- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful surroundings , clean and friendly host :) Nothing
- Mary (9/5): Superb - Location, host, room was very nice.bathroom very nice.
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional - Warm welcome from Sandrine. The room in the old farmhouse was a delight. She kindly included us in an evening meal although she was not expecting us.
- Stacy (10/5): This is a great place to use as a base for the Normandy Beaches. - This was our second stay and we had a lovely visit again. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast each morning was easy and fresh. The owner was lovely and very friendly.
- Wai (8/5): Very good - Room was large and comfortable. Bathroom was huge. Host was friendly. Parking is a challenge. Checking in time at 5pm is too late.
- Tonya (10/5): - Hostess was amazing. The charm and hospitality in a genuine French countryside home. Surrounded by beauty!
- Lkch (8/5): Very good - Our room was very nice, The grounds and breakfast room are no longer well kept and tidy as they were with the former owner.
- GARY (10/5): - Historic buildings very nicely kept, great area, owner was fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone.
- Neil (8/5): We had a lovely stay and would recommend this to other families. - Sandrine was a great host who looked after us extremely well. The meals were all very good.
- Rick (8/5): Very good -
- Lori (10/5): Cozy, clean quiet, quaint with exceptional breakfast! - We had an excellent stay at Le mas Normand. It was a perfect location for us to visit Juno Beach. The beds were super comfortable and the room was very quiet. Sandrine was an exceptional hostess. She resolved an issue for us very promptly. The breakfast was delicious! We would definitely stay again if we are in the area. Nothing
- Edward (7/5): Good, quiet location - Location perfect for British Normandy Memorial visit.
It had been pouring with rain all day but Sandrine welcomed us with a big smile. Difficulty of parking the car.
- Elena (9/5): Superb - Very nice house and a lovely host. Beautiful views around the house. Nice breakfast with local products. Very comfy beds!
Thank you, Sandrine! Our room was upstairs and we were lucky not to bring large baggage, otherwise it would be rather difficult to go up on the narrow stairs.
- Ash (9/5): Superb - Great location and great host - really enjoyed our stay NA
- Aimee (9/5): Very pretty friendly accomodation. - Lovely location which allows dogs. Chickens and guinea pigs in the garden. Bathroom door wouldnt stay shut. Pretty location but restaurants car drive away not walking distance.
- Heidi (10/5): - Beautiful B &B near to Normandy beaches. Peaceful property to relax after a day of sightseeing. Need a car. Room is comfortable and very cute. Bathroom is stunning. Breakfast is a treat. Welcoming and friendly from the start. Highly recommend this gem!
- Marr (10/5): Best stay ever - Really friendly host - lovely accommodation - excellent breakfast with homemade jams Having to go home
- Annie (9/5): Superb - We enjoyed our stay very much! Breakfast each day was amazing. The host was very friendly and even helped us with making reservations for dinner. The location is great, and it was easy to get to all the attractions. My kids loved all the animals on the property. We stayed in the little cottage and it was comfortable for us but it would have been hard for my in-laws to move around the bed. They enjoyed their room above the garden but there are a number of stairs to get up to it. I believe all this is in the information provided.
- David (10/5): Brilliant two days - Brilliant host, fantastic breakfast and amazing room. Magical stay. Nothing
- Bydzia (6/5): disappointed with the unequal treatment of guests - At first, a nice welcome from the hostesses.
Very clean room and surroundings. Breakfast prepared at 7.30. We had a room in the attic so the lack of air conditioning was annoying. Parking was on the street and not on the property. No shampoo or cream in the shower. Unequal treatment of guests by the owner.
Breakfast was served (half a baguette, 2 croissants, 3 cookies, 3 types of jam, yogurt, 2 bottles of juice, 1 cup of coffee each) at 7:30 as requested. However, we were not informed that the sausages and cheeses were on the neighboring table. The breakfast was supposed to be delicious but in the end we ate our own cold cuts and cheeses. No fruit or vegetables. After about 15 minutes, a group of 6 English people came. Thanks to them, we learned about the cold cuts and cheeses on a separate table. The quantity was terrifying. For 8 people, 3 types of cold cuts and 2 types of cheese, a few slices of each. The owner brought milk only to the English. I did not deserve it in the morning. I asked for two coffees at the beginning of breakfast. I only got one, and when a group of English people came, the owner, after serving them, poured me the last drops from the kettle. It was enough for half a cup.
I understand that they were English, 6 people who slept several nights. My wife and I slept only 1 night and it was not worth the hostess to treat us the same way.
Finally, it is worth considering buying a few bikes for the guests, especially since there are many bike paths in the area.
In Poland, in many guesthouses you can rent such bikes, even for free.
- Nigel (9/5): Lovely house. Great spot. Charming hostess. - Great location. Charming spot and house and everything we needed for our brief stay as we toured the Normandy beaches and battlefields Nothing
- Blueteacher (10/5): Warm welcome to an ideal Chambre d'hotes - Sandrine was a perfect host, very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. breakfast was served in a relaxed atmosphere and was good food. Thank you Sandrine. Nothing
- James (10/5): The cutest place in Normandy - Everything, was so cute and quirky. Rooms and grounds very clean, great location to the town and very peacefull nights sleep, we only stayed overnight but wish we were staying for longer, we will return next year for longer. Thankyou Leaving !
- Bev (10/5): Simply Charming - It was simply charming.
- Diane (9/5): Wish we would have had longer to stay. - Was told until we were about to leave that the breatkfast was included. My son found out, but I didn't. Was wondering why there are no washrags are included?
- nancy (10/5): - Highly recommend for a quiet B&B in Normandy countryside! My family of 3 recently stayed for 2 nights. Communication from hostess before the stay was prompt and clear. Hotel itself is very charming- old buildings and a running brook along the side of the property is warm and welcoming. Rooms was comfortable, with a quirky bathroom set up that was not entirely private from the rest of the room, but wasn’t a major issue. It’s France- when aren’t the bathrooms quirky? Shower was modern and better than ours at home! Continental breakfast- fresh local jams, bread, yogurt, meats, cheese and cereal were served in a lovely courtyard. Sandrine the hostess is accommodating and welcoming, with her cat and dog nearby- Location is great to explore the area- French country charm in a central location- Enjoy!
- Denise (7/5): Good -
- Anthony (10/5): - Proximity to British D Day Memorial site and D Day Beaches.
- Nigel (10/5): Lovely - Lovely accommodation and lovely hostess.
- Ingolfur (9/5): Superb -
- Tom (9/5): Lovely spot! - This is a very nice tiny house. Please set expectations to that and it is really excellent!
- Jmztrlvz (10/5): Sanctuary in Ver-sur-Mer - The lodgings were exceptional in comfort and decor. Sandrine was a very pleasant host, as was her friendly dog!
- Katie (8/5): Comfortable stay - The property is a pretty Mas in a quiet village; Sandrine was welcoming and showed us to our room and told us where we could find food to eat.
The room was clean and cool despite being in the attic.
Breakfast was a jolly affair with other couples who were also guests; I only wish I had learned to speak French! The bathroom in the room we stayed in, is tired and in need of an update, the shower in particular needs changing.
There was a coffee machine but no pods provided! Pointless having it there if pods aren’t provided, it would be better to just take it out of the room.
The bed is very low and hard to get out of for older people; when standing the height of the bed came to just below my knee and I’m not tall.
- Chantal (10/5): Wonderful! - Wonderful stay! Delicious breakfast! Attentive host! Peaceful and quiet! Close to the beaches! We will be back!
- Chris (9/5): Ideal quiet location for D Day beaches. Lovely self contained accommodation. - Breakfast was plentiful. Typical continental with fresh produce. Not much
- Julia (10/5): Beautiful stay on the countryside - Very beautiful home on the countryside with a courtyard and garden. The rooms are nicely decorated, very clean and with comfortable beds. The bathroom was very modern and well equipped. Homemade breakfast was delicious and one felt right at home. Extremely friendly host. Nothing
- Pascal (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sophie (10/5): Our stay was amazing. Sandrine the host is so lovely and accommodating. The room was beautiful and the breakfast was ama - The property was in a beautiful rural location. It felt very safe. Nothing.
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - This lady is awesome
- Hollie (10/5): Secret gem. - Loved. Loved. Loved this quaint B&B. I would stay here again and again. Breakfast was lovely. Accommodations were clean and updated. Management was friendly and helpful. Great place to experience the French countryside.
- Keith (10/5): Lovely stay and Sandrine a top host - Calm, well appointed, very clean, great shower, comfortable bed and good breakfast Nothing
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was great - especially the local jams and preserves
- Francis (9/5): A very nice place - A very nice continental breakfast. We liked how attentive people were and enjoyed the conversation with other guests. That we couldn't stay longer. We just stayed one night while passing through. It would be nice to stay longer. Then we could really write a review...
- Edwin (10/5): My stay at Le Mas Normand. - It was very quiet, and tucked out of the way. Our host was most welcoming, and our room and breakfast were both great. Would definitely recommend coming here if like us you were visiting the beaches and museums of D Day. If we were to visit Normandy again, this would definitely be our B+ B of choice.
- Lindsey (9/5): Fab chambre d’hote in the perfect village for Normandy coast -
- Steven (10/5): Fantastic immersion for families with kids in rural Normandy - Location, the farm animals, the venue is exceptional. With kids fantastic, especially the farm animals
- Jessica (10/5): - We chose this property due to its charm and location. Upon arrival we found our host was extremely hospitable, helped us arrange reservations, and set a wonderful breakfast in the mornings. We enjoyed our visit very much! Thank you Sandrine!
- Clare (10/5): Rustic charm - Lovely rustic property, we had the shepherds hut in the garden and it was perfect for an overnight. Enjoyed the animals and breakfast was very good. Charming all round.
- Edward (9/5): Superb - The room was lovely, and full of character. The double bed was very comfortable and a good size (we were in the attic room). Breakfast was also lovely, especially the chocolate bread and jam. Sandrine was lovely and Pascal the dog is delightful. Location was great to visit all the beaches along the Normandy coast. There is a strange glass door affair leading to the bathroom, which some people might off putting.
- Leonard (9/5): Superb -
- Louise (9/5): Beautiful find and Sandrine could not do enough for us. The place felt very homely and welcoming. The bonus for me was - Beautiful find. Quaint location and we were lucky enough to stay in the shepherds hut which was beautiful.
- Taylor (10/5): Wonderful - We loved the cleanliness and decor of the rooms, the access to the beautiful yard, the breakfast in the morning and the extra amenities offered by the host. We would love to stay here again! No suggestions, it was great!
- Tammygilroy (10/5): The property was everything that we hope for and we were not diappointed. - The home and location were absolutely perfect for our trip. Sandrine was an absolute wonderful host and made sure that all our needs were met! Her property is out of a story book and simply lovely. We were fortunate to have the stand-alond cottage and it was wonderful. I should have asked about how to open more of the windows to let the night breeze in. Our cottage had it's own outdoor seating which made it lovely to sip on champagne and watch her two goats entertain us in the evening. The breakfast every morning was amazing and I could have eaten it all day long! Truly a treat that we will never forget. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the matress on the main bed (murphy-style) or add a thick topper to it. My husband could not sleep on it because of his back and so he opted to sleep in one of the bunk beds which is more appropriately sized for children.
Also provide a key to open the beautiful french doors at the end of the cottage and also windows.
- Anthony (9/5): Superb - Great, relaxing setting. Lovely, comfortable, spacious room. Minor point. Lack of fruit on second day but good, continental breakfast.
- Mats (9/5): Superb -
- Darren (10/5): - A great location for visiting the D-Day region at a leisurely pace. The shower was amazing too !! No wifi but we were able to just get enough reception on our phones FYI. Our host was super nice and friendly !
- Sandee (8/5): our short stay was very pleasant and agreeable and good location for the WWII beaches - Excellent petit dejeuner The friendly dog bounding excitedly on my
- Ian (10/5): A quiet and relaxing stay near to historical beaches - The rustic and uniqueness of the property
In a very pretty rural location and very near to Gold beach
The owner was very friendly , the room was perfect and the breakfast was superb
- LISA (10/5): - Visited in late April 2023, 3 adults in 1 very cute room above a storage garage. Such a quaint and serene place. It is quiet and peaceful, in the countryside, a little off the beaten track, near to Juno Beach. You can imagine what it might have been like as a Canadian soldier landing in the area in 1944. The owner, Sandrine, is a lovely lady and creates a beautiful space for her guests to enjoy. Breakfast and coffee were wonderful. Room was very nicely decorated in a country-chic sort of way, and the beds were very comfortable. Shower had great water pressure with hot water. Lovely clean bathroom. Overall - what a wonderful little gem of a bed and breakfast. We hope to return someday!
- John (10/5): - Absolutely superb perfect host friendly a beautiful place to stay very tranquil would highly recommend.
- Nina (10/5): Sandrine was an excellent host. Amazing breakfast and the location was brilliant. Would definitely return - amazing valu - Very clean and comfortable. The buildings are beautiful and the animals adorable.
- Kenneth (9/5): Superb -
- Roderick (8/5): Very good - Our hostess was most friendly and helpful.
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent service and very quiet and comfortable
- Terence (8/5): Other than the parking, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. - Very friendly and helpful hosts who have a varied selection of animals in the garden. Ample seating in the yard for outdoor comfort. Parking facilities. Property is at the end of a narrow twisting lane with no turning space at the end. Reverse in or reverse out. Not the easiest task in the dark. Alternative is to park on roadside at top of the lane and walk down.
- David (10/5): Amazing place tucked away in beautiful countryside with a great host! - breakfast fantastic, location great and the room was amazing the bed was so comfortable! Sandrine was so accommodating especially to our late arrival and early starts Nothing
- Jacquie (10/5): Excellent place to stay! - Our stay at Le mas Normand was exceptional! The property has a courtyard with tables and chairs to enjoy the outdoors and the garden. Our room was nicely decorated and the perfect size for three adults. The beds were very comfortable with nice linens. It was very quiet at night with so many stars. Breakfast was great with nice coffee and a delicious selection of bread, homemade jam and fruit. There is a very good restaurant within walking distance of the property as well as a seawall for walking along the water. Sandrine is a lovely host, very helpful and we would definitely stay again.
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely surroundings and great breakfast. Our children loved the animals and games. Brilliant location to explore the Normandy coast nothing really
