettes or eggs if you like. Lunches and evening meals were a la carte and good quality. Bar and food prices were ok but Kalkan is not cheap so they were not out of kilter with others. Pool excellent with superb sunbeds and very quiet while I was there. Bar staff would approach you for pool service drinks but no pressure. I had everything that was important to me. It was quiet which I loved but might not suit others. I don't see the need for disco Turkey played at breakfast but you could have meals overlooking the views that were amazing. Taxis increased in price during my stay and were about £4 one way. There is no courtesy bus. I would stay again in a heartbeat because it gave me everything I need especially friendly staff from the Manager downwards and I loved the hotel dog Maya and cat who had no name!
- Heidi (9/5): Another perfect break in Kalkan - Happy Hotel is located in Kalamar Bay Area. You can walk into Kalkan which is downhill and takes around 15 mins (not 5 as some have stated!). Of course you can walk back but we always took a taxi as up hill. Taxi was 200TL (about £5). Having been to Kalkan numerous times, I like this area as a little quieter. Restaurants within a 5 mins stroll. Quiet area. Rooms have a balcony - some with much better views than others. We did not have a view but did not bother us as little time is spent in the room. Room has a minibar but they make it clear this is not for your own snacks. The light is bright for this fridge so a sleep mask is a good thing to pack. Ample toiletries in the bathroom. Kettle in room - big bonus! Fabulous shower! Water from bar was only 50TL (£1.20) for a big bottle. Drinks are expensive at hotel but everywhere in Kalkan now is! Pool area amazing with the most stunning views and attentive staff to bring you drinks! There is very little that I can fault but if there was one thing then it is the beds - not hugely comfy. However, the sun loungers around the pool are super comfy!
- Malcolm (7/5): Generally a great hotel, a couple of major drawbacks to consider - Great room, view and pool area Unusable balcony as no shade. Photos showed an umbrella but we were denied the use of one. We were told they were old photos, and for wind reasons, but there was no wind.
Also, there was a quite threatening laminated demand for no food and drink from outside the hotel to be taken to rooms, only that purchased at the hotel. The demand stated that if anything purchased externally was found to be consumed in the room we would be charged hotel prices for this! We were never thinking to buy externally and take every meal to our room, but this felt very authoritarian.
- sallyn952 (6/5): Not as the reviews suggest. - Good points - Pool area is lovely with comfortable Sun loungers. Hussain behind the bar is very helpful if you need any help with anything.
Views from the pool area are stunning.
Bad Points ,- Reception not welcoming the smell of cigarettes nearly knocks you out.
Hotel Manager not very friendly
Rooms not checked had numerous faults on arrival
Shower broken
Safe Broken
patio Doors very hard to open
No toilet roll for 48 hours 3 calls to reception.
No body wash for 3 days
Had to ask for bedding to be changed.
Food in the hotel the worst I've ever had in Turkey
5 frozen calamari rings on a bit of lettuce charged 19 pound . 2 Toasties made with 4 crusts of bread that were cremated and not edible. Salads that were nothing like the menu just what they had in the kitchen.
Other areas of the hotel were very run down .
Staff looked like they would rather be somewhere else but there.
Very young serving staff that were willing but definitely needed some training.
Reception staff watched as we struggled with our luggage to return to airport.
We had a lovely time in Kalkan but wouldn't return to this hotel.
- Ahmed (9/5): Superb - The room was very clean and comfortable. There is nothing to complain about, except there was a small water leak when using the shower.
- James (7/5): Good -
- Emily (9/5): Great hotel - staff are brilliant, such great value for money - Staff amazing, hotel goes above and beyond (towelling dressing gowns, shampoo every day etc). Food at the hotel good too. 15 min walk into the centre or £4 taxi which arrives within minutes and operate 24/7.
Lovely sea view room and king size bed!
Huge 50m pool and lovely comfortable sun beds. Can’t really fault our stay!
Hassan in particular goes above and beyond. More veggie/vegan options at breakfast would be amazing
- Julie (10/5): Perfect relaxing break brilliant Mojitos 😊 - Perfect location, staff very helpful and attentive O
- Ann (9/5): Turkey at its Best..x - The location..bar staff..food..wow breakfast..sunbeds & fresh towels..attention to detail. The key card...had to re visit reception to validate..to actually get into your room...having to go back down the steps...again!
- K1352XLkareng (10/5): Happy at the Happy hotel - May seems to be a very quiet time in Kalkan and therefore we were able to enjoy this amazing, friendly hotel - spotlessly clean, beautiful pool with stunning views, extremely comfortable sunbeds and attentive staff. Special mention for Hassein who makes everything run smoothly and ensures every guest is happy at the Happy hotel.
- Sarah (10/5): Relaxing stay in a lovely hotel with excellent staff - A huge swimming pool and a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. Comfortable rooms. Excellent staff Nothing , all good
- Louise (10/5): - We have just returned from Happy Hotel, what a stunning location.
We were treated very well by everyone at the hotel but the star was Hussain, what a lovely man and paid so much attention to detail. He looked after us so well. He made our holiday!
I would definitely stay again, it’s quite a walk to town but the location makes up for it looking over Kalamar Bay and there is always the option of a taxi.
Room was clean and lots of products to use in the bathroom, plus a kettle, tea and coffee and a fridge. The pool is huge and very refreshing!
Breakfast was a huge display of different foods, cheeses, meats, olives, eggs, fruits, vegetables, pastries, olives, jams, lovely honey and bread. You can have an omelette made if you choose all included in our holiday, which set us up for the day.
There is not really anything negative to report from our point of view. We throughly enjoyed our stay and although we usually get a private Villa I would stay at Happy Hotel again anytime, lovely location and great staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oh and Hussain made me the best cocktail I have ever had, I forgot to ask what was in it 😊.
- 207mikelap (10/5): Fantastic stunning hotel! - Fantastic hotel!
We were here for a weeks holiday and had the best stay.
Hotel rooms are spacious and extremely clean, aswell as the whole hotel area they do a lot on making the place look great.
Our bar tender Hassan.. what a guy! Went out his way everyday for us making our experience as good as it could be. If you had any faults which we had absolutely none he would go out his way to fix it for you. Best service. I say the same for all hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Hotel food was absolutely beautiful we tried quite alot on the menu and it is all reasonably priced, cocktails are very presentable and tasted beautiful! The breakfast spread provided may not be for everyone but it was delicious and a great variety.
The main town is aprox 5-7 mins in a taxi which is 130 lira, and a good 30 min walk, it is extremely hilly so we got a taxi there and back.
And to top it off the view this hotel brings is stunning! So overall we thought this hotel is fantastic and won't disappoint.
- Georgios (10/5): - Middle November stay for a night and although we had a rain storm at night and shortage of water, people did their best to help us have a pleasant stay.
Thank you for your hospitality.
We will visit again during summer.
Thank you.
- Z7265HEhannahs (10/5): Perfect stay, in a perfect location, thank you so much! - Perfect stay in a great location, food was great, staff helpful every hour of the day and the pool was beautiful (largest pool in Kalkan!) Views were amazing especially sunset. Town is 20min walk but staff are always there to help you book a taxi which arrives pronto. We were here on a couples stay and can't thank you enough for everything, we did not want to leave :)
- Connor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liam (7/5): Reasonable price and comfortable but nothing special - Nice view from room. Pool was large and area was clean. Comfortable bed. Parking on site. There was no lift and had to go up a lot of steps to room. Air conditioning was not on and no fan available. No gluten free option for breakfast had to bring my own bread. Dated decor and not allowed to eat your own food in the room. Located far out of town need a car to get there
- kariboubaroudeur (10/5): A very Good place to stay - A very great deal … A very good hotel with a huge pool all the rooms well furnished with comfy bedding came with a balcony and a nice view
The buffet breakfast is tasty and how about the staff always smiling and greeting
I hope to come again
Many thanks
Karim
- Karim (9/5): An excellent deal for Kalkan …hope to come back again - The best deal i had so far during my stay in Turkey
The rooms well furnished come with a balcony and a pool and a sea view
The very tasty buffet breakfast is various and served around the pool
And last but not least the friendly staff always smiling and greeting do everything to make you comfy some small details in the bathroom and more shelf in the wardrobe … but theses are just a small tiny details
- Alan (8/5): Very good accept the transfer charge !! - Breakfast was adequate, ate mine siting by the pool looking at the view. Disappointed with my end bill. I was charged £140 for the airport transfer, where it clearly stated on the advert "Airport Shuttle" as a popular facilities . I doesn't say this is chargeable, spoilt the holiday.
- Khakimova (10/5): Exceptional - I really liked everything from the staff to the location. Everything was at a good level. We want to come back again with my husband. N/A
- Peter (10/5): Amazing hotel with a heavanly view and exceptional facilities. - This place is amazing, has a luxurious feel to it. Not a "basic" hotel but still very affordable! The pool and the views.. fantastic. Also the staff are very nice!
- Fred (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janna (9/5): Relaxing stay close to the beach - What a sweet hotel... It is a bit dated around the edges, but like a good bottle of wine, it gets better with age. It is super clean. The staff is very helpful, the breakfast is plentiful, and the views are spectacular. Closely located to the local beach as well as numerous restaurants in town. We will definitely stay here again when back in Kalkan. I wish we would of had the room with open slats balcony instead of a solid wall balcony.
- Christine (9/5): Super, good value with attentive staff. Lovely pool and amazing views. - The pool, beautiful views, very clean, good breakfast. Nothing I can think of.
- Shovatours (8/5): Very good - Excellent food . Great Pool. Quiet location. Friendly and helpful staff. Cheap taxi's to town, as driving and parking in the town is a pain!
Very cool place
- Fred (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline M (10/5): - Welcoming & relaxing atmosphere. Attentive staff. Lovely location & great pool.
- amandacD5794VI (10/5): Our Happy Place - Love this hotel, been three times now and it never disappoints. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are delicious especially the omelettes. Taxi to town is £3 or you can walk. They do offer an evening menu which is also delicious. A large selection of cocktails and wine are available. The Effes beer is plentiful! The rooms are spacious, cleaned daily with ample towels. Towels are provided for the pool. Will definitely be back next year
- Ben (7/5): Great view and pool, however the rooms are outdated and in need of wholesale renovation - - Amazing view around the lovely relaxing pool area
- Very attentive staff around the pool/restaurant
- Great games selection - The hotel is outdated and is in real need of a refit.
-- For example there are 20+ year old kids baths for the shower section (Some of the British guests have been coming to the hotel this long)
-- Old fashioned wallpaper in the bathroom and bedroom just about clinging on
-- The main light switches are no longer connected to anything, they've put a load of lamps in but not removed the switches
- travelbug1975_10 (10/5): Great hotel.... - Had a great stay at Happy Hotel, it is a 20min up & down hill walk into Kalkan, we found this doable and only resorted getting taxis twice. The room was clean and comfortable. Fridge in the room but a glass front so highlighted the room at night. Good hot powerful shower, quality shower gel & shampoo in big bottles. Hairdryer is a push button, I have trouble gripping so this wasn't great for me, I would take my own next time. Plug sockets under dressers, so not easy to access if you want to use Straightners by the mirror maybe take an extension lead.
Breakfast was OK enough to fill up on bread, eggs/omlettes, melon, juices, beans, salami cheese and cereal, some days pancakes
The pool area is lovely with the best views, nice fresh towels and padded sunbeds. Staff are friendly and work hard. If you don't mind a bit of a hilly strole this is a great hotel, with a couple of nice restaurants nearby if you don't want to head into town.
- Llj1 (10/5): Great September break. - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Happy Kalkan.
Hard working and very friendly staff and lovely company from other guests in the hotel.
Pool views are stunning, overlooking Kalamar Bay.
Rooms are very dated but clean and comfortable.
You can walk to town in 15-20 minutes and lots of good restaurants on Kalamar Rd.
- James (10/5): A wonderful place to stay in Kalkan...just have transportation to get into town - The pool and bar area were beautiful, amazing views and very comfortable. The breakfast was the best I have had at a hotel. We were only there one night but we could have spent many day there. The balcony was large and inviting. Rooms were a little dated. You need a car if you want to go into downtown Kalkan.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Nicolò (9/5): Superb - Staff has been incredibly kind, welcoming and caring .
Price competitive hotel.
- Victoria (3/5): Poor -
- Fuad (9/5): Superb - Everything and staff was amazing. None
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Kieran (10/5): Amazing. - Excellent views and amazing, friendly and hard working staff. Shower was slightly worn down / old.
- Kirsten (9/5): A comfortable, relaxing stay thank you. - Amazing pool, beautiful view and brilliant staff.
- Nikki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachid (8/5): Very good -
- Iuliia (1/5): Expectation and reality were not justified - view from the window was nice and staff in hotel restaurant was good. When we arrived on the terrace there were no sunbeds and an umbrella as in the photo.
We took a room for 3 and the extra bed creaked terribly, the air conditioner did not work well, but it was fixed. The pillows were not comfortable. The hotel is in need to be repaired as it is clearly old.
Please note that the hotel does not provide drinking water for guests (only one bottle in check-in)
- Lena (7/5): Good - Nice pool, good breakfast Quite far out of town.
- Saher (9/5): Superb -
- H741WFianc (10/5): Happy Hotel Happy Holidays. - Lovely Quiet Hotel at the Kalamar rd end. Lovely and clean, helpful staff, fantastic Swimming pool continental breakfast had a good choice and Omelette's are done to order. does need some fresh decorating.
- Daniel (10/5): Great hotel in a good location with a lovely view. Nice pool and friendly staff. Really clean. - Great location and pool. Clean rooms and quiet environment. Nothing put me off, but the air conditioning wasn’t working one day. Quickly resolved though.
- Nizami (9/5): Highly recommended - Good location of hotel close to beaches . Personnel is very helpful and responsive . Wonderfully breakfast . I would recommend this hotel to others .
- Rafiqua (6/5): Pleasant - Beautiful views and swimming pool. The rooms are big The bedroom is very dated and the beds are not comfortable.
- Fiona (9/5): Good location and great value - We loved the big rooms, pool, staff friendly, decent breakfast, and value for money. Short walk to Kalkan beach club which was an amazing beach, had to pay for umbrella but worth it !!
- Helen (6/5): - Room refurbishment required to make this a deluxe room, outdated and in need of repair. However the room was clean and the bed comfortable. Sadly we were overcharged for minibar items we didn't have (we did dispute this) we also had to pay for a late checkout when the hotel was not at capacity. Staff were friendly and attentive, the pool was good and there is a beautiful view.
- Batoul (1/5): Bad - Its a huge old resort. I believe it had its glory days.
The stuff is friendly. The views are beautiful I couldn't stay. It's a big resort, but it's a gohst place, parely has people. I arrived at night it was empty, dark and creepy. When i booked it says last room when i arrived there were parely rooms booked in the place.
Couldn't use this booking or refund it. What a waste!
- Lizandro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (8/5): Peaceful location on outer edge of town. Great pool and good for a relaxing stay. - STUNNING huge swimming pool kept immaculately with wonderful views over the coast and lots of comfy sunbeds with pool towels. Room and bathroom was spacious ( I only had the standard room). Reception staff very helpful. Option of room safe if required for no charge. Location is at the end of the Kalamar Road. Walking distance to town if you are fit but I had hire car as too much for me. Reckon would take a fit person 30 mins to walk in. However two small beach clubs walking distance down the hill and a lot of restaurants in Kalamar road walking distance up the hill ( at least downhill after dinner!). For me the quietness of the location especially at night worked well. Good amount of parking in the hotel parking and just outside. Good basic Turkish breakfast everyday with good service from friendly staff. Option of eggs or omelette to order included. Good lunch and evening menu at poolside , usual Turkish options and well priced for a hotel. Drinks not expensive. Evening entertainment on some evenings with live music. Small children's pool but like the rest of Kalkan not really suitable for small children as many steps so they would require very close supervision. Relaxing place to stay, especially if you just want a poolside holiday with the other Kalkan options nearby. Taxis are still cheap and plentiful and can be ordered within a few mins from reception. Free book exchange in reception if you run out of holiday reading ( any cafes and hotels in Kalkan have a few shelves). Also good for solo traveller, I was with a friend for part of my stay but was perfectly comfortable staying there on my own. Pretty gardens, lots of trees and flowers and all areas clean and tidy. Didnt find the gym so cannot comment, would have been useful if on arrival I had been told about it. There are a lot of steps- fine for me but certainly no good if you have limited mobility.
