Guest Reviews
- Jurrien (10/5): Great place for a weekend stay over and restaurant provides a good setting, we love the place - love it all
- Marianne (8/5): - Vi var de eneste gæster så her var meget stille. Lækker restaurant. Der manglede et natbord ved den ene seng og ingen læselamper. For meget lys til at stjernehimmel var flot
- KSENIIA (10/5): - This is the perfect place to relax. I absolutely love everything here: the service, the view, the room, the delicious food, the atmosphere.
- Lena (10/5): - Понравилось ВСЕ!!
- ขวัญตา (8/5): -
- Frederik (9/5): - De rust, het eten, omgeving, personeel, kamer. Het bespuiten van de druivenranken lijkt mij niet goed voor de gezondheid van de gasten
- KSENIIA (10/5): - This is my favorite place in Khao Yai. Amazing beautiful location, incredible atmosphere, cozy rooms and the most customer-oriented staff! And of course delicious wine)
- Tanya (9/5): - Great food, except the vanilla ice cream was more like sherbet better room slippers
- Bruno (2/5): Disappointing - The sparkling wine served and the egg quality was good.
Unfortunately even we were the only 2 guest, we still need to stand up and go inside looking for staff for refil also a glass of water, and none around but all staff inside the kitchen having their meetings..
None speak English and we have to use the phone to translate. if i spent over 7,000 THB (220 USD) for 2 nights and there is no cleaning of the room the day after, is disappointing!
We had first day breakfast and we use the phone to translate with service staff at restaurant, asking if we need to inform someone that we are out of room and go cleaning, staff said, ok no proble.
Back at 10 pm to room, the surprise! Room wasn’t clean, no bath towel changed, no bed sheet changed, no cleaning floor, no water replaces and the whole floor full of dead mosquito from the night before!!
We called the number they gave us and inform about this, the only answer we got was : oh my god” and that’s it! They send someone to give us 4 bottle of water and that’s it!
Day after for breakfast none even dare to come and try to fix the problem! Zero, even when we checked out we told again the problem, but the person doesn’t speak any English! So we left and this was the experience in this place!
Let’s not talk about the food in their western restaurant, very disappointing, if you want advertise western food also in western platform, please ensure to have western trained chef at least.
Dispoointing experience, there are plenty of choice around the area and even less isolated.
Don’t get the suggestion of the renting scooter or car from them, at nearby shop, because you will end up with extra charge as surprise for the “cleaning of the car” this is what they said.. is been raining for 2 days, the car for wet and dusty, and the rental, charged us extra cost for cleaning! First time in 3 years in Thailand happen this.
- Claus (9/5): Superb -
- Hagerty (8/5): Comfortable. - The breakfast was very nice with a wide selection to choose from. The service at the restaurant for dinner didn't come to take our order or pour our wine. I had to get up and grab our bottle and pour and then had to walk over and ask someone to come and take our order.
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Samsara (6/5): You pay for the location, room and facilities are 3 star - The view on the vines and hills. Good quality restaurant. A part from the view, the room and the facilities are no five star. Book directly and for the same price the tour and wine tasting are included (1500 THB for 2). No pool for this price. Bikes size is for kids. Breakfast was served cold (you are forced to order breakfast and indicate time the day before...).
- Dmitry (9/5): Superb -
- Catherine (10/5): Excellent award-winning vineyard, world class views! - Everything! Excellent staff, amazing vineyard and wine tour, delicious food, and clean rooms with nice toiletries from Pañpuri! None
- Celine.rc (10/5): Exceptional - We visited in early January. Very cooling. Very nice. You always need a buggy to bring you to the cottage / reception or restaurant. Calling for a buggy means you need to text them on Line app.
- Naruchol (8/5): Good location, beautiful views, and refreshing weather - The location and view are very nice, easy to access, and the weather is refreshing. The staff are very helpful and provide excellent service The check-out time is too early at 11:00 AM compared to other hotels
- Francisco (8/5): Calm and relax. Fantastic stay - Fantastic views of the wineyard, super friendly staff, clean rooms, good water pressure, comfortable beds, quiet place. Nothing, but restaurant could improve a bit, bit this review is about the hotel, so… nothing wrong
- Jemma (7/5): Nice stay but not good value for money - The wine cottage is very clean, comfortable and modern. The setting is lovely overlooking the vineyard and mountains. It’s very quiet here, good for a peaceful escape. The cottage is a short walk from the main buildings but there is a shuttle you can order if you don’t want to walk. There are also bicycles you can use for free. Breakfast was great. The stay was not good value for money. The wine tour was 100 baht per person more than advertised and then they add tax. The dinner was average and expensive (also shown without tax and then they add a mandatory 10% service charge). The wine itself was also very expensive and does not match up to the quality of imported wines in the same price bracket. This would have been a great stay at a lower price point but they are charging too much for what this is.
- Jurrien (9/5): great experience - amazing place for a winery in Thailand. Great staff, nice location, overall great experience for a 1-2 nights stay wine not too bad for topical growing :-)
- Saowaluck (8/5): Good food, Great wine, loving the quiet setting of the resident and the nature. Totally recommended! -
- Hwee (8/5): Overall a good stay - Food is good. Environment is good. Clean and peaceful. Bathroom a little too small.
- Hans (10/5): Exceptional -
- Henry (8/5): Very good -
- Ronald (8/5): See above - The serene atmosphere looking at the vine yards and the mountains on the back ground . The guided tour of the wine making facilities was very informative. The quality of the restaurant was exceptional , wide choice of meals prepared to perfection and accompanied by a great choice of wines. The staff is to be complimented , exceptional caring service Nothing worthwhile mentioning
- Tom (10/5): Highly recommended - Great location with unusual plants and flowers, near local market and National Park.
Wide selections of food and wine. Nothing.
- Markus (7/5): Pleasant but.... - The breakfast was outstanding. The room clean and the bed very comfortable. The service attentive and friendly.
The location, of course, quite unique. If you value peace and quiet, this is the place. Despite all the positives, we left a bit disappointed. Especially the fact that their "super premium" wines were priced at mind boggling prices of 3 to over 4.000Baht per bottle, a price I wouldn't even spend for an exceptional Italian or French wine. When you consider that a very good wine from Italy can be had for around 1.000Baht (which includes a crippling import tax of around 30%), a Thai wine should be much more affordable, regardless of how many silver or gold medals it won.
So you're left with their mid-tier bottles priced at 1.000-1.500Baht, which don't quite make the cut compared to imported wines in the same price bracket.
Also, the 2 wines supplied in the room fridge where a Rose' and a white wine, both around 2.000-2.500Baht. Problem is, the prices are not listed on the fridge menu. Fortunately, we did a quick internet search before opening one, or we would have had a very shocking surprise at check-out.
- Oksana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ailsa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ueda (8/5): Very good -
- Yen (6/5): Pleasant - Quiet and comfortable Nil
- Aleksei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brigitte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Storck (9/5): Superb - I like this place, however this time we have had two points, we have not been really happy:
1) The linen in the bed were not clean !!!
2) During breakfast there has been no service to order a 2nd coffe or tea We like the place in the valley, the "cold" nights, the cottage in the middle of the winery, the lovely arranged surroundings, the wine, ....
- Srisuda (8/5): Very good -
- Car (7/5): Very good location and most facilities. - Good breakfast. Good location. Room is very small. Cannot drive car to room.
- Judie (9/5): Will go again - The breakfast was awesome, staff were very nice and the stay was very comfortable. Maybe the part were we did not get the vineyard facing room.
- Por (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melanie (10/5): Loved it! - The most beautiful views of the vineyards and the mountains, great for watching sunrise! They also had bikes for guests to use around the winery - loved that little touch! Everything was great!
- Sinivaara (8/5): Very good -
- Pieter (4/5): Disappointing, close to being a tourist trap. - The Location was at the vineyard , so in the middle of their wine plantage. That was what we were looking for.
Breakfast included was okay, the basic Thai, Continental and American breakfast type which you had to pre-order for the next morning. The dinner restaurant was reasonably good, had various choices for both Thai and foreigners against reasonable pricing. The place appeared to be a kind of tourist trap. Of course it's December, so the wine grapes are very small. The "room" however (they have about 7) was way overpriced at 2900B The bathroom was far below usual standards.
The 450 B priced wine tour (about 45-50 mins) with wine tasting at the end gave no option to taste the more expensive types they have, just some (4) basic wines, which were not that great at all, but already pretty overpriced for the quality. Wine bottles prices start around 27 euros and up.
- Addison (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent staff, we did the wine tour followed by evening meal and stayed in the wine cottage. Barry, who was our guide during the tour went out of her way to make sure we were happy and even visited us during dinner to make sure everything was special. I wasn't expecting much from Thai wine and was wrong. We had some excellent wines. The wine cottage is quite a long way from the shop and restaurant and you are not allowed to take your car. There are complimentary taxi buses that will collect you, but you have to call them. My particular mobile service would not allow me to make roaming calls so we had to walk a lot (I guess no bad thing given how much we ate and drunk)
- Siew (9/5): Superb -
- Chloe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marc (8/5): Very good -
- Thomas (9/5): Superb - Very nice place, staff very friendly and competent, but ... see negativ comment Did not get the room i booked, check in process very poor.
- Suphot (9/5): Cozy and comfortable country home ambience -
- Oana (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
- Thorsten (8/5): Very good -
- Gitta (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place with excellent staff! 10 points to the chef!
- Soon Jong (8/5): Relax and good view of vineyard for short stay - Breakfast were good. Very generous in giving set breakfast. Enjoy the good view of vineyard just right in front of the guest room. But do not expect too much on the comfort of the room. Is simple but relax stay for a 2 days stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
