The cats were adorable too and a huge plus to the stay. The entire stay was very cozy, quiet and calming. Lovely atmosphere and close to bike rentals too! perhaps can have in-house bike rental services

• Dorota (10/5): A perfect hotel in the Sun Moon Lake area - We spent there 2 nights and we regret that we didn't stay longer. - Perfect location within walking distance to the town's center, but on a side, calm street - the hotel has a very elegant, modern design. Small details refer to cats, but it's not overdone. Our room was spacious and comfortable - there're 7 cats living there, but it's still very clean. The cats are cute, but rather keep to themselves, so they don't bother the guests in any way - the breakfast was nice - the staff is professional and helpful

• Gavin (9/5): Excellent - Excellent hotel near Sun Moon Lake. Very friendly staff and cute cats! Perfectly clean rooms and common areas. Highly recommended. Location is good for access to Sun Moon Lake via a short walk. Would stay again. Breakfast was the only thing that could be improved. It’s a set breakfast but perhaps choice would be better. Eg it would be nice to be able to choose more fresh fruit rather than having to have the cooked breakfast.

• Michael (10/5): - This was a very cute cat themed B&B. When we were there they had 7 cats! the cats were all very friendly and we did not notice any smells or problems with them. The morning food was delicious. The area is safe but if walking from the bus stop along the main road you'll need to be careful when you have all of your luggage as the street vendors can take up the entire sidewalk and the road can be somewhat busy. The local restaurants close somewhat early so plan on going to dinner by 5 to have more options. Overall clean and spacious room with a great shower that is just a little walk from all Shuishe has to offer.

• Kathleen (10/5): Relaxing home by the Lake - The Doris Home is a special place. The staff and surroundings make you feel like you are at home. It is uniquely beautiful, relaxing and very convenient to all the sites in SML. The staff is exceptionally helpful in every way. And the breakfast thoughtful and delicious. Having beautiful cats around is fun Nothing.

But seriously, I absolutely loved this hotel, out of my all my stays in Taiwan this was my favorite stay! The property was clean, the hostess spoke perfect English and the hotel was situated near everything but was in a quiet area so there was little to no street noise. I’m definitely staying at this hotel the time I’m in Sun Moon Lake!

• Chia Ling (10/5): 舒適的住宿品質 - 入住當天就會先電話確定抵達時間跟是否有開車，並告知有預留一個停車位。 民宿從路口的路牌上，轉角的牆壁上，都出現可愛的貓咪指標，一抵達民宿，方便停車的停車場一字排開，建築物外觀氣派又溫馨，一下車馬上看到兩隻可愛的貓咪。 民宿裡面處處有著可愛的裝飾，很多細微的小細節都可以看得出民宿主人的用心。 公共區域佈置的明亮舒適，也有免費的咖啡可以飲用，貓貓們不時會出現走動，甚至會一起搭電梯上樓。 這次入住三樓跟四樓兩種房型，空間都蠻寬敞，浴室是淋浴式，三樓房間有一個戶外陽台。 民宿裡面也有樓梯可以走，但是為了避免打擾到住客，晚上跟清晨只能搭乘電梯，另外小朋友也不能入住，大大增加住宿時的舒適安寧👍 早餐為套餐式，這次入住是吃法式吐司，飲料可以續杯，如果吃不飽還可以烤土司。 住宿期間服務人員都很親切，也很有耐心，環境也打掃的很乾淨，不會因為有貓貓們就有異味或是貓毛很多等等，品質非常有水準，讓人下次還想再來🐱

We had to leave early and were kindly given a pack lunch to take. As everything shuts so early in the area it would have been useful if they sold snacks or had some beers available in the evening.

• Akiyo (10/5): - 猫がいるホテルです。現在は8匹いるみたい。バス停からも徒歩5分以内で、水社埠頭にも徒歩圏内。猫がたくさんいるとは思えないくらい清潔で、臭いもしないし、猫ちゃんたちは人馴れしていてすごく可愛かった。ホテルのスタッフもみなさん親切で、お姉さんが日本語を話せるので優しくしていただきました。コーヒーやお水も飲み放題、朝食も8、9、10時と選べて、美味しい洋食をいただきました。リビング・ダイニングルームも、宿泊したお部屋も猫モチーフだらけで、すごく素敵でした。水回りも設備ばっちりで紙はトイレに流せます。アメニティも揃っていて、ただコンディショナーはなかったくらいです。でもほんと気にならないくらい良かった。日月潭は日本から遠いけど、本当に素晴らしいホテルだったのでまた是非伺いたいです。朝食の猫モチーフの木製の器がすごく気になったので売ってるお店を聞けば良かったなと後悔したくらい。ありがとうございました！

The staff was very friendly and helpful for any tips around SML. Overall we had a great stay (tasty breakfast was included) and big bonus points were the friendly cats!

We really enjoyed watching and interacting with the cats and were surprised by how immaculately clean the whole facility was. My husband is allergic to cats but he had no issues here as the cats aren’t allowed in the rooms and the public spaces are kept clean. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure. It was a flat and easy few minutes walk from the main bus station. I wish we could have stayed longer! A laundry facility was the only aspect missing

Special thank to Kim Hsu for your help and promptness with email correspondence (Kim help tremendously with logistic for bus from Alishan to Sun Moon Lake and from Sun Moon Lake to Taichung. I felt well taken care off and Doris Home will make sure you'll have any information you need. Our room deluxw double room was spacious, clean, comfortable. Soaking tub and provided bath salt was fantastic. Shower area even though not completely enclosed, the floor dried very fast kudos for design :) all the cats are very mellow so no worries if you are not into cats. Bus stop, ferry station is very close and walkable...super convenient. I highly recommend this cute place and would stay here again

It's a great location and so much fun to see all the cats living in the public areas. The breakfast and coffee was very good. The rooms are large and comfortable. Parking is easy.
