They say okay, but tell me not to eat them here—it’s a restaurant—while showing me the main area of the hotel: a large room with tables, board games, and so on. $5 for a cup of coffee is more than the price of street food in Beirut… !

Rokas (8/5): Happy overall - The shared hostel room, facilities, and linen were generally clean. The staff were polite and welcome to answer any questions I had. Nothing major; Towels and lock for locker were for an additional fee, and the wifi was not usable in my room (though they said it’s an issue they will fix soon. Also the balcony of the room was facing a street where people could be heard into the AM hours, but nothing earplugs couldnt solve.

First of all, the location is excellent and the price is very reasonable for the quality of accommodation. From the moment I arrived, I felt truly welcomed and at home. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and always happy to recommend places and answer any questions. The accommodation itself is lovely, and the beds are super comfortable. I also highly recommend adding breakfast to your stay — it’s super rich, full of flavor, and beautifully local. What really makes this place special for me is the vibe — something you simply can’t buy with money. The atmosphere is amazing, and the people there are unique, kind, and full of positive energy. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

MEHMET (2/5): - Sadece konumu güzel. Burası bir hostel değil. Hostel ve hostel gibi çalışan bir yer. Giriş yeri yani resepsiyon ise bir bar restoran işletmesi. Üst katlar ranzaların olduğu yer. Ranzalar çok kötü. Sabit değil devamlı sallanıyor. 4 gece kaldım. Bir defa bile tuvaletler temizlenmedi. Odalar ve tuvalet yanyana. Odaya tuvaletin pis kokusu geldi bir kaç defa. Sabah kahvaltısında çay yok isterseniz fincanda sallama çay veriyor.

Leslie (6/5): Recibes menos de lo que pagas. - La ubicación es muy buena y el agua caliente es abundante. Para dos habitaciones con 8 camas en total tienes un WC. Solo uno! Y dos duchas. El servicio de lavandería está a dos pasos, utiliza la misma puerta de entrada a la habitación del cuarto de mujeres. Privacidad cero. Ese servicio de lavandería está activo todo el día por lo que el ruido tanto de lavadora y secadora no parará hasta las 9 de la noche aproximadamente. El tema del internet es un chiste. No funcionó correctamente en los 3 días de estancia. El desayuno no tiene nada caliente. Es abundante; pero todo frío y para tomarse un café hay que esperar porque hasta que no llegue el recepcionista no se puede ordenar. Y si a esto sumamos que el personal encargado del desayuno y el que no es recepcionista no habla inglés entonces ya tenemos un inconveniente al momento de la comunicación.

Ortak alanlarda bunu görmeyeli yıllar olmuştu. Duşda sıcak su problemi vardı. Ya da bana denk geldi. Tuvaletler ve duşlar daha temiz olabilirdi.

Nejme Meydanı'na 10 dakika yürüme mesafesinde olması işimi kolaylaştırdı. Michel'e ilgisi için çok teşekkür ederim. Gemmayzeh Caddesi'nden yukarı dik bir merdiven çıkmak gerekiyor. Bu bakımdan otele ulaşmak biraz yorucu.

Bryan (4/5): Needs Improvement - I sense some good vibes with the people and workers during my stay. I requested a lower bunk and was approved, but after checking in, I was given the upper bunk for some reason. During my stay, only two people, including myself, occupied a space with six beds, and just one of the three lower bunks was used. I believe it was staged because the two beds on the lower bunks looked prepared as if they were used, yet no employee cleaned up after them. Additionally, the stairs to the bunks shake as you go up.

Danièle (8/5): - L'ambiance est top grâce au propriétaire des lieux qui a su créer un lieu atypique en plein centre de Beyrouth avec une clientèle cosmopolite aussi bien locale qu'étrangère. Le linge de bain bien que très propre est un peu daté. Le petit déjeuner pourrait être un peu plus varié d'un jour à l'autre
Alexandra (8/5): - Although short, my stay at The Grand Meshmosh was quite pleasant: the staff were always attentive and welcoming, the communication was great from the very beginning, and the shared room was clean. The traditional breakfast they offer was plentiful and delicious. I believe the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner and better maintained. Otherwise, everything was generally good.

Stanislav Atref (8/5): - Good hostel and travellers space in the heart of Beirut. This is the base for most travellers exploring the country. They serve good breakfast and also have restaurant and bar. Terrace on the street is very lovely. Friendly staff can provide all kind of advices. The prices are like in Europe. Laundry for 10 USD is unthinkable) Upper beds in dorms are very high and hard to climb up.
