• Sabīne (10/5): Extra clean bungalow with beautiful garden and nice pool - This was the best accommodation we had in our 3 week trip in Thailand. Bungalows are very clean, everything is new and well maintained, good AC and fan that's both silent and effective. No open floors or walls, so no any kind of insects in the room. Good sound isolation and qualitative thick light blocking curtains. The bed was very comfortable, sheets extra clean. Fresh drinking water in the room every day, cleaning every day. Very good breakfast, lots of fresh fruit, good choice of drinks, freshly baked eggs according to anyone's taste. Clean pool and overall very good maintained area, a lot cleaner that anywhere else we seen before. We really enjoyed the beautiful garden with palm trees, birds, squirrels and even fireflies in the evenings. We also used laundry and shuttle bus service, as well as rented a scooter. Everything was great. Also - it is so quiet, but at the same time very close to the main street with massages, restaurants and shops. It's a lot closer than it shows on Google maps, don't let it fool you :) There is literally nothing not to like. We were surprised that the room lighting was so dark, that would be the only thing to improve.

Nous avons confié notre linge il etait impeccable, ce qui est pratique aussi c est la location des scooters sur place et le prix est raisonnable. Pour fini les propriétaires sont une extrême gentillesse. Nous recommandons vivement et allons revenir avec grand plaisir. Rien tout est impeccable.

И именно здесь я несколько раз её увидела! -

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal da und kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder👍Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker 😋 das Omelett bereitet die Chefin perfekt zu🙏ich liebte es 😍Der Bungalow , sowie der Frühstücksbereich sind perfekt sauber👌👍und das nicht nur in Thai Höhe. Zur Bungalow Anlage gehört vorne an der kleinen Straße eine sehr gemütliche Bar mit leckeren Cocktails und angenehmener Musik. Der Barkeeper ist der Hammer, er macht seine Späße, ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam👍Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit im Honghte 🙏🙏🙏Markus und Sabine 🙏 Der Kühlschrank im Zimmer ist für uns zu laut gewesen, ist jedoch nicht so schlimm, wir haben Ihn einfach über Nacht ausgeschaltet.

• Eva (10/5): Superschöne Unterkunft und liebevoll angelegter Palmengarten - Die Unterkunft ist insgesamt superschön angelegt, toller Pool, sehr herzliche Besitzer, gutes Frühstück und eine sehr gute Lage zum Zentrum und zum Strand. Für uns war es wirklich perfekt. Ausflüge zu den Similan Islands (war sehr schön)und Flughafentransfer haben wir zu fairen Preisen über die Besitzer gebucht. Der Strand in Khao Lak hat uns nicht angesprochen, coconut beach jedoch ist mit Taxi in 15 Minuten erreichbar und superschön. Insgesamt war uns Khao Lak zu "deutsch", jedoch guter Ausgangspunkt für tolle Strände und Ausflüge.

• chloe5002015 (10/5): Perfect stay - thank you - Beautiful bungalows in peaceful grounds with a good pool and plenty of sunloungers just a stone’s throw from all the restaurants, bars and market. Our bungalow was spotless and cleaned every day, it was huge and very comfortable with a flatscreen TV (not that we used it), nice balcony, air con and lovely modern bathroom. The owners were very friendly and always on hand if you needed anything. We rented a scooter for our stay at an excellent rate, and they arranged transfers to and from the airport/ferry at a great price. Good breakfast. Thanks for everything!

Tucked away a couple of minutes walk from the main strip it's a peaceful location with bungalow chalets around a nice swimming pool and gardens. The owners are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but just right for us. Given some of the extremely expensive corporate resorts around the area this place had charm, personality and local ownership. We could not have chosen better.

• Ricc123456 (10/5): Lovely hosts and there you find everything you ned for a relaxed stay in Khao Lak - The staff is super, super nice and helpful with everything. We arrived really late, which was no problem. They offer laundry service for a reasonable price, the breakfast provides everything for a good and health start into the day, even for vegetarians, the bungalows with both A/C and fan are clean and there is enough space. It is just a few minutes walk from the street with Restaurants, Souvenir Shops and Bars nearby. During the night it is quite. I enjoyed staying at this place and can totally recommend.

Rooms are spread apart so you have privacy The staff are incredible people, who go out of there way to give you a great experience. And the location is perfect. Right in the middle but quiet and peaceful! Would give this place a 11/10 if I could. My favourite place to stay in 8 months of travelling. Literally nothing. It’s perfect.

• Londoner51 (10/5): Wonderful welcome in a fantastic location - A small, family-run resort with very clean and comfortable bungalows set in a well-maintained garden. The owners were lovely and helpful throughout and we felt like we were their personal guests rather than just some tourists passing through. Fantastic location in a very quiet cul-de-sac, but literally only two minutes from the new food truck market and the centre with restaurants, cafes, bakeries and bars. The beach and night market are each less than 10 minutes away by foot. There's everything you might want at the Hongte (unless you are keen on the internationally owned, if impersonal luxury resorts). The breakfast buffet includes eggs cooked to order and baked treats (great banana pancakes!). There's also a pool which isn't huge, but large enough to swim lengths. Bonus: we organised our transfers with them at a very competitive rate and hired a scooter. Their vehicles and helmets are well maintained. Would highly recommend staying here.

Breakfast was not extremely varied but good (eggs made to order, a thai dish, yoghurt, fruit etc) Location is excellent-feels quiet and remote but is just around the corner from the main restaurant area (although i have to say Koh Lak was not for me. Too busy, catering for unadventurous holidaymakers rather than travellers) Unfortunately most of the bungalows face the pool so you have to close the curtains for any privcay. Mine fortunately faced the ugly wall of another bungalow :-) Also the grounds/pool area feels very bare. For that reason i personally would not recommend, but there were several return guests, so its a matter of priorities (I was suprised i prefered the room at Pratum) Would have liked a mosquito net/ fan so I was not forced to use AC at nigth.

• Jakub (8/5): Lovely owners, nice place, suitable for older guests. - Nice location, although it seems a bit secluded, it is close to the Bang Niang. Garden is well taken care of. A/C was not strong enough for the hot days. Even when I put it on max, it took some two hours to make the stay inside the cottage comfy.
• Riggall (10/5): Tranquil paradise - A lovely setting about 12 bungalows around a pool. The owners Oi and Phut were very friendly and helpful. They took care of my laundry and even have motorcycles for rent. The onsite bar at night is chilled and relaxing with very good priced drinks. Highly recommend this place.

• Silvert. (10/5): 10/10, lovely hosts! - Some of the most lovely hosts you will ever meet! The environment was very cozy with around 10 bungalows surrounding the pool. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. We also used their washing service (around 40 bht per kg if I remember correctly) and received the clothes back the next day smelling good and neatly pressed. -

The hosts are so warm and accommodating, the breadth of the breakfast blew me away for the size of the place, and as there is no swimable beach within walking distance the pool is clutch when humidity reaches 100% in the afternoon. The pictures don’t do the place justice- absolutely everything you need is anticipated and the facilities are spotless. I am so glad I chose to stay here!

It’s very quiet but only a 3 minute walk to the main drag, which is made of the usual bars and restaurants albeit less expensive than Phuket - for anything. I’d recommend on price, location and personal attention from the staff.

• robinjL894AV (10/5): Amazing place with wonderful owners - I must say that the couple that owns the place are super friendly and service minded. They offered a pick up at the Phuket airport which was cheaper then normal taxi. They looked after us the whole stay and where very helpful. We got the feeling of being part of a “big family” straight away. They have nice cottages that was far better than our expectations. Well equipped and well maintained. The cleaning was fantastic. Air conditioning worked very well. Close to restaurants and shops. But still very calm and quiet surrounding. Nice motorbikes available for rental. I can really recommend to stay here. We will definitely come back when we visit Khao Lak again.
• aaj888 (10/5): Lovely quiet accommodation with wonderful hosts. Fantastic value. - We loved everything about Hongte. The owners were extremely helpful and it was like a small oasis hidden away from the more active elements of Khaolak. The chalet was really nice and well equipped. The pool was lovely. My observations in terms of our stay are: 1. We went at the beginning of the low season (late May, early June) and this meant that there were very few people about, so we had the pool and the recliners pretty much to ourselves. Perfect from our perspective!!!!!! Also, the top restaurants from Tripadvisor for the Khaolak district were all easily accessible. 2. Try to book any trips you wish to do with the owners. We had a full day excursion to James Bond island which was 1500 baht per person through Hongte. On line, the same trip was 2,500 baht. 3. The weather was very kind. Mostly hot, humid and sunny. Some great lightening storms (mainly at night). Very little rain. We thoroughly recommend Hongte. Fabulous value for the money.
• TheGoldenLoaf (10/5): Quiet, Friendly, Beautiful and Clean - Lovely bungalows with modern accommodation only minutes from the beach. Nice staff. Lots of food around, nice night and afternoon markets nearby. Highly recommend. We enjoyed our peaceful time here a lot, and the pool was a great and refreshing option in the evening after you come back from dinner. Lots of beaches around, and I can’t say enough about how cheap and well maintained the hotel scooters are. You can have a scooter for a full 24 hours for a mere (roughly) six euros. We used them every day. Just be careful when you travel up the main road to Coconut Beach! (Best beach in our opinion- calmest waves and nicest sand.)
• R8609ERmarkt (10/5): Excellent - We stayed here for 6 days while visiting Khao Lak to go diving. The location is absolutely fantastic, being less than a 1 minute walk to the town, but squirrelled away off the main road to keep the accommodation peaceful and relaxing. The owners, Oi and Phot, were incredibly accommodating and sourced us bikes for our stay. I would genuinely revisit Khao Lak again purely to stay here. Cannot recommend enough
• ronsanSouthYorks (10/5): Wonderful peaceful relaxing vacation.....can't wait to return - From airport pick up to drop off we had a wonderful time Phot and Oi were perfect hosts. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty with attentive service. We stopped in bungalow No 8 which was perfect, overlooking the pool with a nice shady palm in front of the balcony. Phot and her assistant cleaned the room everyday and provided lovely crisp white bedding and towels. The bed was perfect – kingsize with a wonderful firm mattress. The grounds were kept clean and tidy and there are enough palms around if you want some shade. Phot and Oi are very hands on making sure things were alright and were always there if you needed anything. Hired a scooter to get around sightseeing a couple of days. Husband went away for 4 days diving, I felt at home and no problems even when I went out on my own. It is so quiet and peaceful you wouldn't know you were only about 5 mins walk away from shops bars. The pool area is lovely and there and a sun bed for everyone is a big plus. So glad we chose to stay here and will definitely return next year - looking at flights already. Big thank you to a lovely couple and the young lady who helps out. If you want somewhere peaceful and quiet to stay that’s not too far away from the main area of Bang Niang in a wonderful cozy and hospitable accommodation then this is the place.
• TILLYCANN (10/5): Restful and quiet - Stayed here before live aboard trip enjoyed it so much booked in for two nights on return, Great resort away from hustle and bustle of the main strip. Breakfast brilliant, Owner and staff exceptionally helpful. Rooms spotlessly clean and aircon is good,,we really enjoyed the pool and the quiet ambiance of the resort definitely worth staying here!!😎
• Claudia (8/5): - Niedliches kleines Resort. Nette Gastgeber. Der Pool könnte mal aufbereitet werden, das Licht im Bad sehr grell. Gerade durch die Glaswand zum Hauptraum in der Nacht sehr störend. Mehr Möglichkeiten zum Aufhängen wäre super. Ansonsten eine absolute Empfehlung!
• SpaManMiami (10/5): Great tucked-away little resort in the heart of Khao Lak - You really feel like you're in somebody's home at this resort--or more specifically, one of 9 cute little homes that surround the inviting and very-clean pool at this resort. You always felt taken care of by the owners/hosts, which is what I look for, compared to the large impersonal resorts that seem to proliferate in this area. Just a quick walk down the street and you're right in the middle of everything, and a few hundred meters to the west is the beach. This would be a great place for a group of several couples to have a reunion or celebrate a special occasion. Could not hear traffic sounds from this tucked-away property, but I could hear the beach... The owners, who are always working on their place, sprucing it up, have a little puppy and a cat that scamper around the property, adding to the homey feel. Phol (not sure if I'm spelling that right) did a pick up and drop off at the airport for a very reasonable price, plus took me on a day trip. I can't recommend this place enough if you want a chilled out personalized experience in Khao Lak.
• Tobias (10/5): Kleines Paradies in Khao Lak - Immer wieder gerne. Das kleine Resort hat insgesamt nur 9 Bungalows und ist damit ideal für alle Gäste, die es ruhig haben wollen. Unser Bungalow war schön sauber und auch ansonsten war alles sehr idyllisch. Die Besitzerin ist super herzlich und unaufdringlich und ist einem bei allen Wünschen behilflich. Sollten wir wieder nach Khao Lak kommen, würden wir wieder ins Hongte fahren!
• Chris318i (8/5): Nice bungalows and kind staff - During our trip to Khao Lak, my wife, little son and I stayed for three nights in the Hongte Khaolak Resort. In general the resort is nice and our bungalow was clean and comfortable. The free WiFi worked rather good (not always the case in hotels) and the staff was kindly and helpful. Furthermore the included breakfast was quite varied and also tasty. The location of the hotel is great. By renting a scooter the surrounding can easily be explored and also the beach of Khao Lak is in five minutes walking distance. Besides some restaurants in the close surrounding of the hotel also some shops and a might market are just a couple of minutes of walking away. However I want to mention that there was a double booking for our room and we had to stay in another hotel during the first night. All in all the staff handled the situation satisfactorily, nevertheless after hours of waiting for the room and ending up in another hotel is not really convenient and therefore I deduct one point. Nonetheless, the remaining three nights were great and we can totally recommend the Hongte Khaolak Resort.
