Gianna (6/5): Good location, prices change. We had 4 family members (4 rooms total) stay there and we all got different prices. Some - The location was great, the rooms were nice and renovated. The staff. The cleaning staff is entirely inconsiderate and it’s outrageous. Music blaring from 10:30am to around 6pm every single day. You want to take a nap? Not happening. You have kids with schedules? Doesn’t matter. They speak so loudly, clanging around the halls, and BLARE music while they clean. It appears they stay on property so it simply never stopped. They really ruined the stay for us.

Lauren Eileen (8/5): - This was our first time visiting the island and we knew we wanted to be in walking distance to all the shops and restaurants and beach. The Palmetto Inn is in an amazing location and super convenient. However, the place could really use some upgrades. I had read about the beds being hard as cement and they definitely are. The bedding and towels are basic and not very comfortable. Also, our bathroom was very small. I hope sometime in the future some money and time can be spent enhancing a beautiful, but old, building. I will say the management staff was amazing and only a phone call away when we needed something. Check in was easy at the Boca Grande hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Mary (5/5): Passable - Check in was a nightmare apparently it's a game they like to play because I heard it from other guests when I was there. You don't get the check in text until you're already at the place and find out that you have to drive like four miles back up the causeway through traffic to check in at another location. When I? Arrived a little bit agitated at the other location.I was met with grief from the man that was working the front desk, He was argumentative with questioning on my phone number and trying to make the inconvenience of the check in somehow my fault. I've been in hospitality for years and this is gotta be one of the worst scenarios.It was almost intolerable if I wasn't so exhausted from traveling.I might not have stayed there I felt that I was experiencing reverse racism by the man at the desk.It was a horrible experience. When another man came out as some sort of a manager to straighten out the situation it went from bad to worse. When I expressed my displeasure with the woman that I initially dealt with things really went Downhill. They were all combatative.... period one of the most discerning things about the property itself. Was the moldy dripping? Drain from the sink dripping into the cupboard over the pots and pans it was disgusting. Also, the AC unit had mold growing all over the back of it.I was wondering why my sinuses were bothering me. They did say they were gonna credit Me back a hundred dollars but that never happened either.

Michael (8/5): Perfect place for a visit to Boca Grande. - The location was perfect and check in was easy. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Needed more decorations ( not one picture on the wall) and more glasses, plates, silverware and wine glasses.
Beth (6/5): - The check in experience was super. They went out of their way to accommodate our request to put items in a fridge. The accommodation however needs a 100% gut job. The only positive is location. We joked that they charged us $300.00 too much. The rate was $299.00.

The place was clean even though it smelled. The girl in the office was super. You can walk everywhere and the beach was beautiful. Will probably stay elsewhere if I come back. The locals were mostly rude.

I don’t regret that decision but only because the bedding was not all white and I prefer white. But I didn’t feel grossed out at all. I was pleasantly surprised when we walked into the room. It was very clean and comfortable. There were sugar ants in the kitchen so be sure to put all food in refrigerator. The location was great! Walking distance to all shops and the beach. The lady who checked us in at the boca resort was so friendly and helpful! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The bathrooms ... taking a shower is an experiment in hot/cold fusion. The toilet is not usable to sit down for anyone over 5 foot 6. There are literal holes in the walls. Internet is terrible. The room had a general moldy smell upon entering. Avoid this place at all costs.

Palmetto Inn is as advertised: 3 star accommodation in an amazing location for the more budget minded travelers . Honestly we almost turned around approaching the door as our entry way looked so run down (We stayed in the Snook suite at the rear of the house) . Opened up to a very strong smell of bleach in hallway. Through the little hallway is a decent galley kitchen and tiny living area which is where the TV is . Tiny bedroom that just squeezed in a queen bed and one dresser. Tiny bathroom with shower. It was all squeaky clean -other than a few sugar ants. Looked recently repainted. Weird lack of decor - here is where it gets a bit sketchy : no pictures on the walls and instead some very bossy signs posted ( guessing the result of some less than ideal guests?) Coffee provided, toiletries provided , towels ( but only one large towel? ) clean linen , mattress firm, shower fine ( just very small!) . Perfect location for walking to the restaurants and lighthouse tower.

Russell (9/5): Palmetto Inn provides a great central location to enjoy all that Boca Grande Island offers. - Great location right in the center of town, around the corner from many shops and restaurants. A short walk to the beach. Around the corner from the bike path. Great bike/walking/golf cart path that goes the length of the island, about 7 miles. It was very wide along well maintained landscaping and takes you to both lighthouses on one end and a fishing pier on the other end. The Inn was recently redone in a beachy motif. Our room was large and comfortable. We had a great stay! check-in was a little tricky. I assumed I was going to a hotel where staff was always there. I should have checked my email and let the host know we would be getting in later than the check in times. It worked out well though and I was happy to have keyless entry.

Jeff (9/5): Awesome place to stay! - Location was awesome. We walked everywhere. It was very quiet and a large apartment for the 4 of us. Large screened in porch that we used a lot. Kitchen was nice and renovated. We would stay again. Another bathroom would have been nice (we stayed in a 2 br. apartment), but since this is an old house, probably hard or not possible to renovate.
Angelique (6/5): - Nice little suite, but the bathroom was very tiny. Lightbulb in the bathroom was flashing, so I had to take one from the bedroom to put in there. Staff was very nice and helpful.
Shelly (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. The Inn, the island and the beaches are like no other. - Very quite and clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. Our room, #3, had one small air conditioner which had a hard time cooling, especially in bedroom and bath. Our daughter stayed in room 6 which was very comfortable.
Mulrine (4/5): Would never stay again or recommend. - The tub in the shower is either broken or pitched wrong. You slide towards on side while standing and it feels like you are going to go through the tub. The towel shelf fell o us. The front door to inn was propped open, safety concern. Saw a roach on the first floor.

White (8/5): Quite lovely, enjoyed the room and amenities and Amit was just wonderful, he was super awesome! - The location was amazing! Didn't expect that there was a $6 toll to get to the hotel every time you went off the island, surprise! But, there's plenty to do and see while there, full of upper end restaurants and beautiful beaches. There is a Publix just down the street, as well as a general store on island. Publix will be cheaper, even with the toll. The room didn't cool down as much as I would have liked, but it wasn't uncomfortable.

Donn (8/5): - Small bedroom - hard to get into bed, tiny shower. Rest of the unit is nice enough although old, out dated, floors not level. Kitchen woefully under supplied - plenty of (mismatched) dishes and cookware but only 1 dinner plate, 1 spoon, 3 forks, 1 cocktail glass, no wine glasses, a single ice-cube tray. But what did I expect in a bargain unit on such an over-priced island?

Steph (4/5): CHARGED WAY TOO MUCH MONEY FOR THIS PLACE..OUTDATED AND DISAPPOINTING :( - The location was good. Near downtown area and close to shops. The place was older. Carpets going up the stairs were nasty and need to be replaced. Almost hit my head trying to get up the stairs to go to the room. The sleeper couch was very uncomfortable as was the bed in the bedroom. When taking a shower there was no water pressure at all. It also felt like the tub was going to fall through the floor when taking a shower. Did not feel secure. View sucked from the room. Damage on the roof which was not disclosed. No staff on site to help with anything. Definitely not worth the money they charged at all!!!!

Brandon (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely try to make it back one day. - I liked the location. It was only a couple blocks away from the beach. Boca grande island is a nice place to visit. It was so quiet and clean. Me and my wife walked around with no shoes on. There was a huge insect dead by the toilet in the bathroom. I had to get rid of it before my wife would go in there.

karabS2020QW (2/5): Please do not stay here. - Limited options in Boca Grande so I decided to try the Palmetto Inn. Stayed in the sister property(Boca Grande Hotel) last year. Rooms at the Palmetto are larger and accommodate larger groups. Unfortunately, this was a mistake. I have stayed at many 3 star properties in the past but this is not one of them. There is a tremendous lack of attention to making these properties clean and comfortable. Part of the problem could be that the hotel management is located at the sister property and no one is onsite. I will not stay here again. Here is a list of my issues: 1. Bedding is some of the oldest and dirtiest that I have ever experienced. Plan to bring your own sheets and comforters. I am surprised that we do not show signs of bedbug bites. 2. Furniture is as random as anything I have ever seen. They obviously outfitted the apartment with the cheapest things they could find with no rhyme or reason to the layout. 3. Window dressings are literally falling apart. I tried to open up the blinds that separate the apartment from the screened in porch and the entire window treatment fell apart. 4. Floors have not been properly cleaned in years. Additionally, they are not level. There is a difference in flooring height between rooms that is perfect for stubbing your toe. What has the potential to be a nice property is dark, dingy and ugly. I travel a lot for work and pleasure and have been disappointed before but never left a negative review as I did not want to hurt business. However, in this case, I want to give a strong warning not to stay here. Hopefully, management will get the point and make some improvements.

Cindy (8/5): Charming restored old Florida home located in the middle of everything. Great value for the price paid on a holiday week - Great location! The bed was very uncomfortable. Thin walls so you could hear the kids running around downstairs at night. That was more a parent problem, I know, but the thin walls and floors didn’t help.
