• Haddar (10/5): - The pictures do not do the mountain resort justice. It’s even more beautiful in person! The hosts were extremely kind and gracious. They constantly checked up on us and asked us if we needed anything. They were really kind and the place is absolutely gorgeous. I recommend staying here when you are in Krabi to get away from the city, it’s so beautiful to be in the mountains and the private pool and in the nature. We will definitely be coming back here again in the future!

• Fiona (9/5): Lovely Secluded Retreat - The owner was very friendly and the food tasty and good value. We bought our small dog who loved mixing with the local dogs who accompanied us on our morning walks. Plenty of tracks to explore and a nice place to chill in the evenings with a drink.

Der var kun en stående blæser på værelset, og den var ikke tilstrækkelig til en god søvn. Der var meget varmt. Sengen var meget simpel.

Djungel resorten är fantastisk om man gillar natur, enkelhet och stillhet. Finns en naturlig pool som är så fin. Maten i restaurangen är bland det bästa vi ätit i Thailand. Kan inte tacka ägarna tillräckligt för gästvänligheten och att de gjorde vår vistelse så fin. Kommer att komma tillbaka.

La cabane et la literie sont sommaires mais ça fait partie de l’aventure.

No scooter rental so if you want one consider renting from Krabi town or ask the owner about arranging a drop-off. The owner was very helpful in arranging travel plans! Also enjoyed all the lizards It would have been great to have some place to refill water bottles, as it felt wasteful to always need to buy a new one. Prices for food are higher than in town which is normal I suppose (great curry though!).

Son arranged a day trip to see the national park and the tiger temple which are close by! Their onsite restaurant is lovely, food is delicious! Son was sure to keep the beer fridge stocked up too! :) was a highlight of our trip! Nothing!

• Linda (10/5): Great hideaway with great owners. - The location is breathtaking beautifull and the family running it are the sweetest. It is a family business and they make you feel part of their family. The huts are spacious, clean and very well aired (you do not need the fan at night). The nature pool is a bit off a climb up to the mountain but very worth the walk up. Just 15 minutes outside Krabi you are emerged in nature! ❤️ Nothing.

• Toh (7/5): Good - The beautiful wooden chalets were situated in the midst of lush forest. We enjoyed the natural and rustic vibe. Son and his team made us feel very welcome. A delicious dinner was prepared for us at short notice, very impressive. We were disappointed that the natural spring pool was closed during the low season. We understand that it was very difficult to upkeep. There was rat poo on the room floors.

• Arthur (10/5): Perfect for relaxing and walking in the nearby forest - The small family-run lodge is perfectly situated, at the end of a small village, near the Phanom Bencha National Park, with some tall karstic cliffs, river, and short hiking trails in the nearby forest. The bungalows are large and comfortable. The super friendly owner can organise longer hikes elsewhere or transportation to the national park entrance. The meals are very tasty.

Good mosquito net in room. We didn’t have our own transport so it was hard to get out and do much. Accommodation was pretty basic. The geckos were very cute but they did poop a lot.

• Jasper (10/5): Amazing jungle experience and wonderful hosts. - The best host family ever, Son and Jup will do all they can to look after you in their tropical jungle paradise. The food was the best we ate in Thailand and the bungalow, albeit basic was perfect for our stay. We say so much wildlife and loved the natural swimming pool . The bungalows are basic so expect to hear noises at night from the wild life and welcome the animal visitors that come in ( lizards, spiders,) This is a proper jungle so if prone to bites, bring strong repellent ( 50+ deet) and cover in the evenings. We didn’t do this and it cost us our comfort.

The food is great and reasonably priced as well! Lots of nature around the property. The rooms are very basic, I was happy with them. My gf wanted a softer bed haha, but she wants to visit again just to see the owners.

I also loved hearing the jungle sounds from my little villa at night before going to sleep. Also really good and affordable food in the restaurant easily the best food I’ve ever eaten at a hotel 10/10 If you ever travel somewhere near this hotel, then it’s a must stay hotel for anyone who wants to experience the jungle and want to “getaway” for a couple of days :)

• Simon (6/5): Not a good place for a baby - The resort is located in a natural surrounding. You have a great view at a mountain and hear lots of animals in the nighttime. The owner is trying to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We were traveling with a baby and received a room with an extra bed for free. It's not the right place when you are traveling with a baby. There is no place to crawl. The mosquito nets had holes in them.
• James (10/5): Beautiful Phanom Bencha. - Great place for getting away into really natural surroundings. It is set back in jungle territory and the accommodation is basic mountain bungalows. This is not the type of place with all mod cons but that’s what makes it special. No TV. No Air con. No fridge. No kettle but what you do get is a very warm welcome from hosts Son and Mama Joop. The place is family run and really has that family vibe. You don’t feel like a guest in a resort but a friend. Food is cooked fresh onsite and is so very tasty. Every meal I had was spot on. You may have a frog in the bathroom and a few lizards living in the ceiling but again that’s what makes the place special. I will definitely be back there again in future.
• Marco (10/5): Wonderful. A place for nature lovers. - The location and the landscaping work done by Son and his family to make this place a resort in a natural setting is amazing. From a stream a pond has been created, so that the guests can sit at the lounge and watch the fish, or a water monitor silently gliding in the water, egrets and pond herons flying through the trees, or a sunbird enjoying the nectar of a banana flower. A member of the family keeps a collection of caged bulbuls. They are twittering and chattering all the time, making the guest feel he is in the jungle. A rural touch is the handsome bull kept in the yard by the pond. The creek provides for a habitat to a great variety of colorful butterflies. All the area in and around the resort offer opportunities for birdwatchers. The slope where the bungalows are is next to a rubber plantation and faces a limestone cliff covered with forest. The bungalow are well separated one from the other and the garden is made of a varieties of trees, almost like a botanical garden. At the top of the slope there is a small pool where one can refresh in the green, watching the forest covered hills. The night is full of sounds of the forest. What makes this place unique is its secluded position, the careful landscaping and the hospitality of Sun, Chop and their family. Special people. The food is good and the atmosphere is cheerful and relaxed. I spent here two most enjoyable days, just walking around the resort and chilling at the lounge. This is a place where the concepts of hours and days evaporate and fade away.

• Lucy (10/5): Welcoming stay with Son and family at beautiful resort - This stay felt more like a homestay that a resort! The scenery was stunning, the resort looks out onto limestone cliffs. There were easily accessible short walks from the property. The cabin was fitted with a mosquito net and bathroom. The resort has a fresh water pool which was great for cooling off from the hot sun! The restaurant served delicious food at a good price and the staff (Son, Chop and family) were so accommodating they felt like family! Nothing!
• Hannah (9/5): Backpacking with kids - We loved everything about it, the owners are fabulous, we felt like we were at home and well cared for and our kids loved the natural pool and we spent hours looking at the insects, geckos and toads... food was lovely too 😍 Mozzies love me and that's the only thing that I didn't like both me and my son got quite badly bitten until I started wearing socks and sandals as the sun went down.... that's nothing the resort could help me with 😬

Basic facilities but just what is needed and well thought out extras like a hammock, table+ chairs, bench. Ants around front door, cockroaches in my bathroom. Shower not very powerful but adequate.

• Debora (10/5): A beautiful stay in the jungle - We really enjoyed our stay in this resort. It was so beautiful to be surrounded by jungle and being able to explore it. We took walks during the day and went looking for wildlife during the night. We found frogs, spiders, geckos, snakes, stick insects… We also had a few visitors in our bungalow, for example geckos that stayed in the roof. Sometimes you can hear them and of course other sounds from the jungle, we loved it! Of course we also had some insects in our bungalow from time to time, but way less than expected! The mosquito net gave us a lot of comfort during the night. The resort is run by a family and all of them were so kind and helpful! As the location is remote, we always ate at the resort. The food was great and the prices were good. Unfortunately, the mattress was too hard for us, as we are used to softer ones.

The location is so beautiful set beneath a massive beautiful mountain in serene gardens in a cute private bungalow. And that's not even the best bit ! The owners Moma Chop and Son are the warmest most loving people and have made us fall in love with the place and will be returning to this dream land some time in the future for sure ! Off the beaten track for some authentic Thai vibes and amazing family made food ❤️❤️❤️❤️ That we couldn't stay longer !

Hopefully, they continue to recover from the covid setbacks so they can offer this beautiful property to more people. The signage to locate the property needs to be corrected to avoid delays, and the staff should avoid smoking where guests are eating.

You wake up with the sounds of the jungle and see all kind of flowers and fruit trees around. Son and his family were really nice and helped with all we needed, including booking a car with driver for a daily trip. The restaurant is in a nice setting with reasonable prices and big portions (you may try also the desert - bananas in coconut milk which kids adored;) personally I also appreciate the fact that the wifi is only at the reception so namely teenagers get disconnected for a moment;) The bungalows are simple but big and comfortable, with big terrace from where you can enjoy the surrounding nature. All was great, you shall only consider it is quite remote location, nothing around. The bathroom is bit older and usual as in this type of accomodation in Thailand meaning that the shower is not separated from the rest, but we got used to it.

• Kuan (10/5): Perfect quiet nature getaway with very comfortable bungalows and amazing food. - Beautiful quiet location with an exceptional restaurant, spacious and clean accomodation, and pleasant, responsive hosts. The food is really good and sourced primarily from the resort’s own garden. There are many pleasant walks through the hills, as well as a natural jungle pool to cool off in. The property is very well maintained and gardened, you can tell that the family that owns and runs Phanom Bencha really cares. There wasn’t much to complain about, there were even almost no mosquitos in the region around the bungalow we stayed in. We stayed two weeks and only didn’t like that we couldn’t stay longer!!!

Overall an awesome place. There was a big spider in our room but it was not a problem since most of the insects there are harmless, we told The owner of the place - Son and he immediately came to capture it.

Beautiful river going through the property with astonish natural pool in the middle of the jungle with breathtaking view over the mountain. If you like the nature and everything that goes with it don't miss this place. Family run business, exceptionally friendly people, super good food and cheap considering the remoteness. We felt like at home.

Everything is great! If you want to take a break from noisy cities, enjoy nature, stay in a friendly, family atmosphere - you should definitely come to this place, to the amazing Son and Chop! My heart is with you forever! Thank you so much for your kind and warm welcome and care!
• Aaron (10/5): One of my best stays in Thailand, Lovely place with amazing hosts!!! - it was located in the jungle in a beautiful setting, best nature reserve that I have ever stayed at! The owners are amazing, couldn’t of been anymore accommodating they make you feel like family :) I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to escape the beaches and reconnect with nature in a beautiful resort. The food was absolutely delicious, best food I’ve tried in Thailand so far! TRY THE STEAK AND THE RICE BALLS! Thank you for having me, I will be back!!! there’s nothing at all that I didn’t like!!

• Dominique (10/5): An unforgettable experience! , worth the trip! - the resort is absolutely idyllic and very peaceful. The owners are very welcoming and friendly with excellent knowledge of the english language. We ate dinner and breakast at the resort's restaurant and it was very nice Thai Food.

• Gavin (10/5): Family of four - Great service from Son and his family. Very picturesque location and you can do day trips through Son. If you're looking for piece and tranquillity this is the place. Great view when swimming up in the rock pool. The food is very good as well.
