It was super quiet I felt peace and tranquility. The close access to other attractions and the blue lagoons. The area is so lush, super green and vibrant. I’m confused about the payment system. No food access.

Bed was comfortable, room clean but basic, bathroom like a european one verrrry small. Bathroom was OK for small people but a large person would have a problem, there was perhaps 14-15 inches between the basin vanity and the door. The property in general needs a little maintainence in the common areas. Not as glamourous as it looks in pictures but a decent place to stay.

• Hannah (7/5): - Location is perfect, a 2 minute walk to the Blue Lagoon. Our host Noel was very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was made fresh every morning to our specifications (we are vegan). Unfortunately a new property development in front of Moonsan blocks the view of the bay. The area is quite remote and it wasn't easy to find places to eat for lunch and dinner, especially without access to a car. The bathroom is very small and some of the communal areas could do with some TLC.

The photos displayed on Bookings.com doesn't represent what's actually at the hotel/family home. I never stayed because of how dirty the place was. There were kids living on the property playing around in the rotting area. I spoke to the owner and he promised to give me a refund for the rooms I booked. The place was filled with bushes, cobwebs, dirty, etc. I could not stay at that place because it feels creepy so I had to rebook at Jamaica colours hotel for the weekend.

• Marceen (1/5): This is the worst experience - There’s nothing to like at the property!!! This was the worst experience of my life, the accommodation was uncomfortable, the staff was rude, the sheets were dirty, the rooms were creepy and there were children and pets living at the villa. What was shown on the app isn’t what you get or see when you go to the villa. There wasn’t a staff to greet us or welcome us. Mosquitoes and lizards were everywhere. We didn’t stay, we had to get somewhere else. I consider this has false advertising and misleading.

Moon San Villa is located just few meters from one of the most beautiful spots in the world - Blue Lagoon. The owner Neil and his family are the nicest people you can ever meet - caring, nothing is a problem, they’ll make your stay just like home. The rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable. WiFi is a bit weaker, but not a problem.
• A (5/5): Disappointed - Breakfast was very basic . You either got eggs, toast and 2 pieces of fruit or the Traditional breakfast. No tea and coffee facilities in the room. Room was not cleaned at all; towels were changed but no room cleaning. Internet was non existent. Hot water was minimal- the shower was poor. Lighting in the room was poor. Lots of mosquitoes

• Tracy (8/5): Very good - Rachel was exceptionally responsive and provided additional information in advance of our trip. Noel greeted us warmly and helped with our bags. Location, location, location - just lovely, with unencumbered access to the Blue Lagoon. All rooms we rented had ensure bathrooms. Strong presence of security is now at the Lagoon. Off-road parking. Lots of areas for lounging with fiends -- inside or on the covered balconies or patios. The view! There were a few minor bathroom fixes required. We weren't there long enough for them to get done, but we told them to Noel. We occupied rooms 1 - 3. Room 1's bathroom is very small. Unless you rent the entire villa, you may encounter others in the shared spaces (kitchen/dining, living room, patios) who are occupying other bedrooms..

• Mircea (10/5): Perfect stay in San San, 5 min walk to Blue Lagoon - The location was amazing with awesome views. But mostly the hosts were very kind and welcoming making the place truly special. Also, compared to properties around it, it was a very good value. Very good breakfast too. Not a huge problem, but the property would benefit a little “refresh”. But honestly, for the price point, it was excellent for my taste.

Since then I have attempted to get my refund multiple times but have been given the run around. The phone doesn’t work & every I’m told to call back tomorrow to speak with a manager. Apparently the property is up for sale & the management have resorted to scamming. The room was old & the property needs maintaining. Great location but there is no beach as advertised. Do not stay here!

Room one AC stopped working during our stay, mosquitoes and sandflies, centipedes, door locks felt loose, the bathroom had no space to turn in and you cannot close the door when using the faucet, extremely high chlorine levels, children apparently belonging to the staff or owners were noisy and up and about the property, no proper bag drop instructions or directions on parking or how to access the property upon arrival, the pictures of the room and property are very deceiving, very awkward and steep stairs, no safe in the room, beds are hard, sheet covering wasn’t very clean, TV was a mess - very small, no remote control).. we were not comfortable.

• Hamilton (8/5): Quaint, Cozy Gem - The location was near the lagoon, which was the main focus of my visit. The view from the property was amazing! You can see the waves breaking on the reef from the balcony and the villa is surrounded by greenery. The persons working there were very friendly and helpful. This is the kind of place where you could easily spend a week decompressing. The property is a little older and is a bit quaint, but cozy and comfortable. Parking was offsite at the lagoon, but security personnel were always present.

• Pineapple2019 (5/5): Our stay at the Moon Villa was pictureful overlooking the Blue Lagoon. - Breakfast was awesome traditional Jamaican breakfast, made fresh every day by MS Donna. Noel Was amazing his customers service was 100/% he went out and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the low water pressure, in the bathroom.
• Asja (9/5): The location is amazing if you are looking for relax. - The location is amazing just above the blue lagoon. It is so quiet and calm and the view is breathtaking. The staff is lovely and the room was clean. There are no restaurants nor shops around, better arrive with water and snacks especially if you don’t have a car. The hotel just provides breakfast. I stayed three nights and the room has never been cleaned, for me it was not a problem but maybe is not what you are expecting for the price.
• Georgina (6/5): Great views and a peaceful stay - Had a decent stay at Moon San Villa, this property benefits from its amazing location and waking up to the views of the lagoon each day was incredible. The balcony and common areas are great and walking to the lagoon takes 2 mins. We also went to winifred beach up the road in a taxi which took 5 mins and was a great spot full of locals and tourists. The staff at Moon San Villa are nice and were flexible about us having breakfast late one day which I appreciated. I would go back but maybe just for one night. The food was just OK. Could do with more fruit. Our room needed a bit of TLC and wasn't as comfortable as it looked online. New paint, a better mattress, proper lighting, mini fridges, water, and a toilet brush would all be helpful. It's also hard to get hold of staff sometimes in the evening and we weren't offered any water until the 2nd or 3rd day and it seemed to be a huge deal when some was provided.

• Hichem (3/5): Overpriced and poor service. Stay elsewhere and hop in a cab to go to the Blue Lagoon. - 30 meters walk to the Blue Lagoon. Great place to swim safely. Plenty! Breakfasts suck thoroughly! Same menu every day: daily decreasing (in size) portions of scrambled eggs with two toasts, two minute strips of bacon, watered down coffee which clearly was a second brew, one slice of watermelon with fridge burns! Astonishingly, the size of the breakfast kept shrinking. We were planning to leave a generous tip at the end of our stay but ended up leaving without the last breakfast! To say that we’re quite appalled by the quality. Mr Noel promised to let us know when he would be available to take us for sightseeing as agreed upon on arrival! He totally ignored his promise. No decent food nearby! So, it was an opportunity to loose weight! Hotel has a nice view but is run down (there is a For Sale sign in front of the property- that perhaps explain the poor state of premises and dismal service). Cockroaches in the room. Mosquitoes going through windows.,. One of the worst experiences… and we travel a lot!

• Tryggvi (8/5): Very enojable stay in a little guesthouse with histoy, at a very special location. - Beautiful location and friendly staff. The Blue Lagoon is not what it used to be as the surroundings look likes a construction side and hustler all around.
• Rita (10/5): Home away from home - Great customer service! I was travelling as a family group using 3 rooms. Some of our travellers had asked for extras that made more work for them, which they could have easily said no to, they were very accommodating and easy going. The breakfast was fantastic. The common area and the view from the top balcony is really nice. The bed was a bit soft for me, access to a beach before 9am is difficult. Security for that area might let you in, or might not.

• Simone (3/5): Only if you have no alternatives. - Good location. The outdoor seating area smelled like cat urine and could not be used. We had to clean a table in the common area ourselves before we could use it. The facilities are inadequate for the number of guests that they host. We had to wait for over an hour for breakfast. Charges were changed after booking was confirmed and payment made. I would not stay here again.
• Delora (6/5): It was ok, I was tired so I just slept - Breakfast was good. The furnitures are a bit old but my main concern was the Sign at the front. It was difficult to locate the Property since its below the road level so a proper sign would make a big difference.
• Davlyn (7/5): Great location beside the Blue Lagoon - Beautiful great location near to the Blue Lagoon which can be seen from the room where breakfast is served. I enjoyed dipping in the Blue lagoon which is at a short walk just beside the property. Breakfast was satisfactory and staff were kind and accommodating. The bed was comfortable and there was a lot of space in many drawers in the dresser. I didn't like that the toilet was very close to the wash basin. Not great for tall persons. Also the room had no chair to sit on and no iron in room.

• Jason (10/5): Good value stay - Beautiful property right beside one of Jamaica’s landmark sites, Blue Lagoon. View of the ocean, comfortable beds, clean property and hospitable hosts. Port Antonio is a short distance drive for lunch/dinner. Hot water showers, complimentary breakfast (which was delcious) and overall, an excellent stay.
• Brown (9/5): Relaxing Getaway - We were a group of five, family and friends Noel and the ladies made our stay very comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing. They were also very knowledgeable about the area. The property was literally a stones throw away from the Lagoon which was nice. Beautiful views of the sea from the Villa, really nice all round. Felt really relaxed. You really needed a car, we got around with taxi's but car I think would of allowed more freedom.
• Amanda (8/5): Overall, it was peaceful and enjoyable. 10/10 - The staff was exceptional. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and it felt like we were at home. You can tell that the structure has a rich history from its stone walkways, wooden patios and the different textures in the space. This is what really made the stay so authentic. We had a direct view to the lagoon and the ocean which was calming. Only change I would have made would be the installation of a mini fridge in the bedrooms.

• Sharon (8/5): Great location, great staff, value for money ☺️ - Great location right next to the Blue Lagoon, staff were fantastic Noel and Donna catered to our every needs. Room was great, bed comfortable … couldn’t fault it Nothing
• charles (4/5): Overpriced BNB - The advertising for the property is misleading. There’s no pool, all the pictures listed as activities are for other properties which attract additional cost. We left with bedbug bites and the place has roaches. The staff are nice but this is nothing but an overpriced bnb. I understand things might be slow but the owners need to invest in upgrading the villa and doing more routine cleaning.
• Jason (9/5): Amazing Place - Place is comfortable and is ideal for resting and rebooting your mind. Parking is on the main road without any security. This could be dangerous.

• Gianluca (9/5): Superb - Nice and clean room, excellent location. Restaurant 2 minutes by car. Good breakfast included. Very friendly staff. Very safe place
• Nicole (8/5): - Great location next to Blue lagoon with free access anytime. Older style villa with lots of character. Room was clean, a bit tight but lots of space to sit around the building with beautiful ocean views. Beds were comfy and sheets soft and comfortable. Good snorkelling outside the lagoon into seawater. Lots of fish and turtles. Staff were very nice and breakfast was good with choice between american or jamaican. Only downfall at the time of stay was construction noises from building villas below on seashore.
• Blake (7/5): Apart from the parking situation. I would recommend the property. - I liked that the staff were quite polite. Place was very clean. Breakfast was delicious. The view from my room was beautiful. The parking situation was worrying. I don’t like the fact that you have to park at the road side which is elevated so I can’t even see my vehicle. I worried the whole time. Additionally, I was told by one of the staff that we could park down by the road that was below the property and that we would be shown by the security. When we went there we were told that we couldn’t park there as that space was allotted for another villa. So had to park on the road at the top.
• Dagmar (10/5): - Our family stayed for six days and every day spent there was wonderful. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and the view from the property was beautiful. Noel was very helpful along with the ladies that worked there. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The property was very close to the Blue Lagoon, and Frenchman’s cove beach is a must see. Will definitely be staying here again, we miss it already.
