• Simone (8/5): - Hervorragende Lage in Ari! Sicher und bewacht, nur 4 Minuten zur BTS und unzählige Restaurants direkt vor der Tür. Auch der 'Villa Market' (tolles europäisches Sortiment) ist schnell erreicht. Trotz der Nähe zum Geschehen ist es eine sehr ruhige Oase. Leider war die Klimaanlage in meinem Zimmer defekt und ließ sich nicht einstellen. Das Ergebnis war ein ständiger Wechsel zwischen Hitze und Kälte. Für den Preis erwarte ich eine funktionierende Temperaturregelung.

And it was really really clean, so that was nice. The staff is not really there and also don't really speak English, so you don't really get service if you need something. • Darren (3/5): - Good location. My first day in Thailand after 2 days of travelling. Arrived to find my room had been booked out to someone else by the owner, even though I’d booked it 10 months in advance
• Terry (9/5): Beautiful house, quiet street, great area, good connections - Overall, exceptional decor in a very clean, comfortable environment, with an almost classical feel, with traditional artworks and ornaments in the public areas, high ceilings and a beautiful, polished darkwood floors and staircases. Effectively, it's really a quite posh two-storey townhouse, in a quiet area. The house is situated in a broad, private street, well-located for enjoying Ari's lively streets and accessing the tube (5 mins walk) which gives good access to more central destinations. Tea, coffee etc are provided down in the limited (eg no sink) kitchen facility on the ground floor. Room cleaning was good if requested. Spacious bathroom, very comfortable bed, good sized room. We arrived extremely early after an overnight train, and we were checked-in immediately, for a five night stay. These comments should be read in the context that, overall, The Lek Aree was an excellent base for five days in Bangkok. However, there were one or two areas that could be improved. After a couple of days our bathroom, generally very clean, started to smell a bit whiffy in that toilety/drainy way you sometimes get in public toilets. Re peace and quiet, although it's generally peaceful, anyone who's allergic to the sound of screaming children might want to consider an alternative, as the property houses some young ones who can make a lot of piercing noise in the corridors at times. The cleaning of the guests' kitchen area did not keep up with usage, the bin is too small and was overflowing with rubbish for more than a day until something was said about it, and the surfaces did not get wiped very regularly, even if the area was getting a lot of use. Hotel-type service is very minimal unless requested and reception almost never manned - it's not a hotel in the traditional sense, but something like having a serviced apartment, with staff in the building but largely invisible most of the time. Rooms are up two flights of stairs, with no lift or assistance with bag carrying, which won't suit everyone The hotel frontage is very discreet, so it can take a little while to locate once you find the street. As a suggestion, although some bottled water is provided, a water filter for guests' use would make this a more environmentally-friendly place to stay. A translation app proves useful for communicating with staff.

The bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom clean with a hot shower. There was also a large dressing area. You have access to the kitchen for tea, coffee etc. I really could not recommend it enough. Very close by is Landhaus a fabulous bakery and cafe which serves a great breakfast, also a little further on is Yellow Lane cafe again amazing food and very comfortable. Nothing

But it’s a lovely area. 8 minute walk to BTS which ferries you all over where you need to go. The building is beautiful. For the price, this is a good option. Staff very indifferent. • Deliza (8/5): - Het verblijf ligt aan een prachtige, rustige straat en is echt heel stil, wat het ideaal maakt om goed te slapen. Het bed lag heerlijk en de kamer was comfortabel. De wijk aree is een gezellige wijk met veel leuke eetgelegenheden. Voor het oog is het verblijf prettig en aangenaam. Het personeel spreekt nauwelijks Engels en is niet bijzonder vriendelijk, meer neutraal. Daarnaast ligt de wijk Aree wat verder van de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden van Bangkok. De kamer was best wel donker.

• Squenz (10/5): - Dsd Hotel ist ein wunderschönes viktorianisches Haus, liebevoll bis ins kleinste Detail eingerichtet. Es befindet sich in einer absolut ruhigen Straße, nur fünf Gehminuten von einer BTS-Station entfernt. Auch zahlreiche Busverbindungen sind bequem erreichbar.Mein Zimmer war großzügig geschnitten, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und das Bett äußerst komfortabel. In einer offenen Küche im Erdgeschoss kann man rund um die Uhr Kaffee oder Tee zuzubereiten, selbst eine Mikrowelle steht zur Verfügung. Nichts. In der Gegend ist nicht sehr viel los, aber es gibt viele Möglichkeiten fußläufig etwas zu essen .

• Taj (8/5): Cute little place in Ari. - This was a great little place tucked away from the busyness of Bangkok. Ari is a great neighbourhood full of great spots to eat. Comfortable and clean rooms, with kitchen downstairs for making breakfast in the morning. Pillows and beds a little hard, but getting use to that in Thailand.

• Debbie (3/5): Creepy place with no other guests and no staff presence at all - Decor and actual building was beautiful. Room was spacious and clean. Hotel in good location. Absolutely NO staff presence....my mother, who was the guest, could never find anyone to speak to. Nobody at reception, no other guests. Quite a creepy place. There was one staff member from Myanmar who couldn't speak a word of English (She thinks he was the security guard, but was mostly not around). He couldn't get the TV in the bedroom to work and again, no other staff to speak to. The AC in her room was exceptionally loud, and there were also no windows to open.

• Benny (9/5): - The host was very helpful. The location is great, clean & quite neighborhood. Room was spacious & clean. It is a 4 story building & they don't have an elevator - that is the only issue which I found.
• Marina Luar (6/5): - The interior decoration was charming, and the location was very good. Staff was not trained or prepared for working at client's attention. Not even a "Good morning" , "Thank you" or "Khap kun khap". There was no room service or information at all.

• Karunasena (9/5): Excellant place in Payathai - Excellent place for a family. Very good space in room. Bath room also excellent. Tea making facility also gave a refreshment in all the time. Recommended for any guest going to Bangkok. Walkable distance from" Ari" rail station.
