• John (8/5): Really good option in Decorah - Great location, right off the highway. Limited but use useful and clean workout facility. They had a working EV charger, which made this trip possible for me. Thin walls and noisy neighbors.

• Seoulolife (8/5): Temper your expectations - I stay at this Marriott property in Decorah, Iowa because of my loyalty to the brand. The hotel is clean, modern, and conveniently located, though rates are higher than other local options. My main area for improvement is service consistency. During several stays, I’ve noticed that elite recognition is limited—for example, complimentary water is not provided in the rooms, and requests for it have been declined. While this may be policy, it impacts the overall guest experience for loyal members. Overall, this property meets my needs when visiting family, but if another Marriott option were available in the area, I would likely consider it.

• Rutkoff (10/5): We had never stayed at Fairfield and we will definitely stay again(despite the two sour apples!). - room was large and comfortable, all female was staff and the man who checked us in late-night were very friendly; the front desk, dining room and clean up service were all very kind, smiles and welcoming Two male desk workers were not helpful or friendly, complete with snarly eyes and demeanors. I think they hated their lot in life so being in the public eye may not be the best job choice for them.

We were there for an event with other families, so it was perfect for the teenagers, as well as the adults to have space to socialize. The pool room is small and very loud. Our kids were the only ones in there at one time and your voices just echoed off the walls.
