• Abdur Rahim (6/5): Okay but needs upgrade to be better - On the main route, easier access to where I had to visit Bidet / toilet shower in my washroom was broken. Washroom door was worn out and could do with replacement Place was clean but feel like it needs an upgrade as price doesn’t match the current room conditions

Air condition is good. الافطار كان سئ جدًا جدًا نزلت الساعة 10 انا وصاحبتي نفطر.. جات تجرب مكنة القهوة لقيت القهوة لونها فاتح جدًا كانها ماية.. جيت احط لبن في الكباية لقيته فاتح جدًا.. قولت للشاب اللي واقف قالي انه المكنة دي بايظة اروح للمكنة التانية.. جيت اروح لقيت المكنة متشال منها الفيشة.. رجعتله لقيت بنوتة من العاملات بتعملي اللبن بنفسها.. تحط الكباية تنزل جزء لبن واول ما تبدأ تنزل ماية تشيلها وهكذا.. طبعا انا اتقرفت جدًا من المنظر ومشيت وروحت اكلم الريسيبشن وطلبت جزء refund من المبلغ لكنهم قالولي ده اوبشن غير متاح ولكن مدير المطعم هيكلمني.. المدير كلمني وقالي انه الماكينات بتتصلح من خلال نستلة فده مش من عندهم.. قولتله صح بس لما يكون عندي ماكينتين وواحدة مقفولة والتانية بتنزل ماية يبقى في غلط في ال operation وهو فعلًا أكدلي ده.. سألني عن باقي الاكل قولتله انا مجربتش بصراحة لان انا اتقرفت من المنظر.. قالي حضرتك تحبي ايه قولتله refund لجزء من المبلغ لاني مستفدتش بخدمة الافطار.. قالي ده مش تبعي ده تبع ال reception هتواصل معاهم وطبعًا محدش تواصل معاهم ومخدتش أي refund.

• Alankar (1/5): سيئة جدا لا اتمناها لعدو - وصلت مبكر الساعة 5 فجرا لم يكن هناك غرفة متاحة وعندما اتيحت الغرفة ورفضت دفع يوم كامل اضافي استقبلوني ساعتين مبكر مجانا. وكانت هذه اللفتة الوحيدة الجيدة في كل زيارتي. 1- الغرفة غير نظيفة، الفراش غير نظيف، وثاني يوم عندما طلبت من الموظفة تنظيف كوب استخدمته مسبقا قامت بشطفه سريعا بالحمام!! 2-لم يعجبني الافطار الطعام لا يؤكل والخبز جاف جدا وبعض الاصناف موجوده منذ اليوم السابق. 3- عندما طلبت من موظفات الرسبشن تغيير غرفتي باول يوم عندما وجدتها قذرة، قالو لي ان انتظر وبعد مرور اكثر من 3 ساعات سألت خدمة الغرف وقالت سنظفها على الفور، وبعدها بنصف ساعة أتى رجل غريب المظهر غير معروف الوظيفة ولا يرتدي زي رسمي وقال لي الغرفة محجوزة وغير مسموح لي بالانتقال. 4- ممنوع توصيل الدلفري الى الغرفة ولكن عندما طلبت ذلك من موظف الريسبشن بسبب تعبي وعدم قدرتي على النزول وافق الموظف، وعندما وصل الكابتن لم يقبل موظف الامن دخول الرجل وعندما اعترضت ارسلوه مع الموظف اخدت الطعام وحاسبت واغلقت الباب بعدها سمعت الموظف بالصراخ والسباب وعندما فتحت الباب سألت ماذا هناك قال لي ( اذهبي الي بلادك) وقام بسبي وشتمي والبصاق علي مما جعلني خائفة جدا فاغلقت الباب وحاولت الاتصال بالمدير وبالشرطه السياحية. I had a very disappointing experience during my stay. The room and bed linens were not clean, and basic hygiene standards were not met. Additionally, the breakfast quality was poor, with dry bread and items that did not appear fresh. When I requested a room change on the first day due to cleanliness issues, I was asked to wait for several hours without a clear resolution. Later, an unidentified individual, not in uniform, informed me that I could not change rooms, which was concerning. Furthermore, although I was initially permitted by reception to receive a food delivery due to feeling unwell, the situation was mishandled by security staff. The incident escalated to verbal abuse, including discriminatory remarks, which made me feel unsafe. I was forced to contact the management and consider reporting the matter to the tourist police. Overall, the service was unacceptable, and I did not feel safe or respected during my stay.

• Mattia (7/5): - Located not far from the airport, the hotel presents itself well, having been renovated some years ago. Everything works properly; the only drawback is that the rooms can be a bit noisy, as the building is close to a major traffic artery. However, with the windows closed, we slept well nonetheless. The staff did not meet expectations, especially in the rather confused organization of a taxi to the airport the following morning.

• MININIM (7/5): HOTEL ROYAL MARSHAL - HMM - The price was moderate. I was able to get complimentary breakfast delivered to my room. The swimming pool did not look safe: no information on depth, the ladder was shaky and there was no life guard. The toilet did not flush properly and the electricity became faulty on the last night so I could not charge my phone.

• lemon (5/5): - The breakfast staff, Bellboy and room cleaning staff was really friendly. Although you cannot drink the tap water, they do provide you with water for your room. Bedding and pillows comfortable. If you cannot speak Arabic, its difficult to communicate with the people at reception. As their English is quite poor. There is some additional fee that gets charged once you confirm the booking - not sure if its a local tax or what but it increased the price per night considerably. The accomodation is poor value for money. The pool area is closed, which is the main reason why I booked it. They do not change the bed sheets daily. The hairdryer does not work in the bathroom. The bathroom doesn't have the option to change to shower, only hand held tap. The breakfast selection is really poor for the price, nothing like the pictures. They did not replace toilet paper the 2nd day, ran out of toilet paper and when I asked for toilet paper they brought me tissues. They did not tell me where the breakfast area was when I checked in, when I went downstairs to the restaurant area the first day, Noone mentioned anything about the breakfast being on the first floor, when I asked for a coffee and said it's on my room. They happily took my room number. I waited for breakfast menu but then ran out of time and left, but when I wanted to check out she told me that I have to pay for the coffee on the ground floor. I would think coffee would be included in breakfast. But nevertheless, she explained it was 2 separate areas. I do however think, they could have told me that when I checked in. TV only has 2 English channels 1 movie and 1 news. If you bring USA $ make sure there are absolutely no marks or scratches on your notes. I tried to book extra night but they refused it because of a tear of 1mm in a $50 note.

• Mirbie (10/5): - The Royal Marshall has been a massive surprise and for the price eating in just like going out, which I did. The staff were always polite and helpful during our stay, plus if you need anything late at night, like we did as no luggage, rang around and got us up and running. Is situated in a good central point for our trips and after our week here can only highly recommend Also has great WiFi, can a bit congested in the rooms in the evenings but I found normal at most hotels I’ve stayed Thank you all and we will be back ❤️

My wife and I slept on 2 different beds which is fine but not what I requested and paid for. Difficulty finding my reservation. Staff not that helpful in some cases. I would not stay there again.

Although breakfast was included, when we went to the dining area there was virtually scraps!!! Understand it was their fasting/Ramadan, but the guests expect a level of service and quality that was clearly lacking. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

However, I had long wait at the hotel before my taxi to the airport, and I found the reception and restaurant area full of interesting folk, great staff and a well cooked lunch.

I understand that it's Egypt, and it's still a development country where technology is all up date. Both Elevators were small and slow, the pool on the 13th floor wasn't appealing & one of those pool day the water was half way down for maintenance. MY room was disappointing compared to my other 3 friends. Luckily they kept us all on the 10th floor. When i walked in, my room smelled a little off. My wall AC unit looked dirty & my btlathroom was a little tight conpared to my other 3 friends.

• Robert (8/5): - Nice place if you just need the basics (A/C, clean bed, hot shower, cold water & fresh coffee). Staff is friendly and helpful. Like all of Cairo for the most part, it’s not in an area that’s enjoyable to explore as a tourist, but works well for a base to get to the pyramids and other attractions.

Noisy because of traffic since early hours, do not recommend it for long stays. Nice curtains blocking the sun light in the morning. Breakfast included, hot meals are available too.

• Passport92728 (4/5): Royal Marshal Hotel - We were visiting Cairo for a family wedding/sightseeing and used this hotel as a base for 8 nights. The room was comfortable enough and breakfast was good. Only 1 bath and 1 hand towels were provided for two people. Despite asking on numerous occasions for additional towels there appeared to be no communication between reception and housekeeping. We experienced one day without any water and another without hot water. When we complained to the manager upon checking out, head of housekeeping was called and spoke to us rudely. The manager said the hotel would give us a small refund for our inconvenience but we were charged the full amount when the currency was converted. This hotel would probably be okay if you were staying 1-2 nights. Please be aware don’t use the taxi recommended by the hotel as on the wedding day the taxi driver took us the wrong way and we had to direct him with google maps.
• POLYVIOS (8/5): Good Hotel for business - It was a practical stay because it was near the area I was doing my business. Overall it was comfortable stay and the employees were very helpful.
• Patrick (10/5): Enjoyable stay. - Nice affordable clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was tasty and filling. As with most of Egypt, wifi in room was poor. But wifi in lobby was reliable and efficient. Taxi drivers know how to find the hotel, which is a major plus. No great frills but nothing negative either for the great price.
