Paul (9/5): Very nice relaxing stay in lovely surroundings - Very comfortable room and bed. Nice touch of Gin taster in room, and water and ice room delivery service. Food choices very good. Large wedding group were a bit intrusive at times albeit not rowdy just noisy on that day.

Janet (9/5): A lovely time was had by all of us - The location was lovely, the hotel was well run and the food very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. My Acessable room was roomy the bed was comfortable, there were a few things not helpful when someone has mobility issues .the kettle and all the tea and coffee making items were housed in the wardrobe and the kettle had to be taken to the dressing table to connect it to the electricity supply, the coffee machine was on the floor of the wardrobe very difficult for someone who is disabled. There was no hairdryer in the room or bathroom. The liquid soap container by the sink in the bathroom was too high up and very difficult to push the top to get the liquid soap out. The toilet roll holder was on the wall behind the toilet and difficult to reach without knocking the roll on the floor. I was the single occupant of room 203 Regarding the restaurant and bar facillity, Good service and good food, however, to charge £6 for 3 slices of bread is a bit much, also the 12.5% charge for service for everything even a glass of lemonade is over the top

Breakfast was included but only continental, so a bit disappointing. Also all the spa/pool facilities were closed for refurbishment. We were not aware of this until we received a 'reminder' the day after booking. To be fair this was cleqr from the hotel website but we had booked on booking.com. So we were not aware..

Lynne at reception handled my situation with understanding and professionalism, reviewing the booking timing and kindly waiving the cancellation fee as a gesture of goodwill. That kind of discretion and care reflects very well on the hotel. Nothing to note. I was unfortunately unable to stay due to a booking error on my side, but the team handled it exceptionally well.

The staff deserve a special mention. Outstanding service...attentive, friendly without being overbearing. Special shout out for Phil. What a lovely guy. Highly efficient and clearly takes a great pride in his work. A credit to the Harbour. The food was excellent. ...cooked to perfection. Well presented. Generous portions. Really hot. I couldn't ask for more.

Spacious comfortable room, delicious food at The Jetty and also Upper Deck where we were looked after by the fabulous Phil. Lovely little treats for my husband’s birthday. The room we were given did not match the images shown when booking. After calling reception, we were told we had been allocated a smaller room that wasn’t even pictured on the website, which felt misleading. The room was also uncomfortably hot, making it difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep. In addition, we were aware that the spa facilities were not open, but this was not reflected in the price. Given the limited amenities, the cost did not feel justified.

Food was excellent. Service was also excellent throughout, especially our server Phil. Drinks in the garden after lunch topped off a lovely afternoon

This should have been advised prior to stating otherwise we would have considered another property in their portfolio. The room was too hot. The radiators were on full blast and we couldn’t cool the room down despite turning them off as soon as we arrived.

Passport25652014044 (10/5): Excellent choice - We had been wanting to stay at this hotel for a number of years, but it was slightly higher than our normal price range. We were delighted by our two-night stay and thoroughly recommend this hotel for its attention to detail and the positive attitude of all members of staff. Everyone was so courteous and willing to please, especially the Italian gentleman at Reception. We were upgraded to a deluxe harbour view room, room 304, and it fitted the bill exactly – luxurious, comfortable, light and spacious, with a glorious view of the harbour. The restaurant also provided excellent quality, catering easily for my gluten free needs and offering distinctive, flavoursome dishes. We loved the chicken breast with prawns in a lobster sauce, while puddings included crème brulee and a wonderful fondant with cherries. So, we want to come back!

723cb (10/5): A Perfect Waterside Getaway - We visited with good friends and enjoyed our 2 night stay in well-appointed sea view rooms on the second floor. The hotel is comfortable and beautifully located by the waterside. All the staff were super friendly, professional and gave excellent service with a special mention to Denis in the bar and Phil in the Dining Room. Check in and check out were very efficient.

The Upper Deck restaurant food was a great experience. The food was first class and the experience was enhanced by Phil with his attentive service and engaging conversation. PeterBChilcompton (10/5): Super location by the sea - We enjoyed and excellent break for my wife's birthday. Room was comfortable, staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in both the Jetty and the Upper Deck was superb. We couldn't have been better looked after. We will be back!

sr4774 (10/5): Wonderful 5* quality hotel with outstanding views and restaurant - What a special hotel in a beautiful spot with stunning views (although we were very unlucky with the weather - thick mist - nil visibility!!). We had a two night stay, every member of staff were outstanding and couldn't do enough for us. The food in the restaurant was excellent both nights - very generous portions and beautifully presented. Breakfast too was excellent - all dietary needs catered for. The room was comfortable and spotless (although I would say the bathroom needs some decorating and repair). Overall everything was perfect, but would prefer old fashioned light switches in the room - just couldn't get the buttons to work properly!! Will definitely be back, once the spa is completed as it was a shame we could not use it, and it was not possible to sit outside and enjoy the views today when the weather cleared due to drilling noise and re-building works....but that couldn't be helped. Thankyou everyone for your kindness and professionalism...see you in June!

All the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful and such a pleasure to know that nothing was too much trouble. Attention to detail was first class. Food was great and we enjoyed all our meals, including the G&T service!
rosshP3464TD (10/5): Excellent stay. - Stayed for a Saturday evening and had the best stay we could have asked for. Lovely hotel a short walk to the beach. Room was clean, stylish and the bed was so comfortable. Staff were professional, polite and catered for oir every need (even when we forgot to pack toothpaste). Will definitely be returning again soon.
williams (9/5): have just thought of a nitpick -- the bed was too big! - it would be nitpicking to be critical. food - my wife is a vegetarian and was of the opinion that choices for her were limited/ unimaginative.

Jane (7/5): Unfortunately the spa was closed and the weather was wet and windy but it was February! - Restaurant staff very friendly. 'Cosy room' comfortable. Early dining discount No info given on arrival, eg times of breakfast, location of restaurants, etc. Bath had inadequate grab rails. Soap dispenser out of reach if using the bath. Bedroom window almost impossible to open so no ventilation in the room and when we did open it one morning the car outside was running its engine! The room overlooked the carpark!

chris (7/5): Enjoyable short break would consider returning in the summer. - Service in the hotel was very good and staff were very friendly. The view from our room was also very good. More non seafood/fish options in the main restaurant dinner menu. The weather unfortunately wasn't the best so the view was a little spoiled.

As usual a great experience with wonderful service - this time we stayed in the annex - no view but a huge and comfortable room. The gin is a nice touch! The location is perfect - you can easily walk to Christchurch and east along the coast to Highcliffe Castle. We ate in both restaurants - excellent!
Carol (9/5): Good location for Avon Beach - Continental breakfast is good. Car parking can be tricky so need to factor that in on arrival. Cannot recall if we registered the number plate, I guess that we should have been advised to do that by check in desk. Tonic from mini bar is a tad expensive.

The staff are professional, welcoming, and create a warm atmosphere from the moment you arrive. This was our first visit, but it certainly won’t be our last. We especially loved the Upper Deck restaurant; every dish was exceptional and clearly prepared with care. The restaurant team were outstanding, and Phil in particular made our evening memorable. He was professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful — striking the perfect balance between friendly and discreet service. His knowledge and attention to detail really elevated the whole dining experience
335anabelh (10/5): Fabulous hotel - I think this is an excellent hotel and the best thing about it is the staff who all go the extra mile, nothing is too much trouble. I also love the ambience, the decor and the food, the restaurant is very good. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Complimentary gin is provided for the first night and staff deliver ice and lemon to the rooms each evening. Our room was too hot, that was the only issue. We did use the excellent Dyson fan. I have already booked a stay at another Harbour Hotel
adrian329 (10/5): Night away - We stayed at harbour hotel very friendly and helpful staff our room was comfortable we even had a decanter of gin in room which is a nice touch you get tea and coffee making facilities but they are put away in a cupboard only thing I would say lovely comfortable bed but you need a step ladder to get into it 😂 it's ok if your a tall person

Nicole (9/5): We enjoyed everything about our stay. It was a real highlight of our trip. - The room was fabulous and gin was a really nice touch. You thought of everything :) I used the gym and there was whinging noise that was quite irritating. It would be good to have this fixed. The other thing that would make the gym good is if there was a foam roller to stretch with after completely the exercise. They are not expensive and would be a great value.
