Guest Reviews
- Olga (10/5): Liked it - Very nice, true to the pictures M

- Hosana (10/5): - We found this trough Amex Expedia offers and it was more than expected. The house was clean well kept with beautifully curated interior. The view of the mountains the river that runs through the property was dreamy. We couldn’t make it the first night due to snow storm and the manager was so thoughtful and helpful assisting us and making sure we enjoyed our stay. The property is well maintained and they pay close attention to detail including list of to do and to visit while you stay in the are which we found very helpful. The pictures do not do it justice and it’s reasonably priced for what it is. Thank you for opening your property. We will definitely go back.
- Beate (10/5): Exceptional - The house is beautifully furnished and the location next to the river is very nice. It's actually a shame to stay for just one or two nights for Bryce Canyon - the house would be perfect for staying a couple of months and writing a book or similar!
- Florida (8/5): Very good - Property was nice but had a hard time with the fireplace. Owners gave very detailed instructions in a binder, however, our 16 year old son looked up the information online and was able to figure it out. It was the most compilated fireplace, I have ever seen. lol Owners gave other great information about the area in the notebook and we used that information during our stay and enjoyed some local restaurants. Tons of space, lots, of games, very clean, everything you need in the kitchen with spices and oil.
- Jessica (10/5): Life changing memories are made here! - Off the beaten path, yet so close to everything southern UT has to offer. Don’t stay at an over priced “resort” or motel near the national parks, stay here!!! Jean has thought of everything; the “before you arrive” guide helped before and repeatedly during our trip to help use the retreat and give us ideas for the local area we wouldn’t have known otherwise. It made for a comfortable and exciting week! My family has made memories for life on this vacation.
- Teodoro (9/5): perfectl located for the solar eclipse and near several state parks including the grand canyon - na
- Anne (10/5): Awesome house and location - Great location as pictured. Beautiful spot on Sevier River and about 25 minutes from Bryce Canyon. Saw deer in the yard at dusk.
Comfy furniture and a fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful antique furniture throughout house.
Hosts had a complete book about the house and surrounding area. Became very familiar quickly with the area.
If ever in that area in Utah again I would definitely stay here again. Awesome house! Driveway at turn off in bad shape, I think because of recent rains. Almost "bottomed out" our car.
Firepit cooking was not easy.
Recommend guests not put non-stick pans in dishwasher. Pans were horrible to clean. We washed them in the sink but had to soak awhile to get "stuck on food" off.
- Samantha (10/5): Our family needed this vacation and we can not wait to come back for more outdoor adventures! - The property was off the main road and the house was easily accessible. The house was just what we need to get away from the big city and recharge. The starry nights were magical, standing under the Milky Way and gazing at all of the constellations! From the morning views with a cup of coffee and sunsets with campfires....this property does not disappoint.
We were even able to catch a trout in the river. There are so many places in Utah to explore- whether your hiking, exploring caves, visiting the Best Friend Animal Sanctuary, the list is endless- there is too much to do in one trip!
Many memories were made here and we can not wait to return!
The host was kind, welcoming and easy to get in touch with! Great hospitality There is NO AC, but the cool breezes kept the house cold enough.
The only thing I would change is the pillows. Other than that we loved sleeping with the windows opens and enjoying the wonderful temperatures.
- Otto (10/5): We enjoyed the private location, with interesting decorations, between two major National Parks. - We loved the location between Zion and Bryce, and of the physical property itself. Great view of the back side of Bryce, and of the immediate surrounding property including the Sevier river on three sides and farmland beyond it. All indoor living spaces fully met our needs, and the exterior porches and decks on three sides of the house were nice as well. It would have been nice to have a gas grill to cook outside. Also, the upstairs shower is pretty unusable. With no curtain or door, water sprays all over the bathroom. We only used it one time, and then everyone shared the downstairs shower which was fine.
- Donna (10/5): Perfect! - The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable and supplied with all necessities. This was quite thoughtful of the owners. My family and I have been renting vacation houses since 1979, and.I would place this house in the top 5 of the over 50 houses we have rented. Loved everything about the house.
- Yoav (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lois (10/5): A perfect home to share with two other couples while exploring Bryce! - Beautiful home. Very serene! Wonderful host! There was nothing to not like!
- Michele (8/5): Very good -
- Thao (10/5): Wonderful Vacation at Sevier River Retreat - Incredible home that was super clean and majestic views. Pictures do not do this home justice. It is so quiet and secluded. You really are able to unwind and relax. Everything aboit the home was perfect. Closest market is 20+ minutes away so best to bring all provisions to make meals. Home has everything you need to cook meals and bake. We highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.
- Brett (10/5): - I loved this property. Location is excellent. The home is well equipped, very clean with all the necessary amenities.
Please note that stores, etc really do shut down in the cold months and you won't have access to much. Make sure you bring whatever cooking and food supplies you might need. We have a small baby and had to create a little barricade at the top of the steps because she crawls around.
Great home and location to make wonderful family memories.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We’d recommend this to anyone who was staying in the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I highly recommend this property. The house is very nice; it’s CLEAN, high end furnishings, situated on acreage by a beautiful river in a quaint little town. Ideally situated between national parks we were hiking in. We loved it, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
