Guest Reviews
- Alessio (7/5): - La posizione vicino a gran bazar e principali Moschee.
- Adelina (9/5): Sejur frumos! Vremea nu a fost prea prietenoasa dar per total general a fost un mini Sejur frumos. - Hotel curat, cochet,
Mic dejun nu foarte diversificat dar conform așteptărilor și prețului. Nu am nimic de comentat
- IBRAHIM (9/5): TRES BIEN -

- KJ (10/5): A wonderful stay in a perfect location with amazing staff — we felt at home and will definitely keep coming back! ❤️ - We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff were incredibly sweet, kind, and always ready to help. Special thanks to Figen and Semra — they were so lovely and made us feel truly welcome. The hotel is right in the city centre, making it very easy to commute, with tram access close by, great restaurants around, and shopping areas nearby. The location is unbeatable, and the overall atmosphere made us feel completely at home.
Good variety of breakfast too.. 10/10 Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like — everything met our expectations and more.

- Mihaela (10/5): Conform așteptărilor - Locația aproape de obiectivele turistice
- RUFAT (7/5): What a lovely accomodation! - Everything was perfect! Nevertheless, some inconsistencies we are not happy with about the hotel were the payment system and hair-drier of bathroom. It was too weak, in fact, furthermore, I suppose there should be an error which occurred in the payment. We tried multiple times to pay the rent, however, that said “password is incorrect”, although we changed and set a new password right there. Hope all these will be removed soon.
- ABAH (8/5): - La proximité de l’établissement du centre ville mais aussi l’accueil, le calme et le bon comportement du personnel vis à vis des clients
- Oana (10/5): -
- Peter (4/5): - Ok samo zajtrka ni bilo nikoli v nedeljo ze ob 08.00 zjutraj vse v temi Nič posebnega
- Jilani (9/5): Superb -
- Sohrab (5/5): Passable - Ok
- Christiane (10/5): - The people who are in charge
- Andreeaene (10/5): Exceptional -
- SEIYAD (10/5): A Very Good Family Friendly Hotel. - Your hotel was an amazing and family-friendly location recommended by one of my UN Staff Turkey friends he is an ex-colleague of mine a Police Officer who served with me in the UN. My special thanks to my brother Police Officer Muhamet and your hotel located in the middle heart of Istanbul City near Beyazit Grand Bazar.
- Luís Oscar Ibáñez (8/5): - EL DESAYUNO DEJA MUCHO QUE DESEAR
- pencus (2/5): Verry roud personsl - The personal who is in carrge on the nigth is very rude and unpolitr. He is unable to use POS and issue an invice. Mor of that he was verry upsate that that we asked to pay with our card bank, due to the fact we have enought money to pay cash. He suddenley forget to speak english although in the first night we talked in english and roumain. He was verry roud.

- Habib (8/5): Very good -
- Tintu (8/5): Very good -
- Ashad (9/5): Very happy and satisfied overall - Excellent service throughout our stay. Friendly. Staff and always at hand to help with any issues Noise from the restaurants just opposite the hotel at night which kept up awake until quite late on occasions
- Andreeaene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tinim (8/5): Would go to this hotel again, definitely. - Very good and quick respond from reception at making reservation. They are also very helpful during staying. But absolutelly BEST is location. Near Grand Bazar, enough small stores and cheap places to eat nearby. Great value for the price. Breakfast could be better, but it's not too bad.
- Petar (8/5): Very friendly staff and a convenient location. Definitely a good value for money. -
- Martin (8/5): All at all very good. - Very good place for this price. Breakfest not bad, but absolutely the same every day.
- Danmarginean (9/5): Superb -
- Katina (10/5): - This is my 6th time I have stayed at Hotel Nezih Istanbul. The staff are all friendly the rooms very clean breakfast excellent . The Nezih hotel is very close to all shops walking distance to The Grand Bazaar,
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location close to Grand bazaar but not suitable for seniors as there 2-3 min of steep up road walking.
- hussainea (4/5): BAD - the position of the hotel is good but the people are greedy and don't care about the service. The breakfast was just OK not more.
It smells smoke in the bathroom, when we coplained about it they ignored it. Not clean or well oriented rooms.
- Shifazaask (6/5): Classic - A warm welcoming hotel. Extremely clean and we were given a choice between 2 rooms. The decor is very classical and a lot of thought and care has been put in to make it look homely. However lighting could definitely be brightened, the rooms are very dark and we had to keep the main and bedside lights on. Breakfast is ok, choice is a bit minimal and repetitive. We were there for 4 days and the breakfast was exactly the same each day. The bathroom was tiny and definitely a drawback, there wasn't enough room to comfortably come out of the shower without brushing past the toilet and we're slim. The walls are very thin and if you're a light sleeper you may want to consider staying elsewhere, everything that's going on near your room can be heard inside. We were out exploring the city all day every day of our stay so we didn't mind, however, if you plan to spend more time in your hotel room this is not the hotel for you.
- lokmank52 (10/5): Good stuff.rooms.breakfest.wifi - The hotel situated at the heart of istanbul about 5mnt to grand bazar and tramway staition and not far from the other touristics places like sultanahmet and ayasofia and so on also the breakfest and its location were excelent they turkish breakfast so in not totally deferent to algerian breakfast so according to this price i think is bery good
- colorimoda (8/5): charmy hotel - A little hotel, at the center of Istanbul, near Grand Bazaar.A hotel that will not disappoint the traveler. I have traveled many times in Istanbul and stayed in hotels that I could not sleep! Here I could stay for weeks. If they had better breakfast would be my top choice!
- 531shakeels (10/5): full points - excellent location- 5 mts walk to tram station and grand bazaar ...resturants and supermarket beside the hotel..
excellent staff - especially the charming lady FIGIN.... with a smile always on her face who is very kind and helpful...she gave good advice and directions to visit various places ...she helped me out of the way ...THANK YOU so much for everything.. figin...
neat and clean spacious comfortable rooms
good wifi
good breakfast
for sure i will stay here in my next visit
- TanyaR697 (8/5): Would stay here again - We visited Istanbul for a concert at the end of June, and made a log wekend out of it. We could've found a cheaper place to stay, but friends had booked here, so we opted for staying together. The location is just perfect, the Grand Bazaar is just around the corner, and you can easily walk to the main sights of the city. We hardly made use of public transport at all, and walked everywhere.
We had booked a double, and our room was incredibly spacious and actually had a double bed and another three singles in it... also a couch and fridge, and a big closet to hang our clothes. The complimentary breakfast was just great, they had lots of options. We were very happy with our stay!
- massimobianchini1 (8/5): Perfect location with all the essential - Outstanding location. This hotel is at walking distance from Gran Bazar, Blue Mosque, Aya Sofya, Basilic Cistern and many other Istanbul attractions or, if you prefer, 3 minutes far from the tram stop. However it is in a very quiet area.
Bed was comfortable, staff is nice and professional. All essential services are available, including the safe and the free of charge and stable wireless connection .
Breakfast is sufficient to start the day with a full of energy.
We found much more than we could expect for the money spent.
- LiviaPu (10/5): Situated on a quiet street - In the chaos of Istanbul I received a very quiet room as I asked. I did'n expect that :). Very good value for money, our room was a little small but it didn't matter. Breakfast ok, almost the same. I didn't like the salamy but you had other things to choose from.
2 tram stations from Sultanahmet but you could also walk, it's 100 meters from the Grand Bazar. It's perfect.
If I will return to Istanbul I would stay again at Nezih. Didn't have anything to complain about. :)
- elmorome (8/5): Very Good value for money - We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. Excellent location: only 4 real minutes walk from Beyazit tram stop and from Gran Bazar entrance. At Gran Bazar entrance you can find several "easy going" restaurants and turkish fast foods such as doner kebap, borek etc...a "do not miss" bakery in a tiny street, 50 meters away from the entrance of the Gran Bazar with fantastic coconut and nuts fresh cookies (the name of the bakery is DayDay pastanesi in Carsikapi n°18/2). Breakfast is good and varied. Hotel is in a very quiet location even thow in the heart of old istanbul and in the whosesale district. Rooms are big. We were given a 3 single beds room even thow we were just 2 of us. Bathroom brandnew renovated, double glaze windows. Staff very friendly and helpfull. We will surely book again at Nezih hotel.
- PelleH730 (8/5): Excellent service and location - This hotel is not a top notch hotel in terms of luxury. But it has a friendy staff. The rooms has good beds, it is well equipped and kept tidy and clean. Good, fast, free Wifi is included. They serve turkish breakfast with fresh fruit, juice, youghurt, cerial, bread with various toppings, tea and (weak) coffee. The prizes are cheap. One negative thing was that the sink sever was very slow.
The hotel is very well located in Bayazit, about 200 meters from the tram and The Grand Bazaar. Aya Sofya, Sultanahmet, Blue Mosque and the Basilica Cistern and numerous shops with different goods is located within short walking distance. There are lots of restaurants on the way to the top sights. We will return, Thank you!
- Istanbuldaki (10/5): Ultra Brilliant - Very friendly staff especially Ms Firgan the manager and Ms Zeynnep. Great hospitality. very clean rooms. Excellent facilities. Brilliant breakfast. Very near to Grand Bazar. Very near to commercial shops. I would recommend without doubts.
- GAxiak (10/5): Holiday in March - The hotel was very clean, very central, very close to the Grand Bazaar, breakfast was very good. the family room was big and clean. The hotel staff speak good English and are very helpful. Wifi is very good. The building is old but typical, so we enjoyed it. The bathroom was also big and comfortable. I highly recommend it especially if you plan to spend most time sight seeing and shopping.
- kellysaralynne (8/5): A nice, convenient place to stay. - We stayed in room 503 for two nights in March, 2013. The room was a triple single bed room with a wardrobe, tv, mini fridge (a plus!) with a chair and a bathroom. It was a nice size, but we used the extra bed for luggage storage so that helped. Also the wood floor bowed up in the middle of the room. Kind of strange but didn't seem to make any difference except when getting up at night to pee you might stumble a little. The shower doesn't flood the whole bathroom but the hot water was hit or miss. In the morning you got about 5 mins Max before it ran out. Midday or early evening was a little better. Night time was about the same as morning. The street is quite noisy because of all the shops nearby and shopowners in the street til pretty late yelling and talking with each other. Then at night there are lots of sounds of manufacturing, hammering metal, etc. At least if you close the windows it's fairly quiet, but room gets stuffy. Luckily we didn't mind the noise so much as it was part of the way of life in that area. But if you want sonething quiet, don't stay in old town.
Also only one girl staff member spoke okay English. But everyone was very nice. The breakfast was pretty terrible the one morning we went so we chose not to go back. Coffee was burned, juice was tasteless, meats looked gross, jelly was really runny. But by that point I'd been eating European hotel breakfasts for close to 3 weeks and was growing weary of them.
It was very clean and great priced. We would stay here again.
- TabithaM807 (6/5): Cheap room and great breakfast - While traveling in Turkey my wife and I stayed at the Hotel Nezih Istanbul, it was extremely reasonable for the 4 nights we were there it cost $303.73. The room was very clean and we enjoyed that it was only a short walk to the Grand Bazaar. They served breakfast between 7am and 10 am. The building is old and the bathrooms are in need of some serious updating, but overall it was nice place. The staff though spoke limited English was very helpful and friendly.
- republicofreviews (8/5): Cheap hotel, good breakfast, helpful manager - The hotel is situated in Beyazit- only 3 minutes walk to the tram stop and Grand Bazar and 20 minutes to Sultanahmet. If you would not mind staying outside Sultanahmet area in a cheap hotel, this is it.
We booked online for two nights at 55 Euro on our first leg of stay in Istanbul. We were checked into room 503. It was a big room with triple beds and a couch, but congested with all the furniture having no space to keep luggage. We ended up putting them on the single bed.
With boiled egg, chicken suasage, beef sausage, salads, olives, different types of bread, cheese and jam, juice, tea, cereal- this breakfast was by far the best we had in the 4 Turkish hotels we stayed in. The breakfast room is in the basement but nicely decorated.
For our second leg of stay in Istanbul, we had booked a hotel in Taksim. But decided to change to Old Istanbul area after having arrived in Istanbul. All good value for money hotels/hostels were booked in Sultanahmet. And even the hostels in Sultanahmet are more expensive than hotels in Beyazit. A bit reluctantly (but because of the service and location) we chose to stay in Nezih for 3 more nights on our second leg. But this time we were really happy with the room.
We got room 504 which had plenty of free space for luggage and had more light too. Figen, the manager who had even helped us carry our luggage to tram station was very helpful. An extremely nice lady she makes the hotel service get its marks.Unlike the other staff she speaks good English which makes communication easy.
A downside of the location is the airport shuttle service does not come to this area. And if you have 2 big luggage it can be hard to carry them uphill to the tram station. So for airport pick up/transfer, you either have to use the hotel private transfer service for Euro 20 (max 4 person) or get a taxi.
- Hayyoot (10/5): Good enough Cheap Hotel - Well, you get what you pay for, if you want a high level place, pay accordingly. However, if you want to stay on a low budget, this is a good place, staff were friendly (specially Ramis), room was clean and queit, beds were comfy, which is very important when you are traveling, and you need your witts during the day.
Three stars rating in Istanbul is equal to one star in the US, this applies to Nezih, and all the Hotels we stayed at in Turkey, so, keep your expectations realestic, the toilet and the shower inside leaked slightly, the room was pretty small, but, all in all, our three nights stay was pretty comfortable.
- ClaudeandMina (2/5): Room 202: Smell of Rancid Human Faeces - We booked for a family of 4, with two infant children. They responded promptly and booked us a room for 50 EUR. Airport pickup worked fine. The desk when we arrived was a surly, unsmiling man, who conveyed to us in no uncertainty that he would be resolving no problems -- it is not easy to come by this level of uselessness in Istanbul when you have two infant daughters -- a real rarity. The room had four single beds and was brown. It looked out on a back wall. We were hit immediately upon entering the room by the smell of rancid human faeces emerging from the bathroom, with possibly an undercurrent of old cigar smoke. They were unable to change our room, but promised us a new room the next day, so we did not check out immediately. In the morning they promised to move us, but when we came back in the evening, this was, we were told, impossible. Breakfast: standard fare, with good bread. The coffee was filtered bilgewater however. Some of the staff eventually warmed up to us, but it took a while.
We will definitely never stay here again. Part of it is just that, with a minimum of effort, this could actually be a decent hotel, but no one here appears to care that much. Istanbul has much better at similar price range. Also, casual lying to customers is bad service. Final word: Maybe this is standard in Turkey, but we were shocked at how badly they treated their African paying customers.
I hope the owners read this review and wake up.
- TravelingKarima (10/5): Great location and extraordinary kindness - Approaching airport security for the return trip, I found to my horror that my passport had been left at the hotel desk. The manager, who had been consistently helpful with our many requests, capped her kindness by sending my passport with a trusted taxi driver so that I could catch my flight. This small hotel is pretty, warm, welcoming and right at the heart of everything: a bustling street scene, interesting contrasts of east and west, five minutes to the tram line and easy walking to the Grand Bazaar and beautiful Bayazit mosque--which incidentally, makes a great landmark for the easily lost, since it marks the place where you turn down the hill. The Turkish-style breakfast was fresh, plentiful and good and and the service was great. I will certainly stay there again!
- markkut (8/5): 2008 3 weeks, 2009 and 2010 one month - Nice location in Beyazit, only few minutes to the tram, Grand Bazar and 15-20 min to Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace. Easy to walk to Eminönü.
Good and clean rooms without all carpet; all carpet in a hotel is totally negative. Big and heavy breakfast and very nice service.
