We're older folks who can't climb stairs very well. Though we were put on the very first floor it was still two flights of stairs. The staff did everything in their power to make the accommodations work. And for that we are eternally grateful.

- Harry (7/5): Very spacious room, but poor soundproofing. Overall an ok stay. - The room: the room I booked was very spacious, and all amenities were included. Food: my booking came with buffet breakfast, which had a good selection of different foods. The filipino dishes were delicious. Staff serving the food were friendly, professional and courteous. The location was good - close to the main street, shops, restaurants and the beach. There was a free water station on every floor to fill up water. The room 1. The room had a number of tiny ants crawling at different parts of the ground inside the room, close to the bed. 2. Soundproofing is not good here. I couldn't sleep even with earplugs because a few families were chatting and laughing on the ground floor near the swimming pool. I was on the third floor and could still hear them clearly, and this was almost 2am. The hotel did have a policy of keeping quiet at night time but it was not followed. 3. Following on from the lack of soundproofing, there were gaps underneath the front door of my room. That could be how a number of mosquitoes flew into my room at night. The staff were helpful in lending me a bug spray but it didn't help, and I had to apply mosquito repellents to my body every night before going to bed. 4. There were no elevators. Only stairs. Not an issue for me but worth considering booking the ground floor if there are accessibility concerns. The service 5. Service was just ok. One of the staff was quite standoffish. Upon checkout, the front desk staff (a different staff) said, "please wait while we send someone to check your room, for 5000 pesos." She alluded to this form upon check-in, where guests sign to agree to pay for any damages such as bedding, towels, etc. Not sure if she meant it as a joke, or threat of charging me up to 5000 extra pesos if I left without her checking the room. Regardless, it wasn't pleasant, particularly as I take pride in ensuring the room is in a very clean and orderly state after checking out. Moreover, checking out process was delayed by several minutes as the front desk staff couldn't find a staff to check my room, and she had to go up and check the room herself before I was allowed to leave the hotel.

- Chito (9/5): A good value for the price! - The place is very clean and quiet. A good value for your trip. Near the groto but you need to cross the road. Not little far. Across the road awaits very delicious Coco Mama. A must try ice cream. The staff are very polite and friendly. Thanks to Crissa, Argy, Danica, Rommel, another guy and Chef who prepared for us Tapsilog (Beef tapa, fried rice and sunny side up). They even prepared for us packed egg sandwiches because we left at 6am and cannot make it to next breakfast. Their welcome drinks is also delicious (ginger kalamansi). You can also borrow towel at lobby when you go to beach. The experience is great! Highly recommended! Not front beach and need to cross a road. No elevator also if you have an elderly. But for us it's not really a problem and the beach is still accessible by few steps walk.

THEIR PHONE IS NOT WORKING / DATA EVEN IF THEY HAVE A PLAN. IT TURNS OUT THAT SOMEBODY FROM THE HOTEL STAFF SWITCHED THEIR SIMCARD. ITS NOT OKAY! THAT IS THEFT. AND MAYBE THEY ARE PLANNING TO USE THE SIM CARD NUMBER TO SCAM PEOPLE FOR GCASH AND TO OPEN THE BANK ACCOUNT OF MY MOM. PLEASE ACT ON THIS MANAGEMENT!!! Review the CCTV who enter our room! - Marcela (7/5): Nice hotel with the best staff - Great location in a quiet area of Station 1, short walk to the beach, e-trike buses, bars, cafes and restaurants. Launderette is less than 5minutes away, and so is Willi's Rock, crystal kayaks and paddle boards. Station 2 with all its shopping and restaurants, as well as Paraw sunset sails and other activities is 10mins walk away. Staff is absolutely amazing and make you feel like a family. Philippino breakfast is ok and helpful kitchen staff will make you what you ask for is Philippino breakfast is not your jam. We had fried eggs, pancakes, bananas and more upon request. There is no balcony or terrase so once you are in the room that is it. The room felt permanently damp and all our stuff was always dump getting mouldy. The air-con switches off as soon as you take the key card out so nothing ever dries. To get things dried, we had to use the launderette alot and even then felt like we are wearing dump things all the time. Swimsuits and towels would not dry. Black mould was visible on the walls and ceiling and felt like it was also inside the aircon. Some woodworm kept chewing on one of the beds and cupboard, leaving wood dust on the floor and inside the cupboard each day before the room got cleaned.

- Annielita (8/5): Very good - We stayed at Il Mare Sakura for 3 nights with the family. Everything went well. The staffs are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was amazing, something to look forward to. The beach is just few walks away from the hotel so it was easy to go back and have some rest in the afternoon and stroll again in the evening. No lift

- Jimmy (6/5): - This hotel is a matter of taste to your liking. It's a little off the side street but easy to get too and close to the beach. The staff was really friendly which made the stay so much better. Our room didn't seem to have any hot water, barely lukewarm, but was bearable for me. Breakfast was pretty good and came with the room. The hotel is older but they keep it clean, but the swimming pool was really cold. The hotel helped us book a couple of activities which was really nice, although I didn't enjoy one of the activities but that's another story.

- Andre (5/5): Sleepless in Sakura - Kind and nice staff Hard bed, dysfunctional bathroom with poor lighting ....no soundproofing of rooms! Dont expect to sleep or rest much.. Hallway with screaming kids and adults and slamming of doors will keep you awake....

- Alysia (10/5): Excellent place to stay - Amazing staff, so friendly and funny and helpful! Really excellent location, a couple of minutes walk to the beach and tons of bars/restaurants/shops walkable. They have large shampoo, conditioner and body wash, and provide towels and fresh beach towels each day. Breakfast was decent and changed every day. Lots of cute cats around! No elevator but they have porters to help with bags. Pretty thin walls

- Eamon (6/5): Just ok - Good location Breakfast very poor, a lot of the food seemed reheated in microwave plus always shortage of tables. Many things wrong in room, safe not working, door not locking properly, it seemed old and dated.
- Robert (5/5): Passable - The location is good, beds were big and wifi was surprisingly good for Philippines No extra towels have been provided, we have requested them a couple of times but none have been supplied. The staff struggled to speak and understand English
- Aida (10/5): It was great and we would like to comeback to IL Mare - The breakfast is good considering of what we pay. The hotel is clean ,cat friendly,and the staff were nice and accommodating .They are one step ahead of what we need .❤️ The water temperature of the pool is so cold.
