- Aline (7/5): -
- Sergio (7/5): Nice Sleep - The location was the best.Paola was very nice with me. Is difficult to find the place..even with gp..but l think, this is normal in Venice.
- Edwar Cesar (4/5): -
- Edson (10/5): 21-03-2026 Adoramos a estadia tudo perto casa acolhedora tranquila. Obrigado - Localização, tranquilidade Um pouco caro qualidade e relação ao preço. Mas no centro está óptimo
- Irene (7/5): -
- Freya (6/5): Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt gut geeignet. - Gute Atmosphäre! Viele Stiegen
- Alison (8/5): The Best Location - Great Location, 8 minute walk from ferry. Lovely, sunny terrace to enjoy breakfast and a friendly cat. Great room. Best location, walking distance to all the main locations. Great for single travellers. Stairs leadjng to apartment, ...however that is written in the description, so it didn't worry me.

- César (8/5): Nice Days in Venice - We had good days in Venice with Paola and her cat Houdini. The place is very nice in a good location and a good balance between cost and facilities. For sure it is a Real B&B and you should use it as it and spent your time visiting Venice. You shouldn´t expect in this building Luxury but it is real Venice´s place MAybe I expect more variety at breakfast. Just Croissant, bread and yogurth. I would like to have more kind of food including eggs or cheese. It could be better for next time
- Ingela (8/5): We were satisfied - The breakfast was perfect for kids

- Hedegaard (3/5): Poor - Location Interior. Friendliness of host. Breakfast
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant - It was clean and a good location for the main attractions with a welcoming host It’s a bit dated but everything does the job
- Isaac (10/5): Amazing host! - It’s very center located and the host is lovely! Just good things about the place!
- Birute (10/5): Exceptional - Dona Paola was very friendly and nice. B&B is in an excellent place in Venice, near San Marco square. It was very comfortable and cosy.
- Joshua (7/5): Perfect for a good location on a budget - Great location with a friendly host It's simple, but good for the more affordable cost.
- Andy (7/5): Good - location squeaky noise door will wake up my friends in the room at night.
- Kim (7/5): Good - Very close and convenient place to stay in Venice. Paola is wonderful and so is the cat!
- Pearson (8/5): We enjoyed the quiet location after the bustle of Venetian days - Paola was an excellent host. The property was ultra clean and the room spacious Nothing
- Lynda (9/5): Good old-fashioned B&B! - Friendly and helpful host. Great location. Houdini the resident cat 😻
- Barney (9/5): Superb -
- Aisea (8/5): Venice family stay ❤️ 💙 - It was convenient and close to most things. Laundry and supermarket and main attractions. Very homely and Italian home feel. Paulo was great. Nice coffee in the mornings. It was cosy and beds were a bit squeaky but great value for $
- Carol (6/5): Average place to stay - Easy walk from st marks sq The stairs with luggage
- Etemcan (10/5): Pleasant stay - The property were clean, the host were kind, gentle and friendly, we were welcomed warmly
- Joseph (7/5): Excellent location. Ensure air conditioning is working before you book - Great location, away from the tourist traffic, nice and quiet with some nice restaurants around. Breakfast in the morning was included which was nice. A nice shared terrace to eat on. No air conditioning was a real issue. Can get extremely hot and humid in Venice, the room became very humid. Without air conditioning or a fan, our only option was to open the windows, which lead to mosquitoes in the room. Very difficult time sleeping here. Staff were fine, seemed a bit distant and short.
- Liina (7/5): Good -
- Aldona (6/5): Pleasant -
- Daniela (10/5): Very spacious, clean and comfortable place to stay. Near all main attractions - The house has a Venezian style.
Paola was very nice to me and offered help to travel.
- Amal (3/5): I wont come back - Location and price nothing morel Dark entry , scary you cant see, rude owner, no smile no talk. Breakfast very bad, even the coffee not edible
- Renata (6/5): Won't come back again - Place is clean but like most of places in Venice has a strange smell. Also dirty sock from previous people left behind the chair. Bathroom facilities was very clean and had everything we needed. Expected a bit more for breakfast like eggs or some normal healthy food. But get only coffee, juice or tea and toasted bread with nutella or jam. Jogurt or croissant was also available.
Great place as has the balcony where can spend a bit of time as well
Great place as very close to town centre Breakfast
- Barbara (8/5): Very good - The location couldn't be better, the whole house is very clean
- Tommaso (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tamar (8/5): Very good -
- Dave (10/5): We couldn't have found any better host than Paola - We had an amazing stay in Venice and our host was fabulous. We arrived late but she was there to welcome us . The rooms were big, cozy and clean. We felt like we were at our home rather than in hotel.
She helped us with the information we were lacking and it made our trip much easier. See you next time; until then only good memories!!
- Sarina (8/5): Good Location - The location was great & bedroom was decent. Could walk to nearest public water transport or walk to attractions
- Alias (9/5): Satisfying apartment - Cozy apartment with kitchen facilites. Clean and clear instructions from the host Sharing the bathroom
- Najla (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable
- Ugur (8/5): Very good -
- Sulwen (8/5): Great authentic, quiet location - The B&B is in an excellent and safe location for San Marco Piazza and to waterbus stops on the lagoon. Only 5 minutes walk. About 10 minutes walk is the Rialto. The area is quiet but has lots of shops and restaurants. Feels like you are living as a local.
Paula, the host, is very welcoming and was there when I checked in after 13.00 hours. The apartment is dark but very clean. It has a small courtyard with lovely plants. Good Italian coffee is served at breakfast from 8 to 10. I stayed for a week. Despite my reservations about a shared bathroom this was not a problem. There was hot water for showering, a bidet and all was clean. I am an early riser and so it was fine. There are 3 rooms for guests and it’s popular so be aware of demand for bathroom.
As a solo traveller it was good to chat to other guests over breakfast. Paula was able to give good advice about visits and restaurants etc.
she speaks French, Italian and English.
The bed was firm but there were clean white sheets and towels. Good wifi. There is a cat called Houdini who comes in and out of the apartment which I enjoyed but some may not.
I could return during the day and have a shower as it was hot. I enjoyed experiencing a more authentic stay.
I had a haircut at the hairdressers at the end of the alley and while expensive (It’s Venice) it was very good. There is a launderette next door to the hairdressers. Easy walk to Campo S. Maria Formosa which has restaurants and fruit and veg stalls. Also off an alley there is the bookshop Liberia Aqua Alta. As well as the usual activities I would recommend the food tour in the Rialto market and San Polo area. Find it on Get Your Guide. Also buy a water boat ticket for the duration of your stay. A great way to get around Venice and have a rest from walking. Nothing to really dislike considering it’s a good price but be aware the apartment is up two flights of stairs as is common in Venice.
Also beware of mosquitos as even on October as the weather was warm they were around. Paula provides spay etc if you ask but best to come prepared and keep the windows shut at night. No air con but fans in the rooms.
- Julia (9/5): Great stay in a great location - Great room and super close to town. Great location! And super helpful with a late check in too
- Mithun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ms. (8/5): Very good -
- Yolanda (6/5): Pleasant - The location is really good and the place is very clean. They should be more specific that you are sharing a someone else’s apartment that has 3 rooms and one bathroom. The owner of the apartment lives there and you don’t feel comfortable there. The breakfast is really simple (bread, butter, jam, coffee and normal milk) she said in her place she serves “Italian breakfast” so if you need something else better ask before. She is not friendly and can’t speak English fluently.
- Nickola (7/5): This was good value and a great location for exploring Venice. - The location was ideal for exploring Venice. The room was clean and tidy. The communal bathroom was not ideal in the mornings, having to wait for your turn to use the facilities.
- Olga (3/5): Arrogant Hostess/Dirty smelly Place - A enchanting City,a dirty B&B Arabesque A horrible arrogant big ego Hostess that beside the fact of charging around £80.00 per night in a dirty smelly place, want to mandate you at what time to arrived, and questions why you were late or earlier, Hello?? who the Hostess think to be??
horrible cheap, b-fast, in Jail they get better b-fast that there, The place need a good clean, a bit of polish in the windows and doors, a dust, do some easy few hours repairs there and there, a good deep clean all over, the hostess have a girl changing the Bed sheet, "thank God for that", and taking the rubbish out and that is all the Room cleaning, Disgusting!!!!!
Resuming it is a place you can make much more of it, expending just little money, some paint, some sanding, some varnish, which clearly hurt the Owner to the core, they are just for profiting, and been Venice they feel empowered to high rise and look down with disgust, under the knowledge they will always be felly booked
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good -
- Ganesh (5/5): Passable -
- Deniz (10/5): Exceptional - Great host and the b and b was close to the center.
- Chane (9/5): Superb -
- King (7/5): Good! - The cat is really cute and the housekeeper is nice The heater is not working
- Evan (7/5): Good -
- Gaëtan (9/5): Superb -
- Hermann (5/5): Expensive for what it is, but guess that is Venice. - The room was big and quiet and although no views, the location was very central and convenient - not too far to carry luggage in from the vaporetto terminal. The beds were very uncomfortable and the included breakfast was very basic.
- Marinou (9/5): Superb - good vibes . hospitality . near the centre . very good services 😊😊
- Olga (6/5): Pleasant -
- Laura (7/5): Neat - The B&B is very close to San Marco but it is on a side street so it is very quiet. There is a terrace where it must be nice to have breakfast and dine in the good season. My room was cheerful and well kept. I live in a warm place, I am not used to cold weather, March nights and mornings in ice are Venice are chilly and at the B&B I was very cold. I would have had a ball in the good season but Spring was not in my comfort zone.
- Maurice (7/5): Good - The room was large and comfortable which can't be taken for granted in many of the B&Bs we have used in historic areas. The breakfast was very basic and meagre, much less generous than we experienced in all the other places we stayed in Italy. While the room was large, it was also very basic.
- Athina (7/5): Excellent location clean rooms - Excellent location. Very clean. Very close to St Mark's square. Quite and warm rooms. Helpful landlady. Just nearby a few restaurants and take away outlets with various tasty foods. Bathroom sharing is a big issue. The breakfast was OK could be a lot better. There was a kettle and tea bags in the dining area, but no cups in the rooms. Also the pillows were too big and hard for us.
- Forest (8/5): Very good - Good place to stay and comfortable. As a solo traveler, I enjoyed connecting with people from all over. The shared bathroom was often busy and the shower situation wasn't so great.
- József (1/5): Bad - It was very cold inside the apartement. I got sick there.. We smelled cat pee in the room. Terrible experience...
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Stuart (9/5): Superb - Friendliness, willingness to please Everything was fine
- Janez (2/5): Very poor -
- Alexander (9/5): Superb -
- Victoria (5/5): Great location at a cost - avoid if possible or bring good ear plugs! - The location is excellent - approximately 5-10 minutes to Rialto and San Marco docks in either direction plus surrounded by restaurants and things to do. We were able to walk from the train station in under half an hour and to Tronchetto in about 45 minutes. The room itself was large with plenty of space and the smaller bed was comfortable. The noise here was quite unbelievable. The walls and ceiling are paper thin. Our first night the room beside us were up until midnight talking and we could hear every word as if they were in the room. The upstairs neighbours are equally as loud, maybe worse as you hear their tv, phone notifications, and loud conversations. In the morning there are workers that start doing something nearby around 7am and it’s like being in the middle of a construction site. I believe there must also be transport out of Venice around that time as well as both mornings there were guests loudly packing up and leaving at 6am. An enforced quiet period may help some of the noise and reduce your chances of noise at night, but there is little that can be done in the morning.
The bathroom itself is large and clean, however, there is only one bathroom for the entire apartment so you may end up waiting a while if you need to use the toilet at all which turned out to be a fairly significant inconvenience.
The breakfast was laughable, I had seen reviews and figured it couldn’t be that bad, I was wrong. We were directed to a fridge with small yogurt containers - there was some bread the first morning but not on the second morning so it was literally just yogurt and bad coffee. Thankfully this is located in a good spot to grab an actual breakfast once you leave for the day.
The doors are a pain, there’s 3 keys that take some jiggling to work and you’ll likely be doing this in the dark as all the lights get turned off fairly regularly and are not on motion sensors or timers.
The reviews of the host are fairly accurate. Just unfriendly and off-putting.
Overall, we did not sleep, eat, or feel comfortable here at all. The location was the saving grace that kept this from getting a 1.
If it is cheaper than others by a lot, you can take your chances and hope for quiet neighbours. A weekend might have less morning noise as well, but I would have spent an extra $100-$200 CAD to avoid staying here.
- Laura (1/5): do NOT ruin your time in Venice! - the location we could not sleep at all. The walls and windows are as if nothing was there. You can hear everything from the outside and from people staying next to you (you can unterstans every word they say). The breakfast is not a breakfast AT ALL and the coffee was the worse coffee I have ever had!. This should not be called B&B. it is barely a bed because it is also very uncomfortable. The host is very rude, this is only a business for her and does not care about the guests.
- Adamsky (6/5): Pleasant -
- Alessadra (9/5): Superb -
- Belinda (10/5): Great location and lovely host! -
- Kiefer (8/5): Very good - It was an exceptional location! It was so hot while we were in Venice and she added an AC unit to our room which made it cool and perfect in our room. It was a little difficult for our room of 4 people to share the hall bathroom with 3 other people because we all seemed to need the bathroom at the same time.
- Rowan (8/5): Quiet, old Street near the center of everything. - Very friendly owner who messaged us the directions on how to find the BnB. She kept in touch and answered queries straight away. Nice big room. We left our big suitcases downstairs and just took up what we needed. Plenty of cafes etc around.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet room in a nice area. - Paula was very good with arranging check-in and giving transport options from the airport. When I arrived in the evening, the lane was quite dark and there was no signage to indicate which level to go to.The room was adequate size with a large bed for a single room with a window looking into a central courtyard. Paula left a map of Venice on the bed which was very useful.
There is only 1 bathroom to share between 3 rooms (6 people during my stay) which meant you had to listen out and race to the bathroom as soon as someone finishes with it. I spent an hour waiting for my turn as the bath / WC /sink /hairdryer is all in the same room. It might be more helpful if the hairdryer at least was kept in a communal area where guests can borrow to free up the bathroom slightly.
Wifi wasn't the fastest but was adequate.
Breakfast wasn't great but I'm not a big eater so it was enough to get you through to lunch.
Overall it was a nice quiet stay and the location was convenient with plenty of restaurants around.
