- Cody (9/5): Overall it was nice, I'll stay there again for the next trip to the area. - Room was very clean and comfortable, nice bathrooms and showers also. I was unsure if the waters in the fridge were complementary or not so I didn't use them. If they are, a nice little sign would be helpful. If breakfast was included with the room fee, I would have given a 10/10 score. The breakfast rate was too high to expense when local businesses are much cheaper, but if it was included with the room then it would have been a no brainer.

- M (9/5): Perfect blend of high standard and friendly welcome! - The welcome at the AC Marriott in Chapel Hill was warm and friendly. All the staff were so helpful and accommodating (thank you Miss Renee for making myself and my daughter so at home and to the night staff on check-in for ensuring I had a quiet room). The hotel is centrally located and close to the university, shops and amenities. Its rooms are of a high standard, spacious and well-equipped. A kettle in the room would have been good! Other than that, there was nothing I didn’t like/love.

- Thomas (10/5): Lovely hotel in very convenient location. - Beautiful, newer, modern hotel right downtown….close to shops and restaurants. Everything was walkable. Our room was quite large, very well appointed. There was a lovely walk-in shower with plenty of towels. The facilities are lovely, and the staff was great. When we checked in we were helped by Renee. Too many times desk personnel make you feel you are taking up their time. Not with Renee….she was very friendly and helpful. There was just one negative, and that was the lobby bar. My husband wanted an after dinner drink, and ordered a brandy. He was given the smallest drink we have ever seen for $15. My husband doesn’t believe in asking prices ahead of time. Can’t recommend the lounge.

- Jimmy (8/5): Horrible due to the location of the room - We stayed in room 350. Unfortunately a bar was right outside our window. Very noisy a lot of screaming and shouting on top of the band playing. I get it that’s what that’s all about but we were trying to get a good nights sleep because we had a big day ahead of us and it didn’t stop till 2 AM and we had to be up at 5 AM. If management doesn’t make this right we will take our next step. We couldn’t sleep due to the noise

Only problem (and it was a big one) is our room was directly across from a bar that was packed with college students and played music until 2AM. I even had ear plugs and it did not drown out the noise. We asked to be moved but were told there were no available rooms. Everything else was great; however, that was so unacceptable that we will not be staying there again. We paid for a place to sleep and were not provided that. They did comp breakfast and parking which was something.

The atmosphere of the hotel was really nice, clean, an - Loved a lot, but I have to say the beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in. I typically can’t sleep in hotels and here I slept throughout the night. I also love that the room was completely dark, which you really can’t find in most hotels. Having to pay for breakfast

- Gretchen (10/5): Great place to feel at home when visiting Chapel Hill. - Perfect place for walking around Chapel Hill and UNC. Great staff who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed as well as we got our Marriott points. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, hard and noisy.

- Richard (8/5): Communication and service could be better - Room housekeeping at check-in was arranged for every other day; if check-in is day1, then daily housekeeping would start on day2 while every-other day would bring housekeeping on day3 and day5 of the 6-day stay. However, by end of day3, no housekeeping had occurred. I brought this to the attention of the person at the front desk; apparently, that person counts days differently than I do. All in all, poor communication from the front desk. Breakfast buffet appears okay but certainly not at European standards....but trying to order a la carte, though on the menu, is trying. Oatmeal on day2 was excellent, whereas on day3 it was terrible: the restaurant host was rather unconvincing in her "apology" and offered me nothing as compensation.
