• Claus (9/5): sehr gute Anlage um in schöner tropischen Umgebung zur Ruhe zu kommen - Ruhige und gepflegte Anlage, die auch über Solarstrom verfügt. Sehr viele chillige Ecken und Winkel, wo man in Ruhe die üppige Natur in Ruhe genießen kann. Guter Platz mit fairen Preisen um das tropische Ambiente genießen zu können. Weiterhin ist ein Gym eingerichtet, in dem man gut etwas Krafttraining, aber auch Yoga oder Gymnastik machen kann. Die Geräte und Ausstattung bedürfen jedoch mehr Pflege, Reparatur und Wartung, bzw. auch der Erneuerung und Ergänzung. Das Wifi hat hervorragend funktioniert. Die Zufahrt bestand (Regenzeit) aus einer Ansammlung von Tümpeln und Seen. Der Ort ist ca. 30 Gehminuten entfernt und es gibt keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der unmittelbaren Nähe.

• Virginia (9/5): Der Name ist Programm 😉 - Toller Ort, weit weg vom Schuss. Morgens kann man bei Ebbe über den Strand laufen. Viele Ausflugstouren starten direkt von der Lodge. Sehr schöne Anlage mit coolen Sprüchen an jeder Ecke. Sehr schön gelegener Pool. Genau das Richtige zum Abschalten.

• Leah (6/5): À little disapointed - Location and pool is the draw, the massage was great, and most of the staff were lovely. The gardens are pretty and shady. The boys behind the bar are certainly lacking in customer services. There is no ambience or vibe. The room was not what we booked, no oceon view, no communication prior to arriving on why our room was changed. Sunset cruise was a s**t show, unfortunately would not stay here again, there are too many nicer options in the area for the same price.

• Heil (8/5): Tolle Natur - Die Aussicht ist genial, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und alles ist sauber. Die Unterkunft passt sich gut in die Landschaft ein, weil viel natürliche Materialien benutzt wurden. Der Garten ist sehr schön und es gibt Affen, Galagos, Eidechsen, Geckos, Vögel und Fledermäuse. Das Essen ist authentisch. Die Dusche ließ sich kaum regulieren, manchmal war das Wasser einfach kalt und manchmal viel zu heiß. Das Frühstück ist leider sehr wenig abwechslungsreich. Manchmal gab es weder Weißwein noch Cider.

• Bénédicte (9/5): Un petit air de bout du monde - La Terre Promise, le lieux porte bien son nom. C'est un endroit hors du temps que nous avons adoré. Les employés sont adorables, la décoration faite de coquillages avec des fleurs partout est super, il y a pleins de transats, transats suspendus, hamacs où se poser pour lire un bon livre en écoutant un peu de reggae... les vacances pieds nus au bout du monde, quoi! Nous y avons passé 5 nuits et c'est un coup de coeur. L'absence de climatisation dans les chambres et les fenêtres sans carreaux mais avec moustiquaires... la première nuit est un peu dure et puis on s'y fait et on apprécie cette proximité avec la nature. Le lieu est un peu excentré, donc difficile de manger ailleurs, mais le restaurant et la carte sont très bien. Comme dans une grande partie de l'île la géographie est plate ce qui fait qu'on ne peut quasiment pas se baigner. En contrepartie le paysage à marée basse est superbe.

• Weller (10/5): Idyllic. - All the staff, are super welcoming, friendly and helpful. Felt really looked after and always greeted with a "Karibou" and a smile. Room was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable, with spectacular bed making everyday, with a highlight of flowers and towel sculptures. Lovely breakfast, choice of eggs and plenty of fresh fruit and hot drinks & juices. Good and varied choice of dishes on dinner menu, catering for all dietary requirements. The environment is like a beach resort, with easy access to the sea and a lovely swimming pool. There are lots of quirky and cosy places to sit, read, sunbathe. We had a fabulous stay and highly recommend a stay at Promised land for some R&R. But what makes this place stand out special is the people who run it and work there. A big thank you to each one of you. Nothing.

• Anna (10/5): - Promised Land in Kizimkazi is one of those places where you immediately feel relaxed. The location is beautiful, right by the ocean, with a very chilled and authentic Zanzibar vibe. The atmosphere is laid-back and social, with music, good energy, and often a mix of travelers from all over the world. The food and drinks are simple but good, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. you’re looking for a place that feels lively but still connected to nature and the sea, Promised Land is definitely worth visiting when you’re in Kizimkazi.
• Nina (9/5): Absolutely wonderful, relaxed and heavenly feeling, hope to come back for longer. - We loved the vibe, which is very relaxed and we loved all the animals in the resort, from dogs and cats to monkeys and other creatures. It felt like being on a secluded island where there is little else to do but relax and chill out. The rooms were also very spacious, well equipped and clean. There was nothing that we didn't like, but if you want tips for improvement, maybe the breakfast could have a bit wider options.

• Gérald (10/5): - Tellement bien !! Un avant goût du paradis. C'est tellement beau, propice à la détente, au lâcher prise. Nous avons adoré nos 4 jours dans ce lodge. Les chambres sont spacieuses ainsi que la salle de bain. Pas toujours d'eau chaude mais franchement ce n'est pas indispensable. On s'y sent bien, recentré sur soi. L'essentiel est là et la beauté du paysage et du lieu fais le reste. Je ne comprend pas les commentaires négatifs car ce lieu ne ment pas. Idéal Devoir en partir 😌

Salle de sport très pratique à disposition. Nous avons même eu le plaisir d’avoir la visite d’une famille de singes sur notre terrasse. La piscine est GÉNIALE Pas mal de coupure d’électricité. Les chambres ne sont pas bien isolées du fait que qu’elles soient séparées de l’extérieur que par des genre de moustiquaire (exemple bcp de vent dans la chambre la nuit)

• Annick (10/5): Allez y !! - L’hôtel correspondait au descriptif. Je recommande. Bon restaurant. Il faudrait revoir les ventilateurs qui ne sont pas efficaces. Il faisait vraiment très chaud dans la chambre. Un petit réfrigérateur serait également souhaitable.

• Cyril (7/5): - L’emplacement et l’infrastructure commune est top! La vue, l’accès à la mer, les différents endroits où se poser… Le temps s’arrête … le personnel est accueillant et sympathique! Nous avons eu une chambre hors d’âge, pas d’eau une journée, toilettes qui fonctionnent mal, pas de Clim (ça manque vraiment en cette saison mais c’était indiqué), des blattes , 1000 pattes et araignée dans la chambre…, pas de fenêtres (des moustiquaires ), la propreté générale, la qualité de la literie… De façon globale, tout est mis sur le cadre et pas dans les logements! L’eco tourisme, OUI, pourquoi pas! Mais pas à ce prix là! Quand on demande à ces clients la moitié du salaire moyen mensuel local pour une nuit, il faut au moins lui laisser la possibilité de se brosser les dents le matin… Avec une chambre juste correcte, ça aurait été un 10… PS: je ne met pas de photo afin de ne pas être trop critique.

• Tomasz (9/5): Rewelacja :) - Wróciłem tu żeby zmienić swoją opinie, po tym jak po pobycie w Promised Land Logde pojechaliśmy na kilka dni na północ do Kendwa i Nungwi - miejsca te nas potwornie rozczarowały. Ogólnie hotel ma nieziemski urok. Czuć prawdziwy klimat i atmosferę Zanzibaru. Sam obiekt ma bardzo dobrą lokalizację, przepiękny ogród i basen. Jest cisza i spokój. Domek był przestronny i miał duży taras. W restauracji było bardzo dobre jedzenie, a ceny przystępne. Absolutnie polecam ten obiekt :) Słabe ciśnienie wody, czasem brak ciepłej wody, basen mógłby być częściej czyszczony. Ale to są wszystko pomijalne sprawy w kontekście uroku hotelu.

Perfecto para ver el atardecer desde el mar. La atención del personal de recepción deja mucho que desear. Generalmente por la noche en diferentes momentos del día se iba la luz y tampoco teníamos agua.

• Al_Josh (10/5): Aufenthalt Promised Land Lodge Feb 2026 - Die Unterkunft liegt in einem Wald, ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet und folgt einem nachhaltigen Geschäftsprinzip. Die Unterkünfte sind sehr sauber und funktional. Sehr entspannte Atmosphäre, sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Das Restaurant bietet lokale Küche, aber auch Klassiker für Kinder (z.B. Pizza, Fisch und Chips) zu fairen Preisen (~10€). Frühstück ist inklusive und sehr gut (Frisches Obst, Eier, Toast, Pfannkuchen, Fruchtsaft, Müsli). Die Aussicht, vom Restaurant, Bar und den zahlreichen Sitz- und Liegeplätzen, ist herrlich. Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht ist hier richtig. Nichts wirklich negativ. Einige Punkte, die man wissen muss: - Die Unterkünfte ist auf die Felsküste gebaut. Es gibt also keinen echten Strand. - Bei Ebbe kann man an der Küste entlang zum Dorf laufen, braucht aber Badeschuhe. - Schwimmen nur bei Flut. - Keine Klimaanlage
• Plamen Panayotov (10/5): Good experience if you don't have high expectations. - The staff were very polite ,very helpful and they did a great job to make all the guests feel comfortable. It can be done more for the variety of the food. The drinks that were supposed to be served cold, not always were cold and ice cubes supposed to do the job Just beers don't really match ice cubes. High tides came to the edge of the premises and physically there weren't the white sand beaches. There is nothing interesting to see or experience in walking distance from the kodge.The road was under construction and takes a lot of time to get to and to get out of the lodge.

• Šárka (10/5): - Klidná lokalita a krásná příroda, bez velkých hotelů a rušných ulic. Skvělí relax s možností výletů na moře i ostrova Problém celého ostrova jsou časté výpadky elektřiny, ale hned naskočí generátory. Rádi se sem vrátíme.

• Nicolas (10/5): Un hôtel très sympathique avec du charme - Nous avons réellement adoré cet hôtel. L'ambiance y est calme. Pleins de petits recoins pour se reposer et admirer la vue. Sans qu'on nous prévienne, nous avons été surclassés dans une très jolie chambre décorée avec goût bien plus chère que celle réservée L'hôtel étant un peu excentré par rapport au village nous avons dîné sur place dans le restaurant qui est très correct. La piscine est sympa et très utile à marée haute. Un plus 4 ou 5 sièges colobes vivent dans le jardin.et s'amusent à certains moments de la journée en sautant d'arbres en arbres et sur les toits. Cette hotel à beaucoup de charme : je recommande à 100 % Pour chipoter..pas de clim dans les chambres mais des ventilateurs. Pas de frigo Des matelas un peu durs..

• Gézáné (7/5): - Kedves személyzet. Napi takarítás. A szomszédban szombatonként disco van, ezért elég nagy a hangzavar.. A fürdőszoba felszereltsége kicsit régi, felújításra szorul. Néha nincs áram, nincs víz, vagy nincs internet.
• Karen (7/5): - Location was stunning and sunsets magical, good music and great selection of chill out areas. Relax vibe, large pool, authentic breakfast. Staff always friendly and helpful. Great having breakfast, lunch and dinner available on site. Problematic electricity and wifi at times. Toilet flushing needs addressing and lighting in room quiet dull.

• chantal (10/5): - La décoration, l'atmosphère paisible, la beauté du site, le village de pêcheurs. Parfait. Mon bungalow à l'étage avec sa terrasse en bois avec vue sur la mer. Toutes les excursions peuvent être réalisées de l'hôtel. A recommander.
