- IAIA (10/5): Like in a Movie - This is the perfect place for a true Roman experience. The building has all the characteristics of a good old local house within an iconic area. You'll fall in love as soon as you cross the main entrance. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Stefano is very kind and would make everything to ensure an enjoyable stay. Francesco helped with the check-in and answered all the questions before I would asked them The location is very central and perfect. The best way to enjoy all the big and little secrets that Rome has to offer is to walk. And it can be easily done from this place. I live abroad but was born and bred in Rome. So believe me when I say: this is a true enjoyable experience to a very high standard.
- Uyuni78 (6/5): Ok place but more should be expected - If I could I'd give the place a 3.5 stars mainly because of the service and attention provided by Stefano, he was great (he was a 5 stars if I could rate his service and help). On the other hand, places in Rome should do a bit better and we, as customers, should expect and demand better accommodation. I understand it's all about offer and demand of products and services, however the hospitality sector in Rome needs to make a bit of effort on the level of accommodation and how it's maintained. For the price paid, in my opinion, La Bernardon Trastevere rooms were quite basic and the accommodation did its purpose, however the bathroom was not the best as it could have been cleaner and it was lacking good size extra blankets appropriate for the bed. Location, on the other hand, was excellent. Because of the mix experience I got during my stay, next time in Rome I'd stay somewhere else.
- MARIA FLORENCIA (8/5): Great stay! - Great location although a bit noisy outside during the night. Room exactly as shown in pictures, both the bathroom and the room big and comfy. Sofa bed a bit rough but bed ok. Daily cleaning room was mentioned in the booking reservation but turned out to be incorrect. Stefano was quick to respond about it and kind to offer a partial reimbursement. Days prior to arrival he contacted me with full details as to how to get there by public transport from the airport, and offered help if any question or inquiry from my end. I recommend the place and I’d happily return.

- Kirsty (8/5): Great location for exploring Rome - The apartment is in a great location for exploring Rome, with good public transport links. The condition of the apartment is good overall. My only suggestion for improvement would be comfortable seating, the current chairs in the living/dining area are very hard and not somewhere to relax after a day of sightseeing. Apart from this everything was very good.
- CHRISTIAN (10/5): Muy buena opción en barrio tradicional de Roma - Si quieres vivir la realidad de un barrio tradicional Romano, este es el sitio , es turístico por sus restaurantes, especialmente el fin de semana, la zona puede dar una mala primera impresión, pero es muy segura y hay transporte público cerca, el Departamento es muy cómodo y grande, ningun problema en el check in, constante comunicación con Stefano el dueño, lo recomiendo.

Firstly, I was moved from a double bed to a single bed after my first night there, even though I had paid for the double room.When I brought this to the attention of the owner, he became rude and aggressive. In both rooms most light fixtures didn't work, nor did the fans (and it was HOT! When I asked for a new one to be brought up, it took an entire day and the second fan didn't work, either), the upholstery was torn, the beds were incredibly uncomfortable, and I GOT BED BUGS. It was disgusting. I recommend you do not stay here.

Está disponible mediante el teléfono y mail. el wi fii me funcionó perfectamente. estuvimos muy a gusto con mi pareja, todo estaba muy limpio, y en la cama se duerme muy bien, es muy cómoda y caben dos perfectamente. Close to all the authentic restaurants in Trastevere. Affordable price point for the area. Clean rooms. Do note that the towels are changed ~4 days so don't go through them too quickly! We took Francesco's restaurant recommendations and had the best carbonara we've ever had at Tonarello. When I return to Rome I will stay here again and highly recommend it!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Would come back - I had an amazing stay, i would definitely stay here again. Only thing that would have made our stay better is a better view outside our window, but I loved the apartment and it was in a great neighborhood.
- Paul (10/5): Excellent accommodation in a great location - This is basically an apartment on the first floor of a block of apartments, with a small and ancient (but working fine) lift. The 3 rooms are each en suite and there is a shared kitchen and dining room - good for self-catering. We had 2 rooms and someone else was in the third. The rooms were clean and in good condition, and we were welcomed and shown round by a very helpful young man. The location is a downtown street in Trastevere, easy walking or tram over the river from the main attractions of the city centre, with two supermarkets nearby and loads of restaurants (we tried a different one each of our 3 nights there and all were excellent - and better prices than across the river!).

Personale gentile e disposto a dare molte info, completa libertà per quanto riguarda coprifuoco ecc.. Cucina condivisa e quindi molto comoda, c’erano diverse cose da mangiare e si poteva cucinare ecc.. Davvero niente di negativo da dire, consigliato vivamente
- mhayward2015 (10/5): Perfect week - We had no problem following instructions to find the place in a bustling area well placed for buses and tram but close enough to walk to many sites. The flat was very clean with good bathroom and a very handy shared kitchen cum dining room. We felt very secure, the street was noisy at times with shops early start but the double glazing worked well. We were made welcome and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
- notallwhowandrrlost (8/5): Good stay but a few tips... - Overall, this place was great- very central, clean, towels and linens provided, very helpful staff- great directions given and answered all my questions quickly. The area is great- I never felt unsafe, it is close to the main train station and also the tram runs about one block away. The Trastevere area is great for night life, lots of people out and about eating and drinking at night- there is also a cool night market there. I actually found this on a hostel website and had assumed it was a larger place- as a solo traveller it turns out there was minimal opportunity to meet others- so if you are looking to meet new people while staying here that might not be likely. You are on your own here- if you have questions or need directions, etc. there is no staff on sight other than your initial check-in (but they are available by email/phone). Also, the air conditioning noted is not in individual rooms but rather the common area- there were fans at night in our rooms that we could use.
