Hotelli oli myös erittäin tasokas ja henkilökunta teki kaikkensa että huomioivat asiakkaan tarpeet ja että asiakas koki että häneen todella kiinnitetään huomiota. Varausta tehdessä sanottiin, että aamiainen ja wifi kuuluvat hintaan, mutta näin ei kuitenkaan ollut. Wifi kuului hintaan vain jos kuului hotelliketjun kanta-asiakkuuteen ja aamiaisella vain osa valikoimasta kuului hintaan. Lisäksi aamiaisen tilaaminen oli erittäin sekavaa ja vaikeasti ymmärrettävää.

- Grace (5/5): Brilliant staff but the hotel let down by the night club/lounge - - We stayed here as part of our honeymoon, housekeeping staff were so lovely and left us a note and some chocolates to congratulate us. They also left some recommendations for places to visit/eat at nearby - Front desk staff were also very friendly too Similar to other reviews the night club within the hotel (!!) was a huge problem. We were on the 7th floor directly above the night club on the 6th floor, on the Friday night all we could hear was loud club music and our room was vibrating from the bass. We were flying back to the UK the next day so were desperate to get an early night so the whole thing was a bit stressful. Near midnight I called down to the front desk to ask how much longer it was continuing to be told it would continue until 3am. I appreciate it is not the front desk staff’s fault and they were very apologetic, additionally we were offered a formal apology and some compensation in Marriott points. However I do feel the need to point it out in a review as I would not recommend staying here on the event nights which seem to be Fridays and Saturdays. The only other thing is the cooler in the room in lieu of a fridge, whilst cool this was a bit impractical and not very effective. For the money one would probably expect a fridge in the room

- Michael (8/5): Hotel itself is surely one of the best 5 star hotels in Vancouver. - The hotel itself is great. Very friendly staff - front office team was great - keep up the good work! Unfortunately there was a private party in the restaurant / bar area. The music was so loud that we had to move 3 floors up. (Thank you to the team who made it possible). Unfortunately you could still hear everything. For a price of 800$ per night you should at least inform your guests in advance of the party. That left a negative impression, as the hotel itself is really nice.

The Aesop bath products and robes elevate the stay. Unfortunately, on this visit, our particular room had a very noisy mechanical issue that disrupted our sleep but we would try this property again.
- Cari (8/5): - I mostly enjoyed my stay here. It was clean and comfortable, and in a very good location. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Some design elements were odd - why was there a window from the bedroom looking into the shower? I also hated the showerhead - it's a rainfall style head that makes it impossible to stand in the shower without getting your hair wet unless you contort your entire body. Plus, they didn't provide a shower cap, which makes it worse. The strangest thing, though, was the lack of a fridge. Instead, in what would be a perfect spot for a fridge, there was...a Yeti cooler. With instructions to add ice to it. Really strange and kind of ridiculous for a hotel of this calibre. I feel like a Yeti cooler costs roughly what a mini fridge does anyway....just get a fridge in the room!
- Anhuc (2/5): A hotel that does not live up to the Autograph/Marriot brand. Totally not recommended. - The assistant managers who attended to me were very helpful. They sought and found a solution to the serious problem of breakfast, which had to be served in the room (which was not equipped for this) and had a very limited menu. The comfort of the room presents many serious problems. 1. Space for suitcases: there is hardly any space for them. 2. Wardrobe: it is only 40 cm wide, half of which is taken up by the ironing board. 3. Shower: there is no hand-held shower head. Only the overhead shower head. 4. Mini bar. There isn't one as such (with cold drinks), but rather a camping fridge for which you have to leave the room to get ice cubes. 5. Breakfast. A very serious problem because they force you (without warning you during the booking process) to have it in your room and the menu is very limited. We had to sit on the edge of the bed to have breakfast. 6. Wi-Fi. To get it for free, you have to sign up for the Bonvoy programme, which was down for three days. Therefore, three days without an internet connection. 7. Social space/coffee shop/bar in the lobby area. It was always rented out for very noisy events. Impossible to use and very noisy in the reception area.

El servicio de limpieza un desastre, me arruinaron un pantalón y una blusa nuevos, lo trataron de limpiar 3 veces y fue peor, la bisa quedó bien el pantalón horrible y me lo pagaron pero fue increíble que sucediera eso en un hotel de ese nivel!
- Asal (3/5): No value for money. And Lack of amenities - The fact that because of Casino, some restaurants in the hotel were available till late night No fridge at the room!!!!! There is a basic picnic box instead!! Poor wifi connection in 2025!!!! Very small rooms that have a connection door between 2 rooms with very poor noise insulation, feel like the other hotel guests are inside our room!! As a long stay guests the hotel didn't try anything to make our stay memorable, even by a wellcome note . There is no pool, and the jaccuzi doesn't feel quite hygienic. The only accessible restaurant at the lobby has the slowest service despite having staff running around taskmasking!

- Dayyna (10/5): - What an absolutely beautiful property. The Douglas is located next to BC Place and about a 5-10 min walk to Roger’s Arena. There are many restaurants in the property and dozens within a 5 minute walk. The service was friendly and 5/5, the room was modern, quiet and very comfortable. We loved the Aesop products in the bathroom and the robes were so comfy. We will be back.
- Angel (8/5): - Stayed here for 2 night during our anniversary! The facilities itself is great. Connected to the JW Marriott. Check in process was a little slow but I think it was just that night. Underground parking is good but pricey at $50 a day. We booked the breakfast option with was room service. Although it was good breakfast I would skip it for the price. Small gym but was most of what you need and it is open 24/7. We walked over to the JW Marriott and realized our gym passes also worked at their gym which is much bigger with lots more equipment. Lots of restaurant options if you prefer to dine in the building. Casinos for those who partake. Short walk to lots of restaurants and coffee options! Staff was friendly. Would stay again!

- Satnam S (8/5): - A beautiful, clean hotel with great staff. We did have an issue with our room, however. They gave us Room 754 next to the Fitness Centre on the 7th floor. In the early mornings we were awakened by the pounding sound of the treadmill. Also the loud, clunking sound of someone dropping their dumbells on the on the floor. I spoke to the people at the front desk and they said they were unable to give us any full or partial refund because we booked through Expedia. Instead, they signed us up for their Marriott rewards program and gave us 5000 bonus points. I was not happy with this response. It's a great hotel otherwise, just don't take Room 754.

- Nicholas (6/5): - DJ in the lobby meant we couldn’t sleep at our desired time of 10pm - constant thumping was felt/heard even through earplugs (which we shouldn’t have to wear). Hotel rooms are meant for sleep when guests desire sleep. Consider moving the nightclub off property or installing much better sound-deadening in the lobby ceiling. We did not rest properly - and for the amount of money paid to stay in this hotel, this is obviously not a good look/experience. Absence of an in room fridge is a bit strange. The Yeti cooler is nice, but doesn’t fit the image of a five star brand when it’s just sitting out in the open. I had also asked for ice to be placed inside - concierge confirmed this but it didn’t happen. Same for my bonvoy number - which was provided but not uploaded. Overall, nice hotel, Aesop amenities were nice, staff was good but the fundamental noise issue led to a lower rating. We won’t be back or recommend unless the noise issue is fixed.

- Suzette (4/5): - Beautiful hotel in a great location. However, there is an outdoor bar on the east side of the building that is very loud. Lots of music, people till at least 10pm. Complained to the manager and was told the bar wasn't owned by the hotel so there was nothing they could do. Manager was lovely and gave us free breakfast and then an upgrade the next day when a new room was available. But very annoying for this class of hotel. Do not recommend.

My only complaint is that our reservation specifically stated 2 people occupancy but our room only had 1 bathrobe and 1 set of slippers. Bathroom was gorgeous and the 24 hour room service was a huge plus. All sorts of dining — we especially loved breakfasting at Honey Salt. Not to mention the BEST spa we have ever been to. We stayed here after our wedding and spent a couple hours in the spa — best experience. The RMTs were incredible and Thayes, who helped us throughout, was so friendly, professional and simply a true pleasure to be helped by. Would love to stay again.
- chris (10/5): terrible restaurant staffing - Independent hotel restaurant Honey Sugar was only option for breakfast and was horribly understaffed- reputation preceeded my trip and proved to be true. Good food but service incredibly slow with hostess stopping to clean tables while line of 20 waited to be seated. Oblivious to need for moving faster. groups being seated every 5 minutes, with man ahead saying 'same as last time he was here'.

- Victoria (8/5): - The property location is great! Very convenient! The hotel itself is new, modern and staff is very friendly. The only two things to highlight that could be improved: gym is much better in the JW Marriott hotel which you can access as well with the room key, it just needs extra walk. Another challenge can be noise: depending on a room you get you might be facing inner garden with a bar where DJ with music is loud which is what we had to deal with. So check what side your room is on. Otherwise great hotel.

- Justin (6/5): - For the price, it was just ok. The bad. It felt a little run down for a suite. The curtains did not open and close easily, there were many stains on the carpet throughout and the fabric and cushions on the couch was worn. The bathroom was unusually small for such a large suite. The heater in the bathroom did not work and the shower head was leaking and spraying water from the connection point. There were very few lights in the bedroom making it dark at night. There was also a charge of $55 per night for parking and I had to valet because my truck did not fit in the garage. The good. Staff were great. From valets, bellman, room service and front desk, couldn’t ask for friendlier and attentive service. The room was very large and spacious with floor to ceiling windows and great natural light. The bed and bedding was clean and comfortable. I would not stay here again due to the busyness of the attached casino, high price and difficulty getting in and out of the area the hotel is located.

The waterfall showerhead was cool but forced me into washing and styling my hair after each shower. Room service was a lifesaver when I got sick—delicious food in the comfort of my room made all the difference. Parking was a bit confusing, and despite registering my vehicle, I received parking tickets after checking out. It was easy to resolve, just a little time-consuming. Overall, great stay
