Guest Reviews
- 崔建伟 (10/5): - 老板特别热情为我找导游包车司机。十分感谢
- Marek (10/5): Very comfortable hotel in Paro - Wonderful location with a view of Paro River and mountains. Walking distance to the main street of Paro, with restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops. On-site vegetarian restaurant with good selection of Bhutanese and Indian food. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
- psramkumar (8/5): -
- Marcin (10/5): - Super sweet staff, great breakfast with a nice view, big and comfortable room, hot water in the shower There was a construction next door (early April 2026) but all the noises stopped at the evening
- Junteng (6/5): 非常一般 - 位置 据说出发早会帮客人打包早餐但这天说厨房没上班做不了鸡蛋,就单方面认为不需要早餐
- Andy (8/5): - Nice hotel in paro.
It was clean and nice shower The breakfast is more. Even it is packed lunch , they served the same sandwich and mayo which was not good.
- Silvia (8/5): Warm room and good service. - I had a nice spacious room. And even though it was still cold outside the room was warm with a heater. All was good.
- Rishika (7/5): - Good place. The staff person Sonam was very helpful . Food was good too
- Jonas (8/5): Good value for money hotel in Paro with friendly staff. - Friendly staff, complimentary breakfast, and overall good value for money. The linen had several visible stains, and the hot water supply was limited.
- Prakash (8/5): -
- koel (9/5): -
- Andrei (7/5): Acceptable for the price - The price per night was ok. The room wasn’t fully cleaned and it was very cold as there was no A/C ( for heating ) except 1 small radiator that wouldn’t heat the room enough.
- Miguel (10/5): excelente - el sitio es perfecto, todos los servicios alrededor y buena ubicación. Personal super atento deberían poner una cafetera express
- Krystian (9/5): A very good stay in Paro - very cosy hotel with all amenities the smell in the room, probably the piping was the issue..
- Yumi (9/5): - 朝食はおいしかった 部屋寒かった
- Julian (9/5): - I had a very comfortable stay. The hotel is well located at one end of the main street and near the small bus station. Rooms are modern with a comfortable bed, TV with plenty of satellite channels and a kettle. The bathroom is a good size with an excellent shower. Staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful, responding quickly to any issues. Breakfast lacks some variety but is plentiful.
- Kathrine (7/5): Sweet little hotel and lovely staff. - A good location, a little walk from the town centre. Very simple accommodation but super clean and the staff were extremely helpful. I am a vegan and after a false start and a disastrous breakfast of gluggy pasta and fried coleslaw sandwiches, one of the staff directed the chef to cook a lovely breakfast of mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach. Like all Bhutanese Western style accommodation, they need to provide no meat and dairy options on their menu.
- aaron (9/5): great staff, comfortable room - nice rooms, nice staff breakfast could have been more continental maybe, was mainly indian food
- Fenella (8/5): An excellent location in Paro - An excellent breakfast with a good choice of food. Very good location as we sat on the balcony outside to eat. Quick and efficient staff. Good coffee. Nothing
- Gayatri (9/5): lovely - we enjoyed our stay - we liked our experience there - the hotel was clean - the staff friendly and made our stay comfortable Nothing really - we had a good time
- Olivier (6/5): Suited for Indians tourists - 100% for Indians only: Pure veg, slamming doors, ringing by mistakes at my room...
- Jatin (9/5): Great stay for vegetarians! - I was travelling with family, and we prefer vegetarian food. To our amazement, the property had good vegetarian options, and they were also willing to accommodate special requests (if intimated in advance). The property is also conveniently located from the main market, and has great view outside. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
- Derik (10/5): I would highly recommend to family and friends. - Great stay and the staff was amazing.
- Kumar (7/5): Good -
- Md (10/5): Location is good place - Good Not bad
- Chris (10/5): Lovely rooms, lovely people! - I had a clean, beautiful room with a private balcony and great view. The staff were wonderfully accommodating. They arranged my taxis and driver and answered many questions. I’ve seldom got such value for the price.
- Nick (10/5): Nice quiet place to stay on the edge of Paro. - Nice place on the edge of Paro, but within walking distance to all the souvenir shops. The food served in the restaurant was very nice as well. It is around a 5 min drive to the airport and they provide a packed breakfast if you need to check out early (most flights leave Paro in the morning). Happily recommend this place to anyone visiting Paro.
- Sakib (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diego (8/5): Place to be in Paro - Had a great stay at Khamsum! The staff was super helpful and went out of their way to make my trip comfortable. The location is perfect—right on the main road and close to restaurants and shops. They kindly packed me breakfast when I left early for the Tiger’s Nest hike and even helped me book a relaxing massage afterward. Totally recommended for anyone visiting the area!
- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ahuja (9/5): Superb -
- CLAS (10/5): - Central in Paro.Paro is smaller than Thimbu and acording my oppinion more worth visiting. Depending of time of visit you may need varm clouth because nighttime it can be below 0 degrees celsius.
It is amzing there still is a people not destroid by civilisation. They are genuin friendly and you will not see "white trash" in Bhutan. The fee 100 USD per night is used for free school and healthcare for the local people.
I visited Bhutan first time 20 years ago and it is still the same-the new is mobilophone and excelcellent internet.
- Bhanu (10/5): Great hotel and staff - Bhutan has a good king, friendly people and it shows in the service wherever you go. Khamsum staff did a great job to provide me with a nice room, timely room service and breakfast. Sonam at the front desk is a good example for service excellence. Thank you Khamsum team and look forward to a future visit at your location Cannot think of anything I didn't like.
- Deepak (10/5): Highly recommeded - Lovely hotel close to everything in Paro. The front desk staff were amazingly friendly. The room was spacious, nice hot shower, breakfast was good, wifi was adequate. Enough plug points accommodating both US/EU plugs. They took INR as well.
- Hung (10/5): Solo Traveler - Location is great as it is in the city center. Staff are friendly and helpful, they do the best to assist their guests.
- Hung (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lahiri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yasmin (8/5): Lovely - Delightful and helpful staff. Clean, good sized and comfortable rooms. A short maybe 300 metre walk to the main strip. They couldn’t provide ice for our drinks for our room, or chilled wine for our first night - they chilled wine for us for the second night though, food could be improved on, it’s vegetarian too which we didn’t realise.
- Wally (9/5): This is a small friendly vegetarian Hotel in the centre of Paro highly recommended - No.1 The staff without exception were wonderful special mention to Choezang Lhamo and Yeshi Lhamo they go beyond service excellence. The location is excellent in the centre of Paro. Everything was 100%
- Alvaro (7/5): Cozy hotel which needs better beds - Great location in the Main Street of Paro and at a walking distance from all the restaurants and shops. All the furniture was wooden and made it look cozy. Bathroom was good and had plenty of hot water. 1. The bed: the matress was hard like a stone. One of the worst beds I ever slept on. I really don’t understand who choose such a hard matress
2. Breakfast: extremely basic
- Chun (10/5): Exceptional - 10 out of 10. Staffs were super nice ,they also help u to organize tour and guides . Breakfast was good ! Highly recommended.
- Md (10/5): It was a short and memorable stay at Paro with my family. - Incredible view from our mountain-view room (room 401). Excellent location in the town, away from the noise of the city centre. Cordial staffs. Nice buffet breakfast. Great value for the money. Lighting in the middle of the room (room 401) can be improved.
- Sharon (8/5): I’m glad I stayed here. I felt like I was in Bhutan, not in a western hotel that was in Bhutan. - The staff was warm, spoke excellent English. They repeatedly asked if they could help me in any way. The room was very clean. There was plenty of hot water and the shower was great. The bed was comfortable. It was quiet. It was an easy walk to nearby restaurants. I’m an eighty-year-old woman and I felt safe walking to the restaurant alone at night. It’s across the street from an auto repair business so the view is not relaxing.
- Bram (10/5): Amazing stay, family vibe but still professional. Would stay here again definitely. - They provided a breakfast box for my early departure
- Abdullah (9/5): Superb - Center location in Paro. Close to taxi stand and walking distance to Rstaurants and shops.
- Garima (6/5): Centrally located but one can find better accommodations for the same price - Perfect location Average services, limited food choices, the whole place had a strange smell and looked run down
- Arthit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Prasenjit (9/5): Superb -
- Leslie (9/5): Very friendly n courteous staff - Neat n clean
- Nazmun (5/5): Passable -
- Nazmun (5/5): I would suggest them to improve amenities compared to the price. - Location Price is not worthy comparing to the facility. Additionally their booking system is glitched. It was showing $22 while I booked it charged $31.
- Zuzana (9/5): Superb - Really lovely hotel with a ftiendly staff. I liked the decor of the room, it had a feeling of a very comfortable mountain chalet. We also had a view to the river and we could hear it at night through open windows, which was great. The food was very good and the staff very accommodating. Would stay again
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Ping (6/5): Overall a pleasant stay - Even though a construction site is located right across, the noise control is unexpectedly well. At times I am greeted with smiles upon entering the premise. Apparently more supervision in staff management is needed. I understand it may be a norm to hire some apprentices in delivering some of the services, for better or worse they need more on-the-job training and monitoring to keep up with the service expectation associated with a three-star accommodation, as illustrated below.
The existence of spider web in the room puts the cleanliness into question.
In the bathroom they may consider to install a shower curtain.
On the night before my departure I asked for a pre-packed breakfast as I have an early flight out. Apparently the communication was lost. No such package could be located by the receptionist upon checking out.
They may also learn not to disclose guest's personal particulars to a third party without consent.
- Neeraj (7/5): Good -
- Thomas (8/5): One of the Best Hotels in town - Perfect location and staff Therre was nothing to complain but more basic than other Bhuthan Hotels
- Chowdhury (7/5): Overall satisfactory - Breakfast was okay. Stay was also fine Not applicable
- Roy (10/5): Courtesy but slow service - Courtesy very much Slow service
- Prasenjit (9/5): Superb -
- Indu (9/5): Superb - Centrally located in the market with many restaurants and shops nearby.
- Shu (9/5): Superb - All good. Staff super nice.
- Suzanne (10/5): Great spot in Paro - The interior decoration was wonderful. It was comfortable and despite construction nearby it was very peaceful and we rested very well here. The staff and services were amazing and the location fantastic. I highly recommend especially their driver - he was the best!
- Suman (9/5): Good experience at Khamsum Inn, Paro - The location was very close to the city. Nothing as such. We had some issue with the door and they tried their best to solve it.
- Sajith (10/5): Exceptional - Behavior of the staffs, cleanness of the room
- Charlotte (6/5): Pleasant - Good location, friendly staff. Room was quite cold, poor heating system. Bed was rock solid.
- Xavier (10/5): Highly recommended - Excellent service and facilities. Great location and very nice room.
- Omkar (9/5): Superb -
- Sayel (9/5): Well located, good value for money and wonderful staff - The staff was incredible friendly and kind, very helpful. The location and price were also really good. Also the room was big with everything I needed The breakfast could be improved
- Noah (8/5): Clean Room & Good Location; Not so Great Staff - Good location, clean, comfortable room, but staff not friendly or welcoming,
- Lodovica (8/5): Recommended for a stay in Paro, very good value for money and centrally located - Hotel Khamsum has everything you need, it’s centrally located, staff are very kind, rooms are warm and clean Wifi is a bit weak and breakfast was not good
- Satyajit (10/5): Excellent budget friendly hotel in downtown Paro - Excellent hotel in an affordable price. Food and hospitality was great. Close to the downtown market area. I was not sure about the fire evacuation plan in case of any eventuality.
- Philippwiesel (10/5): Perfect stay - Everything, I loved the place. -
- Sounak (8/5): Very good -
- Pb (10/5): Good to go - Na Na
- Harish (9/5): A relaxed comfortable stay in Paro - I was quite touched by the warmth and hsopitality offered by the hotel staff who were so friendly, caring and dependable. In the night, when the area lights had gone off I and my colleague rushed to the hotel requesting to prepare dinner for us. And the entire staff spontaneously was at work. to ensure we get tasty, yummy fried rice and manchurian cooked in 20 -25 mns. Also they were kind to get the next day breakfast ready in 10 -12 mns as we had to checkout at 7.15 am. Nothing specific as such
- Subba (9/5): Location of the hotel is very convenient and that makes it awesome. Also to add up the hotel is very well maintained. St - The hotel is located at the heart of Paro, which makes it convenient for tourists in so many ways. Also very clean and well maintained. I have nothing that I haven’t liked about the property but just a small feedback, it would be great if you could add some local cuisine to your menu.
- Roldan (6/5): Pleasant - Well situated, good breakfast. Check out was messy: we had a flight to take, the credit card terminal wasn't working and the team told us for 20 minutes they would fine a solution while they weren't actually looking for one, we had to run for an ATM last minute. The price was higher than the price on Booking and almost 50% more than other guests we knew that didn't book through booking. I would not book again here.
- Bunty (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shivam (8/5): Very good -
- Vens1 (9/5): Great view from balcony in room above - Good location in Paro. Hot shower, good wifi, clean, comfortable. Good great view from balcony. Friendly helpful staff. Payment was not possible with credit card (even though cc payment is advertised in booking description)
- Pushpa (8/5): good value for money - good location , friendly staff Don’t accept credit cards
- Berry (9/5): Superb - It's location,on main road, comfortable sray etc.. Nothing.
- Joy (10/5): Exceptional - Good breakfast
Excellent location
- Puneetgupta (6/5): Pleasant - Breakfast was not too good. Very few options
Wifi in the room was too slow or unstable
Doors were tough to lock and unlock
- Thais (7/5): Good - good location there is a construction behind the property until 10pm and they start in the morning at 8AM. breakfast could be better
- Md (10/5): Exceptional -
- Giorgio (8/5): perfect hotel - Very Good
- Rakhee (8/5): Ok - Staff was excellent. Esp Kinley. She helped me a lot. I was disappointed with continuous power failure and then i got stuck in lift with no alarm
- Mark (9/5): Great. Looking forward to coming back when in Paro. - The room was large, comfortable, and well-heated with lots of windows. Nice views. Kinley easily accommodated my more complicated than usual documentation needs for reimbursement by my organization. Staff was friendly and easy to talk to. Food was tasty and healthy. Room service was very smooth. Very minor: as in most hotels I've stayed at in Bhutan, there was a small leak around the base of the toilet. A small hand towel ameliorated that easily.
- Rajoo (10/5): Great Location, Amazing staff! - Great location, clean room, quality food and amazing staff. They gave me very helpful tips for shopping and placess to see. Manager of the Hotel went out of the way to help me out when I had trouble with my Guide.
