Guest Reviews
- LUCIE (10/5): -
- Simon (10/5): A traditional French chamber d’hôte, perfectly placed for our tour of the Loire. - Charmingly antiquated, very French and Veronique made us very welcome.
- Rosie (10/5): -
- Joan (10/5): - Staying in a beautiful, historical house in a quiet location with all amenities and a pleasant welcome on arrival. Although no evening meal avaliable on the premises, the hostess booked delightful restaurant meals for us.
Chateau de la Rue is a most delightful place to stay for a few days. Nothing
- massimo (10/5): La Contessa gentile - La location è l'accoglienza.

- Andrew (7/5): Good location to see local chateaux. - Lovely and quiet location. Hostess was very helpful in making reservations at local restaurants for us which was great. Breakfast was average and not a huge selection. The swimming pool was freezing and not heated or covered at night so was not really useable. No cups for water in the bedroom and no coffee or tea making facilities.
- Vasilii (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ltsantos (9/5): Super interesting stay and recommended - Staff was really emphatetic and helpfull
- Ceinwen (6/5): Pleasant - This is a large house on a beautiful property but it's very expensive for what it is. The pool is lovely. It's in a good location. The rooms are quite old fashioned and have some dust and cobwebs. The Wifi didn't work. The breakfast was quite expensive.
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional - A true taste of french hospitality, welcomes you at this charming chambre d'hôte. A perfect base to explore the region, or just relax by the pool. Highly recommend.
- Alejandro (10/5): Excellent stay! Great location, the chateau is full of charm and our kids absolutely loved it. The owner was extremely k -

- Ben (6/5): The house and gardens feel very French. The pool area is nice. Very much someone’s house though, no locks, no stand up s - Location, large rooms, garden, pool area No locks. Too much furniture and antiques in the rooms, difficult with children. No stand up shower. Breakfast was limited and quite expensive, same price adults and and children, only croissants, brioche.
- Jason (3/5): The pictures on the website made it look a lot nicer than it is -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nikki (7/5): Underwhelming - Good location and lovely pool. White cotton linen. Uncomfortable beds and pillows
Dated and dusty
Expensive for what you get
- Michela (10/5): Feeling like a princess! - The property is really beautiful! so lovely😍
Veronique, who is the owner, is very kind and available!
I really recommend this place.
you will be jumped in an other dimension and you will feel like a princess (or prince)!
- Martha (8/5): Very good -
- Gail (10/5): Absolutely lovely chateau owner, location and welcome! I will return many more times. - Breakfast was French continental served in a lovely dining room or on the outdoor terrace.
- Peter (8/5): Speziell - Sehr spezielles Ambiente. Wir würden sicher wieder hingehen.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This B&B has a lovely yard and pool area. The rooms could use a bit of updating. The beds were small and mattresses were lumpy. The bathroom drain was slow which meant that the shower could only be a few minutes long.
