- ldelarica (10/5): Iconic view, great room, attentive staff - What a great hotel and attentive staff! I stayed at a Deluxe terrace room, and it was the dream! Waking up to views of the iconic plaza Cataluña, Barcelona's modernist and Gothic quarters, Monjuic, and even the sea, whilst enjoying my morning coffee was priceless!! The rooftop terrace was really good, and the hotel has all the amenities I needed and more! Really nicely decorated rooms too, and super comfy bed. Daniel, the director was a dream. He and his team made my stay be even better! Thank you so much!!
- kimkkandola (10/5): Weekend Trip to Barcelona - We travelled from the UK to Barcelona for a long weekend and were immediately impressed by the warm welcome we received. Emma was incredibly kind during check-in, arranging an early check-in for us and taking the time to highlight the best local attractions and restaurants. She even surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco in our room, which was such a thoughtful touch. The rooms were clean, spacious, and the hotel’s location was perfect for getting around the city. The views from the rooftop bar were great however, the service was appalling from the waiters. Everything seemed to be a chore for them and they were incredibly rude - I would definitely avoid. Unfortunately, as we were preparing to leave, I realised my phone was missing. We thoroughly searched the room and informed reception, but had to leave quickly to avoid missing our flight. Since my phone’s location still showing at the hotel, I got in touch with them again after leaving. I was genuinely blown away by Yingying’s dedication—she searched the room and hotel thoroughly, kept in close contact with me, and ultimately found the phone in the bed linen after the room had been cleaned. She notified me immediately and arranged for it to be sent back straight away. I’m incredibly grateful for her persistence, kindness, and clear communication. Thank you again, Yingying—you were truly amazing and so helpful!
- MCD1906 (10/5): Love this place! - This place is awesome. Super accessible to Metro (which is super easy to use). We haven’t taken a single cab. We walk and Metro everywhere. The room is gorgeous. The hallways could use a slight refresh but theyre not bad by any means. We opted for a balcony room that overlooked the square and the views were amazing. This place is a great option

- Nakita (10/5): - Very nice, clean hotel in the heart of Barcelona. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Rooms were spacious and luxurious. Hotel is in the main square so if you’re noise sensitive it may be an issue but in terms of location - it cannot be beat. The pool and roof top area are spectacular.

- gailsA2205AK (10/5): Amazing Hotel with an Unbeatable Central Location and Fabulous Staff - We stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate my Husband’s birthday and we could not have wished for a better experience. 10 out of 10 to Nawal from Guest Services, who planned an unforgettable celebration for him with no detail overlooked and really made his day ( especially the decorated room as that was very special) Nawal’s kindness and willingness to help plan something for him when I reached out to her before our visit, was really reassuring and meeting her in person made us feel very welcome and valued. The hotel location is very central and ideally situated to visit the main sights on foot. The rooms are spacious and scrupulously clean with lovely modern bathrooms. The rooftop bar is well worth a visit and it affords great views over the city. Bar service was a little slow at times but the drinks were lovely and we enjoyed the relaxing space up there. All of the staff we met were very attentive, but to Nawal and YingYing a big thank you from us both for a truly wonderful stay and we hope to be back soon.

The cleaning room service was very good, but If u wanna leave ur room be ready to have to wait a long time for the elevator and some rude reception employees and rooftop employees (not everyone ofcourse). The elevators stoped working so when i came back to the hotel they referred us to the staff elevator without an explanation, only with finger pointing to where we should go, i don’t know if i would call that service. This is a short version of the not so comfortable stay at this hotel, otherwise it’s ok if u’re not used to good service and don’t care.

- Angela (4/5): Avoid at all costs - Do not stay here. Spent two sleepless nights. The hotel is shutting down for a few months for room refurbishing so maybe it will be better after that. The location is great. Many other hotel options in the area. Room 1: I booked a triple room for my mother, daughter and I. The room was a good size however there was black mold in shower which made the room uninhabitable. The couch was stained. Halls were dirty. Room 2: Also had black mold, but less. I was still not prepared to risk it. Room 3: Fine but too small for 3 people. They wouldn’t give a discount bc they said it was an upgrade due to the “city view” Room 4: Finally they “upgraded” us to a large beautiful suite on the top floor but they didn’t tell us that the AC was broken! To their credit they brought us multiple fans but with 90 degree temperatures we spent two sleepless nights.The bathtub drain was also broken which they fixed quickly. It was disingenuous to give us a room as an “upgrade” but not tell us that they couldn’t have rented the room anyway because of the AC! Also they lost one of our bags and my hat in the luggage storage. I finally went to search for it myself and it was connected to someone else’s luggage! The hotel has refused to give us any kind of refund. I am pleased to say hotels.com did give us a small discount. I can recommend the sky bar and pool on the 7th floor which are operated independently.
- lindsaypE3135NF (10/5): A perfect stay in a prime location - This is a top notch hotel in the heart of Barcelona. The rooms are clean, beautiful and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful. We spent 3 nights in a room with a terrace overlooking the city then when our flight was cancelled and we booked another room, they graciously upgraded our room and gave us champagne! The pool is nice but the hours are only 10-6 and the Skybar on the roof has great food, drinks and views! It is close to the hop on/hop off (city tour) bus, airport bus and so many good restaurants!
- averyb693 (10/5): Amazing Experience in the Suites on Our Wedding Weekend - We have stayed at the 45 Times Barcelona a number of times while planning our destination wedding in Barcelona (basic rooms and more premium rooms), and every time they have exceeded our expectations. Most recently, we booked both the Barcelona and the Tower Suites on our wedding weekend to use for bridesmaids and groomsmen gathering and getting ready for the wedding. The suites are massive (both are 2 or 3 levels) and beautifully/modernly decorated and had everything we needed - not to mention the BEST views in Barcelona, especially the Barcelona Suite Rooftop!! The hotel staff, specifically Naual and Olga, made our stay unforgettable as they were so easy to coordinate with, they were especially accommodating with our unique requests, and they offered us many lovely surprises during our stay to help us celebrate our wedding. We felt so pampered and taken care of by the staff, and it made our special weekend so much more memorable. We will always be grateful to the team for their top notch hospitality, and we will be back many times!

Breakfast at 730am and wont give a refund if you have prepaid and decide to cancel. Pool closes at 6pm and small lounge areas close at 8pm, very inconvenient if you are an early riser or want a swim after supper.

The staff keep stopping me at the entrance. I know there’s a lot of foot traffic becuz of the rooftop lounge. Since the staff didn’t recognizing me. Before walking in the hotel I showed my Room card. My hotel room was 519. You have a window but it’s facing the back. Cleaning crew was on point. They knock on the door to clean. So make sure you put “do not disturb”. Rooftop get pack.

Unfortunately it is let down a little by the roof top bar as many other reviews have stated it seems very understaffed at busy times and the managers attitude is not the greatest, we tried unsuccessfully to order food several times but left hungry. But that was just the roof top bar, the rest of the hotel is superb.

Although we had a small issue with the air conditioning, Nawal was incredibly attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. She even helped us organize our train to Madrid, which was a huge help. The highlight was the lovely surprise she prepared for us in the room , it truly made our stay unforgettable. This will always be our favorite place, and we’ll definitely recommend it to everyone!
- Ajay (10/5): - The location of the hotel is very central – with rail and bus lines right below the hotel. The plaza Catalunya station is a hub for connecting to different parts of the city. Our hotel room (triple room) was huge and accommodated our family very comfortably. The view from the rooftop bar is amazing. The breakfast buffet has a very extensive variety of both hot made to order dishes. In addition to salads, fruits, the best cappuccino we had in Spain (ask the staff to make you one instead of the machine). Christopher, Sergei, Alessandro and Karol in the dining area were very accommodating and courteous. Salah at check in was helpful regarding getting a taxi or giving us information for areas around the hotel. We will definitely stay at this location anytime we return to Barcelona again. Again, the staff at the hotel was absolutely fantastic.
- patricksW4350OC (2/5): Zero customer service - Just awful. Had booked a week in March, and a week in June - hoping to stay here three more weeks after that during the rest of the year. But the service is so lacking, from leaking shower, to TV's mounted in angles unwatchable from bed, and roomservice delivered cold after an hour - there are just too many flaws for me to ever want to return. Sorry - I will put up with this week, but I look forward to staying elsewhere on business the rest of the year.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location ! Comfortable stay - I enjoyed my stay as it is very comfortable and the location is very central. Staff was very nice but need to communicate more efficiently. I paid for breakfast although it was already included in my booking, and when I presented myself at breakfast area they told me I didn't have breakfast although i paid (twice) for it. Staff handled the situation properly but please be careful next time. The elevator system is really not practical, you have to wait a lot and there was a problem in my floor so I had to take the stairs twice (6th floor).

I have been several times to Barcelona and it is a good location for a first timer. The hotel is nice, many rooms overlook placa de Catalonia which is always busy so if you don’t like city sounds make sure to book an inner room cause it isn’t sound proofed. I had a slight problem with my room the first day which was a bit outdated and worn out but the problem was sorted as much as possible by the sweet and lovely Miss Nawal Kayou, she was very friendly and always keen to ask if all was ok and if we are having a good time there. (I was visiting my daughter in Barcelona) . The rooftop sky bar was nice, a lively and stylish area overlooking the city.

- Augusto (6/5): - This is somewhat strange hotel. Long waits for checking in and checking out since here was only one person at the front desk. The room is awkwardly designed, with the toilet, shower and washbasin in three different spaces, separate from each other. The architects who designed the rooms did not believe that it would actually be convenient to have an integrate bathroom, with all facilities in one room; they wanted to be different for the sake of difference, sacrificing the comfort of the guests. This is an overpriced hotel and I am not likely to come back; there are better options in Barcelona.

The location was fantastic for seeing the area including fun museums and great shopping. It was just after Cmas and there was even a small Xmas market that ended the night we arrived.

The other negative thing was that there were two elevators having problems all the time… but for overall it was an excellent experience.

It was too small. I loved the mirrors in the bathroom but again not so functional for its purpose. Lighting was great, fridge perfect, the closet very good. the TV was great. Of course my room was noisy as it was facing the plaza but I didn't mind

- Norman (2/5): - ALL ROOM LIGHTS TURNED ON AT 4:00am BOTH NIGHTS!!! Both Iberostar and Expedia no help at all. Be warned if you stay at Iberostar Hotels or book with Expedia. We stayed at the Iberostar Selection Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona on Nov 3-4, 2024 We checked into the hotel and were provided a very nice room with a balcony, as we had reserved. The room was small, but very nicely decorated, very clean and quite quiet. It also had a multi-functional lighting system with lots of ceiling, wall, and floor lighting – when they were all on, the room was very bright (more on this later!). The hotel common areas were nice, the staff were great and the included breakfast was very good. We believed that we had made an excellent hotel selection from the Expedia offerings. However, at 0400 in the morning, while we were asleep, ALL OF THE LIGHTS TURNED ON by themselves and woke us up. My first thought was that someone had broken into the room. My wife was frightened. I turned off the lights and we tried to get back to sleep. However, we woke up again at 0600 because the room was too hot. It turned out that, when the lights turned back on, the AC thermostat had reset itself to 18 instead of 15 where I had set it at bedtime. I advised the hotel about the problem and they sent a technician to re-set the electrical panel. He said it should be OK now. However, at 0400 on the second night ALL the lights turned on again! I could not believe it. [more to follow]
