• temika (8/5): The stay overall was Great! Beautiful Rooftop bar view - The breakfast was good! It took 4 hours to find a parking spot because we were not informed of the police would be blocking the hotel! Just coming in from a Seven hour drive,We should have been informed on what was going on! We had no idea and after contacting the hotel they were clueless as well! All they could say is We are sorry but at that point we didn’t want nothing but to get to our hotel We had to park Five miles away and walk with luggage It was horrible And paid twice for parking when parking was supposed to be free! Booking .com told us one price and got there and it was another! Several fees that I was not aware of but I had to just get in my room and deal with the payment issue later! Booking.com took no responsibility for giving me a price that specifically stated that taxes were included! I love to know what to expect when paying for hotel stays! Expedia would never!!!!

I had to call the internet service number to get it working better. The tv remote still lagged. Also I bumped my shoulder on the television. It’s in a horrible location. The opposite wall would have been better.

The location was great and the staff was top notch- very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel team really took the experience over the top.

• 239erichd (10/5): Great week at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott New Orleans Downtown/Canal Street - Great week at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott New Orleans Downtown/Canal St My girlfriend and I stayed a week and I spent hours deciding on which Bonvoy Hotel to choose and glad I choose this one. The location is great, 1/2 mile walk to the French Quarter or take the trolley (get a cheap Jazzy Pass that covers all buses, street cars and the Algiers Ferry. We road all 6 street car lines and the ferry and St. Charles line was a highlight as was the ferry. There are 2 lines that stop 1 block from the hotel that goes down to the ferry and waterfront or to the cemeteries or the huge city park with museum. The rooms are nice and big as we got a king with kitchen with a great view and the breakfast was good. Latanya was amazing at the front desk our whole stay and even lent us a blender so I could make smoothies from buffet breakfast juice, fruit and yogurt. All the front desk staff and bartenders and door people and housekeeping were amazing and super friendly, especially the maintenance guys and front desk. Another bonus of this hotel is the rooftop 14th floor bar with amazing views of downtown, the French Quarter and river. You can even go up there outside when the bar is closed to hang out. I'd highly recommend this hotel since staff is great, rooms are way bigger than other Bonvoy hotels and the East side of the Tower has great close up views of downtown. If you need groceries Walgreens is 1/2 mile walk away right before Bourbon St starts with restaurants along the way. Closest restaurant is 1 block away and it's actually the best that's close. Pho Tau Bay Vietnamese, all the locals go there. If you're thinking of other Bonvoy hotels near in the same price point definitely at TownePlace Suites Canal Street.

• Sabrina (8/5): Very nice. - Breakfast was great, as far as variety was concerned. Breakfast staff were super attentive and ensure that every item was restocked before* it ran out and kept the area clean. I was very happy with the breakfast items I did get to partake of. Breakfast hours were communicated for the weekend only, (which is when we arrived) but we did miss Mondays breakfast as it ended an hour earlier than the weekend duration and we were uninformed of that handy bit of info.

Staff was friendly and attentive. The fact that it's only considered a 2-star hotel makes no sense to me. The price was right, the breakfast was heady, and I will definitely be back.

• 398yvettea (10/5): A New Orleans Gem - What a wonderful experience during turbulent times. The staff was beyond exceptional. My visit began with LaTonya welcoming me and being helpful as well as informative about all things Marriott and New Orleans. Latonya along with other staff greeted me by name each morning of my stay and the friendliness continued throughout my visit. Tenile and Diana were kind ready with smile and greeting at every encounter at Breakfast. Tenile providing me with requested sliced lemons. It's the little things like Diana's smile. I recommend this property for in town as well as out of town guests such as myself.

Si vols utiltzar el seu pàrking costa més de $40 per nit i si utilitzes el valet quasi $60. Just al costat de l'hotel hi ha un pàrking públic que ens va costar $45 per dos nits, amb impostos inclosos.

Walking distance to vibrant French Quarter and peaceful night sleep at the hotel. Good size room. Good A/C, generous bathroom. Clean room. You cannot beat the price with all what you get. Great place to stay.

Breakfast was constantly tended to by staff making sure it was clean, sanitary and refilled. The staff was pleasant, with good morning greetings and check ins to see if we needed anything. Location was great for me close enough to all the hot spots but not too close to hear all the noise from nightlife. Will definitely stay here again.

• Gina (7/5): It's okay for a stay for an overnight trip, but for a longer one, I'd stay elsewhere - Most of the staff were very friendly. They helped us order a taxi for our departure. And helped with a few extras that we needed. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was close, only about a 10 - 20 minute walk from most attractions. Only once did we have an issue with the staff, and that was at the beginning of our stay. There wasn't any hand soap or bar soap to wash our hands in the bathroom or kitchen sink. When we asked for some, the staff at the front desk seemed confused about what hand soap was, and then she said, 'Do you mean bar soap?' Yes, ma'am, that's what we meant lol. She then reluctantly pulled some out of a drawer and handed it to us. And the bar staff, upstairs and downstairs (same guy), didn't appear to enjoy working at the hotel. When breakfast is free, you don't really expect much, but it really wasn't good. The room was clean, but some areas definitely need updates.

• Kayla (10/5): Amazing staff and even more amazing location - The property was in the best location. Close enough from the Bourbon St and French Quarter noise but close enough that you could walk to everything or use the transit train. So don’t bother renting a car you probably won’t use it. Plus parking there is a bit crazy. The staff was AMAZING and super friendly!! If I ever come back to New Orleans I will be staying at this property. The only issue was the tv in the room had a bit of a blue hue but other than that everything was super clean and worked fine.

They did not explain the parking properly the lady that check the cars in said a solid price the next morning it was a double charge. They removed the parking; however, my deposit they end up keeping the full thing so I still paid for double parking it’s very unfortunate I would never go back to that place and I would prefer not to stay at anything that is linked to them.
• 271aundreal (10/5): Awesome staff! - Everyone at this hotel was so nice and helpful! From the moment we walked in all tired and bedraggled from traveling 3000 miles, just nothing but kindness! Sharice (sp) was working at the front desk and she got us squared away with a great room then let us know about the beautiful rooftop bar. We saw her again multiple times and she was always a joy. Love her even though she is an Eagles fan! Haha Shawn is the bartender at the Vue was hilarious and just fun to talk to as well. Great recommendations and knowledge of the area. Overall everyone here just took great care of us. I feel like it's my second home. Thank you all!
• Jacquin (10/5): Overall I love the whole visit everything - The staff more than anything from the front desk to the valet even the bartender I was so skeptical about the rooftop bartender at first but he end up being a good guy When I booked the hotel room I thought it was closer to the Harrah's casino that was the whole reason why I booked it but then when I realized I was nowhere near the house casino that was kind of like a damper I didn't want to have to pay valet parking and then drive all the way up to about a Harrah's casino and have to pay the park again so I end up paying between the hotel and parking for my birthday over $100
• Arielle251 (8/5): Convenient hotel. - I was in New Orleans for the Brandy & Monica “The Boy is Mine” Tour concert last weekend. I stayed at this hotel. It was a very convenient location and was overall a pretty nice hotel. The room was spacious, and I liked having the little mini kitchen and countertop. [My room had a slight urine-like smell to it, that I think was coming from the vents. I used Lysol throughout the stay; but in the future, hopefully this isn’t a problem.] The rooftop bar area and the fitness center were some good highlights.

The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful while assisting with my check in process. The hotel was nicely decorated and clean. However, the true reason for this post is to commend and highlight the valet manager, Lay. She is phenomenal and exudes the true definition of putting the customer first. She went above and beyond to assist us in finding a parking arrangement that worked best for us. She did much more than what was required and took good care of us. Her customer service was amazing and definitely was top notch. We appreciate her exceptional desire to help and will definitely be back!
