• Sean (8/5): Good Budget Hotel - This is a budget hotel - make no mistake - but it is a good option to explore San Miguel de Allende. A short walk into the centre of town on a quiet street. Efficient, friendly check in. Super basic rooms in a very old style but a perfectly ok place to shower and rest your head for a night or two.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - I really don't know where to start! I ended up paying $187 dollars for my reservation which truly was way too much for this hotel! I understand this is a historic city and tourist flock to it, but $187 / night for a hotel that doesn't have its own parking lot (we had to park on the street, about 2 blocks down from the hotel), hotel has no reception area (you ring a bell when you get there and someone comes out of room 101 to help you), no breakfast, no railing protecting stairs to second floor, no amenities of any kind - to my it was too expensive and I wouldn't return to it. On the positive side, the check in was fast, the person checking me in was friendly, the room was clean and had 3 beds, it was a few blocks away from downtown - other than that, not much to say...

No tiene controles de Tv, las sabanas intocables, el piso sucio, no sale aguacaliente. Lo unico que pudimos hacer mis hijos y yo fue dormir vestidos y salirnos a las 8:00 AM. Deberian sacarlo de su pull de hoteles. Me estafaron

• Verified traveler (8/5): Comodidad - Realmente se oferta como habitación, sin embargo es una placentera sorpresa que al llegar al "cuarto" y abrir la puerta se encuentra con un agradable sala de estar, y que además cuenta con 2 sillones, un televisor e incluso un cocina para poder preparar sus alimentos. Sin duda un departamento a precio de cuarto.

• Verified traveler (8/5): sencillo pero gusto - muy amable el personal, el hotel esta muy austero pero muy limpio, no cuenta con estacionamiento, pero en general esta bien para el precio que pagamos, San Miguel de Allende es una ciudad hermosa, me faltaron dias para conocerlo mas y me quede con ganas de volver con mas dias disponibles para conocerlo, en general en toda la ciudad se batalla para estacionarte, de hecho me multaron y se llevaron mi placa del carro, pagamos una multa de $170 y recupere mi placa, lo que recomiendo es que busquen estacionamientos públicos, en general esta muy padre caminar por la ciudad, preciosa la arquitectura. El hotel es austero pero muy limpio, las camas cómodas y cuenta con lo básico para llegar a dormir y bañarte que es lo importante en una ciudad como San Miguel de Allende. Cerca del hotel no hay un lugar para comprar comida, así que recomiendo llevar al hotel lo necesario, tiene cocineta pero no frigobar, el personal me apoyo guardándome cosas en su refrigerador personal, en general quede muy conforme con lo que pague y lo que recibí.

• JC (6/5): Well located simple hotel - This hotel looks more like a hostel but it is well located. Very simple no frills I don't think it was worth the price I pad but then again San Miguel de Allende is very expensive nowadays
• Verified traveler (8/5): A Perfectly Adequate Room - I booked the hotel at the last minute, didn't even have time to read reviews, just looked at location and price. If you are familiar with your basic Mexican hotels, and are comfortable being in a Mexican part of town (within 5 minutes walk of the parrochia town square) then this hotel may be good for you. The room (301) was up stairs, and lacking even basic decor, but it was roomy with three beds in one room, a large kitchenette/seating area, and a basic bathroom with shower. The plumbing is typical puzzling Mexican plumbing, with the bathroom sink getting its hot water from a heater directly on the other side of the wall, while the shower's source of hot water is somewhere in a different part of the city, so it takes a little while for the water in the shower to get get. There is very little water pressure but plenty good to wash up with. Other than that, there were plenty of clean towels, the room was very quiet and suited my needs perfectly, needing only a bed to sleep in, a reading light, another bed to spread my clothes out on, and a bathroom with a shower. No complaints about it serving its purpose. The staff -- I met a man and a woman -- were friendly and helpful. No or very little English, but even with my horrible Spanish everything was fine. Of course, no room service -- this hotel is suitable as a base camp, it's not a resort location. So if all you're looking for a place to sleep and change clothes and shower, it may work for you.
• Shakti (10/5): - The staff at the hotel Animus were the best I have ever encountered. They were so attentive and kind that I could hardly believe it. Nothing was too much for them to do for you. My room was fairly large, without a phone or Kleenex. This was a disappointed however the staff more than than made up for what the hotel lacked. The place was very clean and right in the middle of Centro which was where I wanted to be and it was so very convenient. All in all I learned to love the hotel; and and would happily return to it again. Shakti Khan \
• Lola (8/5): - Es un hotel cómodo, aunque las habitaciones un poco frías, lo mantienen muy limpio y el personal es muy amable.
• Alfredo (10/5): Great deal!! - Location is excellent, close to downtown (restaurants, bars, churches) and not close to noisy places so you can rest and relax at night. Great pillows and blankets... but the mattress was not so good. Nice people at the front desk.

• juan (10/5): Worth the time and money - From the start the staff was great. She was friendly and let me check in early. She wasn’t strict by letting me check in at 3 pm. She had available room ready and didn’t give me a hard time. The hotel is a little old fashion but the room was clean. The shower worked well and I had hot water. I took long hot showers and didn’t have a problem. The WiFi worked well but it limited because I was streaming movies. The area felt really safe. The street were well paved so I wasn’t struggling with rocks under my feet. There plenty of shopping and eating areas near by. I felt I got more then my money worth. I was at other hotel on a hill and I hurt my feet and it was more expensive. So save your money and get this hotel.
