Caroline (4/5): Very disappointed - The room decor was beautiful, the reception staff were helpful printing out some paperwork, at a cost of course My first room was above the terrace bar with loud music, I complained and was given a higher room but had 2 hours wasted sorting out the new room . Apparently the 1st room I got are not usually given to guests because of the noise , the manager phoned and apologised, but a small token gesture would have been nice , my request had been for a quiet room I was staying 2 nights and wonder why as a Bonvoy member I had been singled out , need to get more customer service training across the board .

Antony (8/5): Modern contemporary hotel w - Great location. 10 min walk to bars and restaurants. Rooms were modern and well finished. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast service was a bit disjointed and could have been better. Breakfast itself was fine.
O'Boyle (8/5): Beautiful hotel, very clean and quality - Beautiful, large rooms, convenient location, helpful staff. In the middle of the night we could hear a party or rave, instead of where exactly it was coming from but it disturbed our sleep

Room was spacious, had a decent closet to hang up clothes, and the bathroom was nice and actually had a fan which a lot of places don’t. Casino in the property and close to arena makes for a different vibe and crowd, lively not relaxing. I understand some people would like that but it’s a different experience than other nice hotels for that reason.

indobram (10/5): Great hotel with awesome fitness center - This was a great stay. The fitness facility is awesome! It was spacious and even had squat racks! The lounge on the 4th floor was a pleasure to visit. I had a chance to work in the lounge and enjoyed the food and drinks. Victor's restaurant is a convenient restaurant that has great steak and sushi. I appreciate that it opens until 2200.

tshep42 (10/5): Excellent High End Hotel - The rooms are large and very clean. Well appointed with a lot of amenities, even things like make up remover & mouth wash that you don’t often get. To be picky, the one thing I noticed they didn’t have was a shaving/makeup mirror. Room was very clean. The had the room cleaned by 4:00 PM each day. Only minor complaint was that some small items were missing on different days. For example, there was no pen in the room the first day but there was one there by the second. Staff were all excellent to deal with. I liked that they sent me a text after the 1st day to ask how everything was and if there was anything I needed. Very large and well equipped gym. Location is right next to the Parq Casino and B.C. Place. Lots of dining options around in the Yaletown Neighbourhood. 7/11 down the block. No Tim’s close but a Star Bucks is opening in their lobby. They have their own restaurant as well.
dbB5611LB (4/5): Jw Marriott Vancouver - The service and overall atmosphere of the hotel were amazing — staff were friendly, professional, and the property itself is beautiful. The location and amenities definitely live up to the JW Marriott name. However, the bed comfort was a huge disappointment. After the first day, both my partner and I developed really bad back pain, and it only got worse as the stay went on. We stayed for seven nights and genuinely could not get comfortable no matter what we tried. For a hotel at this level and price point, bed comfort is non-negotiable, and this really affected our overall experience. Everything else was great, but unfortunately the bed quality alone would make me think twice about staying again. For a luxury hotel, this was a major miss.

Thankfully we had membership to their data mining loyalty programme. Still any hotel that charges for this? really? In 2026? It has been years since I came across this sort of mullarkey anywhere globally. Pathetic.

The location, room design and service were all above grade and the top-floor gym and outdoor hot tub are a real standout. Service was average and I was surprised that - when I asked for a iPhone charger to borrow because I left mine at home - I was told they could sell me one for $25 dollars.

howardxp1 (8/5): A great hotel but one major flaw! - Normally, I’d give this hotel 5 stars in a flash based on cleanliness, decor, friendliness of the staff, and proximity to cool things. But, a Totanium reviewer from the Summmer wrote about a serious flaw whereby the hotel charges about $125 for every child over 12 months in the Executive lounge. Luckily I was only with my wife but the other guest had 2 young kids. I checked and that terrible policy was still in effect. The nightly hotel charge was $400+, so that charge is a BS charge that should not be there! If management decides to remove it, then I’d go there again and perhaps bring my Grandson. The lounge food was particularly good and vegetarian friendly. Adelina Gashi was superb in all respects and really gets to know so many guests. I can imagine people returning just for her! Howard S. Rayette (10/5): Excellent location to everything!! - Kyna, the guest service’s person who checked us in was absolutely fabulous to us. We had been traveling ALL day and checked in late and they were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful.They followed up with a phone call to make certain we were comfortable and THEN sent us a special welcome gift/belated birthday gift to our room the next day!!! So thoughtful! Truthfully - everything surpassed our expectations by a million miles. We have nothing to dislike and am only writing this to meet the requirement of the survey.
675orangel (10/5): Service at its finest - Huge shoutout to the team at JW Parq Vancouver especially the service team with went above and beyond with the surprises and attentiveness during our recent stay. This is our 3rd stay here and is still the best hotel in Vancouver from the immaculate rooms, lounge and facility and proximity to heart of Vancouver. What stands out for JW Parq is the level of service that doesn’t disappoint and ever so consistent. You will be greeted and attended to from prearrival, check in and throughout the stay; it elevates the definition of what 5 star hotel service should be. Thank you again for the service team with the thoughtful goodies for our upcoming baby!

On our day of departure to the airport, on 14 Dec, around 1300hrs, your bell service young gentleman, carefully helped to load up our bags onboard the uber private hire. Even though the uber driver expressed that his car might not be able to take all our bags. So greatly appreciate the young gentleman’s kind assistance. NA

leslieshearn (10/5): Great hotel central to Vancouver BC - I enjoyed this hotel. It seems that it caters more to conferences, business meetings, and casino guests. The hotel staff is very friendly. Housekeeping was excellent. My room was a suite, so it was very large with 1 1/2 bathrooms. Bed was very comfortable. The main hotel restaurant was very good for breakfast and dinner. I didn’t have any issues while staying at the hotel. The spa was wonderful. I booked a 90 minute massage. It was wonderful.

The service offered by Maychelle Sia during an urgent matter that occurred while staying was beyond incredible! Maychelle exemplifies incredible hospitality qualities and could teach a class on how to deliver incredible service. The room had a very clean feeling to it which was really comforting. The restaurant in the lobby has a unique vibe to it and has some nice food options.

FidelCalgary (4/5): Quite disappointed - I stay in a lot of Bonvoy Premium hotels and this one was a disappointment. Recognition of the highest level of Bonvoy status is overall poor. Very stingy with commensurate room upgrades and late check out. No pool. Small outdoor hot tub. Very good fitness center. Lobby restaurant is a bit tired and needs a menu and decor review. Level of service was mediocre. It doesn’t really deliver. Location is interesting. It has some water views and it’s in an area of attractions. But it is also a sketchy area of the downtown. I think their proximity to attractions makes them feel confident they will always be busy - regardless of levels of performance and service. And they may be right. Not sure we will return.

Bernd (7/5): Tolles, schickes und modernes Hotel mit allen Annehmlichkeiten. Achtung: Kein freies Wifi - Das Hotel ist modern, hell, sauber und geschmackvoll ausgestattet. Der Divan im Zimmer war sehr angenehm für den Tagesaufenthalt. Die Rooftop-Bar mit Whirlpool ist ein Geheimtipp. Das Fitness-Studio ist super. Das Frühstück war inklusive. Dass man dafür nur ein festgelegtes "Make it yours" aus der Zimmerservice-Karte bekam, fand ich schade und bei dem Preis (480 EUR/Nacht) auch kleinlich. Da hätte ich gerne freie Auswahl gehabt. Was allerdings serviert wurde, war qualitativ sehr gut und auch reichlich. Ebenfalls kleinlich und nicht angemessen, ist, dass es freien Wifi-Zugang nur für Mariott-Bonvoi-Mitglieder gibt. Mich nervt diese penetrante Mitgliederanwerbung in den Mariotthotels schon länger. Aber dass man jetzt auch noch 14 Euro am Tag fürs Internet von Nichtmitgliedern kassiert, ist schon dreist. Die Fenster sind alle mit kleinen, weißen Punkten versehen, so kann man keine gescheiten Bilder von der tollen Aussicht machen. Das ist schade.

509keegand (8/5): Great service and location, but elite recognition and “water view” disappointed - I stayed for a week on holiday and the location is excellent — about two minutes to False Creek for a lovely stroll and a short walk to Yaletown’s restaurants. As a Titanium member, recognition at check-in was underwhelming. I appreciate the hotel was busy, but there was no upgrade, my high-floor preference wasn’t honoured, and there was no welcome gift. I was told we had “a really nice room overlooking the water”, but on the 9th floor the outlook was mainly the car park with just a glimpse of water — not what I expected after paying extra for a water view. On the plus side, the rooms are large and comfortable with effective air con, Illy coffee and tea, and Molton Brown toiletries. The gym is spacious, though the plunge pool is tiny with only a handful of loungers — fine for a quick dip, but don’t expect much more. Dining felt limited for a hotel of this size. The lobby bar/restaurant was friendly with good service. The bar next door in the sister hotel was far too loud for us, and there’s also a steak restaurant. There’s a small rooftop bar which I was told is outsourced. We had lounge access: the space is large and clean, food and soft drinks are good (nice Illy coffee), and alcohol is chargeable. Staff were excellent and very welcoming — special thanks to Adelina, who was outstanding. Overall, I’m rating it 4 stars. Despite the hiccups with elite benefits and the view, it’s a modern hotel in a great location with genuinely good service. I would recommend, especially for the service.
