Guest Reviews
- David (8/5): - Parking ramp was tight
- Cristina (9/5): Affordable and exceptional - It’s very close to everything - beach, shops , restaurants and public transport like buses. Plus the rooftop swimming pool is amazing. The view at night is stunning. My room was close to the car park so it’s a bit noisy in the morning, but it was not too bad.

- Sarah (9/5): Great place to stay in Honolulu - Great location, parking, comfy clean rooms with a view. 👍🏽 The hallway carpeting needs replacing
- Lucia (8/5): Ok but read the comments - The location is great, close to the beach and shopping possibilities. Great view from the top floors. Very loud at night even if you are on higher floors. One part of the balcony wall was basically open bc of the air conditioning and you could hear the cars, people talking too loud etc, I was surprised how annoying this can be. Sometimes waiting for the lift was up to 5 minutes so we had to count with that in our planning.
- Ron (8/5): Royal Hawaiian changing beds out. Maybe get some good beds cheap.. - Close to beach with views Noisy and bed was like a rock
- Corinna (7/5): - Die Strandnah u. Stadtnähe. Der grosse Balkon mit teilweise Meerblick. Der Teppichboden. Der Lärmpägel der Stadt im 19. Stock
- Chad (5/5): It was okay but you need to rentovate rooms. - Close to beach and balcony Rooms were disgusting, smelly. Next to upgrade to the modern era
- Nina (10/5): Fantastic location, spacious room with nice views, spectacular pool - great value for money. - The room was very spacious and had a nice view of the ocean. Although we only had one overnight stay in transit, we still enjoyed both walking to the beach and the scenic pool on the rooftop. The late (noon) checkout was a bonus too. Nothing.
- Mike (7/5): -
- Cynthia (8/5): Great location for Waikiki. - Close to beach, restaurants and shopping. Pretty view of Waikiki beach/ocean. Pool and recreation area at the top really nice! Front desk very accommodating. A/C right next to bed blowing on that side all night. Noisy garbage trucks in early am. Needs a new couch.
- Eric (8/5): Great location. Couple blocks from the beach & shopping. - Location Somewhat dated
- Bryan (9/5): Great home away from home - Location Small water leak, fittings a bit dated
- Minh (10/5): Great, would stay again - Location, amenities No broom to clean up sand
- Louise (7/5): Great location, need to improve lifts - Great location, walking distance to shops and very close to beach.
Room had everything you would need for a stay, basic and a little on the older side but very enjoyable place. Many reviews have already mentioned the lift access really brings down our experience. Only one working lift for the whole hotel which is very slow and always full of people. We almost missed our Uber because it took more than 15 mins for us to be able to get an empty enough lift for us and our bags on check out.
- Samantha (10/5): This was way more than expected. It’s a better value esp if you have a family versus paying costly hotels - Convenient NA

- William (8/5): - Self contained unit very handy Sadly there there is food van restuarant next door and they have noisy generator which runs Noon till late , nothing the hotel can do about I guess . I would still stay but you have to keep the windows closed
- Tobias (10/5): -
- Chelsey (3/5): - I DIDNT HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE MY ROOF WAS LEAKING AND WINDOWS WERE LEAKING WATER ON THE INSIDE... NEVER GOT RECOMPED FOR THIS.. BEEN IGNORED
- Elisabeth (10/5): - Awesome start!! Loved the central location in Waikiki. The room had views to the ocean & could see the surfers. The free hula show under the Banyan tree was 1 block away, lots of great restaurants nearby too even under the building & a ABC store. Loved using the hottub & pool on the rooftop. Parking just $35 in the building.
- Kalina (7/5): Good location, but depreciated building - The room was nice and spacious, the location is good - close to the sea and the main street. In very close distance you can find shops and food. The bed was very comfortable.
The personel was polite at the reception. The windows were not well isolated, one of them was impossible to close and it was very, very noisy in the evening and night. The air conditioner was not working well and in the mornings it was quite hot (there was a fan on the ceiling to compensate). In the bath was hard to control the temperature of the water. Nobody cleaned the room for 3 days.
- Wendy (7/5): - Location The elevator wait time
- Aleksandra (9/5): - I love the view and my place and the size of the bed. It was one of those places, where I could easily leave for a few weeks and wouldn't be tired. Friendly staff and a wonderful view.
- S R (9/5): Overall a nice stay - Very near the beach. Kitchen facilities. Beautiful view from my partial view room was great. Bathroom can be updated.. The tap in the bathtub was too difficult to open and close. No free parking.
- Jeffrey (9/5): - I love this hotel it's always amazing and beautiful
- JOSE MARIA (7/5): Correcto y bien ubicado.
- Yury (9/5): -

- Daydream01854248146 (10/5): Great location and price in Hawaii. Highly recommend - Great views from the roof top and a large room and huge comfy bed. I arrived early but I was provided a key and towel to enjoy the amazing pool, spa and sauna while I waited. Couldn’t fault it - will definitely stay again
- Gal (7/5): - The location and room size. The toilet is not working well and we had to plumber it. Also the shower is super old
- Antonellia (9/5): -
- Sophia (10/5): Great hotel for a great price! - It was in a great location! Food establishments right next to the hotel, beach was 2 minutes walking distance and the staff was great. A bit outdated but the views were great.
- Serina (10/5): Enjoyable - Location and views to ocean N/A
- Aya (5/5): Good - All good except bad points below Mosquitoes and Cockroach came out on the bed in the bedroom but no sorry from hotel staff.
I would say Lower floor is not good

- NorthStar598869 (10/5): City - I stayed in city view rooms on the 11th and 6th floors. The rooms, bathrooms, and balconies are of different sizes. Both rooms were clean and comfortable.
- Charles (10/5): Awesome location, friendly staff, and great views of the beach during the day and the city at night. - The facility is in a prime location: A person can walk to the beach, premier malls, great bars and to some great food very, very quickly. The rooms are clean and I had a great view during my stay. Thank you Pacific Monarch Hotel!
No pudimos hacer late check out.
- chinl2021 (10/5): The spot is amazing. - Amazing view, staff is kind, just next to the Leahi, blue ocean, gras, shore fyre, basalt, behind the wyatt 🌴 paka store, honolulu cookies, mgbbq...

- christinejO5764KW (8/5): Great stay - Handy for beach and restaurants, a great base. This was an awesome location for us as could walk everywhere and didn’t need a car. The room was clean and had everything we needed including kitchen. The pool and spa were fantastic, and also had a bbq you could use. The only down sides were traffic noise which you would expect with that location, and noisy aircon. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

- JEAN MICHEL PASCAL (9/5): -
- Garcia (7/5): Good for the price, friendly staff, would recommend for a low travel budget - Property was clean just a bit outdated Ac units were not located in the room, elevators were a bit slow, parking structure next to the hotel was VERY tight
- Brian (7/5): -
- Janee (8/5): -
- Mike (8/5): Definitely value for money and would stay again - So close to everything. Location was brilliant and a great pool and spa Lots of road noise and really loud air con
- Chelsea (6/5): -
- Anton (8/5): Overall, a positive experience. It is worth the money. - Convenient location close to the beach. Magnificent ocean view from the balcony. The size of the room was a pleasant surprise, It was very spacious. It looks like the room hasn't seen any repairs in a long time.
- Andrea (9/5): - Közel a parthoz, tökéletes kilátás az óceánra. Kényelmes nagy szoba konyhával, nappaliban felszerelve, hatalmas terasz.
- Andrea (9/5): - Közel a parthoz, nagy, kényelmes szoba, kávé lehetőség.
- Amber (9/5): -
- Talavs (10/5): -
- Lionel (7/5): - The only issue is the elevator. They keep breaking so it's a nightmare.
- HilP (7/5): Great location, good price - Sofa, kitchen and dining area in the room. Rooftop pool, close to shops restaurants and beach Not enough sunbeds, TV was difficult to find channels and guide.
Would be useful to have more info in the hotel
- Pamela (10/5): Fantastic rooftop views! - Rooftop views with pool, spa and othe recreational facilities. Wonderful game, gathering room. Loved the full wall sliding glass doors. Great bed arrangement.
- Monica (7/5): Great location. Livable but beware of not being super clean. - The location was great for what we wanted to do while in town. The room smelled of food when we entered. While it had been tidied, there are clear maintenance issues that need to be addressed. Lots of water damage in the bathroom. Dirty base boards. The room needs painted at the minimum but definitely a much deeper clean than they have done. The few times we interacted with staff they were very mediocre in their customer service. We loved the location and were honestly only there to sleep so it worked for us.
- OnTheRoad1919 (10/5): Great Value Option in Waikiki! - Overall our experience at Pacific Monarch was great! The hotel location is excellent being only 1 block from Waikiki Beach and 2 blocks from the International Market. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities including fridge, toaster, coffee maker, stove top, hair dryer, tv, internet, kitchen sink, all cooking and eating utensils, couch and safe. Our room had a partial ocean view and balcony which was nice to look out on. The hotel has a $30 per day resort fee which includes access to the pool and hot tub, BBQ, cold lemon water in the lobby, beach chairs and beach towels (available at front desk). This was included in our booking fee. There are also many shops and restaurants all within a block of the hotel. Parking is also available in the building for a fee.
If you are picky, yes there are things that could be improved such as some minor updates to the rooms but nothing that hindered our stay at all.
I would stay again on my next trip to Honolulu.

- Asako (10/5): -
- Laurence (9/5): A satisfied customer - Convenience at a decent price stay there once before great guess services employee at front desk and overall always nice and welcoming always remember returning guess and making us feel really great I would only say that bedroom need Ac and tv and pullout sofa should be renew in some room last year my room was a little more upgraded than the one we stay in this year but overall great hotel to stay at and friendly employee
- CARMEN MELINA (6/5): Ok for location, convenient for surf - Location The rooms are not very clean, I mean the curtains were disgustingly dirty. Also quite noisy, not well isolated
- Leah (9/5): -
- Reyn (10/5): -
- Jeffrey (9/5): - The staff were absolutely wonderful. I also enjoyed the convenient location, which allowed me to do a lot of things without traveling far.
- kondo (7/5): -
- Nataliia (7/5): -
- Marilin (10/5): Clean, great location, quiet & comfortable! - Location, friendly helpful staff, comfortable beds, quiet. NA
- Nelly (7/5): -
- Cindy (9/5): Much better than expected in price category. - Location near beach, popular foodie places, bus stops and Target.
Corner unit had amazing views. Don’t realize their was full kitchen when booking and has essentials for preparing simple meals. There was a tile repair in progress on balcony and the carpet was still wet from cleaning so there was mildew odor.
- Parag (4/5): Location was good but didn’t like parking - Location Parking, Location is tricky to enter into parking, Old rooms
- Yuki (10/5): -
- Susan (8/5): I enjoyed my stay it’s an older hotel, good value for being so close to Waikīkī beach. If went again would consider stay - The room size was good, bathroom could use a update but was fine. Small shower, not a fan of the bed being right under the air conditioner so I either turned it off or turned it up so it didn’t blow cold air on me. The elevator was very slow but they are working on them and there were only 2 in service. No dish rags or paper towel in the room to clean up counters or table. I had to go downstairs to ask. Coffee maker didn’t work for the first day but finally got it replaced. Made service came every 3 days so had to go to front desk to get more towels and shower gel wash.
- Anelito (10/5): Awesome and excellent service. - The facilities and the over looking view. Nothing..
- gerig76 (7/5): - Good located, close to Waikiki beach and to the shopping district. Outstanding view from the balcony, very bright living room, windows all around. A few of hidden fees such as parking and towel. The crew could have been more polite. Noisy street traffic, unable to sleep with open windows. AC was ineffective. Small parking lot front of the hotel. Smelly sofa. Not enough elevator in the building, only 2 out of 3 were operative.
- Byron (9/5): Very pleasantly surprised. We will definitely return. - The location is amazing, just a couple blocks from Waikiki Beach. Lots of nearby restaurants, coffee shops, etc. We could see the ocean and mountains from our balcony. Good kitchen space, I think it is a converted apartment. The guy at reception was a bit distracted both when we checked it and when we checked out. He was quite busy, but he could have paid a little attention to us. I didn't care to pay the "resort fee" or whatever for a bunch of stuff we didn't use.
- doitagaint (8/5): Pacific Monarch gets two thumbs meh - A great value hotel ideally located for quick access to beach. Has full kitchen making it ideal for those wanting a more homey feel and has a closed bedroom option. Hotel rooms could use some immediate attention to like their fold out couches and furniture in general. Not all rooms are the same and it really does matter imo. There is no standard and small things like appropriate lighting can make the trip unpleasant. Some rooms won't have a bathtub option which could make it troublesome for little ones. Overall it's a hit or miss to be fair.
- prestoza (10/5): -
- Annika (8/5): I would book this again ! - We had the larger rooms with a sofa bed and kitchenette - the room on the 27th floor had older decors and the one on the 26th floor was much more modern and updated - but both were spacious and comfortable and have great views. The location is fabulous and front desk staff are super helpful and friendly. This is a great value place for being in the heart of Waikiki There is no gym and the top floor with the pool seems dated. One elevator was not available and it would be nice if the room on the 27th floor would be updated.
