As customer care. - we stay in 5-star hotels all over the world. but this hotel… plays in a category of its own. it was the most comfortable, caring, pampering details satisfying hotel we’ve experienced so far. deeply impressed with the dinner & breakfast chef mastery. each day another menu. everything absolutely delicious. an explosion of exquisite flavors. the food is an experience by itself. the room is extraordinarily comfortable and well equipped the room onsen is just… the biggest delight. with all its setup, amenities and the outdoor bathroom design and details and the cherry on top of the cake - the customer service is beyond excellent. we had a dedicated staff member that made sure we were taken care of at all times. he genuinely went up and above to make us happy and always supported at all times. and all the rest of the staff was always supportive, friendly, ready to attend to all our desires. we couldn’t dream of more! not one thing we can think of

• Mariana (7/5): beautifully intimate stay with exceptional dining, though the service could be warmer and more relaxed - On a positive note, we truly appreciated that the hotel has a Michelin distinction — the food was absolutely outstanding. The room was beautiful and thoughtfully designed, and we really liked the fact that the property only has 20 rooms, which made the experience feel much more intimate and exclusive. I would like to share some feedback with the utmost respect, hoping it can help improve the experience for future guests. During our stay, we often felt rushed, which took away from the sense of relaxation we were hoping for in Hakone. For instance, we were asked about our check-out already the afternoon before, and on the day of departure, we were asked multiple times if we needed a taxi. This gave us the impression that we were being pushed to leave, rather than being allowed to enjoy our stay at a comfortable pace. Additionally, we were surprised that the restaurant did not offer any food service between 2:00 pm and 5:30 pm. We went out to look for open restaurants in the area, but everything was closed during that time. Considering that your hotel hosts guests from all over the world, it would be a great added value to have food service available throughout the day. Overall, while everything was proper and organized, we felt the service lacked warmth. We would have appreciated a more welcoming and relaxed approach, rather than a feeling of being in a hurry.

The serene surroundings and breathtaking views of Mount Fuji made for a perfect getaway outside Tokyo. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff and exquisite dining experience. The onsen is a must! Highly recommend to book a private section. The room and common & dinning area were beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone seeking relaxation and luxury!

The unexpected : lI had to call housekeeping twice to change the ground sheet on one of the beds, first time because my daughter identified mould, the second time to change it because of holes. Why would a sheet with holes get missed ? The dinner was to expectations but the breakfast was very sub-par. What annoyed me the most was the 2 pieces of French toast, not only were they too soft and guey in texture, but there was too much cooking butter on the plate. A ver sickly presentation.
• William (10/5): Incredible mountain side stay in Hakone with private onsen -- 10/10! - Every single staff member at Hiramatsu was very attentive, kind, professional, and wonderful. We had a fantastic two day stay and want to commend the staff particularly who made our stay so incredible. We stayed on the 3rd floor and were gifted with great views of Mt. Fuji on day two when the clouds cleared a bit. The in-room onsen was perfect and the outdoor private onsen was well-kept and clean. Would definitely stay agian. We didn't quite know that there was an option to have the western menu or the Japanese menu -- would have preferred the Japanese menu, but otherwise the food was still delicious and we have no complaints.

• Brandon (10/5): Amazing experience from check-in to check-out and I would love to come back many times in the future - From the beginning I was very impressed with the service. I was met well before the entrance by multiple staff members that helped me with my bags and then was treated to a welcome drink upon entering. We went over the schedule for the day and reservations for the private bath. I felt like everything was explained in great detail. Then I had a room tour explaining all of the amenities. The room was clean and gorgeous. Everything was in pristine condition. Then the meals. The food service at Hiramatsu was phenomenal. Excellent taste and presentation. They even added a special message for our anniversary which we were both delighted with. I Would 100% stay here again and recommend it to everyone I know. I can’t think of anything I would change. I had a great experience. Perhaps extending the private bath rental to 60 mins from the original 40 minutes, but I understand that would be difficult since we have to be fair to all of the other customers.

We were also very impressed by assistance received by Yiu and another staff member who had been there for over 20 years, cant recall his name. The food was superb! Different menus each night. The whole experience was so good, we decided to stay here for an extra night rather than heading back to Tokyo for one night before catching our flight back to the UK. The views of Mt Fuji from the hotel was stunning on good weather days and the hotel is very near the sites (rope car, cable car, boat trip etc.) Easy transport link just outside the hotel (local bus) however, very easy to use and regular etc.

Food was delicious , amenities like the hotspring tub in the bathroom, private hot spring areas,wide selection of alcohol/non alcoholic complimentary drinks in the room…. I can go on and on about the facilities available here . The staff will make you feel a king with their service and make sure you get their shiatsu massage. We stayed at many hotels in several countries but this is on of the best . Every penny spent is worth. Hoping to visit this place again in the future

Staff were welcoming and attentive to our needs especially dietary and mobility before and during our stay. Special thanks and recognition to Rina-San, Ishii-san sand Mr. Zhang for their excellent customer service. Spacious rooms even after adding an extra bed. Rooms are separated from the corridor by glass walls which increased the privacy. Can see top of Mount Fuji from our room. Dinner was western French/Italian fine dining cuisine. Very delicious. Lovely outdoor onsen for guests to use free of charge. Everything was perfect!

Our room is on 3rd floor deluxe twin room is big with private Onsen and good forest view. Love the peaceful and quiet environment! Location to proximity tourist spots are really challenging if you don”t rent a car. Returning to hotel will need Japanese to help to book a taxi via calling only. No taxi/Uber apps available for booking.

• GraceS855 (10/5): Close to Flawless - Staff members are well dressed with impeccable manners. The service is excellent, their anticipation of client needs is outstanding. I have sciatica and they brought a bath chair to my room within 15 minutes of check-in. When they realized the next day that it wasn't really what I needed, they immediately brought a small stool. Incredible, I never expected such caring service. The room is classy, with a wood / glass book-case. It is very clean. They provide pajamas and a warm shawl, just in case you wish to walk outside and feel cold. The couch is comfortable and besides a desk, they also provide seating for two at a separate table. My friend and I enjoyed room-service breakfast every morning - we stayed for 4 nights. The onsen and bath area is spacious with plenty of amenities. Beds are comfortable and pillows lean towards the soft side. Lighting is good. From my balcony, I can see the Koi pond with some beautiful. colorful fish. Very relaxing. Meals are well thought out with 3 different menu choices. The basic menu, a "medium" menu and the full menu. The basic menu is sufficient for our appetite, though we tried the full menu the last evening - it was delightful but a bit filling. Wine list not big but sufficient for a couple of nights' stay. This is a quiet space with a classic atmosphere. Therefore, anyone wishing for a move lively atmosphere might wish to consider another venue. However, if relaxation and good spa treatments are what you want, it is wonderful. My friend and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys good food with onsen baths, relaxation, a beautiful tree-lined garden and great service.

Staff were punctual, polite, impeccably dressed, with great attention to detail. Meals were excellent, portions were just right. Onsen bath in a very classy bath area. A flawless stay from our personal viewpoint.

One day a young waiting ran after me as I was walking to the bus stop to confirm my dinner menu. I am a chef’s nightmare with many food restrictions and they had to get it right.I told him I would be late for the bus and he actually walked me to the bus stop. The food was excellent and exquisitely set out. The room was spacious and the private Onsen overlooking the beautiful garden was the best. There is also an outdoor onsen that can be booked for private use. Hakone can be very crowded but here one felt “away from the madding crowd”as it is small and intimate. Every detail is taken care of and it is the perfect spot for relaxing and unwinding in a beautiful setting. I even managed to see the elusive Mount Fuji on two occasions when it was not covered by cloud. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to come again Nothing

• Tomoyuki (10/5): - 施設は素晴らしく、居室設備、アメニティ、リネン等々申し分なしです。またホテルスタッフの接客も素晴らしいものでした。唯一残念であったのがレストランスタッフのサービスレベルが必ずしも一級品ではなかった点です。 配膳スタッフの食材説明は声が小さく（マスク着用の為のありますが）内容は伝わりませんでした。またソムリエによるワインのお勧めもイマイチで、提供されるコース料理のそれぞれに対して、どのようなワインが何故適しているのか等々の説明もありませんでした。これだけのプライスレンジのホテルですのでレストランサービスについては一層の改善が必要であると感じます。食事自体はたいへん美味しく、またプレゼンテーションも素晴らしいものでした。
• Ning (10/5): Best Ryokan in Hakone - Hiramatsu has excellent breakfast and dinner. We cannot be more satisfied with the food. Always expect for the meal time. The 风吕 inside the room is lovely， and the view from the third floor watching out the Sengoku valley is stunning. Outside public-private bath is fabulous。 The staffs go far and beyond to make sure we are comfortable. We felt so pampered during the 2-day stay in the resort and hesitated to leave. Our carer 桥本 is so kind and patient, and she speaks Chinese so well that sometimes we forget she is Japanese LOL. Nothing to complain about. Almost is the best experience with a hotel.
• RYOSUKE (10/5): - 定年退職日に合わせてお世話になりました。接客、部屋、料理何をとっても素晴らしく、いい記念日になりました。流石料理は味もさることながら驚きもあり、またソムリエの方が色んなマッチングを提案頂き、窓から見える景色も面白くエンターテイメントとしても最高でした。部屋の温泉も外の景色も含めて良かったです。次回は以前ピエモンテで食べた白トリフをかけた細麺パスタの入ったプレミアムコースに挑戦します。

• Kenji (10/5): また泊まりたい - サービス、設備、素晴らしいが、中でもお風呂と食事が一番素晴らしい。お風呂は内風呂も広く快適に過ごせました。貸し切り露天風呂も良かった。食事は五感で愉しめ、次には何が出てくるのかワクワクしながら、美味しい食事を楽しむことができました。値段は張るけどそれに見合った価値があると思います。

• lorrainey819 (8/5): Lovely Rooms - This ultra-modern, Japanese resort has rooms which are decorated with abstract artworks, western-style antique and modern-European furniture, and nice marble soaking tubs (located near the terrace of the room) so guests may appreciate the view of forested mountains and Mt Fuji (stayed in 302). The complimentary mini-bar is stocked with an assorted selection of French and The Hiramatsu’s own brand of mineral water, plus some bottles of French fruit juice. Assorted teas and coffee are also provided. Upon arrival, we were greeted very cordially and presented with a variety of French fruit juices from which to choose while registering. The large, waiting lounge area is decorated with modern-art paintings and antique British furniture. Dinner was held on the first floor, facing a lovely lit terrace with torch-like lighting being reflected off a pool of water. The morning view of the same area during breakfast is of a beautiful forest on the other side of the water display. For dinner, very creative French/Italian dishes were served (7 courses). Please see the pictures. For breakfast, we were served fresh orange juice, a healthier-style of a creative Eggs Benedict, a tomato-based dumpling type of soup, a variety of freshly-made French bread and sweet rolls along with honey and fruit jams, a steamed green pea and basil-sauce savory custard, a small dish of rice gruel with vegetables, and a dish of fresh fruit with yogurt. One’s choice of coffee/tea followed. If you have any food allergies, please inform the staff in advance. Note that you should inform the staff in advance of how well-done you would like to have any meat dishes cooked since we had not been asked for our preferences. (a bit too raw for our tastes) If one needs to monitor salt content, please inform the staff in advance. I found some of the very creative and artistic/well-plated dishes to be a little salty for my own taste buds since I tend to cook with only a little salt at home. The beauty and health benefits of the in-room, marble-soaking bath was really appreciated. A separate shower was also located in the room. Please note that the tubs have 24-hour running water, so bring ear plugs if the sound of running water disturbs your sleeping pattern.

The rooms are exquisite, with adjoining hot bath room with a beautiful view. And the restaurant, well, one of the most spectacular of Japan, to say the least...
• DexperienceReview (10/5): Wonderful friendly service by Mr Arga - My husband and I were very impressed by the friendly and comforting service by Mr Arga during our stay. He really made us feel so welcomed and having a home away from home feeling. A very young and capable young man with a very night promising future ahead!
• vodoxus (10/5): Beautiful Ryokan , Top Level of service - Beautiful Quiet Ryokan in the Sengokuhara region. Their service level is top notch. Once you check in, they prep your room while they serve you a welcome drink, and show you the dinner for the night, checking for allergies/dislikes etc. The room is beautiful (3f suite) and the private onsen was wonderful. Beautiful facing, and the amenities are top notch. Even cypress shavings to enhance the onsen experience. The dinner's and breakfast's are amazing. Words can't begin to describe the experience. Would come again.
