- Valerie (4/5): - The area itself was so beautiful but the building we stayed in was lovely as well other than it was at the end of the season although there were other guests there there wasn’t any staff. The room we stayed in wasn’t what I thought I booked initially it was a one bed room but they had two beds in it you couldn’t walk around it my husband needed a night table to put his cpap machine on it there wasn’t a table between the beds. So I moved a little table that was there and squeezed it between the beds it find a bunch of dust and dirt on the carpet. The bathroom had cod webs on the light fixtures and there was black mold on the window by the bed where I slept. Thankfully we only had to stay there one night. I was very disappointed.
- Diane (10/5): - The hotel room was clean. The manager on duty was nice and even got me another pillow. Check in was easy. The restaurant had already closed for the season so we had to find dinner which was fine but letting us know when we booked would have helped. They were doing some work on the outside of the building which needed it. The place was really cute with the different color cottages. Update the painting all around, clean up the back of the building. Just a few things to add sparkle to your location.

- Jennifer (8/5): - The room was clean!! Having no shampoo/conditioner or Kleenex in the room would have been a bonus. Also the outlet in the bathroom in 206 didn’t work. Very different not having any one at the front desk for check in. Everyone’s keys just layed out on the counter. Very interesting.

- JENIFER (6/5): - The Inn overall feels outdated and in need of an upgrade, though the room itself had been partially upgraded. Were not advised that they were almost closed for the season, so no restaurant or reception on arrival - we were left to get dinner from a vending machine which did not deliver all that we paid for. The location is okay, but still a good drive to find a cafe or restaurant. Okay for a night or two if all you are doing is sleeping there. Gentleman on reception the following day was courteous.
- James (4/5): - While the bed was comfortable, linens clean, the our suite was in need of a deep cleaning and/or a new coat of paint. A bit of updating wouldn’t hurt. We were surprised that their restaurant was closed for the season, and disappointed that there was no information posted anywhere relative to restaurants in the vicinity. Only when we inquired at another inn in Port Union did we find out that the only restaurants close by were in Bonavista. It would have been helpful if there were staff on hand. Self check-in was fine but being able to speak with someone would have been better. I regret to say that I would not recommend the Seaport Inn.
- Yvonne (8/5): - Nice - but had to switch room which was logon main floor because of pro with room heater and we were put in another room not as nice and up a long flight of stairs ( no elevator) and as seniors that was problematic to drag our heavy suitcase up and down the stairs
- helen (4/5): Not so good stay - The bed was very comfortable but there are so many things not working properly. First of all the A/C or heater is so loud when it was on, no way you can have it turn on while in the room. The vanity sink was plugged and tap water is so yellowish. I was brushing my teeth with bottle water. For the price we paid we expected better conditions.

- Donald (6/5): - Location of this Inn is convenient. It is dated and has some issues with water. Due to the lack of rain the water coming into the hotel is a yellow colour and very unappealing. They did provide us with some bottles of water. The ramp up to the front door has many weeds around it and should be cleaned up. We were disappointed the dining room for supper was closed. Continental breakfast was good.

I should also note the cable & smart tv was a nice option as we were there late in the season and on a rainy & chilly late afternoon it came in handy
- Jane (6/5): Not a good experience. - A poor first impression from the outside, lots of weeds etc. The front reception area is not inviting, needs new flooring, paint etc. Arrived Sept 6th, but the restaurant was closed for the season. Upon arrival we were offered a continental breakfast but both mornings there were bus tours that they were serving breakfast to, so they were not able to serve my husband and I.

When we arrived August 29, the restaurant was closed for the season and the closest dining was in Bonavista, 17 km away. Continental breakfast was not open until 8:00 a.m. Not helpful when we wanted to be on our way early.

However, surprise, surprise on entering the room comforter and pillows were on the floor, no sheets on bed. No one to contact to fix this problem and too late to go anywhere else. Did find one sheet in a drawer and turned the pillow cases inside out. Not happy but managed to sleep as we were very tired. Owner did give us a 50% discount on the room, blamed his staff. Obviously cannot recommend this place.

- Sarah (10/5): - We loved this little Inn. The staff were absolutely lovely. There was a little mix up when we checked in, but it was rectified quickly and appropriately. The restaurant was basic, and they were having some staffing issues while we were there… but honestly, they were so delightful and upfront about their challenges it kind of added to our stay. The property is an easy walk to fun hiking trails, and in to the port union docks, as well as a good central location for exploring the Bona Vista Peninsula. Would recomend.

The rooms could definitely use a little bit of an upgrade and the yard is in need of some maintenance. Other than that not too bad of a stay.

Power outlet cover was broken (safety hazard). Parking was not properly enforced. Someone parked in our spot, front desk was closed so there was no one to complain to. We had to park across lot with several bags of luggage. Far too expensive for too little.
- Alwin (10/5): - This quaint property is right beside the highway and perfect for an overnight stay. Check-in or out was quick and easy.
- Melissa (6/5): - Things we liked: staff were friendly. The layout of the room was neat in that it separated the two beds into separate rooms and was very spacious. Things we didn’t like: items needed repair that could have been simple fixes. For example, there was a switch for the bathroom fan but it didn’t work. There were 2 sinks in the room but one of them didn’t run water (perhaps this was intentional but if this is the case, removing the sink would greatly improve the room). There was a light over the working sink but it didn’t turn on. And while I understand that certain older features like walls and furniture can give an Inn character, much of the outdated features like old carpet and broken bathroom floor grout and a bathtub with rust, felt more like lack of effort on the part of the property owners. The location and outward appeal of this Inn offers so much potential that it was a little disappointing to find the room in this condition.

- Judy (10/5): - A continental breakfast was provided and welcomed after multiple days of travel. Good yogurt selections, juice, coffee, tea, white or brown bread, jams. A good start to the day, The bed was comfortable and the room cosy and had everything I needed.

- Lori (4/5): - At first glance this is a quaint little hotel. But then the water damage to the front deck and entryway becomes quickly evident. There was a dirty washcloth hanging from the shower head. We had a long day of driving and were too exhausted to complain. The gaps at the top and bottom of the door were large ebough for light and noise to disturb sleep. There was an iron but no ironing board. Front desk staff were not trained in local activities or attractions. The restaurant was just ok. The staff were great, especially the young lady who had just started there. The continental breakfast was very limited.

- Joseph (6/5): - Hosts were very accommodating when my flight coming in was delayed by a day, they were gracious enough to adjust my dates and the price and I appreciate that very much. Overall, the hotel feels a bit on the older/dated side and country (as I expected), however, I think that adds to the charm. Beds were comfy enough, there is a restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner options. It was at a reasonable driving distance to the sights. I would stay here again.

The doors to the rooms are beyond noisy even when trying to be quiet with them - you have to pretty much slam them. I had neighbours that were in and out all evening; i was pretty fed up by the time they went to sleep. 2. The restaurant - vile food. NO veggie options other than fries, rings, side salad. They have tacos on the menu - how hard would it be to add beans instead of meat? 3. Front door is kept unlocked all night. 4. No phones in the room - not good for international travelers without a local SIM in case of emergency. 5. Staff nice; check-in was a breeze.

Wasn't until after arrival and had checked in that they were told that "pet friendly "actually only meant "dog friendly "and their cats were not welcome. If Expedia is advertising this as pet friendly, they need to be explicit. Carpets were filthy.
- Sam (6/5): - NOT PET friendly! Cats not welcome, which we weren't told until after we were in and settled. The management would have liked us to leave, but after some negotiations we were allowed to stay, but we felt the need to photograph the whole room before we left for fear of future repercussions. Our room was good, the location was excellent. Be aware for meal planning that the restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
