- Joe (5/5): Lovely staff but not much sleep had. - staff very friendly, good price and great location. there was a blue blinking light on the rooms air-conditioning that I couldn't turn off. It made sleeping very difficult. also I have no idea what was going on upstairs but it sounded like they were moving furniture. extremely noisy, and this was all night, until 5am.

- Megan (8/5): Very good - We stayed at Xenia Hotel (next door) as Sultan Mansion was under repair. It was modern, clean and comfortable and close enough to the beach, transport and markets. Recommend Art Cafe for breakfast and meals.

- Jordan (6/5): Okay for the price - Main reason why I chose this apartment was because of its location and the location was perfect but not the cleanest area. Our stay was okay, the room was a lot smaller than we expected judging from the photos. Couldn’t get the tv working or the hairdryer working but other than that was okay. Not bad for the price.
- Magnús (9/5): Superb - Only one thing overshadowed our stay. We ordered a taxi through the hotel and the quoted price was 1000 TL. The driver made us pay 50 euros which is about 1742 TL and we informed the hotel about it. The hotel has already apologized and offered to refund.

- Kristine (3/5): horrible experience. extremely rude staff. - the location is OK since it's close to some of the popular attractions. however the nearest subway station is pretty far away and if you have a suitcase with you walking to the hotel is pretty inconvenient since the streets nearby are cobbled. the sliding glass door in the bathroom suddenly shattered on my face while I was about to take a shower. it cut my hands and legs and I was bleeding. we notified the manager but he went back to sleep since it was midnight. the receptionist tried to call the ambulance upon my request but they wouldn't come. after that I asked the receptionist to call the cleaning lady because the bathroom was full of shattered glass. he said she was unavailable. I asked if there was any other way to clean the room and he said no. I asked if there was another spare room available and he said no after which I asked how I was supposed to use the bathroom to which he replied it was not his problem. I was bleeding from my hands at that moment and he was very rude. the manager texted us the next day and told us that he went back to sleep after we texted him because "it was midnight and it was normal to sleep". we never got so much as an apology. the other receptionist even asked us if we payed for the broken glass. it was a horrible experience, the staff is incredibly rude and ignorant about how this is supposed to work. I would absolutely not recommend anyone to stay here. stay away!

Difficult to find reception, google maps and a physical sign puts you at entrance to the apartments but it’s not the reception, I stood knocking for 15 minutes until another person staying there answered and informed me the reception was on the other side of the building. The reception has no sign for Sultan Mansions instead it has another hotel sign. Very confusing and inconvenient when flying in late.
- Laura (7/5): Okay place for budget travellers - The location is nice, close to the mosques and restaurants. The bed is nice as well. On top there is a terrace, but it's a bit old. There is a small fridge in the room. We are very basic travellers, so we think this place is okay for the money, but then I mean the discount price!!! The first night we had to sleep in another hotel, strange?! We called the owner, when we arrived. There came a boy who had to tell us, but his English wasn't that great, so that was difficult. We had the economy room, price is fine for what we got. But... there is no cleaning (we stayed 4 nights). There was only 1 piece of toiletpaper, not enough! The kitchen is really old and broken, nothing to cook, but there were some samples for Coffee and tea in our room. How do you expect us to use them?! When we arrived the bathroom was not clean. There were still hairs on the ground and in the sink.

- Anastasia (4/5): Perfect location and cucarachas - Location near by some main Istanbul sights: Hagia Sophia mosque and Sultanhamet mosque (The Blue Mosque). The room was tidy and full of daylight because of panoramic windows. Some noise of seagulls and pray sounds we pluses for me too. 3 big cucarachas that I have faced in the bathroom after first walking day, it was difficult to me to get into my room at first - I informed the worker of the hotel about my coming after midnight and when I came I found nobody inside and no contacts. In the end I found message with address of the second hotel (Xenia Hotel Istanbul) and keys suddenly expected for me here.

The owner even arranged longer-term accommodation for me and took me all the way there (About an hour's drive) with my bags and all, saving me the trip by taxi. He is one of the most honest people I have met during my stay in Istanbul.
